So happy that Rita's re-opened this year! The Italian Ices are made with real fruit and you can taste the difference - so delicious and refreshing. Their soft serve ice cream is very creamy and rich (actually, a little too rich for me - tastes great layered with the Italian ice, which is called gelati on their menu) . There are usually about 16 to 20 flavors of ice each day plus a few sugar free flavors.
A great local place for a treat! I prefer frozen custard to ice cream because it is so rich and creamy. And my 5-year-old who won't eat ice cream or frozen yogurt, loves the Italian Ice. My husband says the Blendinis are better than Blizzards. Great place for a sweet treat that the whole family can enjoy, and more reasonably priced than many ice cream shops I've been to.!
Ritas is open for 2015! Yay! Love the ice. So do my kids. We visit at least 2 times a week. None of the ice cream shops offer what Ritas can. The quality of the product is excellent and the service is always spectacular. Thanks Ritas! See you again soon.

Looks can be deceiving, especially on the walking mall. But I was happy when I walked out. I had heard about this place from neighbors, saying that their food was really good, though the place is small and the hours are very tight. Everybody suggested their omelettes or pancakes, but since I heard the omelettes are best, I decided to go with that. I ordered an orange juice, water, and the western omelette (comes with home fries and toast). While the orange juice was way too tangy, and extremely small, the omelette makes up for it. Extremely generous with the meat, peppers, and cheese, and the home fries were good too (a bit heavy on the salt and pepper, but definitely doable). Everything also was fresh and and tasted that way. Not to mention the Frank Sinatra and the Philadelphia sound that was playing helped create a northern feel (I'm from the northeast), to the restaurant. Lastly, my breakfast came out to $9, very good price for what I got, and if not for the orange juice, would've been only $6 or $7. I recommend stopping in early (their hours are very nice and geared to an early working crowd), and having a nice conversation with Bobby, the owner (he's a very nice man and does a nice job with conversation, he rivals Perry who has a similar place on Piccadilly St.). I hope to come back again. Thanks for a great breakfast Bobby!
Great service, Good Food! If you like traditional diner food this is a great place to try!
Tiny gem in downtown Winchester with friendly owner and staff. The owner cooks and the food is really good. Diner type menu fare. I enjoy Saturday breakfasts here. Don't everyone come at one time!

What a great find. My hub and I were there last night. The food was incredible and very fresh. The hub had the pork chop and I had the scallops, they were huge and perfectly done. Chop was moist and tasty. I asked for tarter sauce (item states that it comes with it). I thought, tater sauce for scallops, why ruin them, but then thought, hmm if this place is making their own stuff, lets check it out. It was perfect and really complemented the scallops without overpowering them. The sauce had a light flavor that added to them. I was quite pleased. The asparagus was done perfectly and was probably the best we have had (and I grow it in my garden). We asked for a side salad as one of our sides. It was small fresh and very tasty. I am gluten intolerant (causes tons of joint pain for me). I asked the waiter if they were good with that. He stated that almost everything is made in house so they know what is in what and very little gluten is used. When ever we go out to eat, my husband sits there and enjoys the bread plate without me. Sometimes the bread looks just incredible. I sit there and drool. Last night, the waiter brought me out a plate of roasted garlic (fresh out of the oven, now you are drooling right???) with olive tapanade (sp?) and rice crackers and one with bread for my husband. I was truly blown away. It was awesomely decadent. It was also unheard of to bring out a gluten free plate for someone. I just don't have the words to describe how good that made me feel. I am so used to being left out. Also glad to report, no joint pain from meal. :-) Go to the Butcher station to sit awhile and enjoy every bite and think about how good life truly is. It is one of those restaurants. Thanks for the awesome meal Butcher Station. Oh FYI it was a bit hard to find and we drove by it once.
This is exactly the kind of place I love to find. Thank you Yelp!! Had dinner there with BF. Not kid un-friendly, just pretty upscale prices for most kids. Great for a date. The signage could be better as it is pretty tucked away in a shopping plaza. Other than that I really had no complaints and only compliments. We both loved our food. The owner/manager came to our table, checked everything was to our satisfaction, and chatted with us. We even chatted with the small family next to us about their entrees. Reservations are a REALLY good idea, so small it fills up fast. Meats are specialized so definitely for omnivores. Quantities of each fresh meat varies based on local market so get there early if you want a certain entree. We would definitely go back and recommend to others. Not a chain restaurant experience !! Five stars for price vs. quality/service/atmosphere. Service - excellent Food quality - excellent Price - On the high end of moderate Atmosphere - small, intimate, clean, nice casual
I was expecting to be a bigger fan of the Butcher Station than I was. We will probably go back and check it out again, because good restaurants can never be judged by one visit. The food was decent, I like that its local, a bit more honest in the way of ingredients. That said, it wanst as good as I was expecting, and though the prices werent bad, for us there are just a number of other places in the area that have a better combination of food to price ratio. They DO have Abt 12 on tap, which is awesome, but Ive heard its pretty ridiculously expensive here.
