We love their pizza! Having been spoiled by NJ/NY pizza most of my life, I can say Cubbers isn't the same, but it's delicious. We really liked their fried chicken pizza (referred to by us as "slutty" food). The staff is super friendly. They're definitely busy around peak times and it can be tight inside. Pizza joint atmosphere and very laid back. Good work, Cubbers! Keep it up!

One of our fall back places when we want something relatively quick, great value and nice service. They always do a great job and can manage a rush as good as any place. I have never been disappointed with anything there.

Haven't tried their pizzas, YET. I will sometime soon. So far Ive just had some sandwich choices. I do like their COMBO options. Their tuna melts are outstanding, I give them that. Their corn chowder, pretty tasty, although bacon can use a little more 'cooking time'.

Very good fresh food. Large portions. A genuine atmosphere that you would be looking for in small town Vermont. We were visiting friends in the area. First day we had a great pizza with our favorite toppings. Went back the next day for soup (that made the trip worthwhile) and spinach salad (one of the best I have had). Thank you Cubbers.

I try to get to cubbers once a week. I travel from Cornwall to Bristol just for their great pizza. Their portions are generous as are the pizza toppings. The service is always friendly. In my opinion it's the best place in addison county.

It's probably a good thing that I don't live closer to this place, otherwise I'd be practically living on June Bug Sammies. Great place for families, awesome place for lunch. Best pizza I've had in VT. Clean bathrooms and very nice people working there too. Highly recommended.

When I moved to Vermont in 1978, the first place I experienced with my family was Cubbers Restaurant...Good Food for Hungry Bears. Since the late seventies, Cubbers went through several changes including owners and locations. Through these years, Cubbers had it's ups and downs. I am happy that this staple to Bristol continues on it's upswing. Cubbers newest owners, Drew & Ben have taken this simple pizza and sub shop to the next level with consistently fresh and flavorful combinations across all their menu items. Ben brings with him years of culinary experiences from Woody's Restaurant in Middlebury and Mary's Reataurant in Bristol. The food is generously portioned and modestly priced. The pizza is a traditional thin crust pizza, crispy and light. The spinach salad with artichoke hearts, hard boiled eggs, onions and bacon is perfectly dressed with balsamic vinegarette and served in three sizes. All salads are generously portioned and enough to share or eat as an entree. Cubbers in Bristol continues to satisfy folks with it's good food for hungry bears.

Whenever I make the trip up to northwestern or central Vermont, or even the Northeast Kingdom, I always seem to pass through the small town of Bristol. As it turns out, when I passed through Bristol today, and since there aren't many food choices within a 10-15 mile radius of Bristol, I decided to have lunch at one of the establishments in town. As a result, I decided to choose to dine at Cubbers, which I believe has been around since 1975. Cubbers seems to do most of their business in pizza, subs and sandwiches, but of course, there are some soups, salads and specials as well. I decided to order a Junebug chicken sandwich, which features a chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, cheese and mayo on a toasted roll. I also had a hamburger mac soup and washed it down with. I thought the food was tasty, and while I thought the service was a little slow, they did bring the food right to my table that I was waiting at.

I've been eating at Cubbers since I was a kid - and they are consistent. Their food has gone through very few changes since the 1970's - and this is a good thing! Their pizza has always been good (not the best I've ever had, but good for small town Vermont), their house dressing has always been delicious, their homemade soups and quiche are always really good, and they always have a good selection of different casseroles. Plus their subs are pretty good too. Cubbers knows what they are doing, and they do it well...

This place is awesome! Chicken quesadilla was probably best I've had anywhere. Fries are really good, pizza is fantastic. Really great tasting homemade style food for a good price. If we're ever back this way we'll be stopping here!

Cubbers I have to say is quite the restaurant. Every time I go in I have left with nothing but a smile on my face. The food there is always awesome, and the pizzas are top shelf. The french fries, and subs are also incredible. I highly recommend that anybody that is traveling around the area stops here to grab a bite to eat. You will not be disappointed. The restaurant it's self features nice wooden old style tables, as well as a big TV for those of you who like to catch the big game while you're eating lunch. In addition, Cubbers offers several different types of beer from which you can choose from. As far as pizza goes, this place cannot be beat around this area. In fact, I would go as far as to say that Cubbers is the best restaurant in all of Bristol. An absolute pleasure to walk in every single time I go. I highly recommend this place. Go and get some Cubs today! Try the Ragin' Cajin' sub if you're ready for some heat. Overall I would say there are too many choices to possibly figure out what you like by just going in once. Only 5/5 in Bristol. Do enjoy.

Cubbers has been around since I can remember. I think the pizza at Rockydale is a little better, but that may be a matter of taste. The service is fine, they are always busy, it is a decent place to get the family together. Their Veggie pizza comes with generous amounts of vegetables. The spinach salad has loads of soft bacon. I'm not a big bacon fan, but I imagine crisp would be better (or none at all). I like that you can come in and sit and hang out as long as you want - that has always been their vibe and I guess it always will be. Or carry out to the park across the street while the kids play. It's the cornerstone restaurant in Bristol, although Snaps is making their way too!

The microwave sits where you can see it from the dining area and it was in constant use the entire time we were there. No restaurant should have a microwave that gets used that much. They put the sandwiches in the pizza oven to get them toasty, which is great, but the meat and vegetables were soft and I'm pretty sure they heated them in the microwave before they put the sandwich in the oven. We should have gotten pizza because I doubt that gets microwaved. The salad should have been good but the greens had picked up some refrigerator flavor. They were crisp and fresh but they just had a funk to them. This meal should have been better. A toasty sandwich, a crisp salad and some decent beer will usually merit a good rating but the details were all off. If they chuck that microwave in the dumpster and start treating their produce better they could be worth a 4 star review , but they're too much of a mixed bag to merit anything more than 2.
