Two words for you: maple creamees. If you like ice cream, and maple, you will NOT be disappointed. A generous helping of Vermont goodness. I'm originally from the area, and whenever I come back "home" to visit in the summer, I make it a point to stop here for this purpose alone.

Not a very good place for anything as such, because there are several options within 20 min drive. Dont get the meatloaf -- it looked like something a baby would throw up. Other than that we had spaghetti meatballs, chilli...none of them good. We were hungry so we ate it, but would not recommend. The servers were nice people.

We stopped here on our way home from Rochester, VT. I enjoyed a late breakfast of fresh squeezed orange juice, hot coffee, and a Hogwaller! What's a Hogwaller you say? A special consisting of fried egg, cheese, breakfast ham, bacon and sausage between two slices of french toast and smothered in real maple syrup. It was both huge and delicious. If we weren't about to hit the road for six hours I would have taken half to go! My boyfriend had a fried chicken sandwich and and french fries which were crispy and delicious! I enjoy a good diner and this place definitely fit the bill - good food, down home atmosphere, and friendly service. Our one complaint-the salad bar appeared as if it had been left out a week! However, if you're ordering up garden fare at a diner.... you're doing it wrong! We enjoyed a quality brunch!

The Creek House is the perfect little place to stop in when you're in the mood for some plain cooking. The menu is small and pretty much devoted to burgers, sandwiches and some country breakfast. We had the soup of the day, which was potato cheese. OMG, talk about savory! It was absolutely delicious and very rich. The soup was topped with crumbled bacon, which really took it over the top. Very friendly and professional service, and worth a stop if you're in the area.

Classic old time Diner! Yum! Perfect for that two-eggs-over-easy-home fries-bacon-Saturday-morning SATISFACTION in a down-to-earth friendly country restaurant kind of way!

We were traveling to Killington when we passed this place, spun around, & ordered breakfast there. Awesome fluffy pancakes, super yummy home fries, spicy Spanish omelette, & generous portions. Highly satisfying experience with good bang for the buck.

It's a diner for crying out loud! It shouldn't have the same number of stars, on average, as the Barnard Inn. It has a typical diner menu which it handles just fine. There were seafood specials the night we were there and they were plain, but OK. As one reviewer pointed out, the other customers are fun. Tomorrow is scheduled to be the end of the world as we know it, and the boys at the counter jokingly agreed that they would assemble at the Diner at 5:30 to await together the rapture at 6:00.

Best darn sausage gravy and biscuits I ever had! Homefries might be 3rd best ever, but still freaking delicious. My nephew said it was the best breakfast burrito he's ever had too. Yummo!

My family was making fun of me because I was so nervous going here without reading a yelp review! This is definitely a local hang out...it was fun listening to all of the locals talk about their hunting trips that morning. Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised by the food and the service! Charity (I think that was her name) was very sweet and gave us tourist tips! On to the food. Breakfast burrito and home fries were great. Pancakes were ok. A bit too dense for my liking but nothing that amazing VT maple syrup couldn't fix. Their English Muffin breakfast with tomato was also good! This home style food kept me full until dinner!

This place is like a quaint little country diner out of a Coen Brothers film only there's no crazy serial killer busting through the door just delicious food coming out of the kitchen. My eggs were perfectly easy (over) and the homefries were spiced just right. There was an interesting advertisement for a Friday night fish fry that I would be sure to check out if I was ever around this part of Vermont on a Friday night. Not likely but it's fun to think about. The crowd was also a very interesting mix and probably something that a skilled writer could use as a novel theme. There were the locals, the college students passing through on a roadtrip and the biker just drifting around the northeast. If you listen in closely you might be able to find out where the fish are biting or when the weather is supposed to change.

My wife and I stopped here on the way from Waterbury, VT to Rutland. This is not a trip you want to do either low on gas or very hungry as there isn't many places to meet either need on the journey. We saw a sign for the place and then thought we had missed it as we didn't see anything for quite a long time after the initial sign. Finally we found it and decided to stop. The staff was quite friendly and the place really nice. We had the fish sandwich special. It was obvious that the fish was fresh and had been breaded by them. This was not a store bought piece of fish that had been breaded in a factory somewhere. The fries that came with it were also very crispy and tasted great. The only thing my wife mentioned as not liking was the rather odd print, possibly Andrew Wyeth's Christina's World, in the Ladies Room. She found it rather depressing for a restaurant.

ordered corn beef hash with eggs presented with a medium rare burger with potatoes mixed in. two properly poached eggs but had mixed them in with the ground round. They really thought the dish was hash I ate the toast washed it down with weak coffee and ate down the road. The service was worse.

Great food, huge portions! After eating their Hungry Man breakfast, I was pretty much useless for the rest of the day, but it was a wonderful food coma to be in. We were in Burlington in the morning, on our way to Boston, and decided to hit the road and grab something quick. We expected 89 to at least have a McDonald's on the side. Nothing. Thank God the Garmin found this. It was the closet thing we had found off the highway that wasn't 10 miles away. This is a small restaurant, about 9 or 10 tables and counter service, with an order window outside where you can order ice cream treats. We sat down, and luckily we were still in time for breakfast. Everything looked tasty, but the Hungry Man had it all. Eggs, breakfast meats, home fries, 4 slices of homemade white toast, french toast or pancakes. To finish it all off, I ordered a Maple Syrup shake (gluttony) which was delicious! With the delicious food and extremely polite staff, I would definitely recommend this little diner to grub on some delicious breakfast. I didn't see anything delivered to a table that I would turn down.
