Out.....friggin.....standing pizza. Got a cohple growlers at fiddlehead, had the scallop and bacon pizza which is to.die for then a pepperoni, basil and onion number that was fantastic.....and we k.ow our damn pizza. Had American Flatbread the night before and that was amateur night compared to Folinos......

So good. Fiddlehead is next door, so order your pizza, and then grab a growler. Get a chilled pint glass, and get ready to enjoy it all.

  • Jamie W.

Best pizza I have ever tasted. It's BYOB -- Grab a growler of Fiddlehead's IPA (the brewery shares the building) and enjoy. My only gripe is that it needs a few extra tables that can seat more than 4 people.

OMG ... THE BEST EVER. We were looking for a place to go with the kids after a stop at the Teddy Bear Factory so I went on to YELP to see what was near. Folino's Pizza popped up with good reviews--and it was only a mile down the road. I knew it would be good but ... WOW. It is so much more than good. If it hadn't been for Yelp, we never would have stopped there. It is a red corrugated metal building that has zero cache from the outside-- but the minute you walk in you see that it is loaded with personality. Cement floors, a huge long wood table that we (comfortably) shared with another family, the frosty glasses for the beer you can buy next door, and THE BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD made it memorable lunch. The people with whom we shared the table live nearby and said they always come for lunch because it is SRO at dinner time. I know why. It is worth the wait. We have a place across the lake but will make it a point to come back.

One word. FANTASTIC. Meatball, olive and red pepper pizza was to die for.

We really enjoyed Folino's. We just happened upon it one Saturday when out for a drive. The people working here are incredibly friendly. You order at the counter and the food is brought to you. There are cold mugs in a freezer put your soda or beer you can get next door as it is a Byob. Oh yeah the pizza is very good too. We can't wait to go back.

This is a fantastic place for delicious pizza and fresh salad in a low key environment. The pizza combinations are unusual and OUTSTANDING. The ingredients are all so fresh tasting. There's a brew pub next door where you can pick up a fresh beer and bring it over to pour in a frosty glass. Great spot for kids, great spot for adults. We will definitely go back!

They do have really good pizza and for that it deserves four stars however the attitude of the employees is horrendous. I have been there many times being a local and have yet to meet a friendly employee in this establishment. Also multiple times I have ordered food gone and picked it up and gotten home to realize they had screwed up the order. Now most recently I ordered food went when they told me to pick it up to find out they hadn't even made my pizzas yet. There was no apology from the cashier and offering some sort of discount for the inconvenience is the least that a business could do.

Boring, DRY pizza. I left hungry and dissatisfied.

For me pizza is all about the crust, and Folino's nails it. Super thin. Some crunch, but still some pull and chewiness. Cooked in a wood fired oven until there are some blisters. I have no clue how they make a crust so thin, yet still be crunchy with the perfect amount of chew. They put just enough fresh toppings to compliment the crust. Really it is as close to the perfect pizza as I have ever had. An added plus is a cooler of frosty pint glasses so you can have some beer from the adjacent brewery (Fiddlehead) or whatever growler you picked up on the way. Definitely a don't miss.

I came here because I was invited by a friend and it was definitely deliciousness. The pizza. Wow. The dough is just great and the ingredients are fresh and tasty! We got 5 or so pizzas and the Family size salad. I love beets, so this salad was perfection! For pizzas, we got the (Pepperoni with Sausage), (Asparagus, Bacon, 3 Cheese, White Truffle Oil), (Surf & Turf: Scallops, Bacon, Lemon Zest, 3 Cheese), (Mushrooms, Caramelized Onions, 3 Cheese), and (Buffalo Chicken, Ranch, 3 cheese). All were so good. The standouts: surprising simple but really good was pepperoni and sausage. Whatever was in the sausage was divine! Truly truly good and simple! The next best was the one with truffle oil. So so good! You can't get enough of the truffle oil. All in all, a great place to chill out, eat great pizza, and have great beer with chilled glasses. I'm coming back! This places reminds me why I moved to Vermont and the surrounding area is so beautiful!

Just thinking about this pizza again is making my mouth water! Seriously, I've been dreaming of their mushroom pie since I left VT. Beautifully thin and tender crust that you just want to OD on, with fresh and flavorful ingredients!

  • Enmy S.

Great place to visit for yummy pizza. The pizza was delicious, left feeling full but not super heavy. It's also nice that you can grab a beer next door at fiddlehead while you wait for your pizza to be ready. Will definitely be visiting again :)

Some of the best brick oven pizza I've ever had! Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend!

  • Christie N.

