A breakfast spot where most folks are regulars ... solid home-made fare. It's bigger and more active than it looks from the outside. I've passed it by for years without knowing it was there - that's my loss. My eggs over easy with home-fried potatoes, sausage patty and rye toast was just right. And I got my desired Earl Grey tea too. I'm a fan.

Refill your coffee without asking, perfect little place. Local/repeat business hangout. Great food. Worth leaving the beaten path for the food and the experience, if you can spare the time for this country paced gem.

Fabulous food, great service and fair prices. We stopped for a quick lunch on our way North with our two young girls. There were books and toys to keep the kids busy and before we knew it, our yummy food was there. Chicken sandwiches were excellent. Thanks!

I'm a sucker for small-town diners so Isabell's was an obvious stop for me. I went there 2 days in a row, once for lunch and once for breakfast. Everything is freshly homemade with local meats and other ingredients and you can tell this food isn't something you can get just anywhere! I had the burger with Vermont Cheddar for lunch and it was cooked medium as requested and the cheese definitely made the burger that much better. For breakfast, I had the Country Breakfast and everything about it was delicous. Definitely get melted cheddar on your eggs and you won't be disappointed! For desert, had the brownie with whip cream (again, EVERYTHING homemade with local ingredients) and wow...just get it...trust me. My only beef with the place is when we (there were 7 of us) ordered breakfast, 6 of us ordered homefries as a side or had homefries as part of the meal. When the food came out, the server brought out one 3/4 filled plate of homefries for the table to share and said sorry, but they just told me we're out of homefries and this all we have. Wouldn't have been a problem but there was no offer to replace it with anything else or any discount on the bill...

I've been an occasional customer for about 10+ years. The quality is really fine and the people terrific. The ambiance is old northern New England: a neighborhood place, great food, hang-out spot. You leave happy and want to return again soon. I love it. In fact, I'm having breakfast there tomorrow morning with my ex-spouse. You figure it out.

This is my favorite little breakfast place. Great and friendly service, and delicious food. The menu is on the small-side, but everything I've had off it has been delicious (only breakfast so far). The best thing they have are raspberry-chocolate-chunk muffins. They have real raspberries, and great chocolate. And they're huge. I only wish their location was bigger, it's sometimes hard to get a place to sit.

Isabell's is only open for breakfast and lunch (Mon. - Sat) and the menu is pretty limited, but it's worth the trip. All of the food is homemade with local ingredients, so it's fresh and not packed with preservatives. Some may think that the prices are a little high, but when you think about the quality of the food you're getting, it's well worth it. Plus, 10% of the profits go toward breast cancer research, so you're supporting a good cause too! Plan ahead if you are going to visit because seating is limited and it fills up fast!

2.5 stars. Pretty basic. This is one of my grandmother's favorite lunch spots and at lunch on a weekday, it gets pretty jam-packed. We were lucky to get a table. Unfortunately, though they have a pretty small sandwich and hot food menu, they only serve breakfast until 11am. I had a BLT with overcooked bacon. The service is good, the decor is homey but the pie was only so-so.

Very good omelet in a very nice small New England town. That's all I remember.
