Went here for lunch the other week. It was nice inside and the staff was very nice. Got a salad with added chicken and flight of 4 for $20. I would go back again. Hopefully they stay here longer than the last few places.

Tried this place for the first time February 2012. 3 adults & 2 kids cost $85 with tip. First the good: The place is very nice and the people are VERY friendly and accommodating. My friend had the pasta with Alfredo sauce and said it was very good. The kids' portion of chicken tenders was more than enough. Now the bad: - My wife and I wanted to split a pizza, but they "can't do halves on pizza toppings because the oven is 900 degrees and when the pizza is turned to check that it is cooked thoroughly, the toppings will all run into each other." - Why not just tell me you want to sell me two overpriced pizzas instead of one? - I ordered pepperoni pizza. When I got it, it was more like cheese bread with pepperoni. There was no indication of sauce. Pepperoni pizza is by nature greasy, but the sauce helps to masks the taste of the grease. All I could taste was bread, cheese and grease. It was VERY dry. - They offered to make me a new one, and when I declined, they gave me a $15 gift certificate since the bill had already been paid and I only ate 2 pieces. (as I mentioned - very accommodating) Also, I acknowledge that this could be a matter of opinion and dry pizza is not necessarily bad pizza to everyone. - My wife's pizza was also not very good. She ordered a veggie pizza, similar to what she orders regularly, but it just didn't taste very good. She drowned in with ranch because she was hungry. - The "homemade" bread served before dinner tasted like that from a bread machine, very dry and not very tasty. The olive oil dip was good. - My wife's wine tasted old and vinegary. In her opinion, it had been open too long to be served. - The total bill for 2 12-inch pizzas, 1 all-you-can-eat pasta meal, 1 kids' mac n' cheese, and 1 kids' chicken strips with fries (drinks 3 waters, 1 iced tea and 1 glass of wine) was $70!! Hopefully they'll look at their page here and take some criticism constructively. I mean, even Sally's Apizza in New Haven makes half & half pizzas!!

I came here a few weekends ago during a quick trip to Derby. I had the Vermont maple salad and my boyfriend had the Vermonter panini. Delicious! Both were so good, we even came back the next day for lunch again! Service was excellent, even during the height of lunch hour.

Ate here after a long day of snowboarding at Jay Peak with 3 of my friends. The only thing better than the awesome wings, perfect pizzas and tasty beers was the exceptional service. Prices were great and the meal was enjoyed by all. We had such a good time that we even felt the need to write a review to dispel what others had said.

We had a great thin-crust pizza, pot of steaming mussels and real-deal fish and chips on the patio -- along with a few pints of Switchback. The service was great!

Solid... but a bad night is a bad night. Pretty happy with the food - we had a bean burger (my wife) and a pasta dish with chicken and sausage (me). Both very good. There was live entertainment: a guy with a guitar, not too loud, good but not memorable. The decor seems like an upscale chain. Wait on a Friday night tolerable. But, only having visited once, it was clear the place was short-handed - everyone pitching in and running food to tables or clearing. Not usual, it seemed, but can't say we were as happy as if they were on top of their game. I'd most certainly go back on another visit. It seems clear the staff was working with what they had, and kept their cool, and the food was as hoped for.

I never expected to find pizza this good in this out of the way town, but it really was outstanding. Very friendly service, attentive and reasonable prices. There is not much to choose from in this area, but you can't go wrong here.

Was out last night and we stopped in to Pie and Pasta to have yet another excellent meal. I bumped it up to 5 stars because theanager himself was out and about and personally took care of one of the party members meal. I had an old fashion, a double, and it was mixed amazingly. The bartenders know what they're doing!

This place has definitely gone down hill since the last time we came here about a year ago. I feel like they changed chefs or changed management? Something definitely changed. The food is not the same. They even got rid of the best seller food items from their menu such as the truffle fries and the pork tenderloin medallion with risotto which was my fave. Even the staff was different. Maybe it was an off day since we came on a friday night around 9pm? Definitely not the same chef though. There was only 5 other tables but our waitress seemed stressed and overworked as she also manages the bar. She did not even tell us the specials and we had to check their facebook for them. When we asked about it, the waitress didnt even bother explaining. So, I just went with my next fave the tenderloin tips fettucine pasta. Ive had this dish before and it was good. This time, it was HORRIBLE! It does not taste like what Ive had before. Something tasted off, maybe rotten? Or maybe too much spinach? I dont know.. my husband had the gorilla burger which was mediocre but their waffle fries were very salty. I am just so disappointed. We were big fans of this place and spoke highly of them. Unfortunately, I dont think Im coming back

For a pizza and pasta place they serve an awesome burger! Went there on the way back from vacation with the family. The service was good and courteous. The children's menu covered the essentials and the regular menu was pretty comprehensive. I had a burger with portobello mushrooms and gouda cheese. It was cooked just right and the meat was of very high quality. My wife had a salmon salad and fish was fresh and cooked just right.

