Mulligan's has long gotten away with the usual shenanigans that overpriced restaurants with monopolies over ski area customers pull. While they do have the occasional capacity to surprise, the most frequent result of a meal at Mulligan's exposes much more of this facility's lewd and outrageous conduct. First off, the speed and quality of service is consistently lackluster. Simple orders take over an hour to process on even the slowest midweek afternoon, and the waitstaff is usually inattentive and often rude. For example, my party and I were laughed at when we advised our waitress that not only was there a pink birthday candle in my Diet Coke, but also some unidentifiable matter within my friend's beer. She proceeded to laugh at us, coming back twenty minutes later with a check that did not reflect this atrocious misdeed. It is irresponsible for the restaurant to be exposing its patrons to many potential biohazards, and treating them in a condescending manner does not make their misdoings any less acceptable. Another disappointing experience at Mulligan's was when I was fifteen years old and went to dinner here with another fifteen year old friend. After a two hour meal where an "ice cream sundae" was served that consisted exclusively of whipped cream and pineapple chunks, we were given the 18 percent gratuity typically reserved for parties of six or more. Our waiter, with a smirk on his face, notified us that the restaurant does this to teenaged patrons as a practice, assuming that they would fail to offer a tip. This assumption was highly offensive to us responsible teenagers. If the restaurant is gauging its customers with high prices, the least they can do is treat them respectfully and as human beings. One decent meal I have had here was the 'Turkey Ciabatta'. I was shocked that such a low-grade establishment with such sketchy practices as Mulligan's was able to offer a sandwich whose ingredients blended in such a coherent and dignified fashion. I give them 4.5 stars for the sandwich, 1.5 stars for service and advise them to refine their business to avoid being run into bankruptcy by the many other eateries in the Stratton area.

This is a resort restaurant - not a destination to go our of your way to visit. However, as places go in Stratton they serve a good selection of standard burgers, salads, and other american dishes. On top of that they have a decent selection of local beers (and hot sauces). Recently I have gone for their baby back ribs, but their burgers are also good, and their prime rib night looks promising. The service is usually very friendly and the space is clean. During ski season it can be a better alternative to the lodge.

Very good food was amazing the quesadillas were amazing and good choice to put the sauce for the wings on the side. The dessert was great. Good atmosphere. Like the arcade and downstairs very good

The restaurant is exactly how it is rated; it is three stars. It is perfectly fine but not extraordinary. If you order the weekday lobster special, you get a great deal. I highly recommend that lobster special. The restaurant was not well air conditioned, but it had decent beers on tap and was accomodating for a large group. Absolutely recommended for a stay at Stratton Mountain, but not worth traveling out of your way for.

Pretty average but I guess it's good enough for a ski field restaurant Pros: atmosphere, drinks selection (decent beer selection including local and international, micro and commercial brewery). Good serving portions. I liked the be ribs and the flatbreads. Cons: the waiter we got seem to have something missing in him. Need to ask multiple times for him to register our request.

This place is great for 1) convenience 2) beer and 3) nachos! It's not particularly special but after a long day on Stratton it's a great place to crash. They carry Glutenberg gluten free beer which is great! It's fairly family friendly so there are many kids running around. The Green Door Pub down stairs is more adult oriented with pool tables.

Mostly bad. A tiny bit of good. Apparently, I need to remind myself of this at the start of every season. Specifically, the service was good and the space is warm and cozy. BUT... Dirty menus and dirty silverware covered with spots and even some bits of food. My baked potato came out cold. It had clearly been sitting in the window for quite a while. My husband liked his fish and chips. The pasta our friend ordered was super oily. The container leaked in the to-go bag and there was just so, so much oil. Mulligans needs a major overhaul in the kitchen and of the management staff who oversee (or fail to oversee) the important details.

Overpriced but it's the only late night place in town.

Be aware - they cannot cook stakes! Even for $49! Best dishes: wings and quesadillas.

Mulligan's was one of the few options at Stratton Mountain. The outdoor seating is nice. I had a burger, which was okay. I wish I could've gone down the road to Whiskey Dicks, where I ate the night before. That burger was so much better and cheaper.

My visit was in mid September which is not high season for a ski resort, that said, there was ample staff on hand to handle the onslaught of folks that came in within 1/2 hour of each other and filled the dining room. We were all attending a dance event and there was a dinner break. When I came in with my friend, for a reserved table, there was no one in the joint. We were joined by SOME of the table, but the others sat elsewhere upon arrival. We thought perhaps our server was unaware of that since she served several other tables between our drink order and even coming back for our food order. We had to reach out and stop her to get her to take our order. Once she did come for the order she was terrific and PATIENT as we asked for separate checks up front. She managed quite nicely to take the order, but messed up 4 of 8 orders. We adjusted except for one that had to wait while a new Lobster salad was produced (which was excellent and HUGE) 4 of us ordered burgers and ALL of them were not per our order. All were overcooked. I asked for mine mooing and it wasn't even pink on the inside. The others ordered medium and the burgers were so overcooked they were hard. We collectively were not impressed but survived just fine. The server was a hoot and moving as fast as she could, they teamed up well too. I had a small chowder, and burger and fries, and 2 soda waters, my bill (with the included 17% gratuity) was $27. Not great considering the quality of MY food, but others had excellent quality food at the same table. Go figure? Maybe the chef is just lousy at burgers!

