Out.....friggin.....standing pizza. Got a cohple growlers at fiddlehead, had the scallop and bacon pizza which is to.die for then a pepperoni, basil and onion number that was fantastic.....and we k.ow our damn pizza. Had American Flatbread the night before and that was amateur night compared to Folinos......
So good. Fiddlehead is next door, so order your pizza, and then grab a growler. Get a chilled pint glass, and get ready to enjoy it all.
Best pizza I have ever tasted. It's BYOB -- Grab a growler of Fiddlehead's IPA (the brewery shares the building) and enjoy. My only gripe is that it needs a few extra tables that can seat more than 4 people.

My favorite restaurant in the United States. Hands down. I've dined here dozens of times, never had a bad meal. In fact, never had anything that I didn't care for. My absolute favorite, aside from the delicious, seasonally inspired food, and the well-crafted cocktails, is the birthday cake. It changes periodically, and I've had the most amazing flavor combinations. I miss eating here often. If you're in Vermont, either living there or passing through, this is a MUST.
The Bearded Frog is one of my very favorite restaurants. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and polite, and the food is always a delicious adventure. Some of the offerings seem a little out there, but I love the chance to try new things. For my birthday last month, I celebrated with the "Decadence" dessert--black truffle and foie gras ice cream inside a vanilla bean profiterole, with Courvoisier '21' caramel, fleur de sel finishing salt, and edible gold leaf. It was bizarre, yet delicious! They also have one of the best stocked bars in the area, and a fun cocktail menu to use all those premium liquors. Definitely worth a visit (or three!)
On my most recent trip, both my guest and I ordered off of the pub menu-- definitely not worth it. The venison burger was just okay, and the black bean quesadilla had a taste not unlike something you'd find frozen and boxed at the grocery store, or partially frozen on a plate at Applebee's. Still, service amazing and atmosphere cozy and comfortable!

Wandered my way into the O Bakery at Shelburne Farms yesterday morning and was pleased I did! It's definitely more a workshop type set up but I greatly enjoyed my experience and talk with the folks there. It was a little awkward as I don't think they were expecting anyone so early but the bakers were all very friendly and helpful. Picked up several pastries and croissants (delish!) I would recommend coming to get the freshest bakery items and to enjoy the incredible view.