Awesome find whole I'm here in VT on business from the WashDC area. Pizza crust was crisp and perfect from the brick oven. I had The Italian with prosciutto. Mmmmmm... Staff was awesome and a great atmosphere. Loved the frosty glass fridge. Grabbed a growler from fiddlehead brewery next door and had a nice evening. Will return when I come back to VT in the future!

  • Allison C.

Pizza was indescribable. Sauce of yellow tomatoes, melty goat cheese, fresh arugula. Chewy, crispy...everything good you want. Huge family bowl of salad with beets, carrots, and greens--everything was super fresh. We enjoyed with a growler of strawberry beer from Fiddlehead next door, and also spent time across the street at the vineyard. There is also a chocolate shop up the hill, which all adds up to the pretty perfect Vermont afternoon. Outdoor seating area is dog-friendly.

Walked in Friday afternoon at 3:30 and were instantly greeted and asked if we had been before, which we had not. We had been driving from Quebec City and randomly picked this place. He explained both the ordering and semi-self serve accoutrements. Just pizza on the menu and that's all you should be ordering here. She got the Margarita and I got straight up cheese. Both 12". Plates, spices, napkins and utensils were all arranged for you to grab and an elevated stand is already at your table. Wood fired oven and outstanding ingredients = fantastic pizza. Both cooked perfect on a thin"er" crust. Hers had the Buffalo mozzarella and mine a shredded blend. Top notch flavor and freshness. If you're in South Burlington and hungry, eat here.

  • Melina C.

We wanted so badly to love this place, especially since it's next to Fiddlehead but this experience was absolutely terrible. The space is really cramped, but that can't be helped. What can be helped is the staff's attitude. The cashier was incredibly rude, and our Prosciutto Di Parma pizza took an hour and fifteen minutes to come out. When it finally arrived, it was pretty underwhelming. We definitely will not be back.

  • Sophie E.

So good. Besides being right next door to the local fiddlehead brewery, the pizza is honestly amazing. They have a ton of different kinds, I recommend the truffle pig or leaky chicken pizzas. They don't sell beer in Folino's, so they let you bring in growlers or whatever you buy from fiddlehead next door, kind of a BYOB style. The atmosphere is chill and laid back and you can watch the brewery in action behind the glass in the back. The staff is friendly and quick. Definitely check this place out if you want to drink a local craft beer and eat delicious pizza.

  • Antoinette R.

Super delicious and pretty well-priced, freshly made thin-crust pizza. It is the perfect spot for a nice and casual lunch. I'd definitely go back if I was in the area, worth stopping by!

    (5)
  • Keith R.

Let me start by saying that the pizza was good, although American Flatbread is definitely better. My gripe was that it took over an hour from the time we put in an order for our pizza to the time it arrived at our table. There's absolutely no excuse for a simple pizza to take that long. Even if it was the best thing I ever ate I probably wouldn't be back.

  • aldo a.

You have to stop here for Pizza--period! Right next to Fiddle Head Brewing. This is a very casual place, feels like your home.

    (5)
  • Susan A.

We had great pizzas with beer from Fiddleheads which is in the same bldg. great deal on Mondays: a 64 oz growler of their IPA was only $8! Brought our beer into Folinos (expected) where there were soft drinks for the kids, seating inside or out, and amazing thin-crust brick oven pizza. Prosciutto and kalamata olives, yum!

    (5)
  • Nikki B.

Great little lunch spot. Pizza was amazing. Awesome outdoor seating area. Grab a growler next door, beer is amazing and Folinos is BYOB!

    (5)
  • Sarah L.

Folino's pizza is very good but pricey. I love a fired pizza with thin and crispy crusts. and you can request less burn on the crust if you aren't in to that taste so much, The oven is hot, 900 degrees we were told, so we wondered why it took 25 mins to get it? We did enjoy a couple of beer samples while we waited which helped. Fiddlehead brewery is in the same building. The inside is neat and would be a great place to display local art.

    (4)
  • Ryan N.

Absolutely fantastical pizza. Legendary quality. That's not hyperbole either. I went here after going to Fiddlehead Brewery (next door) for supper one day before seeing a concert and it was amazing. I actually was talking to my lady friend that this place would potentially be worth the drive from Boston. That's how highly I though of it.

    (5)
  • Nora B.

Amazing amazing amazing! Can't say enough about this place. We go on the way into burlington and on the way out every time we visit. Possibly an addiction. So good.

  • John K.

This is the best pizza in the northeastern US! I know.? That's a rediculous statement to make. But as a native New Jerseyan and someone that has frequented the best pizza places in the world, this rates up there with the best. Now, throwbon the fact that Fiddlehead brewery is next door and you can carry a fresh growler of beer into Folino's and you have the perfect combination.

    (5)
  • Matt K.

