Good place for Vegans . as I am a vegan . the garlic noodles and fried rice was awesome . The coconut milk drink was very delicious and tasty !! And the signature desert of ice cream and banana fried rolls . is a must try.

-Food tastes great but is way too salty! -Service was average; I wish our glasses hadn't gone empty for so long because, did I mention, the food was so salty! Excuse me while I go eat a pound of bananas...

The best Chinese restaurant I have been to! This was our very first time in P.F. Changs. We ordered Sesame chicken and Lo Mein with beef, both of them were PERFECT. They also brought us chicken lettuce wrap on the house, which tasted VERRRRY GOOD! We were almost finished with our food when a gentleman ( probably the manager) brought each of us a 10$ gift card since it was our first experience in P. F. Changs! The place was nice, and the service and customer service was excellent. I will definitely come back.

Visited 9/13 around 8:15pm. I ordered 1 changes spicy chicken and had asked the waiter what type of meat comes in the combination lomein... the waiter was not sure but told me chicken and beef, I asked him if he could please just make sure there was no pork which he said he would. just went down hill from here. I received my meal, put some lomein in my plate from the dish it came in, took about 2 bites of it till I saw a piece of what looked like it was pork. Asked the waiter when he came back and he stated that he told the chef not to put the pork in there but he'll take the plate back (my plate not the dish the lomein came in) to the chef and show him. Waiter returned with who introduced himself as "one of the managers" who told me "it looks like beef and that it may just be cooked less than the other pieces" when i told him that it clearly not been and cut open a piece to show him he then proceeded to tell me that "we can make another one for you to go" I was surprised by this that he did not even offer to make another one and bring it out for me. I told him just to cancel the order and that I didn't want it, we just shared the 1 changes spicy chicken. about 5 minutes later waiter came by and tells me "my manager just yelled at the chef, that was pork" So basically manager was trying to convince me to eat the dish without checking and didn't even offer to make another dish to serve me in the restaurant. About another 5 minutes went by server came back and asked me if I was ready for the check.... didn't even offer dessert. Service at this restaurant (especially by the "manager") was horrible, used to enjoy coming here from time to time but I will not be back. if you have specific food allergies or preferences be careful when dining here.

This has been one of the worse meals that I have ever had. Wouldn't recommend this location

Great place for Vegetarians/Vegans. There's a section for vegetarian dishes, a lot of the veggie dishes are also Vegan. There is chicken or oyster in a lot of the regular dishes, so make sure to ask. But, the following dishes are made with a plant based sauce and no animal byproducts whatsoever. Vegans and Vegetarians: Starters: Spicy Green Beans Vegetarian Lettuce Wraps Entrees: Coconut Curry Vegetables Ma Pao Tofu Spicy Eggplant Vegetarian Fried Rice (Not Fried Rice Vegetable! Big difference in the stock, contains chicken stock and egg in the rice) Buddha's Feast (Stir fried or Steamed) Just Vegetarian starters: Spring Rolls (Wraps contain egg) Spicy Green Beans Vegetarian Lettuce Wraps Kale & Quinoa Dip (Chips contain egg and dip contains dairy) Crispy Green Beans (Batter contains egg) Vegetarian Deserts: Everything Vegan Deserts: None :( I'm also a server here and I enjoy eating here on my days off. If you're Vegan or Vegetarian, just ask for me as I know my way around the menu ;) I work 5 days a week, huge chance I'll be in. I'm Vegan myself and know what contains what and what doesn't have what. Hope this review helped my fellow Veggies!

Naaaa... Not my place. I am grateful of the Christmas gift card to come here but will not waste time. Too chaotic!!! Need some good training too for the workers to at least not to bang their guest's chair 3 times when they were rearranging tables to accommodate bigger party. I held my cool. Almost jump up and give them a good respect is.

Typical suburban PF Chang's deal. The lettuce wraps are good, the food in general is pretty good. I was pretty unimpressed to the see the restaurant nearly empty and the hostesses hassling a family of 9 with 3 little kids. They told the family they couldn't accommodate them for hours and yet...there were empty tables everywhere - including an empty/dirty table that had had 9 people just leave. We sat in the bar. Our waiter looked and acted like Guy Smiley. He was nice, but overbearing, which was way out of sync with our vibe. (A) We had just flown into Dulles from SF and (B) we were in town for a family emergency. Isn't rule #1 of all jobs still, "Know Your Audience?" With a 2-hour drive ahead of us, it was pretty obnoxious how he kept pushing alcohol on us.... We won't be back anyway but I wouldn't say it was a flying colors kind of meal.

So, I'm not normally a big "chain" fan, but I was really pleased on a recent dining experience at this PF Chang's. First off, I had made a reservation but was running a little late - gave them a call and they were happy to accommodate and I was seated promptly once I arrived. I appreciated that they seemed to be fairly organized with scheduling here (which is essential when you have a movie to catch after!). I've had the lettuce wraps before, but as usual, they were great. A fairly filling appetizer that is still healthy before your meal comes out. I ordered the coconut curry vegetables and tofu which was delicious and the serving was generous (I had enough leftovers for another meal!). I'll definitely come back here again. I keep craving the coconut curry!

Horrible brown rice. Horrible pad thai. Decent lettuce wrap. Very good mongolian beef. Decent kung pao scallops. I have much better memories of this place than the present reality. Smaller portions. Way too small. High prices. No more presentation of the custom made sauce. No sauce at all, we had to flag down our waiter to get sauce, and he brought sweet sauce, mustard?!, and plain chili paste. Frankly, there are just two reasons to go here at this point. 1, the atmosphere is very nice. 2, we did go there for my daughter's birthday, and they threw in free birthday cake and a candle for her at the end of the meal. Correction, they brought the largest slice of chocolate fudge cake I have ever seen in my life, enough that six of us couldn't finish it. That was pretty cool.

