As far as bars go, this was definitely my favorite one, by far in terms of both food, entertainment and services. We came here after the Spartan Beast, hungry, tired, and ready to devour anything and everything. That being said, I can state that the food was some of the best bar foods I've ever had. We shared the BBQ spring rolls, the chicken nachos. There was ample amount of proteins with the nachos and the guac, sour cream and salsa in kind. The spring rolls were not overly greasy and actually tasted quite novel. My turkey burger, unfortuantely was not very good, but the onion rings that I paid just $1.50 extra was a great hit amongst friends and there were certainly a lot of it to share. My girlfriend's stuffed burger was quite delectable and despite my personal hesitancy on eating beef, I can't deny that it was quite amazing. Did I mention there were arcade games available for the young at heart? Food: 5 stars Price: 4 stars Ambiance: great outdoor seating and plenty of seats indoors Service: 4 stars

Sat on the deck on a nice night. For apps we got the wings and spring rolls. Both were very good. wings were big and meaty. Stuffed Cheeseburger was HUGE and my husband described it as the best burger he ever had. I had the steak and cheese which was loaded and delicious with a side of home made chips. My son had a grilled cheese (adult menu) that was very good on thick delicious bread. My other son had a kids burger which was also very good. Dessert was a brownie sundae that was as big as my son's head. Everything was excellent!

After trying several places for dinner only to find hour plus long wait times for a table for 2, we settled for Jax. The place was busy as one might expect for a Saturday night. Ordered 2 burgers, one if which was pretty rare, the other delicious. We had to wait a while for the food. Food overall was very good (if the burger was cooked it would have been outstanding). Having said that, the service was outstanding! The rare burger was taken care of without question. Kevin at the bar was truly exceptional. The service was so good it warranted the 5 stars despite the rare burger. May have put 6 stars if it was an option. They had all of the games on for March Madness and even accomodated for the Bruins as well. We will definitely go back! Highly recommended.

This place was very accommodating for a large group last minute. Menu is made up of apps, burgers, and sandwiches. There's arcade games and a punching game too!

We sat outside and there were a lot of mosquitoes. The food was excellent. We had a hummus appetizer and a steak tip appetizer. Both of them were terrific. Flat bread pizzas and fish tacos for dinner were also superb.

Went here last night with a group of friends. All of the staff was really friendly and the service was really good. I got the grilled cheese, which was made with brie, apples and carmelized onions. It was one of the best grilled cheeses I have ever eaten! There was also this cool loungey area with a fireplace that was cool to hang out in

Stopped by JAX on my weekend getaway to Killington yesterday. It was my first experience in Vermont and it was a great one! First and foremost the server/bartender who goes by the name of "KO" was the epitome of great customer service! He had a great sense of humor and was super friendly with a hint of sarcasm! The food is nothing to keep quiet about either. My table got the nachos, which were HUGE! I consider myself a nacho connoisseur, and these were Fantastic, highly I recommend the pulled pork option. For an entry I got the buffalo chicken wrap, it had the option of wrap or salad, I think I would have enjoyed the salad more, but it was good nonetheless. My boyfriend got the JAX burger and not only did it look delicious, but he loved it! As far as beverages go, I went with the zero gravity green mountain draft which was very tasty. It had a crisp and refreshing taste, I highly recommend it. JAX was great and I will definitely be returning!!

Enjoying a night out with the boys after a nice day on the slopes. Looking to watch the Syracuse duke game. The manager at the bar was horrible from the moment we got there. Nicely asked to put the game on and he not only said no but told me my team had no chance. Told me he had better things to do. For one of only a couple of sports bars in town, requesting the prime time ESPN game to be on the big screen didn't seem like a way out request. I was ready to drop tons of money and hang for the night. Learn how to run a bar. Don't go here! Ever heard of customer service?

We had an ok experience at JAX. We came in fairly early on a Saturday, it was quite busy but not overly so. We were seated right away, but it took a long time for the waiter to come and take our drink orders. When he did, several of the beers on the list were not available - it would have been helpful if he'd told us that in advance. The food took a while to come out, and it was average. The nachos we ordered were quite burned around the edges, although the non-burned bits were tasty. We all ordered burgers, and the waiter asked how we wanted them cooked. My husband and I ordered the exact same burger, except he ordered medium rare, and I ordered medium. When they came out, they put them down without saying which is which - so basically, they were cooked the same. I don't actually mind that, the burger was fine, but it annoys me that they would ask and then not do what we ordered. Why bother asking? Nothing here was bad, but it was a really mediocre experience overall. The atmosphere was a bit odd, and I think there are probably better places in the area.