This pizzeria shares their building with a very excellent brewery and so therefore it's BYOB! You can grab a Growler or half growler from the brewery, bring it in here and drink it while you wait for a pizza. They even have frozen beer glasses you can use. The pizza is very good, it's made in a wood oven. They have certain recipes on their menu or you can choose your own ingredients and invent your own pizza. On this day, the special pizza had wild chanterelle mushrooms which the owner foraged! Wow! It also had garlic capes which are in season. Fantastic pizza. Our second pizza was the margherita, which was nice but a tad heavy and there wasn't enough basil on it. But still quite good. The service has been noted to be a little weird, you get seated with menus, then you walk up to order, then they deliver your pizza to you.

  • Maya P.

If you like very thin crust that is both crispy and chewy, paired with fresh ingreedients as well as a really fantastic house salad, this is as good as it gets! I don't get meat on my pizza but ordering a pie with almost all of the $1 veggie toppings is definitely my favorite pizza of all time. I personally do like the little burned black bits on the crust - that's how this style of pizza is intended to be made - but if you don't like it you can order it "blonde". The restaurant is in a cool room too and shares a building with Fiddlehead brewery. Be aware it gets extremely crowded; I never go during real lunch or dinner hours. Plus the way the seating is you may actually be sharing a table and bench with strangers.

This has become our place to go when we are hungry and don't want to cook. I love their business model. Simple. They are almost always packed and usually have a waiting line. Get your table and go and order your food at the counter and pay there and then head next door for a baby growler or bigger if you need more of great beer. They make it so simple and easy. They have an outdoor area for the summer time and several large tables for big parties. You get your own glasses, water, silverware etc. they have excellent pizza and a really nice salad. The small can feed two easily and the large maybe about 6. It comes in a large wooden bowl. Did I say how much I love there business model. If I was only younger I would use it. Love that they are right around the corner from our house.

There isn't much to describe here. Folino's is in half of an aluminum barn. There are some tables you can sit at and a huge TV playing an aquarium loop. They don't have table service, you have to get your own plates etc and order at the counter. This keeps prices down as you can get a pizza and a salad for less than $20. The salad is very good (they only have one, but you can pick goat or feta cheese). The pizza has a very thin crust that walks the line between crispy and chewy to perfection. The tomato sauce is pretty tart, which I like. Finally, its BYOB and they don't charge an opening fee. And there's a big fridge full of chilled glasses that you can use. And the other half of the barn is Fiddlehead Brewery. And the 32oz growler fills are $6. And why are you not here yet?

After our venture to Fiddlehead we walked out the door, turned left and headed into Folino's with our beer and pizza on our minds. Taking a quick look at the menu we decided on the large Prosciutto di Parma ($20) pie. I can't see that on a menu and not order it. It is just the way I am. The pizza's here are of the artisan variety. Read: small. We have some places like this back here in Portland where I live and not that there was anything wrong with the pie here. I've just had better. The beer paired well with it though.

Most delicious pizza in BTV. As a former New Yorker, and self-proclaimed pizza snob, the hunt for a delicious slice was top on my list after I moved up and this place does not disappoint. Bonus points: they are in the same building as Fidlehead Brewery, which has since become my favorite IPA and you can bring a growler over to enjoy with your pie. Great place for a casual night with friends or family.

  • Doreen L.

Just when we were complaining of the dearth of good food in the greater Burlington area and one of our friends drops Folino's on us. Wood fired pizza, charred crust, great toppings. We hogged it all down. Plus its BYOB with Fiddlehead's next door, we had a growler and immense good time. Did I mention the oysters on the half shell for appetizers? Tip: if you love seafood, definitely get the clam pizza. Plethora of clams. So juicy! And the oysters comes with the chefs homemade mignonette sauce plus your regular slice of lemon or cocktail sauce (which no one used). Definitely use the chef's sauce or the lemon. So delish!

Wonderful pizza; thin and crispy. It tastes the way I believe pizza should taste! We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza, no regrets there! Service was prompt and friendly. Interesting atmosphere, kids playing on the floor and it was pretty unique set up. It was a good date choice! We will certainly be back.

If you ever had american flatbread in downtown burlington you will love this place so much! We heard about this place from a friend and decided to try it out. As we walked in the door I got a little confused because there was a brewery right next door! Anyways, I will admit the place was a bit small! So if you're planning on wanting to have 10 people it might be better to order out unless you want to wait! We had 4 people altogether and we waited for about 30 minutes. I didn't mind it because we went next door to grab some beer! By the way this place is BYOB! Anyways once we were seated we ordered the "BK" (Caramelized onions, basil leaves, and pepperoni) and the margarita pizza (tomatoes and basil leaves) Oh man was it soooooo good! When the BK pizza came out though the waitress admitted that they forgot to put basil leaves so they gave us the pizza without the basil leaves for free annnnnnndddd gave us the corrected order! Mind you, we didn't even have to tell them. That's how good they were to us! Pizza was cook just right. I mean if you really want the crust to be crunchy just tell them because they can do that for you. We were there from 7-10! I didn't know they closed at 9 but they let us stayed an hour longer so it was really nice of them! Although we live in colchester, vt and the drive is a bit far, it was well worth the trip!!!