Disappointing. Overpriced. Poor quality. I don't know how you can prepare and serve poor nachos, but this restaurant managed to do that.

Stratton isn't like Stowe where you have a nice little town with at least a few decent dinner options after a day of skiing. When you stay at Stratton for the weekend you're at the mercy of the few restaurants in the mountain village within the resort. Mulligans is a two-level eatery with the ambiance a half step up from Applebees. There's also a bar in the basement with live music, but it looked a bit sketchy early in the evening, perhaps we were too sober. The menu is typical pub fare, but the good news for celiacs is that everything is marked with GF. Despite the menu markings, I'm not entirely convinced anyone is too familiar with the allergy, nor am I confident that they really do have a dedicated gluten free fryer so I'd stay away from the fries. Good draft beer selection downstairs and we had no complaints about the service. The food was ok, but nothing overly memorable. Burgers and fajitas didn't disappoint, but also didn't really justify the inflated Stratton mountain prices.

Great place for the family to grab a bite to eat. From lite bite appetizers to full entrees, Mulligan's is convenient, friendly, and the food is very good. Great village location.

MA! The meatloaf! My friends and I used to joke that every year the menu would get smaller and more expensive but in 2014 they started to turn it around. This is our go to place but alas it is neither disappointing nor spectacular.

stopped in with one of my ski buddy's on tuesday night 3/3/15 and sat at the bar for a couple of coors lites....first of all I just want every to know that the female bartender was GREAT!! SHE WAS FRIENDLY AND VERY ATTENATIVE...the problem I had was with the expensive beer prices.....$6.00 for coors lite ??? they can charge anything they want but when I questioned the manager a I get told " welcome to Stratton ! " that hit me wrong....so having said that we all decided not to have dinner there the next nite.....we went down into town.......I will not be back !!

I was torn between 3 and 4 stars, but 3 stars is A-Ok, and this place is. The first time I went I had a waitress I wasn't all that fond of, but the second time our waiter was good. The food quality is very good, burgers cooked right, tasty salads, lots of beers. Where I start knocking them a bit is choice. The menu is limited and they don't allow any substitutions. You can't put turkey on the Reuben instead of pastrami, no shrimp to substitute for chicken on salads. Barely any vegetarian items. I think this is to keep the kitchen very efficient, which it is, almost to a fault. The food comes so quick I would almost recommend not getting appetizers. I wasn't even able to finish 1 chicken wing and they're putting my entree down. It felt rushed. Come to think of it, it's the root cause of why I didn't like our waitress the first visit. We barely took our coats off and she's asking what I want to order, and then came back every 30 seconds relentless. Ruins the atmosphere. I get that they're busy, they're one of the only gigs in town so they'll continue to be packed.

I have got to agree with the person who simply said meh. The ambiance is that of a unique Applebee's, the table placements are odd, and the food is unremarkable. I've been there twice and while the service has been great both times, everything else is so bland that it's not quite enough to save it. The last time we went, my party of four got seated at an odd table on the second floor in the corner of a hallway. Anyone going anywhere else on that floor walked right past us eating, and right next to our table seemed like a good place to stop and wait for the rest of your friends to catch up to you. It was very bizarre and put a damper on my meal. The Green Door Tavern downstairs is a total dive. We went there instead of Grizzly's because they had a Grateful dead cover band, but I definitely wish we had gone to Grizzly's instead. There was a $5 dollar cover, not mentioned until you got to the door. And not 5 minutes after getting there I was cornered not once, but twice, by a completely wasted guy trying to hit on me. The patrons when we went were all either totally drunk spoiled 20-somethings, or older people enjoying the band. The drunk ones have no respect for personal space and no manners. I almost got into a fight with a girl when I asked the guy she was making out with (the same guy who cornered me earlier) to give my boyfriend and I some space and stop knocking into us. If this is your type of thing, have at it! But otherwise, be a real adult and go to Grizzly's for your après.

Meh. That is what comes to my mind if you said to me " hey we are in Stratton VT, wanna go to Mulligans"? Don't get me wrong, I'd probably go if for no other reason than there is not much else to do in Stratton VT on a Friday night in August. Hey at least the beer is cold and plentiful. The food however is meh. It's not awful, but it doesn't stand out either. The chicken is chickeney, the fish and chips is, fried and not good for you, and the cole slaw is inappropriately warm. The kids ordered clam chowder and it was ok, not legendary. And that is kind of what you get at Mulligans. Everything is ok, nothing is outstanding, and you get the sense that this place gets by on being one of the only games in this pretty small town. The kids liked the ice cream, and we appreciated the waitress telling us that one dessert is enough for 3 kids, and it really really is. You have been warned. *disclaimer* my wife just saw me writing this and objects to the "meh" rating. She says she very much enjoyed her chicken dish and thought it was quite tasty. I think she should get her own Yelp account if she wishes to opine. Whatever I still say 3 stars is appropriate, and frankly our nice waitress is boosting what would otherwise be a 2 from me.

