Tried this place out and had a great breakfast. I got a special off the board. Coconut Almond French Toast and it was fantastic! My SO got 2 eggs and French Toast and was very happy too. The service was good too. The rest room could use some TLC & repairs though.
This is what Sunday breakfast is about, this is what a diner is. As a former local a trip home is incomplete without a stop at the Dam Diner. Service can be slow. Often that is due to the fact that the place is full and the staff is few. If you are in the area you have to understand that not everything is about rushing, life can appear a little slower if you are from "the big city". Relax - eating at the dam diner is about enjoying your food, catching up with friends at the nearby table and knowing that your meal was made, not defrosted. Pull up a chair, enjoy your mountain of pancakes and remember what brought you to small town Vermont in the first place.
I am updating my review...after eating here several more times I actually found some great things on the menu. They have great eggs and breakfast sammys...and their home fries are good too. Stay away from their pancakes and french toast BUT do try their oatmeal. The lunchtime burgers are awesome but a little on the small side...also their meatloaf was some of the BEST I have ever had... The staff can be a little off at times...sort of like going to McSorleys Ale House in nyc...still worth the visit and NOTHING else around. If they only served beer...

Lovely and gracious older couple host this B&B resplendant with the most decadent and filling breakfast one could hope for. Make a reservation in this cozy little spot and relax. Beautiful during the Winter and warm months, too.