This flatbread pizza is awesome! Eat it outside in the summer. I love their food, lots of great flavors, meats, veggies, a good GF crust is available. The waitstaff is cool but the flow of the restaurant is a bit strange with ordering at the counter and paying/tipping there as well. I feel like this could be done better. There is often a line out the door at dinner time and we end up picking up growlers from Fiddlehead and ordering Leonardos instead. However, if you can time it right and don't have to wait long - the pizza is great. It is on par with american flatbread for less $. Great place to grab some amazing pie!

...But Folino had conquered where the Red Baron had failed. And as he stood over the ailing fighter pilot, he snatched the sad, shriveled pepperonis off of the baron's uniform and threw them into the wood fired oven to die one last overcooked death. "Never again will the people have to eat trashy pizza," he announced victoriously, "at least, not in the South Burlington area."

  • Randy S.

Great Pizza, and friendly staff. The ordering system is strange in that you pay first which makes you feel awkward tipping before you have even been served. Secondly, water is self service, I'm not apposed to this at all, but the entire time we were there, they did not refill the water jug even after asking them. Despite a little un-organization, the food is well prepared and very tasty. I recommend trying this place, I hope the owners rethink a few things. My wife and I tried Folino's this past wednesday night. The ingredients are fresh, the pizza is delicious, we are definitely fans of this place. The restaurant does not have a liquor license, so bring your own beer or wine, beer can be purchased next door at fiddlehead, in same building. A few recommendations for the restauranteurs, please provide ice, I know your glasses are chilled, but some people love ice, myself included. Please provide spoons, your parmesan cheese is shared from table to table. Lastly, your computer payment system is great, and I appreciate you not using paper, however, please however show me the total on the screen so I know I was charged correctly as you don't provide receipts as an option. Thank you for listening to my critique, we love your restaurant. I recommend the #12 , scallops, bacon, yum! Also we love your new whole wheat dough

  • Stephanie B.

Pizza is good, not great, but what brings this place down is a bad attitude and utter lack of service. You will pay before you get food. Hint: Don't tip. There is no service. You even get your own plates. Hostess won't even help you when asked how many people different-sized pizzas serve. She clearly doesn't want to be here. That, and you cannot get pints from Fiddlehead, only growlers or bumpers. Truly odd. Experience would be much better with a friendly staff.

I think I have found my go-to pizza place in the area!

Great pizza, thin crust, very casual atmosphere. You can BYOB and right next door is Fiddlehead Brewery. They provide frosted glasses and drinks if you don't bring your own. Would come back for sure.

Good, fresh pizza attached to a great brewery. If you're ever in the Shelburne farms area, i recommend coming here for a nice lunch. The crust is thin and crispy. The toppings are super fresh. The pizza here is simply done but done beautiful. For pizza, this is probably my favorite place in the Burlington area

I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. It deserves 10....really. The pizza is phenomenal. It's a good value for the quality that you get. We usually get a pepperoni and then one that is whatever we feel like. Thus far, we've not been disappointed. The crusts are wood-fired perfection. Not too bland, and not too thick and bready. There's no greasy pan, so all you get is a light, crisp, airy crust. They're not quite flat-bread, but not what you would be from a chain pizza place. The pepperoni is quite generously laid out. I'm not sure where they buy it from, but in the wood fired oven it gets crisped around the edges. It's not very greasy either. The cheese they use is good quality and most importantly used in moderation. You're not going a slice that has so much greasy cheese it just drops off. The sauce is quite good. I'm pretty sure they make it there, because there's been differences in the flavors. Not a huge difference, it's always been quite good, but you can tell sometimes it's got more spices in it, other times it's more tomato-y. The atomsphere is very relaxed. BYOB, but there's a brewery in the building which is OK. (Not the best, to be honest, but good enough). Your food will be brought to you but you're going to have to get your own dining ware....Not a bad thing. It's sort of like visiting family...Right down to the mis-matched furniture! The people there are pretty amazing. They'll remember you if you go back. They'll chat with you if they're not too busy, and of course they'll customize your pizza (if you don't want it quite as charred, or even more charred, just let them know!). I love going here, and I'm going to miss it when I leave.