Just awesome! Near my hometown this place is great. Burgers are juicy and pizza crisp and cheesy and kids menu loved by all. Food just tastes better in Vermont and the price is right !

Totally Excellent! We started with the garlic truffle fries, the Badabing! shrimp (wow!), and the strawberry salad - absolutely delicious on all three appetizers. Pre-appetizer bread was soft, warm, and crusty - served with fantastic pesto. For dinner was a margarita pizza - with a fabulous crust - crispy, light, a bit of brick oven char on the edges - perfect! Our server was attentive & friendly, and the service was quick. The chef stopped by our table to see how we liked everything. We'll definitely be back! Note: This is a great place for families w/children: average to loud noise level (due to number of people), crayons & coloring/activity page, kids cups with lids, comfortable booths inside, or tables outside!

We eat here at least once a month and it has become the place our relatives want to go to when they visit. We had lunch on Wednesday and it was as good as it always is. The service is fast and friendly and the food is well prepared and flavored. I had the Montreal smoked meat panini special and it was excellent. Huge portions! My husband had the soup - broccoli, asparagus and cheese, which seemed like an odd combination, but tasted very good - and the mussels and pasta special. Again - large portions and the seasoning and spice were thoughtfully combined.

Had a fantastic experience here on my way to Jay Peak late last winter. The service, food and ambiance was great. I enjoyed the pizza special they had that day (wood fired, btw): mushroom and truffle oil and with fresh ricotta and arugula that was ah-mazing. I also had their Vermont Maple Salad (Mixed greens, candied pecans, fresh apple slices, dried cranberries, red onions and goat cheese, served with creamy maple vinaigrette) - it was really, really delicious, and had some great house wine. They also offer delicious doughy bread with olive oil and garlic when you are seated. If you are a local - high five on a great spot. If you are traveling through the area on your way to chanada or to hit some slopes - stop in, you won't be sorry!

Pie and Pasta is a great new local restaurant. Lagos has slipped a bit and this place is a nice option to have. They have great pastas especially the fettucine bolognese. The appetizers are also good. I would reccomend the calamari. It has a classy ambiance and a great bar for watching games.

This place is exactly what the NEK needs...a fun, lively place. Whether seated at the bar with friends or a table for dinner with the family you can't go wrong: everything on the menu is fantastic and the service is the best I have experienced in the area (and having grown up here that is saying something.) Wednesday night trivia is a blast. When you come, you must try the chicken wings and the eggplant napoleon!

Near the Canadien border in Derby, Vermont we discovered a most un Likely resturant. After a day of leaf peeping we were ready for a late lunch and were hoping for a nice resturant...finally about 4 miles from Newport VTwe saw this huge parking lot with Shaws supermarket sitting way back of. However to one side was what looked like a brand new resturant, Vermont Pie and Pasta company. Once inside you realize it is is a very sleek modern resturant the wait person were in attractive black uniforms, large bar and a huge open kitchen, in places. There were plenty of people there although it was an odd hour and the plated that went by looked very appetizing...the menu is extensive and to my husband's inquiry as to do you really make everything on the menu our waitperson Tolstoy yes and the dinner menu is different than what you have. We ordered Panninis and draft beer, I had turkey and avocado and my husband Montreal smoked meat. My sandwich was excellent, I was disappointed in his...perhaps the meat was really Montreal smoked meat, however it was served with mayo and cheese and not the way we are used to seeing pulled high on two skimpy pieces of bread with a little yellow mustard. I give this restaurant all but one star for not doing an authentic Montreal smoked meat.

Great place, amazing atmosphere and the turkey Panini was fantastic, if you're in the area and want to have a beer with a good meal go to this place.

Repulsive. Hair in my sandwich and a waiter that could care less. Didn't get taken off the bill and worse even was given the same sandwich back.

Best food in town! My faves are the garlic & black truffle fries. You can sub those in on any order or have them as an appetizer. Generous portions. The wild mushroom pizza is also a fave. The serve it with homemade cheese. The place also has a garden out back so the herbs & veggies are fresh! They also buy from local farmers. Try the seafood chowder & order some organic vodka made locally in Vermont.

Great place for a beer and pizza. Has a nice 'ski chalet' atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. There is a wide selection of draught beer,
