Perfect greasy spoon cafe experience. If you have your expectations set on an elevated dining experience, don't go...but if you want freshly cooked breakfast in a local place with friendly service...this is your place. Great bacon, egg, & cheese sandwich on fresh bread served hot with good coffee. Nice way to start a weekend!!

Newly redone diner with the same location but with a great new view of the creek and really good, hot breakfasts. My two egg, easy over breakfast was perfect with the best home fries ever and delicious, thick rye toast. My husband enjoyed his eggs also. This is a welcome upgrade to the restaurant we have been coming to in the summer for 40 years. It was a real greasy spoon with nice breakfasts but now it is a very clean diner with a view, ambience and REALLY good breakfasts. A nice upgrade for Hardwick. Worth our 3000 mile trip!

Stopped in this cozy diner for breakfast with my boyfriend and we loved it. We were staying in the area for the weekend and it was just what we needed. The waitress was super friendly and nice. Didn't catch her name but she said she rides horses, and had a cool watch. We both ordered eggs and pancakes. Super impressed wth the size of the pancakes. They are big! pretty scenic views of the river flowing below. We watched kayakers coming thru. I will return next time I am in the area

They just reopened yesterday under new management and new ownership. The place was completely gutted and now has a whole bay of windows facing the Lamoille River! The interior is now clean and cozy with an incredible view. I had the corned beef hash and it was homemade. Delicious. The staff was friendly and service excellent. Can't wait to make this my regular breakfast spot. Hardwick has needed a place like this for years!

The new owners did a great job renovating this classic space with river views and all of the food is homemade, high-quality, and surprisingly affordable. Don't miss breakfast (with real Vermont maple syrup) and the veggie burgers are easily the best in the state. A hidden gem!

A small diner type restaurant in the heart of downtown Hardwick. I have been in a several times this past year. It seemed to be not as good as before. They do offer local meat on the menu which is great. I love to sit at the counter here and talk with the local, watch the old lady cook and use her cast iron frying pan to cook home fries. Cool. I also spied an old fashioned potato press on the wall. They must make their own fresh french fries. FYI: Hardwick used to be a huge potato producer in New England. Many French Canadian immigrants came here to farm and seed potatoes. Kinda cool to know. Anyways, the diner doesn't have bad food, it's not the best, but good, fresh and filling. A spot to check out if your visiting from out of town.

The French toast with homemade raisin toast is epic, as are the French fries. A small diner menu but what they do they do very well. I will definitely go back to try more of their food.
