We stayed the night at the Parker House Inn, spent time at the bar, and ate a wonderful dinner. The hospitality, service, quality of the food was stupendous. As a visitor from California, this restaurant and inn is head and shoulders above a lot of places we've been to from one coast to the other. Thank you for such a great experience. .....we will be back. J and G

Quint inn, table overlooking river. Service was good, Fixed price menu at $70 pp was a rip off, more than individual items on regular menu. Food was good but not worth the price, it should have blown my socks off.

Food was great, service was okay. The smoked seafood board is really good, but only serves two - not a whole table. I got the crispy duck with blueberry compote and risotto - absolutely delicious. My sister had the seafood risotto and loved that as well. The salmon was also a hit at the table. The downside was that it was really hot that day, and the window unit air conditioner couldn't really keep up, and the waitress seemed to forget about us for long stretches of time so the heat got bothersome. I would go back though, especially during ski season. Most of the dishes have mashed potato as the side which is not my favorite, but I think they sub in other items pretty willingly.

Amazing food, service, & drinks. This is my favorite restaurant in Vermont, hands down! Great atmosphere, relaxing and classy! I have never had anything but excellence from this lovely establishment! Adam is wonderfully delightful!

Stumbled in after once again getting blown off by Simon Pearce. Adam was very accommodating and the place oozes with charm. Menu is simple and good with the drinks very appealing, but we had a long drive after, so maybe next time. Definitely worth stopping in and enjoying good hospitality.

I've been going to Parker House for so long that I can't believe I haven't written a review yet. Parker House has long been my family's go-to restaurant in the Woodstock/Quechee area because it is so excellent. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere (and view) is perfect year round. Adam and the staff are also lovely so the service is always great as well.

Absolutely fantastic. Every course was superb. Can't believe I have lived here over a year and didn't try it until now!! Really liked the owner and the waiter as well!

Closed the place down. Excellent bistro menu. Comfortable atmosphere. Highly Recommend and will go again when in Quechee.

I give 5 stars to The Parker House Inn without reservation (pun intended). I went to The Parker House Inn for dinner. I was welcomed at the door and, even though it was very busy, I was made to feel welcomed right away. The service was great without being overbearing. I like it when service providers monitor my needs from afar and fill my water glass before I even notice it's low. I knew my server was paying attention when she came to ask me how everything was AFTER I'd finished chewing the fork full of food in my mouth! Such a simple thing to do but few are so aware. The food was delicious. The owner-chef came out to talk with me and the conversation was engaging and interesting. It made me feel special and I look forward to going back again soon.

Stopped in for a drink and app before heading next door to the glass blowers for dinner and we never left! The super friendly bar tender (and owner...also married to the chef) created amazing bevvvies while we lanced over the menu and got a full dinner. Super outgoing and passionate about everything on the menu, we shared the muscles, escargot and duck and nothing but completely satisfied. What a gem! I can't wait to head back to this cozy Inn for dinner (or perhaps even a night) and have more of a taste bud explosion!

Went to the Parker HOuse Inn for dinner on Christmas eve. There was a great variety on the menu. The dining room was very busy but the wait staff handled it with ease and professionalism. They attended to our needs and anticipated our needs before we did. They were friendly, non intrusive, and polite. The food was delicious, from appetizers to desserts. This is a place we will visit again.

We stayed three nights here - a WONDERFUL experience. The food was simply amazing - it's a chef owned B&B!! Breakfasts were delicious, but the dinners were even better. MUCH BETTER than dinner at the glass-blowers! And the overall service and experience at the B&B was wonderful. Go stay with Adam and Alex if you have the chance, but definately EAT THERE!

Stayed here with my husband and our dog. Absolutely loved it! We stayed in the Norwich room, which was adorable and modern. Our dog loved lounging on the ottomans by the big windows. Dinner was exquisite! We ended up dining there both nights as we didn't want to go anywhere else. This is a local gem and I highly recommend either dinner or a weekend getaway to the Parker House Inn!

Our night away at the Parker House began with a martini (or two), progressed to a fine meal, perfectly paced, and with some great wine choices - and ended with a proper scotch (or two). Eight hours later, I was enjoying strong coffee, a decent Wifi connection, and eventually, a hearty breakfast. This isn't your grandfather's B&B. Underneath the antique, tucked-in-the-country veneer is a upscale, cosmopolitan vibe. Adam and Alex are great hosts and made our little getaway a weekend to remember.

We'd been somewhat disappointed with the atmosphere, service and food of our first dinner in Vermont at the Barnard Inn so we hoped for better on our second night in nearby Quechee. And we were initially impressed with our choice. The Parker House is quaint and romantic and we were nicely greeted and given a comfortable table near the fireplace. The service was also attentive and efficient but, unfortunately, the food didn't match the service. We began with the goat cheese tart, something we're almost guaranteed to order when it appears on a menu, but this one was a little burned and we were disappointed. The duck breast entree was good but the steak was chewy and almost inedible. We didn't sent it back...but we should have. Overall, the Parker House has potential but the kitchen needs a lot of work.