Wow. Possibly the best sausage pizza we have ever had. The vibe with the brewery right next door is great. Really digged the industrial barn type decor as well. We stopped in for lunch, ordered our pizza, grabbed a 32 oz IPA growler next door for $9 (got the $3 deposit back afterwards), and relaxed and waited for our pizza. We ordered a large sausage for the two of us and thought we may have gotten a bit carried away when looking at the size of larges for others but ended up eating the whole thing it was so darn good. The sausage was outrageously good. I commented to the head dude who I assume may have been the owner how good it was and he commented they made it themselves. Love it and can't wait to go back, hopefully before the end of this summer.

I love wood-fired pizzas for the quick cook and rustic style, but the thing to look for is good technique from the amount of blistering on the edges of the crust. Our pizzas were completely burnt and most of the edges of the crust were inedible. We chose a margherita with pineapple and and the pesto, roma tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella, which had an olive oil base. The fresh mozzarella cheese was amazing and flavors were good, but the burnt edges were something I could not get over. Upon closer inspection on their menu, their pizzas were advertised as charred on the outside. I would find it difficult to know anyone who likes their pizzas cooked this way. All a matter of preference I suppose.

Another flat bread style pizza, yummy to say the least but if you like traditional NY style this isn't the place but try it to be different. Great pies and options, great large salads, all fresh and if you drink bear they make that onsite too and good staff Here you order at a counter, they will bring pie to you but you must get yoru own plates, silverware, cups, they have chilled glasses if you get beer next door and they offer sodas and water is free and you fill your own with that. Another place to get to early as they open at noon daily, if not you will wait but most find it worthwhile to wait.

So over the past few months I have been hearing about Folino's pizza from my friend Erin! Her and her boyfriend go here a lot. Mostly about how great it is and how I would love it. And I was pretty honest with her when I told her I like cheap pizza! (Hello Little Cesar's in Essex!?) I still do. However this place has shown me that there is such a thing as "good gourmet pizza"! They really did wow me. First of all we had 4 of us total eating so we got 2 small pizza's and that was plenty of food for all of us! We got a peperoni and a Margarita pizza. Both pizza's had been cooked to perfection! Not really sure how to put this but...When I took my first bite of the pizza flavors just burst all at one time! The crust was perfect and everything just jived so well. Needless to say the 4 of us left no pizza behind! We consumed it all. We also washed this down with some Fiddlehead brew from next door! It was a great combo. (Check them out on Yelp too!) So at the end of the night I was very impressed. Even the service was quick and we stayed just a little after closing and they didn't hurry us at all. So they had been right and I am now a fan! I will be returning in the near future!

I take pizza extremely seriously. I grew up in Jersey about 10 minutes from NYC, so I have a leg to stand on when it comes to these kinds of things. Bold statement: Folino's has the best pizza you can get in the greater Burlington / Chittenden County area. The crust has that classic woodfired taste and crispiness with just the right amount of light charring. Their margherita sauce is deep and flavorful, and their toppings are always of the highest quality. In addition to specialty pies, they have "the classics" as well as a build your own option, which is very much appealing to somebody like me who doesn't like a whole lot of exotic ingredients on pizza. That being said, I have tried a few of their specialty pizzas and they are quite good. As others have mentioned, the restaurant is technically BYOB, but they are conveniently located in the same building as Fiddlehead Brewery, so a freshly tapped keg is readily available. To make this arrangement even more appealing, Folino's provides frosted pint glasses in a refrigerator they have set up in their dining area. I've been frequenting this place consistently for quite some time now and I am excited to see it become quite popular.

The best pizza bar none. LOVE the bacon, asparagus and truffle oil pizza and the buffalo chicken pizza is also amazing. Don't forget to add a beer from Fiddleheads next door to the frosted glasses in the drink case. And top it all off with the basil ice cream. Yum!

  • Jessi R.

Folino's shares a building with Fiddlehead Brewing, which is where you stop to grab a growler to go with your pizza; can you get any better? Yes, you can--Folino's has a freezer full of frosted beer mugs in which to pour that Fiddlehead beer! (I guess you COULD pour other BYOB into those mugs, but why would you?) The BYOB atmosphere extends to all aspects of the restaurant--counter ordering, get your own plates/flatwear/napkins, bus your own table. I love these kind of restaurants because I don't feel as though I'm inconveniencing anyone, and I can be more relaxed. The pizza is phenomenal, you can tell that the ingredients are fresh and that everything's done by hand (actually watching it happen in the open kitchen helps to confirm this!). Don't hesitate to order an "odd" pizza--Folino's knows what they are doing, scallop, bacon, lemon zest & 3 cheeses ABSOLUTELY belong together on a pizza! This is definitely a place I will return to!

