Outstanding... Enjoyed a "Chef's Tasting" paired with recommended flight of wine with my wife for our anniversary at the Chef's table. Chefs Kyle and Mike made us feel as if we were in our own kitchen while presenting course after course of the most amazing bites. They make a great team and it was a treat to watch how well they work together. Incredible discipline and professionalism while appearing to have a great time... Additionally, the service from David was perfect, mixing the right amount of humor and attention. The meal consisted of a fantastic lobster bisque, their incredible alternate take on a Caprese salad, perfectly cooked and elegantly presented halibut and wagyu ribeye, with intermediate courses of sorbet followed by an incredible strawberry and frozen yogurt dessert, all paired with exceptional wine selections capped by an amazing sauterne. It was everything I wanted for our evening, and lived up to very high expectations. Thanks Kyle and Mike! Make reservations early and enjoy.... C

Had dinner here with my husband last Friday when we were staying at the Essex for a long weekend. Holy. Cow. First off, I loved the atmosphere as soon as we walked in. Small, cozy, whimsically-decorated, not at all pretentious. You have the option of two tasting menus (3 or 6 courses), which are both incredibly reasonably priced. Before ordering, the executive chef visits your table to explain the menu, let you know what's new that evening, and answer any questions you might have. My husband and I did the three-course - all six dishes we ordered were totally delicious, but one from each set was a stand-out. For the appetizers we got the Hudson Valley foie gras and prime deckle steak pairing (husband) and the duck rillette (me). The duck was great, the foie/steak was sublime. For entrees he had the Berkshire pork chop (really really good), and I had the quail. Sheer deliciousness. And then for desserts I got something citrusy which was tasty and tart which I love, and he had the "beer and chocolate" which was so good we haven't stopped talking about it. I also appreciate that their wine list runs the gamut from $30 to $200 a bottle, with plenty of offerings available by the glass. Go eat there as soon as possible.

A little disappointed but perhaps I was expecting too much. I should have been more educated about foie gras I suppose. I just couldn't eat it. My trout came full of bones because the chef got busy and didn't de-bone it table side as promised. The pots de creme was a little difficult to eat because of the top layer - too much like caramel. The wait staff was very attentive though. Options to taste wines before deciding was appreciated.

Incredible experience. Junction could be the best restaurant in Vermont as far as I'm concerned. Normally I dont write yelp reviews, but this place is more than worthy. I ordered the Bone Marrow as an appetizer, Veal Tenderloin entree. Fiancee ordered Mussels for appetizer, and Black Cod for entree. Minds were blown. Favorite restaurants were reconsidered. Mixed drinks were excellent. Beer and wine selection was excellent. For what we got it was very reasonably priced. They do not skimp on the portions either. The menu changes, but you can expect interesting, fun, and yummy food. Expect to be multi-foodgasmic. Service was also great. The chef came by and explained the menu. Atmosphere was great - they did some creative decorating on the ceiling. Why the hell are you reading this - just go.