Have been to many PF changs before, and I used to love this place. Had a terrible experience at this location. The waitress took our order and returned after 5 mins to ask us to order another drink. When we placed order for appetizer, we waited for 15 mins before someone else other than the waitress came to tell us, only one of the appetizers was available. The other one 'got over'. We cancelled the other appetizer order and placed order for the main course only to know after 10 mins that the main course entree we had chosen was not available for that day (again??). This was again not conveyed by the waitress and a new person from the kitchen came to tell us this. We were very hungry when we got to the restaurant and we didn't get out food for a good 50 mins. Will think twice before I go to this location.

Not the PF Changs service I am used to at Fair Lakes and in other places. Server was terrible, seemed to get upset quickly. We bought dinner for 2 deal, couldn't have the soups and asked for substitute..she said no substitutes, I asked her to check with manager and she came back and said manager said no substitutes. I asked to speak with manager and he said, I told her you can have a salad...Why would she lie? We had issues getting dishes because most were chicken based and we wanted either seafood or veggie. Manager was nice though, that is probably the only reason I am giving a second star. I will probably not return to this location again, and possibly end my dealings with PF Changs altogether. There are plenty of other options out there that cater much better food and have servers who are actually attentive and friendly.

This location was a bit of a disappointment. We stopped in on the way to a local conference. We made our way to the bar area for some quick appetizers and a drink. We landed a couple of seats in an area that appeared to be for wheelchairs. The bartender said that no one ever used that section so he said we could sit there. Of course, that was obvious when we sat down to a sticky and wet counter area. Even after using my drink napkin to clean it, no one made an attempt to wipe it down. We ordered several dishes: crispy green beans, dumplings, calamari, ahi, egg rolls, and their signature margaritas. Unfortunately, the food was not up to PF Changs standards. Although the calamari was tasty, it appeared to have been sitting out for a while. The crispy green beans were heavily coated with batter and were so greasy. The pork dumplings also looked and tasted like they slapped those things on the microwave and served them up! Service was definitely lacking. Although we were asked if we wanted water, it never came until after we asked twice. I'm sure it was busy for a cold Sat night but usually sitting at the bar should bring some sort of urgency to a drink request. All in all, it fulfilled our dining needs but not sure if I would recommend this location.

We had a reservation for 7:30, and were seated at 7:50. We waited at least five minutes before even being greeted at our table, and another ten for drinks to arrive. Upon asking for a very minor change to a meal, we were told it was not possible (despite having ordered the same thing many times at numerous P. F. Chang's elsewhere). Ultimately, the waiter returned saying our request wasn't a problem. Appetizer was delivered room temperature. Main course was delivered room temperature. Dessert took an age to come. Plates were left on the table from appetizer and main course until after ordering dessert, at which point the manager picked them up. Service was slow, relatively poor, and inattentive, though friendly. The food was tasty, but slow and served at room temperature. Overall, a disappointing experience. Doubt I will be back.

My wife and I have been to this P.F. Chang's location numerous times and we are pretty satisfied every time we leave this place (Every now and then, there are hiccups, but nothing that stop's us from coming back). On this particular occasion my wife and I decided to come here on a Sunday afternoon (So of course the place wasn't packed). Upon arriving we were seated immediately and told our server would be with us shortly. Low and behold our server appeared within 5 to 10 minutes of being seated. He explained that P.F. Chang's was doing a seasonal menu so the menu would be different from what we may be accustomed too. Our server, was pretty good, he was also patient with us seeing as though we weren't sure what to order. One thing that we happened to notice while reviewing the menu was that the, "Double Pan Fried" noodles entree was no longer on the menu. This was a bit disappointing seeing as this is one of wife's favorite dishes at P.F. Chang's. However, our waiter did explain that although it isn't on the menu he could ring it up as something else but could still make that dish (However our experience informs us that when doing things like that the entree doesn't always turn out the way you expect it to) but my wife decided she wouldn't get that dish this time around. We ended up doing the P.F. Chang's For Two, which allows you to pick two cups of soups, one starter, two entrees, & one dessert (we ended up doing two desserts for an additional $1.95). For our starter we did the Chicken Lettuce Wraps (which we absolutely love every time we order it), for our soups we both got the Egg Drop Soup. For our entrees my wife got the Crispy Honey Chicken and I got the Mongolian Beef. And finally for our dessert my wife got the Mandarin Key Lime Sweet Treat and I got the Blueberry Cheesecake Sweet Treat. After we finished our meals we were pretty much satisfied with everything except my wife, because she wasn't to fond of her dessert which ended up not finishing. But other than that our meals were tasty and filling no real complaints. Nothing during this visit has altered our decision to come back again, so we will see you at a later time P.F. Chang's.

Just went in here for my fiancé birthday. She's a big fan of PF Changs and was really in the mood for their honey chicken. We waited until about 8 in the evening so it would be a little slower and we wouldn't have to wait. We walked through the door and were greeted by the hostess who walked us to our booth along the wall. Unfortunately this is where the pleasantries ended. We sat at the table for 15 minutes... After making eye contact with multiple waiters and restaurant personnel, not one person stopped and asked if we were being helped or if our order had even been taken. We decided to go next door to the Cheesecake Factory if obviously PF Changs didn't want our business. When we were walking out we handed the menus to the hostess and told her that nobody ever came to the table so we were just going to leave. Her response was ok have a great night then she turned around and kept talking to one of the other staff members. When we walked out and looked back they were both laughing. Very professional PF Changs... You've officially proved that you are nothing but over priced takeout.

Ugh- this is NOT the 'Tyson's' PF Chang's, so I don't expect 4 star service but the DTC location is not worth it. Monday night - bar is half full when we sit and bartender doesn't appear slammed. Jump to 20 minutes later, when we have only just ordered, still have no drinks and 2 guys sit next to us. They have drinks and their appetizer before my SOUP arrived. To add insult to injury, a manager delivers our app (cold) 15 minutes later, with a second (congealed) soup. Not awesome. Entrees appear 30 minutes later, also cold with no utensils. Suck.

  • K M.

I have eaten at other PF Changs before and liked it quite a bit. My experience at this location was particularly bad. The service was as bad as I've seen in a long time. Long delays, no plates for apps, mixed up orders and long waits and forgotten orders for drinks. Some of our food was up to this chain's standards but some, such as the "Buddha's Feast" might be better called Buddha's Least as it had very poor portions of the primary protein and some of the promised veggies.