What a nice find. We had the prosciutto and basil pie, it was fantastic. Great staff, great atmosphere. Get there and ask for Rollie.

Folino's is a great place to stop by on a Friday night, grab some beer from Fiddlehead and pop it open while enjoying the pizza (BYOB). The pizza is good, and the atmosphere is friendly. I would prefer to give this 3.5 stars but that is not an option, you gotta stop to grab a pizza for dinner if it is on your way. Great pizza options, I am localized in Burlington so I wouldn't go out of my way per-say to come here due to the options in-town but never-the-less, I enjoy it when I am able to stop by. So stop by! don't be deterred from any confusion whether to sit or be seated and walking up to order, once you do it once you'll get the gist of it. On par with Vermont Tap House in Williston.

The pizza here was AMAZING! We went here for the first time tonight and we must say it was a great experience. The restaurant is BYOB and in case you didnt know or you forgot, there is a brewery right next door. We ordered the Margherita with sliced tomoatoes on top and it was the best Margherita pizza I've ever had. We also got the BK special pizza which was also very good. The service here was also a plus! You order your pizza right before you get seated and you help yourself to plates, water, and the chilled glasses. When they brought our order out, the waitress saw that our pizza was actually missing a topping. Instead of taking that pizza back, she told us to help ourselves to it and she would bring out another pizza with all the correct ingredients. Overall we liked this place better than American Flatbread, but they are both great places in their own right. The only qualm I have about this place is that it gets busy pretty fast and there isnt much seating, but other than that, it was a great first experience!

Best pizza around. Great crust, not too heavy. Fun environment on the grass for bringing kids when weather is warm. Only issue is they didn't design the place well for managing customers when they walk in the door. It gets crowded in line quickly and there has always seemed to be a general sense of confusion among the staff, like they are just barely pulling it off (which in a way, adds to the Vermont quaintness of this place). Definitely our choice for best tasting pizza in the area, though.

I am still thinking about the scallop pizza-we should have ordered two! The salad was huge, there was plenty for leftovers. Go next door, get a growler, and enjoy the scallop pizza.

Not crazy about this place but only been once in all fairness. Was expecting more in terms of service but this is more of a do-it-yourself kinda place. Pizza was good but not great. If you like Fiddlehead IPA then obviously that's a serious advantage going in...

We got here on Sunday after 1 pm. There was no wait for the 2 of us. We were greeted quickly. We sat down and were handed menus and told to order up front. We went up to order and the process was quick and easy. Having talked to 3 staff members at this point all were friendly. We were served in about 15 minutes. Our pizza was cooked well. However some pizzas seemed more cooked than others based on how busy it was which makes sense. The more busy it is the harder it is to cook the pizzas perfectly. Luckily ours was perfect. We both agreed there needed to be more toppings at $2 per topping. Some pizzas sat around for a few minutes because it was busy and there was flies. Luckily we didn't have that problem. The pizza was awesome. If you go when its busy your pizza might be cooked a couple minutes more than necessary. All and all we will be going back a lot as we both thought that the pizza was the best we've had possibly ever. Also it wasn't hot in Folinos as some reviews noted. Bathroom was clean. Go for awesome pizza and you will love it! Edit- After looking at the receipt I noticed it was a $2.50 charge for the artichokes. There was an average of 1 artichoke on most slices. Not cool especially considering the menu said $2.

As a Pepe's groupie, it takes a lot to impress me. Folino's scallop bacon pie is good...but their Prosciutto di Parma pie is perfection. It just reminds me of Italy!

Good pizza made to order. Also, take advantage of Fiddlehead Brewery next door. Folino's has chilled mugs ready to go.

We wanted pizza while staying in a South Burlington hotel, and the reviews for this place looked good, so we called in an order. When I went to pick it up, there was literally no open spot in the parking lot. Always a good sign. Inside, the place was simple, crowded, and a bit loud, but the service was fast and good, letting me escape back to the hotel to enjoy the pizza in quieter surroundings. The pizza was absolutely wonderful! Whatever they're doing, they're doing it right. I'd put their pizza up against anyone's. It's that good.

The pizza here is great. We got the cheese and herb and margherita pies. We also brought over a growler from Fiddlehead next door. The seating is pretty limited and it is first come-first served so that could be an issue for large groups or if it is crowded. Unfortunately, there are no clear directions as to whose responsibility it is to set or bus the tables. We are from out of town and were confused at first because we took the only open table we could find, which was covered in dirty dishes from those who had been there before us. The staff just watched us as we sat there, confused as to what to do with the mess. Eventually we figured out that we should put the dishes in a bin on the opposite side of the restaurant but it was frustrating that no one pointed this out to us. On that same note, if there had been a sign explaining that this was expected of customers, perhaps those who had the table before us wouldn't have left such a mess behind. I certainly don't mind cleaning up after myself or even others (giving them the benefit of the doubt that they didn't know) but it is annoying that the staff didn't make any attempt to explain and just watched us wander around with the dirty dishes instead. In summary, the location is convenient and the food is good. However, the staff is unhelpful and seating is limited. It wasn't my favorite place to eat but if I found myself in the area, I might consider going again.