Great food and great service. The lobster dinner was an amazing deal and the turkey dinner burger was huge and awesome!

Stopped in here for lunch and beers after finishing the Death Race this past weekend. Granted, it's off season (and was a Monday) in Killington, so we were the only patrons in the place. But the selection of microbrews on tap was great, and the food was pretty damn good for bar food. Love the atmosphere and interior. The games and couches and TVs made everything really cozy. I could see myself wanting to hang out here for hours on a winter night. But on a hot summer day, the deck was a brilliant place to hang out, drink some beers, and take in the Killington views.

There really is a laundromat downstairs. The place has amazing burgers, good selection of beer, yes there were some arcade machines and great for watching the games. Parking will be tough after 10.

I love Jax! Will definitely come back to party when I make it back up to VT. Awesome food, great beer selection, a fireplace, Ms. pacman. Friendly to visitors but with a solid local following. Live music. What more could you possibly ask for?

Staff was incredible from service to knowledge of menu. Decent local beer selection. Huge TV for games, stage for music, couches and pool tables. Food was great. Pulled pork nachos, fresh lobster chowder and killer brisket. If you like lobster they have a $12.99 special. Give Jax a try you will not be disappointed

I love coming to Jax with my husband. Leslie and Katie are happy to see us and they always make us smile. I love the lobster dinner and clam chowder . My husband loves the Dynamite burger. We also enjoy sharing the pulled pork nachos. The chef makes a variety of other wonderful food and soups.

My husband and son were happy with the $15 lobster dinner. I had the chicken pesto sandwich and it was also good. We were there off season and it was quiet, but I can see how it would be great at night, too.

Jax has a nice selection of micro brews on draft, stiff drinks, a pool table, air hockey, live music, big buck hunter and late-night food. The crowd really varies from weeknights to weekends. I prefer weeknights when a good crowd of local ski bums are holding it down verses Saturday nights when the crowd can get a little rowdy when Yankees/Red Sox fans go at it after being kicked out of the Pickle Barrel night club next door. Atmosphere: Pool table, low lighting, live music, air hockey, and buck hunter. Outside deck with tables and a view of the mountain for warmer days and nights in the spring/summer. Tip: Jax is the only bar in Killington, VT that serves food late night, year around, it's nothing special but it will hit the spot if you've been on the road for a few hours and nothing else is open.

This is a great place and the food is always good. I've been a number of times and they are always welcoming. It can a bit loud when they have an entertainer on the stage but what else would you expect. Good range of beers and you should try the gorgonzola crisps, they are excellent. Good burgers too.

Pleasant out on the terrace. They don't allow smoking while food is being served! Never found that before. Had a burger (no bun of course) and the caprese wrap. Good solid food. Played a game of pool after dinner.

Duane Carleton plays every Sunday night here, he's one of the best entertainers in the Killington area. Jax has a good selection of beers on tap; lots of local ones and some randoms. It's a great place to watch a game, since there are tons of tv's including a huge projection screen. It's a locals favorite, so that speaks for itself. i have never tried the food here, but if you go to a sports bar, expect sports bar food: fried whatever with mayo something on it. would have given it 5 stars, but it is affiliated with the Pickle Barrel.

Here's the thing... Jax is pretty sweet, but there are some crucial 'cons' to consider too. Pros: Bar + Laundromat = Awesome. Lots of cool video games to play. Big Screen TVs with DirecTV and Cable. Cons: Food is OKAY at best. Beer is WAY overpriced (read $4 PBR Cans!)

Went here twice over MLK weekend because we had such a great time the first night. The bartender, Kevin, is really friendly and gave us some great advice on places to dine, etc in the area. The beer selection is good, and there are a ton of TV's for sports. Highly recommend.

I can only comment on the bar experience (never had the food), but I came with a huge group of friends on a Friday night and had an amazing time. Good beer selection, efficient and friendly bar staff, fun games, chill atmosphere. Staff went WAY above and beyond to help me find a missing credit card (which I found).
