If this place was in a heavier populated area it would get two stars. But up here its probably the best thing within fifty miles. Steaks and seafood are good. Usually only one choice of veggie but nice salad bar. Often they are out of items like baked potatoes I found service good and not too slow. Dinner for four with a glass of wine and no desert is about 100 bucks before tip.

I have only tried a few things on the menu but they were all good. The draft beer selection is solid. Low key atmosphere and some nights have a younger crowd in the bar. The TVs make it a nice place to watch a game.

Open on a holiday, we were greeted promptly and everyone was having a good time. The food was on time and tasted great. I would suggest sharing, the portions are huge!

The food was good, the service was good, the atmosphere was nice. Took my mother-in-law for her 50th birthday dinner and she loved it. Definitely would go back if I was in the area again.

Great place to go if you are driving through or live in the area. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. Service was excellent and friendly. Food was amazing. We recommend their Daktel Wings. We love wings and those topped the cake. We asked for the recipe but got shut down. Don't blame them, LOL.. You will not be disappointed.

The new owners here have done a stellar job of turning this place around. With the upgrade to the bar, the addition of a pool table and a brick oven for pizza. The food is very good with a good selection. The drinks at the bar are super strong and the beer changes weekly.

I've eaten here on a few occasions, I've always over paid and I always get the same thing- diarrhea. I seriously wish I was kidding. Everyone else seems to like it though. I hear it's under new management, but I haven't had the strength to try it since then. There's nothing else for miles, so by default it's pretty busy every time I've been. There's always lots of noise coming from the bar area, so there must be something fun going on in there, but I've only been in the dining room and, of course, the bathroom.

Food and service here is definitely 2-stars. Took 15 minutes to get my beer and when we left, our half-empty plates were still on the table. I will note that the chef was happy to make a vegetarian dish even though there was none on the menu. Did it taste good though? Not really. While there's nothing glaringly wrong with Good Fellas, the food, service, and atmosphere was more like an old cafeteria than a restaurant with $17+ entrees.

Food is great. Service and beer selection are very good. Outside seating is a plus, too. Menu is slightly limited, but all four of us loved the dishes we ordered. Given the fact that it's in the middle of nowhere (my apologies to St. J), this is about as good of a place as you can expect. I'd definitely go there again the next time I'm in the area.

After learning that the place is under new management, we thought we'd check it out, and was pleasantly surprised (first-time diners at this place). Service was very good, as our waitress was quite attentive and friendly. Food was quite good as well, mostly 'comfort foods'--dad had the chicken wrap, mom had steak, kid had a burger and I just had wings and salad. Not sure how it was before, but it's a place that I will definitely consider now when looking for dining options.

I was in the area for business in St. Johnsbury. My hotel had no food or bar. I needed dinner and a beer. If you're not from around these parts, you have to understand that you're going to be in the middle of nowhere. This is as remote as I've ever seen and I've been all over Iowa, Wyoming, and Montana... That being said, I think this place is ok if you're in the mood for it. The burger was ok but the fries were soggy. They have a good selection of local beer which is always a plus in my mind. I tried long and hard to compare Good Fellas to something and finally it hit me -- this is your buddy's man cave! It's like eating in a garage, complete with mismatched furniture and a bar that you helped him carry in and set up. It is dark and musty. Trust me, this is a perfect description. If you're local then this is the place for you. The bartenders seemed to know everyone except me and a guy next to me who was also definitely just visiting. I made the mistake of wearing the clothes I had on from work which was business casual. I might as well have been dressed in a full tuxedo. I think some local women were making fun of me in the corner. If you're going make sure you're in the mood for a dive. Wear hunting gear and order something local. They have three tvs that are not well placed or up to date at all. By the way, there was a photo attached to this yelp page that has table cloths, candles, etc. Don't know where that one came from -- I didn't see any of that and neither will you. It should be removed.

Meh. The food is okay. The menu is unimaginative and most of the items have occupied the same menu space since my baby teeth were wiggly.

The food is fair at best. The burgers are frozen, seemingly the type you would get at a Club store. The steaks are good. Service is okay, at times it can be slow.

Nice restaurant in rural Vermont. I go on an annual camping trip in Danville, VT each year. Good Fellas has become our regular spot to stop in one night for a restaurant meal and an October Red Sox game. The restaurant is themed around mobster movies, which is just basically pictures on the walls. The food is good, they have great local mini-brews on tap, and the prices are reasonable. It's nice to have a restaurant local to Danville without having to drive into St Johnsbury.