This place is awesome! We stopped in for lunch after a tasting at the Fiddlehead Brewery in the same building. We took our growler of beer into the restaurant where there are chilled pint glasses provided for those who BYOB. Two of us easily shared a large pizza with sausage and caramelized onions. The pizza was great! Delicious wood fired crust. It could have been the awesome 8.3% Fiddlehead IPA talking, but after lunch, my girlfriend pronounced this place "magical". Highly recommended as a stop for lunch if you are in the Burlington/Shelburne area!

Best pizza in the burlington area. The scallop, bacon, and lemon zest is to die for. Being fiddlehead affiliated is a huge bonus as well.

Excellent food, great atmosphere, and frosty beer glasses! What else could you want from a pizza place? We enjoyed 5 different pizzas and a large family style salad (we came with a big and hungry group). Everything that I ate I really enjoyed. It's worth making a trip to Folino's for the pizza crust alone! Grab a growler of beer from next door, order a pizza or two, put on a record (YES there is a record player and lots of records to choose from) then sit back and relax. The service was great and the food was even better. I give this place 5 stars and I'll certainly be coming back again next time I'm in town. Ask about the giftcertifistick...

A much better experience than anticipated...the atmosphere is great and extremely low-key. It's sort of BYO everything (get up and get your own napkins, plates and drinks). I kind of liked that...made it feel more like a place to hangout and coincidentally eat some good (not great, but good) pizza. Bring over a growler from next door and you've got a nice thing going. One tip, go easy on the garlic! They pile it on.

Simple menu, outstanding pizza. Wonderful pepperoni! Far easier to deal with than downtown Burlington, and a brewery right next door.

The food was good, liked the crisp tasty dough, the margherita was good, not overwhelmed with topping, would like to try another variety before deciding if I like the pizza enough to want to go there often. Probably not the best place in the summer, it was as hot as the wood fire baking the pizza. The salad was very nice and it came in an ice cold soup bowl, most welcome on a hot night. Need to have some ice available to have with the drinks. You can bring in a growler from next door, unfortunately the heat in the room warmed up the beer in no time. Seating was not a problem on a week night. It was a good value...

Our new favorite pizza place. Thin crust, great toppings - LOVED the mushroom / onion one. Salad was crisp, delicious, and big enough to split for two. Home made mustard vinaigrette dressing was tasty and tangy. Prices are very good. BYO, with a vineyard across the street and an excellent brewery next door. Good for kids, too. Basically has everything that Flatbreads has except for the long waits ...

After going to the Shelburne Museum nearby we were starving. We Yelped nearby restaurants and Folino's came up. What was even more exciting is that they had gluten-free pizza on the menu for me. There is parking out front. We were seated and then given menus. Once we figured out what we wanted we were told to go up to register to order. They have an area where you get utensils, plates, cups, etc. They also have a brewery next store where my husband bought a beer and was able to bring into Folino's as they only sell non-alcoholic beverages. The pizza was made and served within 10 min of arriving. It was actually pretty tasty. We shared a gluten-free pizza there was a $3.00 surcharge for the gf crust, but that is pretty standard in most places. I definitely would come back here again if I was in the area.

We ate outside on a beautiful summer evening. We were a party of four adults and two children under 1 year and it was a great place to take the kids. There is a field next to the outdoor seating for little ones to play in if they get antsy. It is a set your own table, bus your dishes situation, so that can be tough if you have kids to manage too, but it also cuts down on the time you wait. It's also BYOB, which is easy if you want beer because Fiddlehead is next door, but a little more challenging if you want wine. The pizza was good, but I have to say the scallop and bacon pie was absolutely delicious. The crust is just right and I love the wood fired flavor. We will be back!

Every time I eat here I am delighted. This folks are doing everything right. The restaurant has an open floor plan and a lot of exposed wood. It has very comfortable atmosphere, and unlike other flatbread places in the Burlington area, you can actually hear your dining companions when they speak. The system of heading to the counter to order makes it an easy place to go with a group of friends, as it takes the hassle of trying to sort the bill after dinner out of the equation. Plus, after you order is the perfect time to head next door and see what Fiddlehead Brewing has on tap. By the time you get back and grab some chilled beer glasses from Filino's fridge your pizza will probably be close to done. The service is always fast. The pizza is wonderful. It's wood fired, so it's crispy with the occasional charred flecks. The toppings all taste fresh and are perfectly balanced. Every time I've gone I have tried something different, and I have yet to leave anything other than full and very happy with my pizza choice.

