We had breakfast here one morning while in town. I had an onion bagel with vegetable cream cheese and my husband had French Toast bagel with butter both were very good. They advertise that they use unbleached flower and their dairy products are hormone free. The staff was friendly and prompt. If you like your toasted bagel to be browned then ask that they double toast it. Their setting seems pretty low, just warm enough to melt butter. It's not actually toasted. Try to get a seat by the window so you can enjoy views of the river along with your meal.

More like Bagel JERKS would have been the totally sick zinger that started my review if BW had completely sucked. But it doesn't suck. At all really. It's like a better and classier version of Bruegger's (don't know if VT has these). The bagels are decent for Vermont at least and I got a California Wrap that made me very happy. For non-total ripoff places in Manchester, you've got pretty much this and the hot dog lady, and apologies to my 7 year old self but you just can't eat hot dogs every day (sorry lil buddy).

The wait is a little long and the wait staff is very friendly but not very efficient and appear to be in each others way in the very small work area. The food is decent and filling.

Evidently there are two entries for this place... Just want to reiterate that this is a really stellar place for a bagel in Manchester... I think good offerings for both bagels and applications, a welcoming and helpful efficient staff, and very good coffee. It is all there.

Bagels were tasty, staff were a little cold. The bagels are a little different from the usual, crispy outside and softer inside, very tasty though.

Really tasty bagels. We ate here for lunch. They use a lot of local ingredients. Very reasonably priced in a town where thing tend to be very overpriced. Will go back!

I think I had a bad experience at Bagel Works. I wanted to my usual breakfast sandwich - bacon and egg on an everything bagel. The whole process took much longer then it should have. The bacon and egg were decent (how can you mess them up really). The main pain point was the bagel. I require a nice tender bagel, that has a subtle, crispy shell and a chewy inside. I did not experience that. The bagel was thin and chewy... and all of the toppings just flaked off..... I hate that. Finagle and the bagel saw is king!

I'm being way to nice to people today. Just a little story here. I saw one of the workers drop a frozen bagel on the floor and then, oh yes, subtle like toss it back onto the counter. Good bagels. Don't like the sandwhiches. The ingredients taste soggy and cheap. Wait a minute why would I eat here anyway after the floor incident. ah, well that happens everywhere.

had lunch here while we waited on the laundry, line was out the door so we hesitated, but it moved FAST! loved watching the employees making the orders. had panninis, so awesome, and real brewed, not snapple, tea was a treat for these Texans! will definitely be back

Great bagels, but average service... Went here for breakfast twice during my stay in Manchester. Once for a breakfast sandwich which was alright... they ran out of bacon before me getting there at 7AM, which I found to be disappointing. Fortunately the bagel was amazing. On both visits the staff was average in their customer service. Not overly friendly or helpful. Overall, I would recommend if you're looking for a good bagel in the area. Would return myself if the service was a bit friendlier - I could have just come in on two "off" days.

Fresh, often hot out of the oven - the best you will find in Southern Vermont. This is not to say that they can compete with NYC bagels (H&H)...but for Southern VT they will do just fine, thank you. We love the poppy seed and the Works bagels. They do not stay fresh for more than a day. I discovered it is best to freeze them individually, and defrost shortly before use. They hand pack cream cheese for you if you need it, and have bagel sandwiches...although it is criminal that they cut the sandwiches in half - please tell them not to! We basically only come here to take home bagels.

My hubby and I were shopping at the Manchester outlets and ate lunch here before driving back to New Jersey. The line was very long on a Sunday afternoon, but the service was prompt and good. I ordered a spinach wrap with egg and cheese. I like that they use local eggs or cheese. However, I was disappointed to see that they prepared the egg in a microwave-ish oven instead over the stove. I guess that's to cut back on time, but boo to that. My brunch was tasty and there's plenty of seating to enjoy your meal. Probably would be back as this is a great option for food in the outlet area.

Good food, friendly service, and centrally located. They make great bagel and lunch sandwiches. It's really on depot street so u can't miss it. Across the street from price chopper.

Impossibly greasy food that dripped through the paper before it was handed to me. Vegetables were fresh though, which is great, except that they were advertised as "roasted red peppers" which in my experience are cooked. I should have walked out as soon as I noticed that the "farm fresh eggs" were pre-beaten and ladled into a bowl to be microwaved solid. The attempted vibe is hip café. But the prep set up and quality is closer to Subway. Everything but the bread itself is microwaved. Coffee is bland, but inoffensive. Wouldn't recommend, but a better option than the nearby McDonald's.

This review is for the coffee only. This place has, hands down, the best coffee I have ever tasted. It was so good that I probably would have drunk it black, with nothing in it. I got the Hazelnut Iced Coffee and only had to add one sweetener and a touch of milk. It was so good.