Wow they cannot make a steak. How do you make the inside rare and the outside taste like charcoal?

This place does not have good reviews but my fam bam and I really enjoyed this place! We came here during the "off season." We were on a fall foliage tour and Stratton, VT is one of the places that we hit up. Mulligans was in walking distance to our hotel and only one of two options for eating. Anyway, they had a $15 stuffed lobster special which was DELICIOUS. It was sooo good and soooo cheap. I also ordered their french onion soup which was tasty. Mom ordered NE clam chowder which was solid. And my brother ordered some sausage/broccoli rabe pasta dish which was not bad either. Our waitress was excellent. The hostess left me wanting but not enough to deduct a star. All in all, a very good dining experience.

I got here after a lengthy and fairly treacherous trip to the mountain during a snowstorm and I was starving. That being said, three stars may be a little lenient here. The food here is decent, given that you're short on options in the Stratton Village. We had about three choices of restaurants and one is priced through the roof and the other was really packed so Mulligan's it was. The restaurant itself is pretty cool. There are different levels that you can sit and multiple bars. Good beer choices. Service was surprisingly good considering how high the waiter was. I had the pulled pork sandwich. The pork was pretty good but the bread was terrible on the sandwich. Very dry white bread that wasn't even toasted. I liked the fries a lot, but it's hard to mess up deep fried potatoes. Also had the spinach salad. It's only spinach, no other greens, which was surprising. That was pretty good. Since you're in a ski-town and if you're trying to be frugal, this is probably your best bet. Although I may have been equally satisfied with a PB&J.

This is like watching the slow death of an old friend. For over 20 years we have been coming to Mulligans and it has deteriorated to the point we will not go back. The service, while ok, is now staffed by eastern Euro imports who certainly try their best. The food is another story. It is on par with hospital food for taste, presentation and delivery. My kids burgers were charred black on the outside while near raw on the inside (ordered medium well). The salmon tasted stale and the ribs were not as good as the crap you get in a supermarket. There is ZERO effort on the part of the kitchen staff and management. For an expensive mountain, this place is an embarrassment. Avoid for everything but the beer at the bar.

We enjoyed our meal. Service was excellent, our meals were good and the portions were generous. My husband had the prime rib special which included dessert and salad. I had the pappardelle with shrimp, sausage and broccoli rabe, easily enough for 3 meals. The only negative was that dessert was $9.00. The price wasn't listed on the menu so it was a bit of sticker shock when the bill arrived. Overall a very good experience. Looking forward to baked stuffed lobster tonight!

Stratton is a very quiet area, most of the restaurants are located near the mountain. I however rented out a house and Mulligans was a simple 15 minute drive (despite the 45 minutes the GPS said). When we walked in we were greeted politely and were brought to our table. We had a large group and were put upstairs. The decor is interesting but a cozy little place to stay. The service was average nothing special, but at least the food was good. I forgot what meal i ordered, but i know the table was sharing all the different types of food and no complaints. I would absolutely go back to Mulligans but the only thing was the TVs were dated. It was hard to watch the football game on the small TV they provided around the restaurants. I also felt the service could have been a little more attentive, but it was nothing not to go back to. Another positive thing about Mulligans is that it was within a little village area where you can go shopping. It was a nice touch and gave it a nice feel to the area.

I walked in on a calm Thursday summer afternoon. The mood was dead, but my hungry stomach forced me into this adventure anyway. First, service was subpar. Second of all, half of us found gross foreign in our beverage glasses. In other words, their dishwasher needs to be sent home. The food was good, but the prices are are bit steep for what it is. Classic ski mountain move. If u are hungry at Stratton mountain, this ain't the best option.

I was really put off by the "host" staff. I visited Mulligans for presidents day weekend & upon entry I was pleasantly surprised by the interesting decor. I approached the host stand and politely, asked a dark skin woman with black hair if they would seat us or we could seat ourselves. She then said "well im not the hostess, you can ask her", very rudely, ....well ugh excuse me, she WAS in the hostess stand, then, I asked the actual hostess with blonde hair who flatly told us it would be a 30 minute wait & handed us some remote and gave us the cold shoulder afterward, the waitress was very sweet & the food was "okay" I mean nothing extraordinary for a bar/restaurant sort of ambiance. The nachos and lobster roll were better than expected. I was compelled to write a review because well, if your in the customer service industry you should act like it. Get it together.