  • Emily K.

I love PF Changs but this particular location leaves a lot to be desired. Not to be mean but their staff is kind of dumb. I got curb side pickup during a snow storm and there was no place to pull over or park so I pulled on the side of the building. I told the staff where I was, waited 15 minutes and no one comes....I had to call back and then the manager says "we were looking for you out front" even though i definitely explained that I was on the side of the building. And then the food was packaged crappy in the bag and fell out while I was driving. Dumb. No one ever apologized that I had to wait extra time or for my food being packaged poorly.

Took advantage of the 2 for $40 deal going on. 1 soup & classic main dish for each person + a shared dessert. Food was a bit salty for us but the steamed rice was pretty good (says this rice snob). ;p

Four stars, the food is consistently good and the drinks are made to please. They are the Starbucks of Chinese food. Nothing different from one location to the next. I did enjoy their heirloom tomatoes salad from their seasonal menu this time around. Great spin on a little farm to table trend at a not so trendy restaurant. I will alway eat at a PF changes when stranded in the burbs!

Yummy - not so salty like usual Chinese food.

Love PF Changs but for some reason the take out service here is terrible. When ordering lettuce wraps the LAST THREE TIMES they gave me 3 pieces of lettuce (hardly enough to do anything with) and continuously leave out the sauces. This time I specifically made it a point to request hot mustard (its my favorite sauce) and yet again they forgot it. Instead I got SEVEN little containers of red sauce and 14 packets of soy sauce. I don't get why it's so hard to understand hot mustard, chopticks, lettuce for the lettuce wraps. Might only dine inside this location from now on.

  • Alan M.

When you want Chinese food, but don't want to smell up your house by taking it home, go here! As far as the basics, the food is actually better than you average take-out place. Plus they offer some more authentic offerings for your advanced Chinese food eaters.

  • Mark R.

Everyone from hostess to server where new and no one seem very sure how or what to do. The food was very over salted. While looking interesting, the taste was not, just over cooked. Not going back

    (1)
  • Matt H.

Overpriced and salty Chinese food with terrible service. The food isn't bad and the ambiance is nice, but the food is just way too salty, and that's bad considering most Chinese food is high in sodium to begin with. The service was slow and we had to remind our server a couple of times about drink refills. I also didn't like that he took our appetizer order and walked away and then waited to take our main course order after the appetizers arrived. Just a bleh experience and really I like the small strip mall Chinese restaurants better. Their food doesn't taste too salty and they aren't as overpriced as this place is.

I've been to about 5 different PF Changs around the country. This location has the slowest, worst service out of all of them. The boyfriend and I showed up about 5:20pm for an early dinner. We were told the wait would be about 10 minutes. Okaaay...because the restaurant was half empty, so go figure. After about 15 minutes I went back up to the hostess to figure out what was going on. She said they were waiting on servers to arrive at 5:30...so we were in between shifts. Finally after about 20 minutes of waiting, we were seated at a small table in between 2 big families. Sigh. After picking out our grub, we wait...and wait...and wait. Probably another 10 minutes. I flagged a waiter down and asked if he was our guy (being that he was waiting on both the parties on each side of us). He wasn't, but went to go tell someone. Our waitress finally appeared and said no one told her we were seated there. Ok, lets move on and order our food. I ordered the ahi tuna salad and the boyfriend ordered the chicken lo mein. He liked his, but the ahi tuna salad was one of the worst I've ever had. Normally I get the Ma Po Tofu which I should have just stayed with. The salad had iceberg lettuce, a few leaves of spinach, chopped mangos, cilantro and radishes. The radishes were way too overpowering for the tuna, and the dressing was awful. Good thing I ordered the dressing on the side as it was so sickeningly sweet. It was a lemon vinaigrette, but tasted like a lemon merengue pie filling. We finished our food, beers and jetted... Next time, we'll just try Cheesecake Factory next door.

My wife and I were at the Dulles Town Center yesterday and decided to grab a bite to eat around 2pm. We haven't been to a PF Chang's in about 10 years so we came here. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived but it was still a 15-20 minute wait, I guess they were short some wait staff. We weren't in any particular rush so we waited, but maybe we should have taken it as a sign. Once we were seated our waitress came by and took our orders. We ended up ordering steamed pork dumplings and vegetable spring rolls for appetizers. For entrees I had the kung pao chicken and my wife had the ma po tofu. The appetizers were fine, though the spring rolls were a bit on the grassy side. When the entrees came out we realized why we hadn't set foot in a PF Chang's in so long- both entrees were salty and from what we remember a lot of their food is that way. Mine was still edible but my wife's was completely inedible. Plus, the tofu was not "crispy" as the menu description said, it was spongy and mushy. When we spoke to the waitress she said it was because of the tofu they use, but if that's the case why is it described as crispy? Anyway she took it back and had the kitchen make another one. When the new one came out they put the sauce on the side (still incredibly salty) and they basically burned the tofu in the deep fryer. I guess the kitchen was trying to teach us a lesson or something... After a while the manager came by to see how the tofu was while my wife was in the restroom. My wife had clearly barely touched it and I explained that she wasn't thrilled with it. She offered to take it off the bill and bring something else for her either for here or to go. I knew my wife wasn't going to be interested so I thanked her but told her we were fine.

I love the twist that PF Changs gives to Chinese food. The food can be pricey and sometimes the wait times can be excessive. Its probably best to call ahead if you're going to visit them during a Friday evening. I find their lunch menu more decently priced with adequate quality and quantity. Sometimes I feel their rice is undercooked as I don't expect them to reuse old rice, but then you never know these days. Love their Pepper Steak, moo shu pork and sesame chicken. The waiters do have a tendency to wander off and gone for prolonged periods while you wait for your drink to be refilled.