This was some great pizza. We tried a pesto pie and classic red with mushroom. Good stuff. The salads we had were very fresh and tasty as well. The staff is friendly and ordering at the counter on their iPad system was painless. Also, they have a freezer full of frosty glasses for beer from the Fiddlehead brewery next door.

Came here for the first time last weekend. This place is the best. Some of the best pizza I've ever had, especially with the growlers from Fiddlehead next door. I used to go to flatbread all the time but now I think I'll be coming here more. Much more low-key and a very cool atmosphere.

Yes, we are fans for sure! Love this place and the whole concept. However this past Friday we were staking out a table which is part of the deal. A party of 8 was done eating; they were still there when we left an hour plus later. Could not believe they were allowed to stay that long just to continue chatting while many were waiting for a table. We were trying to impress a friend who had not been to folinos year and it was a hard sell for her. We, of coarse will be back but maybe a limit should beset for those who have finished eating!

Thin crust wood fired pizza with fresh local ingredients. Best pizza I've had in a lonnnnnng time. Grab a growler of Fiddlehead beer right next door or a bottle of wine from across the street and enjoy.

Wow what a joke.Poor service, disorganized, menu is confusing with two different pizzas called the same thing.Someone that knows how to run a business should buy this place before these sad hippies close the doors.

Absolutely delicious pizza and great atmosphere. Very friendly staff, nice cold beer mugs for your BYOB and decent prices. Will definitely return. The buffalo chicken pizza was perfect as was the margherita pizza with carmelized onions. They could use a few more tables but otherwise perfect and so relaxing!

This is a relatively new restaurant in the area...and I always like checking out new things... We pulled into the parking lot on a random mid-week late afternoon (after calling to confirm they were "not too busy". After a little finagling we wedged our truck into a makeshift parking spot. Once inside we discovered despite the full parking lot, the restaurant did not appear to be very busy, just as they had said. I thought the restaurant had a good vibe. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. It was kind of industrial and modern meets natural and organic. It is a metal pole building, so by nature it is kind of industrial. Some of the walls are metal, the floor is polished concrete and the heating duct work is exposed. The colors used throughout were dark and earthy - they felt good. There is a metal scaffold of sorts built in to give the big open room dimension and character and camouflage all of the electrical wires. The tables are custom made from rebar and wood and some stone. There is a nice stacked stone wall being built to camouflage the kitchen work station. The disappointing factor here being that seating is VERY LIMITED. There was one table that sat 6 or so, two tables that sat 4 and 2 tables that sat 2. then there were 3 pub tables to STAND AT and another counter/bar to STAND AT. Outside there was 2 picnic tables and a table that sat 4 (that appeared to be drug out there from inside). When I go out to eat....I want to sit down and relax, not stand. So, pizza is "the boyfriends food". When he eats pizza he eats 6 of the 8 slices of a traditional New York Style Pizzeria Pizza....and would eat all 8 if I weren't around. I have a strict 2-slice limit and I am FULL. So when we got our $13 "Large (Margherita) Pie" and it was basically personal pizza size for ME...it was disappointing. These are hand tossed Vermont-style, wood-fired flatbreads, I should have known better. Had I known they were so small I just would have ordered 2 for us and it would have been enough food...just expensive ($26 for pizza for 2!) The margherita pizza was good, but nothing made it stand out from any other pizza I have ever had. The basil was fresh and delicious, but the dough, sauce and cheese were average. We ate our pizza snack and I went home and made dinner. :-( So my summary: Limited parking. Limited seating. Take-out style service (order at counter and pick up your food when called). Nice Atmosphere. Small portions. Price was a little high for portion size - but acceptable to me. I would go back. I would like to try some of the other pies - and the locally brewed Fiddlehead beer! (Restaurant is BYO and Fiddlehead Brewing is attached to the North end of the building so you can get growlers for take-out to enjoy with your food!) Folino's even provides frosted glasses!! I think this would be a fun place to go with a group of friends.

Nice people and good pizza. Kind of unique that you can bring your own booze or buy beer next door at the brewery. There are several spots we love to eat at in Shelburne so maybe we should just sell our home and move there!

Oh my! By far the best pizza I have ever had! I wish I had taken pictures, but my group seven dug in too quickly. It is great to zip next door to Fiddlehead for a growler of IPA to go along with any of the pizza options. My recent visit to the area; 7 days with three Folino opportunities, including a wedding rehearsal meal on Mt. Philo.