Inn At Shelburne Farms

99 Inn Rd

Reviews:
My family choose the Inn for a special get together. We made reservations for Sunday Brunch. When we arrived the waiting area was full of people, most without reservations, and asking if they could be seated. The host said there was a short wait. The dining room and patio were full. Many of the people waiting were dressed in tank tops, torn cutoff shorts and flip flops. Several individuals desperately needed a bath and a haircut. One fellow was wandering about in a filthy tank top with the saying "Shot Drinker". It looked like the entrance to a soup kitchen. We wrote it off as a sign of the times. When we were seated, 45 minutes after our reservation time. Our server approached the table and looked at the floor, and began mumbling something about the menu. It appeared she had some kind of speech impediment. I had to ask her three times to repeat what she was saying so we could get our order in. We had chosen the Inn because the last time, five years ago, we had a good experience. Little did we know the nightmare was still unfolding. Our food arrived promptly. I looked at the plates and was just disgusted. The pancakes were BURNT, the burned portion on top. The Sea Bass had no fish to be found, and the cakes were BURNT on the bottom (even worse, trying to "hide" the kitchen disaster. We asked for the check and got out of there. I want a explanation from their so-called Chef. I have had better food served at a homeless shelter What a shame this stunningly beautiful place could have been allowed to sink to this pathetic level.
Had such an amazing evening at the inn at Shelburne farms! Started out the evening by touring the grounds, don't miss out on their delicious bakery with beautiful breads and tasty cookies/croissants. Also not to be missed their greenhouse with a variety of gorgeous flowers. The highlight of the evening was sitting outside on the Adirondack chairs overlooking lake Champlain for the sunset with some champagne. Simply breathtaking. We were quite impressed with dinner, the service was very good and the ingredients mostly sourced from their working farm. To start some delicious bread from the bakery, as an appetizer some of the best tasting tomatoes I've ever had with mozzarella and basil which I wish there were more of. Also had the flatbread which was incredibly flavorful with beets, goat cheese and tomatoes. As our main dish we got the trio of lamb including chop, braised lamb laid upon a delicious chick pea purée. My hubby had the beef duo which he said was phenomenal. We ended the meal with some cheeses which were pretty good. Highly recommend this spot for a beautiful farm visit, delicious meal and gorgeous lake views!
Set amongst the rolling Vermont hills on the edge of Lake Champlain, the Shelburne Farms Inn is a lovely mansion from the days when mansions were really mansions. A Vanderbilt lived here on these 400 acres back in the day, and now it's a tremendously well kept Inn and absurdly delicious restaurant. Take a walk around the grounds while you're waiting to be seated and bundle up against the fresh lake breezes. Soon you're escorted into the marble dining room which is dressy, for Vermont. The whole place has a certain WASPy vibe to it, but in kind of a quaint, sweet way that makes you want to slip on a Ralph Lauren sweater over a collared shirt. Why not? Everyone else is. The cuisine is based in classic French and employs primarily locally grown, organic ingredients. It's very seasonal, particularly the produce which is grown in the farm gardens. After ordering you're treated to several roving treats (gratis), which the more sophisticated among you will call amuse bouche. In my case, I had a chilled watermelon and tomato puree which more or less blew my mind and did indeed amuse the tongue. Next there was something I'd describe as a beet pudding; essentially pureed beets layered with some kind of sweet cream which tasted incredibly fresh and sweet but earthy at the same time. Last, there was a tomato and cauliflower bite; both of which tasted as though they'd been plucked from the garden that afternoon (and indeed they probably had). The highlight of my meal was the appetizer: fried Island Creek oysters with kimchee, pork belly, and sweet chili mayo. If you aren't familiar with Island Creek, they are exquisite oysters which you'll find served at the French Laundry amongst many others. They were fried very lightly and the combination of the pork belly, kimchee, and chili mayo defies description. It was better than good. It was worth the trip to Vermont for these oysters alone. My entree was Vermont-raised grass fed beef with pickled heirloom tomatoes and roasted potatoes. The tomatoes formed a kind of sweet relish which I dipped the potatoes in as well as the beef, which was unilaterally served rare. I wouldn't call the beef life-changing, but I enjoyed it despite it being a bit tough. Last but not least, I enjoyed a creme fraiche cheesecake with rasberries. It made me happy. On the way home, as you wind along the mile gravel road from the Inn to the edge of the property, you're blessed by the sight of the full moon reflecting off the lake; the waves gently lapping a good-bye as the light dances along the shore. Around $65 a person including tax and tip, but not wine. Open from mid-May to mid-October. In the Winter, it's like THE SHINING.

Cucina Antica

Reviews:
Chef William has created a fun family place with delicious homey Italian cuisine. Casual and cosey, with local beer on tap, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Pizzas baked with their own in-house crust, plus a whole wheat crust option. Good ravioli specials. And the wait staff is very friendly.
Cucina Antica recently put out a new menu and as a regular, I can say it's quite amazing, new fresh and great twists on their entrees. It's always hard for me to choose between their custom pizzas or their pasta dishes. I recently had the new Chicken Gnocchi and it was AMAZING, the homemade gnocchi was fresh and better then any I've ever had. The chicken was so moist, honestly I don't even know how to cook chicken like they did. I could also tell the cream sauce was made to order, because I asked to hold the garlic and the waitress said she would make sure Chef Matt wouldn't make the sauce with it! I can't wait to try the new salmon entree too.
this is my second time reviewing for Cucina. the first review was not as detailed. I have probably dined at Cucina more than any other restaurant. It's located in my town, not far from my house. it's cozy and friendly. I'd like to think i've tried a large variety of things off their menu so i want to touch on a few. First: anything Lobster, alfredo, ravioli etc. you will not be disappointed. 2nd, their pizza, just thinking about it makes my mouth water. a couple of my favorites: the chico, the green mountain, and camels hump. their whole wheat crust is amazing, plus they have gluten free crust as well. their antipasto is a must. I'm also a very big fan of their salmon. their steak and cheese with au ju is another great option. I lived in Greece for 3 months so i am picky about my gyros but their gyro can definitely match up. they have a nice selection of wine and beer as well. and last but not least: dessert, the chef's wife makes a TO DIE FOR lemon cake. I don't even like lemon! and i love this cake. you also must try their cannoli. so to sum up everything i said: if you haven't been here yet, you need to go.