I went here after a musical concert, mostly because this was close by and I had never been here before. We walked in and Asked for a table of four (it was me, my mom, and my two sisters). Even though there was maybe three people seated, it took about 10-15 minutes to seat us. They sat us at a large, 7-person table, which was odd because there was a four-person table across from us, but I assumed it was reserved. The wait staff was very kind, but everything was much slower than it needed to be, even the water. The odd part was that there was, again, only about three people were there. When we finally got our food, it was pretty good, but not good enough for the long wait. My sister ordered the orange beef with brown rice, but she got a fried salmon with white rice instead. When we asked for a new one, the beef came back burnt, which I think was a sort of "Eff you" from the cook. But other than that, the staff was pleasant, the food was decent, but try another PF Changs in the future.

I love PF Changs; however, I'll probably never visit this location again. The customer service I received during my visit was terrible. It took a while for the waitress (Melissa) to even come by to introduce herself and offer us waters. When she did come by, it took a good 15-20 minutes for her bring the beverages back. She also insisted on telling us a story about a customer who ate something very spicy and her face turned red and was asking for water, which she stated "she couldn't help but laugh". So unprofessional and disappointing. If you want great customer service, drive a little farther to the one in Fairfax Corner.

I haven't been to a ton of chain Asian restaurants because I can't deal with the disappointment. Chinese, when done right, is so mind-blowingly delicious and easily some of my favorite food. P.F. Chang's does not make that category. This food is a step up from what you order from your local take-out joint but with much higher prices. The food is over-sauced and underseasoned. My table was sharing lettuce wraps and ran out of lettuce. More lettuce was not brought out until long after we had retired the dish. My Singapore street noodles were anticlimactic and I was bored of them within minutes. If you are in the Dulles Center area, opt for a different chain. Nice ambiance but nothing too extraordinary.

I have been to this location twice in the last 2 months and won't be going back. Compared to Tyson's Corner, you'd be better off going to Panda Express. Both times the food was lukewarm and the rice was stuck together and hard. Even the spring rolls and soup were not hot. The staff isn't all that great either. You have to repeatedly ask to have your drink refilled. This location needs a whole new staff including the kitchen.

    (2)
  • Christopher T.

We've been to this location twice and had a good experience both times. The service is the best part of this particular PF Chang's. The wait staff has been excellent both times we visited, especially when it came to accommodating our rambunctious toddler. The food is on par with other PF Chang's I've been to, which is to say, good, salty, and served murderously hot. If you haven't been, I suggest the Ma Po Tofu and the peach tea (which comes in its own teapot to your table - a nice touch. It's a little expensive for a chain restaurant - about $50 for two adults without alcohol - but I think it's worth it. Reservations are probably a good idea for busy times like Friday and Saturday night.

I use to love to go to P.F. Chang's in Tyson's Corner for lunch on a regular. Food was always perfect and the drinks were amazing. Unfortunately traffic has prevented that drive from Reston any more and I started to go to the PF Chang's at Dulles Town Center for dinner. Well the food there was awful to the point I just stopped going to PF Chang's. Friday we deicded to stop in to see if things had changed and to our surprise, the meal was amazing. The food was fresh, the service was amazing and we even got a special dish from management to try on the house. I will be back, I advise everyone to come back who had my experience and I hope this PF Chang's keep up the good work.

This review is ONLY for the P.F. Chang's in Sterling. I am a huge fan of the P.F. Chang's in both McLean and Fairfax, but this one hasn't gotten it right since their opening. Don't get me wrong... the food is great, but the waitstaff is horrible. I've been to the location in Sterling on 3 separate occasions and if your seated in the back of the restaurant especially, you can expect to 1) Not have the table cleaned when you get there; 2) Have wine spilled in your daughter's lap; 3) Bringing appetizers separately rather than at the same time or; 4) Having the wait staff forget to bring 2 items in your order. Such a shame that the Sterling location blemishes the good name of P.F. Chang's. Go a few miles further to Tyson's or Fairfax if you want the real (good) Chang's experience.

Sadly the quality of PF Chang's has deteriorated over the years. This PF Chang's in particular is actually worse than a lot of the other ones I've visited. The service was bad, tables and floor were dirty, and the food was worse than usual. I have not been back to any PF Chang's since visiting this one.

I've never really liked this place but it was open on NYE so I went right before closing. Out of courtesy for the hour, I ordered carry out. Big mistake! It took nearly a half an hour to get two simple appetizers and by the looks of it, it had just been sitting out for a while. After I got home, I discovered they forgot to give the wonton soup I ordered. Food wasn't great either. Like other dishes I've tried here in the past, the chicken lettuce wraps were way too salty and I've had much better elsewhere.

I think it sucks they didn't have the lunch special on Sunday... they do every other day. I had to pay about 5 more because of that... which is enough to annoy. Otherwise, the food was good and so was the service. I suggest

Full disclosure: I LOVE many types of Asian food - most especially Japanese & SE Asian cuisines - I have NEVER been impressed with this chain, at this or any other location. Pompous beyond cause, prices outstretching quality, and service expectations unmet. This copy of the very popular chain meets my previous experiences with this chain. I find the menu uncreative, the food lackluster, and overall way, way overpriced. I just deleted the rest of my drafted review as I realized how venomous I read - so less I over-emote, let me leave it with the above.

Food was great. The only issue that I had was the wait. Okay, so it was a Friday, but it was like 5 pm.....they said a 30 minute wait, which ended up being an hour. The management made up for it by giving me a free appetizer, which I used on some chicken wings. The ambiance was great, other than the servers dropping plates and trays every 10 minutes. Overall, great food, long wait, I'd go back.

I have to agree with some of the other reviewers---this location isn't up to par with other P.F. Chang's. The funny thing is that we couldn't quite put our finger on just what was amiss. Maybe it was the food runners who twice brought someone else's food to our table. Maybe it was the nice hostess who seemed a bit uncertain and hesitant when it came to seating us. Or maybe it was the very slow bar---yes, it was happy hour (3 p.m. to 6 p.m.) but the restaurant and bar weren't all that busy---so why did it take so long to get our drinks? We had finished our hot and sour soup---even got the vegetable dumplings and were about to dig in when the drinks showed up. Our waitress had apologized after putting in the drink orders saying it would be a while but we didn't expect it to take as long as it did. The food was comparable to other P.F. Chang's. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. She even managed to save us some money due to the fact that our dinner order was almost exactly like the pre-fixe dinner (we ordered a dish that wasn't on the pre-fixe menu). We liked the lay out of this P.F. Chang's better than the Tysons Galleria and the Fairfax location because at this P.F. Chang's you're not packed in like sardines. Still...the place has been open for a few months so all kinks should have long since been worked out. We shouldn't have had that feeling of it being a subpar P.F. Chang's. Yet...it wasn't up to speed...

