Came here for lunch. Good soup. Good sandwiches. Nothing out of this world. Will review again when I try their breakfast.

Wonderful breakfast! Lunch a dinner leave a bit to be desired, a decent sized menu but in my few visits my sandwiches and entrees have been kind of bland. Decent service, a good quick stop family restaurant.

I had the homemade baked mac and cheese. I am something of a mac and cheese connoisseur, and have had it in restaurants all over. Snaps' was the best I have had in a restaurant. Easily better than Lawry's Carvery and Morton's Steakhouse's mac and cheese, which are very good.

I really wanted to love Snaps and perhaps I will when I return for breakfast. If not for the very quick and kind servers and the EXCELLENT pumpkin pie, there would be no stars. We ordered the tilapia po boy. The roll and the tomatoes were quite nice and a tomato sandwich would have been a better idea. There was a fall chopped salad that was very good to read about but not good to eat. Tasteless bits of apple rock hard bits of bacon, etc. It was a 2 star meh meal with very GOOD dessert and good service. Mistakes were corrected cheerfully and fresh decaf brewed when requested. I've heard that Snap's breakfast is very good. Fingers crossed...

This place was our first stop on our trip to Bristol, Vt. For a appetizer we got a "nest". Shredded potatoes, cheddar cheese, bacon and sour cream. It was amazing, I could (and wish I had) have had that as my meal! My SO got Alfredo and I got a pineapple and ham cheeseburger, they didn't have a fancy name for my burger but they should have called it a "Hawaiian burger". His Alfredo left him a little disappointed; it was more eggy than cheesy. The garlic bread that came with it was yummy tho! I really wanted to like my burger - but it left me somewhat unsatisfied. Too little cheese, too much ham, not enough flavor. I brought it home, to not eat it and left me think maybe I'm just spoiled off Five guys. Next time no burgers. We enjoyed our waitress, she was pleasant and nice. The restaurant was clean and tidy. Next time, if I'm in the area I'll try a different dish!

Cozy place. Ok if you want something simple, like a burger. Want a better salad? Go to Cattail's in Brandon. I wish they'd change their menu around for better variety of food Ive gone here a few times and it just does NOT seem appetizing nor exciting enough to continue going.

Ate a late brunch at Snap's because Bristol Bakery stops serving breakfast food at noon... Should've just gone home. The service was friendly but slow and the food was just not good. I got the spinach and herb scramble which was lacking in flavor and visually not appealing. My side of bacon was extremely overcooked and largely inedible. The potatoes were flavorful but lacked the crispness that I desired. I'm not planning to go back... Really just go somewhere else

Top breakfast I have had in Vermont. If you are skiing at Sugarbush, make the excursion over to Bristol to go to this place. Everything is so fresh, and it is very affordable. I went there twice on my last trip and I wish I could go there three times. Recommended items that I had - meatloaf omelette, apple and bacon pancake, and the smoked salmon eggs Benedict.

Got a really great meal here. Kind of strange special - lasagna fettucini. But it worked. Wife had an excellent steak Marsala. The molten cake dessert was very good. Service was pretty good. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the things they were out of. Haddock and chicken should be pretty easy to acquire.

While on a escorted tour of Vermont and New Hampshire a couple of weeks ago we stopped in Bristol for a "lunch on your own." During a brief stop at the Rite-Aid we as asked the clerk "Which restaurant would you recommend for lunch?" She said "Snaps, about a block from here." When we, my Wife and her little service dog entered Snaps we were welcomed immediately and shown a booth out of the sun near the kitchen. The aroma overwhelmed me. And I was definitely ready to eat. We each chose the New England clam chowder and 1/2 sandwich with a glass of Chardonnay. What a fantastic meal. Everything was made to perfection and delicious. While we were waiting for our meal who should walk in, but "Elvis" my wife said "Take his picture" I answered "Better yet I'll ask him to pose with you." And he did. (See photo) So if you're ever in Bristol VT and want to have a great meal with excellent service, and the chance to meet "Elvis" in person... Go to Snaps. I highly recommend it.

Was traveling through this small town on the way back south and dropped by Snap's for some breakfast. The place is home-y and makes you feel right at home. Love how their decor includes old school telephones (photo) and random objects you can look at to keep the wandering mind things to latch onto (even if for a few seconds). The servers were busy, as we went during Sunday brunch, but they were still quick and friendly. We got the Corned Beef Hash breakfast and a Sausage, Carmelized Onion & Feta breakfast omelet option (this can be found under the customized omelet section). Both were very good, seasoned well and in generous portions. Prices were reasonable/fairly low. If I lived even remotely close, I'd definitely come here again!

Thanks to Vicky for taking great care of us during sugar season every year. Thanks for the brownie sundies and the special order off the menu Monte Christo sandwiches. You guys are the greatest!

I had the hot gobbler, open-faced turkey sandwich. Pretty good. Could be better as I didn't receive nearly the portion I got the last time. More bread & mediocre stuffing than meat. Still ok though. I feel the "cook" can't work outside a straight line as in he can only prepare food for one table at a time, in the same order as they come in. It took about 45 minutes to get our meal which I find WAY too long of a wait for just a few tables of mostly deuces. We'll try it again of course. The staff makes it nice to go in there.

I've been here many times over the years when it has been under different ownership, and I must say it has never been better. Three of us went there for breakfast and we were all happily surprised with the somewhat exotic selection and high quality meals. Far superior to average diners. The Calcutta eggs were curried scrambled eggs with sausage (lots of it), and included home fries, homemade pineapple chutney and honey oat toast. Yummy. The eggs with country ham and English muffin were also excellent, as was the "toad in a hole" (see picture). The ambiance is clean, warm and friendly in a diner style. This is a great little place and I highly recommend it.

Snaps used to be called something else in high school, and then it was more a standard dive cafe - the place where you could load up on hangover potatoes for three bucks. Now they have expanded their menu - veggie burgers, side salads, something for every palate. I ordered a Caesar salad and it had way too much dressing on it. I recommend healthy-ing up your order if your health is of concern (ie, I asked for my veggie burger on their homemade whole wheat bread - the way to go). I like their window booths looking out at the town, and the waitresses are super nice and attentive, talking to everyone like friends. Super friendly vibe, a bar where you can eat alone, and they still have their homemade pies.

Ate at Snap's for the first time and was very impressed. Nice specials, my meal (steak) was cooked perfectly, everything was obviously fresh. Very clean and homey. The piece of pie for dessert was Huge! And delicious. Just beware its a small town restaurant, so the waitress' know the customers and chit-chat a lot, slows service down a little. Everything else made up for it though.

I had a Jumponit for Snaps and took a beautiful drive down there from Burlington last weekend and was very pleased with the food, service, and decor. I would highly recommend Snaps as a destination if you're looking for a nice weekend drive to a lovely town for a great meal. Very nice!

We went with our two kids and thought the food was very good. We got the turkey dish, with mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy. It was obviously homemade and fresh. There is a kids menu and our kids ate most of their meals, which isn't normal! Good, fresh food!
