Mountain View Snack Bar

Reviews:
We've eaten here several times at the different locations: one just past downtown Stowe, one a little further along on Route 15, and one at a sort of camp/club place. Huge menu, quite cheap (four people can get meals, fried sides, and drinks for less than $40 all together), and friendly service. We've tried the burgers, shakes, almost everything fried (the fried mushrooms are surprisingly good - very crunchy breading and they get cooked all the way through), creemees, hot link sandwiches, and lots more. Look up for the main menu in white-on-black lettering, plus the enormous array of specials advertised on colorful laminated signs all over the front. There are often flies zooming around the tables closest to the snack bar, but there's always outdoor seating on a little grassy area, or you could always get it to go too. Essential for your summer fried food fix!
Best place on a hot summer day, they have hundreds of creeme (soft serve ice cream) flavors and great hot dogs and burgers, the one on Route 15 offers pizza as well. Be warned, the lines can get really long, and the waits are hard to do in the hot sun.but it's so worth it
This review is for the Stowe location. Don't get the bison burger! Most items seem to be frozen which is good for the ice cream but bad for everything else. It has a huge selection which means there is no telling how long it's been frozen. And it all seems prepackaged

Great pizza....as good as it was thirty years ago....Greek style pizza with nice perfect crust....good sauce and fresh toppings....delicious mushrooms and sausage....just the right amount...
Fan of this place, the service is great, the food is yummy. Even if you decide to eat in its still a great place to do so.
Mediocre bland low quality ingredients. Only if you're desperate should you eat here.

Reviews:
We were vacationing in Stowe and followed this Yelp review to Fu Lins. The place was in the middle of nowhere and we were the only ones in the dining room. However, the food was very well done and was not pricey at all. Better than anything we ate in stowe and a 1/4 the price. Was being run by one lady and her small children and you can tell they put alot of work into there food. Would definitely recommend to make the 20 min drive when in the area.
This place used to have amazing food the waitresses are not the friendliness at all but huge portions and great prices but lately it's so hit or miss I went to sit down and my hand stuck to the back of the chair than when I sat down my arm stuck to the table. Still nice portions for the price but when I ordered my food I keep hearing them turn the microwave on The coolest thing is at the end the receipt is written in English and Chinese awsome
This was my first time there. I ordered a Pu-pu platter for 2 for $15.95 thinking it would be like every other "for 2" meaning enough for 1. Boy was I wong. Not only was there A LOT, but it came with fried rice and was GREAT! It was in the top 5 Chinese places I've ever eaten. I would recommend Fu Lin's.

Good food, cold beer, constant music. What more could you want?!? Moog's delivers on all counts. Service is fast and good. Recommended.
Might be the only real bar in the area. Booze & bar food as expected. Wings were great, so would return for those & the beer. Burger was decent, but the chips & salsa needs some work, or take it off the menu. Nobody wants salsa served in the size of a shot glass bowl. Then again, we did order chips and salsa from a bar in Morrisville, so expectations on Mexican food should be kept low.
Most informative passionate bar tender I've ever met. Passion oozes from him. What a refreshing place and hidden treasure!

We visited for the weekend, saw the sign and it looked like it would be a nice place, and we were wrong. Unfortunately there is not much choice in the area. Contending for my vote of "worst place I ever ate" and way overpriced for the low food quality, slow service, and small portions. The first night, our friends, who visit the area often, said this "restaurant" was nearby our B&B. We ate downstairs with our group, The service was slow as the bartender had to take care of the bar and the tables. He was knowledgeable as far as local / craft beers, if you are into that ( I am not). For a relatively small-med size menu you would think the execution of the food would be high standard, it is not. With it being one of the few eateries in the area you would think they would have a fresher quality of food, if only for the reason of volume, instead it looks and tastes frozen, and low end frozen at best. We didn't fall for the "cook on a lava stone" gimmick, although, I imagine if done correctly, it would be a nice experience. I had 'Smoked pork w/ BBQ sauce', pork loin was not bad, BBQ sauce tasted like it came out of a plastic jug, and obviously not made in house. The fries were bulk frozen industrial quality, sting beans (yellow and green) were limp, tasteless and of the frozen quality. I tasted my fiancée's clam strips ( which she was excited for) and they were overcooked to nearly fryer burnt, dry, rubbery, and aside from the over-fried commercial breading flavor, had a stale, low quality, almost fake clam taste. It took several trips of the waiter/bartender to bring out any one persons complete dish ( condiments- tartar, ketchup, sour cream etc_). Out of necessity and convenience we were back to this place for the last night dinner before we all headed our own ways home. The waitress took about 10 mins to realize we didn't even have menus, another 5 to get our dinks (4 sodas, 1 water and 1 wine) the wine actually took an extra 5 minute on top of that. Took longer before she came by to even take the orders, you can see where this is going. I had the "SouthWest soup" or a normal person who was given this would call it; ".. just a cup of really watery chili.." my fiancée had New England Clam Chowder, I had a taste, and it seemed canned with a heavy fake bacon flavor. Salads were of the pre cut, bagged, ' mixed fancy greens" quality, with off the shelf dressing (what little of it they give you). We decided to reduce our suffering and order just an appetizer to share, we ordered 'Nachos", cant mess up Nachos right? WRONG!... worst Nachos ever. Cheese on top was dried out and sort of burnt but yet not really melted, raw bell peppers, dry "beef" which was pretty flavorless, chips were said to be "homemade" but again were just bulk restaurant supply chips, next layer of cheese wasn't even melted but still in a cold clump, Guacamole and salsa (which were extra $$) were of same quality as everything else. Stay away and just go across the street to the chain with the big yellow letter logo.
Went here for some breakfast. It took forever. Food was typical diner food, bacon was stuck together, yeah I know there are worse things in the world but this yelp so i can complain about those things. Server was nice enough, kind of mannish figure.
Their home-made toast is delicious and their prices are affordable. We stopped for breakfast and enjoyed everything we ate.