PF Changs is PF Changs. Nothing wrong with the food here. It was standard, good-tasting PF Changs. The service we had here was soooo sloowww. We ordered Chicken Lettuce wraps, as we normally do. The wraps came out with two few lettuce leafs, as they always do. No problem, we told each other, we'll ask our waitress for more next time she comes by. No one came by until our entrees were dropped off. Our drinks sat empty for a while too. This was about 3pm in the afternoon. It was just annoying seeing how few people were in the restaurant at the time. I"ve had much better service at the PF Changs in Fairfax Corner.

We always love to come here for the Chicken Noodle Soup but this time they went above and beyond. First of all, Steven our waiter was extremely polite. Then my wife wrapped her retainer in a napkin which was cleaned off the table. The managers then went into the back to go through the trash until they found them.

Generic Asian Yum. Thats the best title i can give PF Chang's. There is plenty of seating at this location and service tends to be very prompt. I wish the food was a bit cheaper, but im really not complaining, i just like cheap Chinese food. Good place to go for lunch or dinner, you can have a good meal without being too formal.

PF Chang's came pretty close to earning 2 stars from me tonight, but our awesome waitress tipped the scales and earned them back a third star. This PF Chang's is very much like every other PF Chang's - busy, crowded, noisy, and long waits for tables. It's those reasons that we never go to the Cheesecake Factory - it's just not worth the wait. However, unlike the Cheesecake Factory, my wife pointed out that PF Chang's TAKES RESERVATIONS! Okay, we'll go. We had reservations for 6:30 p.m. First, the parking lot is abysmal. Now, that's not PF Chang's fault I know, but still. You pretty much need to drive a Sherman Tank and be prepared for combat to get a parking space within half a mile of the restaurant. We lucked out in our timing and got a spot. While I was standing behind the car waiting for my son to get out, I started hearing some dude in the next aisle over YELLING at the TOP of his lungs for a good 60 seconds straight using the F-bomb for every other word at someone who had taken a parking space he was waiting for. Nice. That just started the mood off oh-so-pleasantly. 'Tis the season? (Again, I acknowledge this wasn't PF Chang's fault - it's just an indication of how crowded the place is and how bad the parking is). So we walked in the door at 6:25 for our 6:30 reservation. Yyyyeah, they were just seating the people who had 6 p.m. reservations. Sure enough, we didn't get seated until 6:58. Why did I make reservations? We were crammed like sardines into the foyer while waiting for our table. The bar area and every square inch of the foyer were crammed with people waiting for tables who didn't want to wait in the Arctic polar bear butt cold outside. There were 6 adults and 3 children in our group, so they had three small tables pushed together for us (3 adults on one side, 1 adult on each end, 1 adult and 3 kids on the bench side). It was SO noisy in the restaurant that the adults seated at either end of the table couldn't talk to each other (need to practice their lip-reading skills). I was lucky to sit in the middle, so if I leaned toward one side or the other I could hear the conversation at that end of the table. The food was pretty darn good. I agree with a previous commenter that the hot & spicy soup wasn't very spicy. Other people at my table were commenting that their "spicy" dishes weren't spicy. However, I had the beef sichuan, and it had some pretty good kick to it. We all thought our food was delicious. They have a decent kids menu, with an activity sheet and crayons to give the kids something to do, so that was good. Although the food was good, it was not worth the wait or the crowds or the noise. As I mentioned above, the thing that pushed PF Chang's up to 3 stars for me was the service we received. Our waitress was superb - genuinely friendly, prompt, and professional. Unfortunately, due to the noise, she had to treat us as two tables - go to one end to explain the menu and answer questions and take orders, then go to the other end to do the same thing over again, but she took excellent care of us under the circumstances. Not only that, but she did so for the duration of our meal. I kept expecting to be disappointed by her abandoning or neglecting us from one course of the meal to the next, but she was firing on all cylinders and really impressed me with how she kept the quality of service up through every course. In a nutshell: - Crowded. - Noisy. - Long waits (even WITH reservations). - Good food. - Excellent service. The good and the bad sort of balance out to... 3 stars.

Came in pretty late the other night. Always impressed with the service. I never feel rushed, even when we came in an hour before they closed. Ordered the sesame chicken and our waiter even offered to have the kitchen make it spicier. My boyfriend got the Dali Chicken, the hottest chicken on the menu. My sesame chicken was perfect, not too saucy and the right amount of spice. My bf liked his Dali Chicken as well. Only thing I would improve here is adding a complimentary appetizer and lowering the prices! $13 for sesame chicken and some peppers/broccoli? The portion is not that big .

I had a good experience last night. I ordered the chicken lettuce wraps without mushrooms and chesnuts -- it was done pefectly. I started to order something else and couldn't eat another bite -- I was full. I tried a new wine, Valley of the Moon Pinot Blanc -- I can't recall the year. Jamie and the on duty manager were professional and nice. I'll come back to this location.

Something's up with this location of P. F. Chang coz it does not seem to be the same food and experience like the other locations. We had dinner at this location last night and ordered a bunch of stuff and ate family style. We ordered 2 portions of Chicken Lettuce wraps and one order of Veg lettuce wraps but they served that with just 4 lettuce slices! That quantity comes with one order. Our request for more lettuce went nowhere and so most of the guys had to just do with the dish sans lettuce :( Our misery did not end with the appetizers. Here is my review on the dishes that I had: Sweet and Sour Pork - pork was rather chewy and sauce was too sweet. Dan Dan Noodles - generally a winner - but today it was very sticky and dry. Lemon Scallops - The sauce was too watery and scallops were overcooked. Service was sub par at best. I will definitely stick with Arlington and Tysons Corner location when in the mood for P. F. Changs.