This is a great burger-plus-other-options stand. We had some burgers and a chicken breast. The blue cheese burger was fantastic as was the mushroom burger. The fries were tasty too. The chicken breast was juicy and had good flavor. Also, the kids working here are really friendly and energetic. We sat at the sole picnic table in the grass with our dog. When my order was ready, one of the line cooks helped me carry our order to the grassy knoll. This is one of the better roadside stand food experiences I've had. We'll be back for sure.
I experienced several bad impressions before we even sat down. They don't accept their own Yelp offer. I was told that they can only accept the Yelp coupon if it was printed, which makes no sense. Several of the beverages were marked as "Out for the day." Also, They had no soup of the day. The food was, in general, very mediocre. The chili was grainy and did not have much flavor beyond the tomato. The burgers were significantly smaller than the bun, and included 2 very small strips of bacon. However, they did taste good. The chipotle sirloin sandwich also had a good taste. You won't be disappointed if you don't have any expectations. Upon reading the Yelp reviews, we were excited to come. But, in the end, it was disappointing.
What Archies lacks in ambience, it more than makes up for in consistently well cooked food. Is this fine dining? No, but they have the best burger buns in town, make decent fries, and have a fish sandwich to die for. (Seriously, we live no where near this place, but drive all the way there just for the fish sandwiches.) Is the fish frozen? Yup, but if I could buy a box of the fish they use, I'd do it gladly. Yum! Summer, winter, fall or spring -- Archies is consistently good, the people are friendly, the service is fast, and the prices are great. In warmer weather, they have a covered patio, and we like sitting out there. The best thing about it is that the owners are always trying to make it better. What more could you ask for? I love to eat out, and I love fine dining, but compared to every other restaurant in the Burlington area, Archies is the most dependable joint in town, hands down.

We were up in the area over a long weekend and were looking for Italian food. Luckily we decided on this place because we had a great time! We got the sampler of local beers (on a VT shaped board--so cute!) and then each got a pint of what we liked most. We also got linguine with clams and a pizza that was half margherita, half peachy chicken. The food was good and the service was excellent. My only complaint is that the lighting kind of hurt our eyes. We would definitely go back if we find ourselves near Shelburne again.
Please skip this place. My primavera was so lemony I could finish it. The shrimp scampi that one of our party had was also very lemony. The carbonara only had very over cooked pancetta. My hubby had the chicken parm and it was decent. The only redeeming part of the meal was the appetizer of calamari. Drinks were terrible and only came after our appetizer was served.
Situated on a less busy part of Shelburne Road, this little place was a nice surprise. I love the Brussel sprouts.

Good for a local bagel chain. Nothing outstanding, besides the help, they rock. Some new soup choices might be nice!
I go here every now and then and the young kid that works afternoons is so sweet and helpful. I actually order a sndwich that isn't on the menu anymore but he will still make it for me. Love this place.
I would not suggest going to this location. There were three people working, and we had to wait a good 15 minutes before they even took our order. I had a BLT and they put 2 tablespoons of mayo on it and only three slices of bacon. They got my husbands order wrong, and snapped at us when we tried to ask for an extra topping. Overall the food was ok, but the service was pretty lacking.

In town visiting and ordered delivery to my hotel. Delivery took an hour and ten mins. Guy didn't have a pen for me to sign my check with. Which was fine since I had one in the room. I didn't get any silverware..I am in a hotel so a bit difficult there. I also did not get the parmesean cheese I specifically asked for. The chicken parm is OK. However more like slices of chicken with cheese on it. Pasta dumped on top and then sauce on that. Very interesting. Sauce is really sweet. Likely wouldn't order from here again. Just not my cup of tea.
It's not unusual for Marcos to be delivering several orders to our building simultaneously around lunch time on any given day. Their 2 slice deal with a soda for 5$ and their 6$ small (HUGE) subs are as tasty as they are a great deal. The ciabatta is good enough to eat plain. I know this because I've done it. I love Marcos food and only wish I had more time to stay for a pint when I arrange for pick up instead of delivery.
To start, the tables and chairs were all damaged and looked greasy. The tables were dirty and looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in a while. We started with a salad and it was okay, typical pizza place salad, nothing special. But the pizza was a disappointment, the crust was undercooked and soggy. The sauce was flavorless and the toppings were undercooked as well. We were given plates with our pizza but didn't use them because they looked as though they hadn't been washed since they had been used last.