Being in "the business", we appreciate good food and service as much as the next person, but this place seems to get better and better. Caroline & Arty

I'm so happy this place will be part of my wedding memories. My (now) husband and I stayed here for our extended wedding weekend during the beautiful foliage season and loved every moment. The Parker House has a wonderful location right on the river in Quechee with a balcony that allows you to take in all the scenery surrounding it. Daily balloon trips follow the river and you can easily catch one of these bright beauties passing by your window over a cup of tea or one of Adam's wonderfully made martinis. Adam, the owner and innkeeper, does a wonderful job of making you feel like part of his family while he seems to practically live at the place just to make sure the guests are satisfied. I don't know how he has the energy, but he is there to serve the last drink of the night at the quaint little bar in the back of the restaurant and then serve the first round of breakfast the next morning. Speaking of food, the in house breakfasts were so good even my wedding jitters couldn't keep me from seeing what new creation she had made each morning. Adam's wife is the virtually unseen chef behind the scenes of these amazing breakfasts and delicious dinners...they truly are gourmet. Adam worked with us to prepare a beautifully orchestrated rehearsal dinner in their dining room...one of the few places of fine dining in the area. Staying in VT during peak foliage season is pricey, but you'll find their prices are comparable to many of the other inns in the area. All of the rooms were clean and unique, each with its own perk, making it a tough choice for which room we'd stay in for this unforgettable weekend. If you don't stay here, be sure and stop in for dinner or a lovely chat with Adam over a martini.

My husband & I stayed here to relax after Christmas. We requested a specific room because online it said it had a jacuzzi. Now before I say anything negative I first want to state that the host/Inn Keeper was very pleasant and accommodating, the dessert (chocolate lava cake) was delicious and he made the best French Martini I have ever had. Now for the not so pleasant part. The "jacuzzi" turned out to be an old bathtub with jets, not larger than a reg tub. The room had no shades and anyone could in see who was passing by on this main and popular street. We asked to switch rooms to what seemed to be the only room with curtains and were told we could have whichever room we wanted. The bathroom in this room was incredibly small, there were pubic hairs on the floor and the shower curtain was moldy. The bed was very comfortable and clean which was a relief. There are no tvs in the rooms so before bed we went to the little tv room to watch a show and hang out. The furniture was stained and dirty looking and very uncomfortable. The room we stayed in was also very loud. We could here everything going on in the restaurant. Now I understand that this Inn is meant to look more like a country home and not be brand new and modern. However, it really needs a facelift! If you are spending close to $200 a night you should at least have a clean bathroom.

Somewhat hit or miss. The atmosphere -- especially on a summer night -- is fantastic. The service, splendid; the wine selection, excellent. The food is where it gets tricky. I have eaten here several times, and consistency seems to be where they suffer. Some of our (my wife and I) dinners have been truly excellent. Other times, the risotto has been poorly cooked, and the steak overcooked (a medium-rare cooked delivered as well done). Similar issues with the chicken (overcooked/dry). However, there has never been an issue with the flavors That said, it's hard not to enjoy yourself here, and you are more likely than not to have a wonderfully prepared dinner. Just don't stake your life on it.

Just returned from a four night stay at this very accommodating inn. We enjoyed our dinners immensely! Just excellent food, delicious! We had heavy appetizers both nights we ate here, and found them entirely satisfying . The white bread is a bit of a draw-back for real bread lovers. The views are beautiful from the porch, where most of the diners eat. The room we stayed in was very adequate, if not a designer's dream. The accoutrements to this beautiful old house could use a decorators touch, or at least, fresh flowers might help. Obviously, the owners' attention is going on to the food, which is appropriate. This is probably a better bet as a dinner venue than an overnight stay. Breakfasts were predictable , the same each morning. I would have liked a little variation, something healthier than eggs and waffles. Having said all this I will say that the dinners, while expensive, were beautifully and carefully prepared, and were delicious. I recommend as a dining destination. If only they could decorate as befitting such a nice old place!

We had dinner here for a celebratory dinner on our recent trip to Vermont and really loved it. We were outside, and the view in all directions was very picturesque and pleasant. The food was even better though. We shared a number of appetizers and salads to start off the meal. The gazpacho with lobster was the soup of the day and it was excellent. The mussels of the day were Provencal--very good, tender and flavorful mussels, but I would have enjoyed some toast and aioli with them--just me. The two salads we had (A grilled Caesar and a watermelon and greens) were delicious, and the Fisherman's board was excellent. My husband had the goat tart and it was delicious. Our table had two risotto dishes that were spectacular--the lobster and shrimp risotto and the scallops with truffle risotto were spectacular.

Had a fantastic experience popping in here for a pre-dinner drink last night. Very cozy bar and a really first-class service experience. We were all very pleased and would have stayed if we hadn't had reservations next door at Simon Pearce. We're already planning to return next month for a small celebration and can't wait to get back to that wonderful warm atmosphere.

The Parker House has become a favorite place for my husband and me to eat and hang out, whether it's in the bar or restaurant or, in warm weather, outside on the porch featuring a beautiful view. We find virtually whatever we select on the creative menu to be exceptionally good, and typically find meeting people at the bar (both locals and guests from around the country and the world), stimulated by the co-owner bartender to be interesting and often very engaging as well.

Had our 5yr wedding anniversary dinner here. Make reservations well and advance and specified that we were celebrating our 5 yr and asked for a special table. Called the day before to confirm. Got there an was given one of those tiny tables right in the middle of everything. Not what I wanted. Very disappointing. Drinks were good. Got a French martini and a bottle of Rose. Appetizers were a squash bisque for my lady and I had a ceasar salad. Salad was good, nothing great. Have had better butternut bisque. I got the filet migon (most expensive item on the dish at $36). Was okay. Nothing great. Have had better many times. Wife got the salmon. She enjoyed it but again has had better. The best part by far was dessert. Got the kahula toffee chocolate mouse cake. Amazing. Went back the next day and got a piece to go. I would not go back expect to get the cake to go