Love this place! We recently met friends here for lunch (6 adults and 9 kids!) and our waitress was great; quick, responsive, and friendly. The Kung Pao Chicken & Shrimp was delicious! My boys enjoyed the Honey Chicken and Lettuce Wraps. Great food, decent prices, and super service.

It's worst p f changs in the region. The food taste nowhere near to tysons or fairfax, the service was slow and food came like almost tomorrow. The taste was bad. I would rather travel 12 miles to fIrfax or tysons then have food here. O I remember, there no knives just forks on the table. Seriously disappointed. Pf changs management should do something before everyone runs away from here

The first time I came here it was overall, a good experience. I was back yesterday for a friend's birthday lunch....oh dear. The server was extremely slow to take our order, the food was mediocre at best. Not more I can say really. Shame.

If you find the P.F. Chang's in Tysons Galleria to be an overrated experience (much like all of Tysons Galleria), then drive west on route 7 to Sterling - not exactly a hop, skip and jump (let's call Route 7 the Hell Route from now on), but for those living in the Reston/Herndon/Sterling/Dulles Metroplex, this location is a lot easier to get to. And the atmosphere, at least on New Years Day when I visited, was low key. TV volume turned down all the way, quiet at the bar, good craft beer selection (on tap and in bottles), and the food was a notch above your neighborhood Chinese restaurant. The fact that this restaurant, like others around Dulles Town Mall, is not inside the mall is a huge plus. There seems to be a Euro feel to this place, similar a bit to Big Bowl. Yes, it's a chain but given the other options around this mall, P.F. Chang's is about as good as it gets.

I was here for Christmas Eve, Fa rah rah rah rah style. I have celiacs so eating at a hole in the wall wouldn't work well for me. We had a great server he was really funny and on top of it all off he gave us free Lettuce wraps (GF of course) then we shared 2 entree's both GF and had dessert. We had drinks, and since they have their own Ginger Beer I had them make me a Moscow Mule (its an alcoholic beverage that is AMAZING go google it) I had a fire place app on my phone so we ate our dinner by the fire :) Yeap we are nerds. And we had plenty of leftovers to have Chinese food on X-mas day too! Oh and we weren't the only white people there surprisingly .

I really wanted to like this place for Chinese dinner on occasion. It may look fancy as a restaurant outside in decorations like next-door Cheesecake Factory, and the service is nice and friendly. But the food is not true Chinese. If you go online and check out their nutrition menu, there are quite a lot of items that have over 3000 mg of sodium, more than you should have daily!!! The entire experience was just way too salty to be enjoyable. Don't be fooled by how big and grand it is, because when you start a meal and you dream you are in Shanghai (China and the world's largest city) enjoying an authentic taste of China, you will be disappointed. By how big and popular it is, I can't help but wish that I could go again later, but I still can't stop thinking about their sodium levels, unless I try to order smarter there next time...

This great experience stats and ends with the valet, excellent. Staff at front desk did seem a little swamped, but servers were fantastic. The vibe of this place id definitely upscale, because it is a chain restaurant, I didn't expect it to be that nice. However it is well decorated and had a modern atmosphere. Again the food was amazing, and the valet was again very polite and friendly. My new favorite Chinese restaurant .

I'm not sure I get this place. Of primacy is ... is... I admit it: wonton soup. I know, how trite. But that's what I like when I have Chinese food. When I tried to order it our server discouraged me because it was a large portion. Have you ever been to a restaurant where the servers discouraged your choice because the portion was too big? I know, weird, right? I didn't end up ordering the soup and got egg rolls instead. They were exceedingly greasy. Almost dripping. Not so good. My entree was the orange peel beef and it was a little too subtle. Not bad, just kind of ordinary. Then the service. Various servers brought us silverware, plates, food, then they took various silverware away and apologized. When I asked one of the multitude to just leave the pieces, they reluctantly did so, until another one did the same thing. Why must I have a confrontation with wait staff over extra utensils? So many interruptions, I just wanted to eat and talk to my wife. I know PF Chang's is supposed to be trendy and hip, but they have to jump over the minimum standards bar before hip and trendy count. So, the food was average. The service was frantic. The atmosphere was caffeinated. How was this better than the take out in the mini mall?

The manager came out to apologize for the cold food. Doesn't matter. A PF Changs doesn't serve two dishes in a row cold. It's just not acceptable.

PF Changs is actually one of my favorite places to eat. I love the food and can't imagine not going there about once a month. So obviously I was very happy to have one in Sterling as that is a bit more closer to my house. I've been to the Sterling location 3 times now. The food was ok but the service leaves much to be desired. Each time the service was slow - the last time we didn't even get our drinks until a good 20 min after being seated. And that was thanks to someone waiting on the table next to us. On another instance, we decided to sit at the bar because there wasn't a wait and stood next to a dirty booth for a good 15 min before the lady who sat us had to clean it off. Mind you the bartender who wasn't too busy was looking at us the entire time and didn't bother to clean it up. Given there are two others in the area (Tysons and FX), the Sterling location won't get much more of my business. I expect a certain level of service from PF Changs and the other two locations meet, if not exceed that. The Sterling location - not so much.

The service at PF Changs in Dulles stinks just like the microwaved food they serve. I went in for take out and was treated like the invisible man. The woman behind me in line blew up at the lazy bar staff just standing around exercising their pie holes and not helping with the take out station. Sadly, the food was cold and greasy and the service was so sloppy. They did give me a free black tote bag to carry the food in - not enough and never going back to this overrated clip joint.

The wait staff was great. This will be 1 of 2 compliments for the remainder of this review. Yeah, I know, it isn't real Asian food, but I figured why not, since it had just opened. Honestly, it was like they told some random white dude off the street, to come inside, grab an apron, and start cooking. I ended up getting the PF Changs "for two deal," which was around $40 for soup, appetizer, main course, and desert. For course one, I opted for the hot and sour soup. Total fail. There was nothing hot about it. In fact, it tasted like beef stew. Course two was the infamous lettuce wraps, which were good (this is compliment 2 of 2). Course three was the Dali chicken, dubbed "the spiciest meal on the PF menu." It was weak. It was not that spicy and tasted like it had been put through a smoker. It was horrible. I've lost the motivation to continue this review, but will leave you with one final thought. I felt the need to google the origins of this company. The "PF" in PF Changs stands for the founders, Paul Fleming Chang and Philip Chiang. Sorry Paulie and Phil of SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA, but you can't trick people into thinking you're Asian by relying on your last names. Well played on the PF though, you managed to fool most of America! Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go establish an authentic Burmese American restaurant in Leesburg.

