The best food in the area, probably all of Vermont. Stanti is an amazing chef and his wife Soo makes you feel like you're a good friend. It's where we will spend many dinners. There's not a bad choice on the menu. Try it, you too will be a regular.

Our favorite restaurant in the area. We have been many times and have never been disappointed. The chef is the cook and his wife is the friendly hostess. Dinner is great and Sunday brunch is wonderful. If you eat here once you will return.

This was a lovely find. My partner and I went on a Saturday evening and it was everything we had hoped. Soo (who owns the inn and restaurant with her husband, Chef Stanti) was incredibly warm and gracious and made us feel right at home. In fact, after the meal, she took me into the kitchen and introduced me to her husband! We started with a wedge salad which was more like a meal in itself. It was mouthwatering and beautiful to look at. Next, we enjoyed pork schnitzel served with a side of spaetzle and tomato and eggplant ratatouille. Out of this world. Do yourself a favor and check out this gem of an inn. It's really delightful.

Went here for my birthday while visiting my parents who moved to Vermont and was totally impressed. One of the best meals I have eaten all year - and I live in an area packed with restaurants - many of them touted to be the best in the country. This was better. The escargot were the best I've ever had (but I do like curry, and they had a substantial amount of it) beautifully seasoned, not salty and perfectly cooked. Entrees were delicious and it was only $30/pp. Desserts were to die for. A comparable meal by me in Beverly Hills would easily be triple that price

What can't I say about the Victorian Inn that isn't perfectly positive? Located in small-town Wallingford, VT, you'd hardly expect to find some quality cooking and dining. Chef Stanti and his wife Soo run a fantastic restaurant with a constantly changing weekly menu. The food is influenced heavily by Stanti's Swiss background, with credit to different European cuisines along the way. Both Soo and Stanti are highly personable individuals, and truly care about each patron's overall experience with their restaurant. I can't highly enough recommend the Victorian Inn at Wallingford!

the Victorian Inn at Wallingford is one of those special restaurants. the ones you go to for birthday's or anniversary's. it is too decadent for regular dining unless you want to start shopping for a new, much Larger wardrobe (you may not even care however as the food is so good.) chef Stanti and his wife Soo are not only Very talented but also very friendly, they make you feel at home immediately. they start you with a bread service of fresh baked sliced bread that makes you want to stuff yourself. their selection of appetizers is tantalizing (this is about when i realized that i was going to leave feeling That stuffed). and the slightly Swiss selections for dinner were so very difficult to decide on. All of them were mouth-wateringly delicious sounding (turns out they tasted that way too. - i had Tournedos of Beef that was a delight) and of course dessert was wonderful. the Inn itself it is quite eclectically decorated with each room having a theme. the service is Impeccable and the wine list extensive. dining here is worth the trip from anywhere. oh, if you live nearby, they also offer cooking classes! how cool is that?
