The owners are lovely and easy to work with. Michael always calls you back and is very responsive. Irene is warm and very caring. Rooms are super clean even from a critical person like me. Decorations are cute with nice sense as American country style. Location cannot be better for skiing, which the village shuttle bus stops, unless you stay along the slope. Only what can be improved is breakfast. If Inn is for "bed and breakfast", more enjoyable breakfast is desired. Especially for skiers who have to tolerate bad food at the ski restaurants on the mountain for lunch, good delicious breakfast is must. But overall we had a pleasant stay!

The perfect romantic getaway or indulgent retreat! My perfectly appointed room had a nice big whirlpool tub and a steam shower. Book well in advance to get the room of your choice and to book dinner reservations if you stay on the weekend. (Dinner is phenomenal! Be sure not to pass it up!) Plus an early booking affords the option to book a massage from a local massage therapist as well. The owners were incredibly gracious. I couldn't find one little thing that didn't meet or exceed my expectations. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Probably the best food in the area. Attention to detail and beautiful dining area make this an exceptional dining experience.

I love this place! Between the calm comfort and excellent service it's hard to pinpoint exactly why. A favorite part? The breakfast hamper that is delivered to your room with homemade baked goods, fresh fruit and your choice of drinks so you can linger over your breakfast in bed. They serve dinner on FRIDAY and SATURDAY nights only so be sure to make a reservation way ahead! Being that the couple who owns this establishment are both award winning (chef and baker!) it would be a shame to miss out on a meal.

The room where we stayed was beautiful. Nice big comfortable bed, beautifully furnished room, whirlpool tub. Why am I only giving it 2 stars? The breakfast that we had was mediocre at best. It was an egg and potato fried dish that was tasteless. Considering the price of the room, we expected much better.

We have stayed here five times now over the past few years ... every single time it has been just super. The inn is lovely, the room is great (we get the same room every single time), Michael and Irene and friendly and helpful. Love their dog Marlowe, we've watched her grow up. We aren't skiiers but cyclists and love the mountains in the summer. This is an ideal location to park, ride for ten hours in any direction, get home (it feels like home) and then head out to dinner at any number of terrific places, all within walking distance. Love the breakfasts here, too, they are tasty, beautifully prepared and served, and more than adequate. We have always found the servings to be generous and not crazy over the top (as if you are eating at Hometown Buffet). Totally recommend the Andrie Rose Inn. We travel quite a bit and when we find a place we like, we are happy to return. We will definitely return again and again.

The rooms are filled with antiques and the suites have a great fireplace. Very close to Okemo and there is a shuttle that picks up and drops off at the Inn and comes every 30 minutes or so. Michael and Irene are very nice and accommodating.

We splurged and paid about $75 extra for one of the luxury rooms. The special breakfast hamper never appeared our 2 days there. And I have to agree with other posters that the breakfast in the main inn was lacking. One slice of bread for french toast is not a hearty enough breakfast for skiers. And shouldn't you ask before serving a bacon-filled frittata to a guest? I had cold cereal that day. The luxury rooms have jetted tubs and showers in the rooms. I mean IN THE ROOM and not in the bathroom. To me, that is a little strange. Maybe the upgraded rooms give you more space, but in hindsight, I would skip it. Paying so much extra for a gas fireplace that stays on 25 minutes at a time is not worth it. Other snafus included a lukewarm shower one night and clanging heat. The location is nice if you can't afford staying on the mountain. And the shuttle is right there if you don't want to drive to the ski slope. You can walk into town where there are a few restaurants. But if I am paying over $200 a night to stay in VT, I expect more in accommodations.

To ski or not to ski???? But stay here! This is our third visit to Andrie Rose Inn and we plan on making a fourth. Michael and Irene are inn keepers extrodinaire! Marlowe their young chocolate lab is equally hospitable. They are low keyed, gracious, welcoming, and most helpful. Just ask. Tom skis and Andrie Rose is a fabulous location most convenient to Okemo Mountain. Whether you get there by shuttle bus (stops right in front of the Inn) or drive yourself up with plenty of parking with shuttle buses from the parking lots to the slope or a quick drive up with a convenient drop off or pickup (Tom's pleasure). The Inn gets you a discount on the daily lift pass just ask Michael. The inn has a heated room to store your skis and equipment right next to their parking area. Clever. I don't ski and I am never at loss for things to do. You can walk into town with pleasant shops, an art gallery and a lovely wine and cheese shop. Or you can take a drive to nearby towns of Woodstock, Quechee or Weston for shopping and antiquing. If you are an outlet shopper, which is not my calling, just drive to Manchester. Better yet relax with a jaccuzi soak or read a good book. Hang out at Jackson Gorge and sit by the fire or watch the skiers. Sunday night we bundled up for fireworks on the mountain. Fireworks on snow . . . what a treat. The inn is Vermont with oak furniture, antiques, floral wallpaper with floral and lace curtains, cozy chairs and couches, brass fixtures, blooming Christmas cactuses and a sunny porch. Not the way we decorate but I love it on Pleasant Street in Ludlow, Vt. The rooms are comfy with comfortable beds. Plenty of hooks for ski gear as well as clothes. Always a quiet night's sleep. The breakfasts are served in a lovely room with hot and cold drinks ready upon arrival along side a seemingly bottomless fresh fruit bowl. A hot meal is prepared fresh just for you when you arrive. Daily there is a special treat such as we enjoyed on our first morning a light and fluffy raisin bread french toast with maple syrup. Day 2 our choice of either a bacon/potato fritata or a savory sweet pepper/potato fritata with scrumptious toast and homemade apple butter. (We bought a jar of the apple butter to take home.) Day 3 was light and fluffy blueberry pancakes with maple syrup. Daily I observed them making simple scrambled eggs upon request especially for the kids. There is also cereal and oatmeal available for the choosing. The first year we stayed with them we didn't opt to have a weekend dinner at their inn restaurant. BIG mistake! We relaxed in our room as fabulous smells wafted up the stairs. Irene makes outstanding gourmet fare so we haven't missed a dinner at least one night of each stay since. It is comfortable, relaxing, romantic and most delicious. Can't say that I have ever enjoyed a salad more and my entree of pork shoulder melted in my mouth. The accompanying vegetables were perfection. Tom enjoyed his beef tenderloin with blue cheese. They have a fine and affordable wine list which is easy to pair with your meal. Irene besides being an outstanding chef is a reknown baker so leave room for dessert. Last night we didn't dine there as we had journeyed to Woodstock and Quichee (visit Simon Pearce when there) and returned after dinner. Tom settled in with the football play offs and I settled in by his side with a lovely glass of red sangiovese and a most delectable chocolate mouse torte with oreo crust topped with whipped cream and fudge which was too large not to share. Delicious. They were happy to serve us in the living room. We visit in the winter with his skiing in mind but it must be wonderful to stay at the Andrie Rose Inn anytime of year. The fall would be spectacular. Arrange a stay any time of year as you won't regret it.