Went there on November 17th and ordered dinner at the bar. I have been to P.F. Chang's many times though I usually sit in the dining room. I ordered a dirty martini, a cup of hot and sour soup, and the mahi mahi with cilantro rice. Overall, the food was good, as was the martini, and the two young ladies who were tending bar provided great service. The bar was full and most people were ordering dinner and asking about the menu, what's good, etc. The bartenders handled the questions in a friendly manner all while seamlessly taking care of the other patrons at the bar. My hot and sour soup didn't arrive until after my entrée, unfortunately. I would enjoyed it more had I eaten it beforehand. As it stood, it was more of a side item and I didn't finish the cup. The mahi mahi was moist and flavorful, as was the cilantro rice, and the portion size was correct. I think I got in and out in about 40 minutes.

I've been to plenty of P.F. Chang's and this has been the first one I've been to that has been disappointing. I think it is probably because it's a new location and everyone is still getting up to speed. I ordered the Beef al Sichuan and it wasn't very warm and the beef was a little chewy. One of fish the dishes ordered by someone I was with was really cold and tasted a bit off. Fortunately the waitress had the manager come by and they took the dish off our bill. The customer service and the fact that I know the place is new is why I'm giving them three stars. I was really tempted to give them two stars, but I've been to so many other really good P.F. Chang's. The Lettuce Wraps and Sichuan Asparagus were good as always and they have a good selection of appetizers and drinks on their happy hour menu if you go early enough. I had a Pear Mojito and it was very good.

Went there last night for the first time...Made an online reservation, but did have to wait 5 minutes for our table to get ready. As many reviews mentioned service there isn't the best but the food was worth the extra $$$. We had several servers come by our table with the silverware/plates/drinks and entrees. Guess that's p.F Chang's Style! The food is way tastier than your average Chinese take out. We made it for Happy Hour (4-6pm) the Mai Tai was delicious and had plenty of alcohol in it. We got some of the Spicy Wontons (yum very spicy!) and the Chicken Cabbage Rolls(light and flavorful). The best thing I would say was that our 3 children ate with very little fuss and actually cleared their plates, which is a rare sighting. The kid's menu-Fried Rice and Lo Mein were very very TASTY!!!! As entrees we got the Chang's Spicy Chicken w/Brown rice....Delicious and the Singapore Street Noodles...And for dessert we tried the 2 Mini Desserts-Great Wall of Chocolate and Carrot cake...Perfect ending to a perfect Friday night Dinner.WOuld go again with the kids! I give them "4 stars" only because their customer service could have been better!!!

This was my second time at a PF Chang's. In general, the food is good. Prices are a bit high for comparable Chinese food but that's to be expected at a chain restaurant. Our waiter was competent and polite. He suggested his favorite dishes and was attentive. However, I called several hours ahead to make reservations, but when I arrived, they had no record of our call. The host experience left something to be desired. Frustration plus average Chinese left a poor impression. Overall, PF Changs, wouldn't be my first choice if I was jonesing for chinese food.

I have not been to PF's for a few months. In the past I always thought the food and service was very good. what a disappointment tonight was. We had a table of 5. It took a while for our drinks to arrive. We started with soup. The server quickly placed a soup in front of each of us, and got it 100% wrong, even though we were trying to tell him who got what. We had to pass soup across the table to correct his error. The soup was only Luke warm. I got the Mongolian beef. it was good but not great as it has been in the past. We had some PF newbeys with us. There are sauces on the table, and the waiter was not able to tell us what was what. That was a big miss and took away with some of the experience we have had in the past. They only gave us 2 small bowls of rice for the entire table. This location has really gone down hill. I could have spent the $200+ somewhere else and had a much better meal. I think I will wait at least a year for the employees to turn over and maybe the restaurant will come back.

When this restaurant first opened it was fantasic. The mongolian beef was incredible, my wife loved her sweet and sour chicken and the kids absolutely loved the fried rice. We thought we had found our Chinese restaurant. Every month we made it back and regretfully every month we found both the service and food spiraling downhill. Apparently, others were of the same mindset as seating became easier and easier to get. Gone was the perfectly cooked mongolian beef and in it's stead something with the consistency of an earthworm. The kids started to complain about their unseasoned fried rice and we ended up usually having to get them something on the way home. The final straw came when our CEO took a client and his executive team out to this restaurant and two of them became violently ill shortly after getting back. He thought enough of it to call PF Chang's about it, who of course denied it could possibly be them. Go to P.F. Changs if you enjoy gambling and don't mind spending a good amount of money on a chance at a pretty decent meal. If you want consistency, there are plenty of other fairly good nearby Chinese restaurants.

Had an amazing time here. The food was good, the waiter was sincere and had a couple jokes. He even split the checks without us asking. We didn't have to wait long and it is not outrageously priced. Came here for lunch with coworkers and it was not overly crowded.

