I am a huge chinese fan and I moved from Boston to Vermont.the first time I ate at Chans House I said to myself this is the best chinese food I have had ever ,If this place was In Boston they would be lined up around the block. The food is perfectly cooked wiyh the appetizers to such as the crab rangoon and beef teriyaki cooked to perfection,The serving size is huge and the restauarnt is clean. It is a well run family stalishment with three generations will and abe to help.It is my little treasure in a small town in Vermont Thank you Lee and Mike for giving me and my hungry family so many wonderful meals in your restaurant or perfectly packaged to take home .
I love Chinese food and have tried it all over the country, from Maine to San Francisco. No matter where I go, nothing compares to the Chinese food from Chan's House in Bradford, Vermont. You wouldn't expect such amazing food to come from a small town in Vermont, but every time I eat takeout food from Chan's I am convinced it is the best I've ever had. The key to Chan's House is the flavor, price, and quantity. The flavor of Chan's dishes is delectable: the lo mein noodles are soft while the vegetables are the perfect crunchiness, the crab rangoons are perfectly fried with a sweat and creamy crab filling, the tender chunks of deep fried chicken with a thick and sugary orange sauce coating over crisp broccoli, perfectly marinated cabbage and vegetable moo shi with a savory hoisin plum sauce wrapped up in warm flour pancakes. The amount of food you get for the price at Chan's House is what makes this Chinese food outstanding. For $5.95 you get 12 large crab rangoons, and for only $9.95 you get enough takeout orange chicken to last for three whole meals. This place is a hidden gem of Chinese food delight tucked away in a sleepy little Vermont town. If you're looking for delicious food at a price that can't be beat, check out Chan's House.
On a recent trip to the booming metropolis of Bradford to visit the Copeland Furniture factory we were treated to two excellent meals at Colatina. There were close to 40 people in our group both times. They handled the crowd masterfully. The timing was excellent. The food even better. Kudos to the entire staff . You couldn't have done it better. Thank you to everyone.
Used to go here 30 years ago regularly. It was always good back then. Delicious salads, pizzas and Italian meals. 30 years later, the pizza tastes exactly the same. The restaurant is bigger. So glad to see recipes carried on for years and years!
Fast delivery food was still like it just came out of oven when delivered awesome pizza
The prices are reasonable & the food is fine. Nothing special but it is a good choice to get some typical food. It seems like a place locals like to hangout. We had two salads, a wrap & shrimp garlic rice. Everyone was happy with their choice of food. Don't make an effort to get there but if you're in the area & hungry for a burger or wrap it's a place to stop.
Great service and unbelievably delicious food! Exceeded expectations and even had Fiddlehead IPA on draught.
My friend and I came in at 11:50 on a snowy winter Saturday, and we were in and out by 12:30 if we wanted to be. (But we stuck around for a bit, because we could.) No issues with service. They had a few specials so I had the lobster bisque and their special cake. The bisque was meh, it was creamy with a sherry touch but lacked significant chunks of lobster, just tiny shreds dotted throughout. The cake was delicious but a tad overpriced. I had a rather small appetite that morning so no issues there. I forget what my friend ordered, but it looked quite good. A few good beers on tap to go with the normal ones, which was also nice. I feel like this is another 3.5-star place. In this case, I'm rounding up because of the location. Not a whole lot else around Bradford; if this is where your hunger pangs kick in, Hungry Bear is probably your best bet.
Went there for my step brothers rehersal dinner. Amazing food. So accomidating. Let the groom invent his own dish to make it personal. Decorated beautiful. Amazing price! Service was excellent. Wish we had more places like this in Jersey. Also the view! Going back when I visit!
Great burgers here, cold beer, friendly service--what else could you want? Sit by the wood pellet stove.
In spite of the fact that it says closed on the front it is very much open. We are in the downstairs tavern for lunch. The upstairs tavern opens at 4 pm. I had the turkey cheeseburger and it was delicious. The slaw was great and I asked for a bit more. My wife had the Classic Caesar but had maple balsamic dressing. It was awesome. Wish we lived closer. The staff was very friendly and efficient
