Dreamhouse Country Inn

Beautiful property. Very welcoming hosts. Gorgeous rooms. Delicious homemade breakfast made with their own fruits and maple syrup! Definitely would highly recommend.
During a recent trip to Bristol,we had a truly delightful stay with George and Sue at the Dreamhouse Country Inn. I grew up in Bristol and decided that it was about time to return to my "roots" and see what rural Vermont has to offer. After a quick look, I realized that there were really no motels in there area but apparently in the last few years a few B&Bs have sprung up. As we were traveling with a 4 year old, I wasn't sure if it work out or not, but Sue was more than accommodating and the stars aligned in our favor. I'm sure that since I am from the area, I am too easily charmed by the bucolic splendor, but The Dreamhouse County Inn really captures the mood of country living. We enjoyed fireflies in the twilight, the dark and quiet of a country evening, and a delicious pancake breakfast with fresh raspberries in the pancakes. After breakfast, George took us on a brief walk around the property where we had the chance to visit the raspberry patch and also pick a few fresh blueberries as well. I would strongly recommend a stay at this charming B&B to anyone who wants to spend some quality time away from the hectic city life or is looking for a friendly place to stay while on the road.

Awesome hoppy beers and the freshest buffalo wings EVER!!!
This place was recommended to us by our Airbnb host, Ellen. It was delicious. We drove in from nyc, and weren't expecting much. This place blew us away. It seems like a place that would be in the city, but without the large crowds and hiked up prices. The cheese corn risotto croquettes were mouthwatering. After the appetizer our entrees arrived shortly after. My burger was fresh with perfect thin cut french fries and a lovely tasting side salad. It's great that they use the local beef! My boyfriends meatloaf was so flavorful. You can taste the spicy chorizo in every bite with a perfectly whipped garlic mash. To top it off, they have a great selection of craft beer! Can't go wrong. Service was friendly and fast. A must-try in the town of Bristol.
Something here has changed and, for the better. The portions seemed double of what they used to be and the entree's seemed stepped up a notch as far as the presentation and the flavor. All four of us raved about our dinner. We'll certainly keep coming back! One of the folks we were dining with, was vacationing for a full month in the Northeast and stated it was the best meal of his vacation. Great job Bobcat!

We love their pizza! Having been spoiled by NJ/NY pizza most of my life, I can say Cubbers isn't the same, but it's delicious. We really liked their fried chicken pizza (referred to by us as "slutty" food). The staff is super friendly. They're definitely busy around peak times and it can be tight inside. Pizza joint atmosphere and very laid back. Good work, Cubbers! Keep it up!
One of our fall back places when we want something relatively quick, great value and nice service. They always do a great job and can manage a rush as good as any place. I have never been disappointed with anything there.
Haven't tried their pizzas, YET. I will sometime soon. So far Ive just had some sandwich choices. I do like their COMBO options. Their tuna melts are outstanding, I give them that. Their corn chowder, pretty tasty, although bacon can use a little more 'cooking time'.

Came here for lunch. Good soup. Good sandwiches. Nothing out of this world. Will review again when I try their breakfast.
Wonderful breakfast! Lunch a dinner leave a bit to be desired, a decent sized menu but in my few visits my sandwiches and entrees have been kind of bland. Decent service, a good quick stop family restaurant.
I had the homemade baked mac and cheese. I am something of a mac and cheese connoisseur, and have had it in restaurants all over. Snaps' was the best I have had in a restaurant. Easily better than Lawry's Carvery and Morton's Steakhouse's mac and cheese, which are very good.

they sell food here. breakfast and dessert too. you can see sugarbush on a clear day. the coffee is good and so are the sandwiches. they are not grouchy.
Pros: -Good food for less than $10 -Fantastic coffee -Outdoor seating -Homemade kombucha! Cons: -Some sandwiches seem a little small for the price, though not all -Service seemed very fast for some sandwiches, very slow for others Highly recommend the ginger kombucha and the Vietnamese tofu wrap
Stopped here for lunch and got their signature roast beef sandwich. It was hand carved roast beef which I appreciated and the roll was pretty good also. However, if you're going to go through the trouble of doing hand carved then your veggies should be high quality too. Iceberg lettuce and a slice of tomato half the size of the bun does not make a good sandwich! The coleslaw was sort of bland and the cabbage was cut along the grain....it felt like I was eating spaghetti, but it was coleslaw. It was hard to eat as raw cabbage is not as malleable as cooked pasta.

Village Creeme Stand

We love this little stand in Bristol! So cute with lots of home town charm. We love to stop and get burgers and fries. They do a great job of both especially the fries always hot and crispy! I love soft serve ice cream. This stand gives generous portions , so if you're ordering for small children get the baby size plenty big enough. I always order the small and can just about finish it. I do have to say the taste is just average however. I was hoping for a rich custard like taste and it was not that. Pretty much you average soft serve. Which is a shame especially when you see a Creeme Stand you're thinking awesome ice cream. Be careful parking. You do have to back out into traffic.
High five for the kids who are busy, hard working and earning money this summer. The ice cream itself was bland. I had the swirl, or "mixed" as they call it. What is this 1965? Anyway, I tasted no flavor. I ended up dumping most of it down the sink. The cone was stale. It's cash only. No ATM near by. You can go across the street to the gas station to buy and withdraw. I wasn't aware of any hard ice cream. But soft serve shouldn't be as expensive as it was. I mean, I'm not saying $7. But, $5 for ice milk + additives for a dairy state? C'mon. Go down to downtown Bristol and find a better lick.
Oh Village Creeme, what have you done? This used to be awesome, and now they jacked their prices and make the cones in a rush, all drippy and lopsided (not always but sometimes). The quality seems to have decreased, but part of this could be my own tastes refining. I think it's also because they are doing more - more flavors, more types of food. Maybe I'll give it another chance but honestly everyone is suggesting the new place down the road ...