I was at this P.F. Chang's last night (my first visit) and the experience leaves much to be desired. It was around 8PM when my boyfriend and I walked in and the place was empty (which was great---no wait, no loud families). The atmosphere was nice, but the lighting was a little too dim in my opinion. The hostess greeted us and then took us to our table. We were informed about their special, "Chang's for Two", which included two soups, one appetizer, two entrées, and two of their signature mini-desserts for $39.95. A good deal, but we weren't too hungry. When our server, Oscar, showed up, he informed us about their special again and was very polite. I ended up ordering Pork Dumplings for an appetizer and Dali Chicken with steamed white rice for my meal. It took a while for the dumplings to arrive and when they did, I was a little disappointed that they were steamed. Our server had forgot to ask us whether or not we wanted steamed dumplings or pan-fried dumplings and I guess he ended up ordering us the steamed ones. They tasted great though and Oscar had mixed a spicy mustard soy sauce for our dumplings at the table so that made up for the minor mishap. If I thought the appetizer took a while to arrive, imagine the wait for the entrée! Oscar came back to check on us and wanted to make sure I wanted steamed white rice with my Dali Chicken instead of brown rice. I said yes and about five minutes later, the dish was brought out by a food runner WITH BROWN RICE. I politely informed the food runner that I had ordered white rice with the meal and received quite a rude reply. He came back five minutes later with the white rice and I thanked him and was ignored. The Dali Chicken dish was what caused me to rate this visit a mere two stars. The dish was extremely oily and the chicken was overcooked to the point that swallowing the chicken irritated your throat. It felt like the chicken had been sitting out for a long time and had dried up (maybe microwaved?). We ended up only eating the potatoes and leeks in the dish. Dessert was much better, thankfully. We ordered 3 mini-desserts (the mini-Great Wall, Tiramisu, and the chocolate mousse). It was delicious! And at $2.25 a piece, it was extremely affordable. The overall experience was ok. Our server was nice and polite and the appetizer and dessert were amazing. However, the main entrée was just plain disappointing. I would visit this place again, but I would be hesitant in ordering another poultry dish.

My wife and I went on a Sunday afternoon to avoid the typical lunch and dinner crowds. We found the atmosphere relaxing, and the staff very competent. Yes, the parking is bad since it is near the mall, and you often have to park far away. But that is what you would get for the Cheesecake Factory, or any other restaurant near Dulles Town Center. The food was very good. I got the Almond & Cashew Chicken Bowl, and my wife got the Lo Mein noodles with extra mushrooms. Both were good. The only complaint at the end was the dessert. The Banana Spring Rolls with coconut ice cream was not at all good. Thankfully, the server brought us some vanilla ice cream, which made it bearable. All in all, a good experience. We will definitely go back again.

I've always loved PF Changs, so I was excited when the new one at Dulles Town Center opened (it's only 10 mins away). Unfortunately though, I was not impressed with the service at this location at all. I got take out here a few weeks ago on a Friday and ordered the lemon pepper shrimp (that's it, nothing additional). I called in the order at 6:10 and was told twice that it would be ready at 6:40. So, I arrived at 6:40, waited in line for about 5 minutes, paid, and was then told "Your order will be out in a few minutes. You can wait around the corner." Well, the waiting area was packed so I just stood near the bar area.. I figured I'd only be waiting 2 mins or so, so that was okay. But no, I ended up having to wait until 7 (50 mins after I placed my order and 20 mins after I was told it would be ready). Meanwhile, other take out customers came and went and received their orders on time. I'm sure what happened with me was a mistake and the girl at the take out counter forgot to put my order in on time, but she did not apologize once for my long wait. When I checked with her on the status at 6:55, she simply said "I told them to hurry up, ok." I think that not only should I have received an apology, but I think I should have at least been offered a free appetizer or something.. I know that's what I would have offered to someone who waited 20 additional minutes for their take-out order. I may give this location one more chance (not at take out, though), but if I get poor service again, I'll just drive the 20 extra mins to either the Tysons or Fairfax location. One piece of good news-- the lemon pepper shrimp was very good. That's the reason for the 2 stars. If I could give 2 1/2 stars, I would.. but again, only for the good food. No stars for the service.

I liked the food - I had the P.F. Chang's house rice as take out but it was the service that made me give it 2 stars. I don't know if I am behind the times but I don't feel I should have to tip for take out. The lady was all smiles and plesant until she saw that I didn't tip and her attitude changed in a heart beat to almost, but not quite rude. That alone made me never want to go back and I won't.

I was surprised at the other reviews -- I had a great experience there. My husband and I went to use a gift certificate. We called ahead for a reservation, then waited about 10-15 minutes to be seated once we got there, and that is my only real criticism. The server was friendly and efficient, and the food was great and came out fast -- just what we've expected from our experiences at other PF Chang's. So, my only real complaint is that they should have seated us faster.

I went here for lunch with my mom and the restaurant was dead. When we walked in the guy standing behind the host desk (maybe a manager? he was wearing a suit) was very awkward. He was talking to one of the servers. We felt invisible and we didn't know whether we should seat ourselves or not because we were being ignored. He asked us if we wanted to sit at the bar and we said "no." We stood for 2 or 3 minutes until my mom said "should we just seat ourselves?" The guy replied with "no, I'll walk you." The whole experience was weird and made us want to leave. We had a very nice server and the food was good. But, the people there just gave out weird vibes. Everyone in there seemed to be annoyed or angry that they were working. They were not very friendly. Their response to thank you was "yep." So based on the awkwardness of the staff I would give them 2 stars. If service doesn't mean anything to you then the food is probably 3.5 stars- nothing you cant get at your local Asia Cafe though.

I dont eat chinese food as much as before due to my love for Thai and Vietnamese food, even though P F Changs is americanized its really good and the service is on point, happy hour specials are decent and during certain times of the year they have limited time offerings which is usually when I try to stop in, my last visit I tried food from the new year Lucky 8 menu and everything was awesome, if you`ve never been and drop in the lettuce wraps and dynamite shrimp are must trys!

You might wonder why after my last review I was back. Well, the Cheesecake Factory next door had lines of people waiting and this place didn't so I decided to give it another chance. I ordered the same cup of hot and sour soup so I could compare it to last time, and fortunately, this time, it was really good. Next, I selected oolong tea to go with calamari and sweet sauce, served on the side. The seafood was excellent, more than adequate for one person's meal, spread over dried rice noodles (tasteless, didn't eat them). I'm not yet wild about this place, but I will say I left satisfied. A meal is always more pleasant when you are served by an attentive waiter. Things could be improving here!

I really like PF Chang's and this location did not disappoint. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and nice, he was a bit chatty but it was in the name of efficiency. He did a good job, kept our drinks full and kept us informed of wait times so I was all for it. I never experiment when I come here, I always get the combo fried rice, I know predictable... But it's consistently good.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
