Came with a party of 12 this past weekend. Service was a 5. Great staff, very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the food was horrible. A few of us ordered burgers all of which were cooked well done not to the medium/medium rare we asked for. The buns tasted stale and others had entire ingredients left out of their orders. One of the girls ordered a creamy chicken with vegetables special which did not impress either. We still left a 20% tip but the food wasn't even diner level quality.

Saw the Ad in the hotel folder, and noticed the $1 taco Tuesday. Wife and I took a drive, kinda hard to find, but did...park in the bank lot next door and take the stairs down to the bar/restaurant... Kinda like the Cheers tv show. Very nice woman working , comp chips/salsa...nice touch, had a few beers and a few tacos. Tacos were good, an 8 on a 1-10 scale... I wanted to give it the 5th star, but what started as a really nice visit, got annoying...beer ran out, so the keg needed replacing..took awhile for that, beer wasn't that cold, then when the bill came, I threw my credit card in the Little folder ( half sticking out).. And we waited and waited and waited..annoying.. Still worth visiting...nice little place,

Four of us were visiting from out of state and this place was near where we were staying. Great find! The service was top notch and the special of fried chicken, baked beans, and fresh corn on the cob was a real treat. Definitely recommend it!

We were disappointed in the food here. The sauces were pretty bland. Everything was extra greasy. I agree with another review that this was food in a pinch, but better off going elsewhere for a decent meal.

Came here because the reviews were good, but I'm not sure what the appeal was . The place was a mix of Mexican and burgers. We each had a little of each with onion rings as an appetizer. Everything was just so bland! The side of refried beans was so dry, seemed like they were sitting for hours. The fish tacos were basically ground up fish pieces. Burgers also weren't anything special. Everything was basically food in a pinch, but if you're in the area, you'd be better off somewhere else... Suggestion, skip Mexican from the menu and stick to a stronger pub menu.

For a locals bar, it was cozy. Not upscale but a nice place for a few drinks (don't go exotic) and appetizers, burgers, etc. We got to meet the owner (seems the whole family works there!) and they were super friendly and nice to chat with. I'd go back.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was here. It was fresh and tasty. The service was also good so the hot items came to the table still hot. I would definitely recommend this place for a good casual dinner or even just drinks with appetizers.

It is a very cozy and neat place. Lots of seats and tables inside. Their stuff are so friendly, you get the best smile from them. Food is also amazingly tasty, drinks are well mixed. Service is fantastic there. Definitely will be one of my favorite place in town.

Granted, I didn't get to have any of the Mexican dishes here, so I can only speak about their grill offerings and their cozy atmosphere. Once you plunge down into the Hole in the Hill, you'll see how spacious it is and layered with brick and wood paneling, with polished wood furniture, and myriad sports paraphernalia. I ended up ordering the "Genius Burger," served on a Kaiser roll with a medium-well beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onions, sweet chili sauce, and an avocado slice. Other than the beef patty going to a chewier point beyond "medium," it was a decent burger and their French fries were pretty solid: crispy, a tad salty, and never ridiculous. Next time, I guess the burritos just might be calling me...:P

Delightful, comfy, friendly place. Great hamburgers on special today, $6, with yummy hand-cut fries, mmm. Nice beer selection, the Sam's Rebel IPA is great.

Great little restaurant tucked away down the stairs-you'll find the perfect hideaway to grab and great burger, burrito or fish and chips at a fair price. The food is fresh and the family/owners/waitstaff are super friendly. Want something that's not on the menu? Please ask. If they have the ingredients they are more than happy to accommodate your taste buds. TVs in the both the bar and the dining area-make catching your favorite sports team a breeze. There is a fireplace to keep you warm in the winter. And an outdoor patio to enjoy the sun in the summer. I've gone here on numerous occasions and have invited different groups of friends, no one has ever left disappointed. Pop in an see for yourself.

One of the Gems of Springfield is this cozy bar and grill in the heart of downtown Springfield. Don't let the name fool you... They have delicious dinner specials that are wonderful. Service is consistently with a smile and the customers are all made to feel special. Wonderful burgers and Mexican food and amongst my growing list of favorites. Nachos cooked on the premise with home made salsa is served promptly upon your arrival! Head down the stairs and check it out.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
