Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

The service was quick and very friendly. The guy who seemed to be managing the place was super cool. The man and I both had subs and shared a basket of fries, everything was good. The fries were extra good really, perfect. The only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is that their Ranch tasted like it came from a bottle. I think dressings made on sight are so much better.

GLUTEN FREE!! Awesome gluten free pasta - try the penne and bolognese. So tasty. Gluten free pizza crust too! The owners have gone gluten free and understand our frustrations. Check it out. Great local joint.

Take out Sat night Aug 8, 2015 at 9:30PM. Small 10" White Pizza and a Ham & Spinach Calzone. Both were tasty, good cheese(s) and dough cooked perfectly. The Calzone was the better of the two I thought, and the 2 small containers of Marinara Sauce was perfect. Even though they have a "wood fired oven" I could not smell or taste any wood smoke in the food. Our only complaint was the relatively high price.$26.16 which includes Salem City tax. Ouch.

They have a great gluten free menu, which was exciting to find just passing through a small town. Service was also excellent - the hostess and waitress were very kind. I had the GF penne alla rosa and side salad, my boyfriend had the Pit Special. Pasta was a good texture (I think it was corn).

Umm, decent food and friendly service, nice salad bar, although it needs tomato. The sandwiches were so so, diced sausage on the sausage and peppers, the steak sub was not the most flavorful either. I kept thinking, "why is this sandwich so blah?" And the tiny bag of chips thrown on the plate with the sandwich. ...no. Not good. Worst of all, the pizza prices are ridiculous. $25 for a pizza? This is Roanoke. So, overall, the food was fair but pricey. 7 bucks for a small sandwich, miniscule chips and 3.50 for a lunch side salad. I was generous with three stars, not going back.

I ate lunch here yesterday and had the veggie wrap. My husband had the sausage parm sub and we split the bruschetta. The bruschetta came out first. It had a very nice presentation and tasted delicious - we were off to a great start. When our sandwiches came out they were accompanied by individually packaged potato chips still in their single serving size bag. Now, the menu did not claim the chips would be homemade but coming out in the bag??? PLEASE! At least dump them on my plate for me so I don't KNOW you bought them at Sam's Club. Then, the waitress did not offer refills - had to flag her down and ask. Not a huge deal if the place was busy but after she brought our food she hung out by the bar with 2 other waitresses chatting. The restaurant was clean and the food was good overall. I probably won't go back, though. With pizza and pasta places on every corner, there was nothing about this restaurant that really blew me away.

Surprised this doesnt have a review yet. Lived in the Roanoke valley for six years and just discovered this gem. From the road looks less then appealing but the patio (heated in winter) is awesome and the inside is nice as well. Great brick oven pizza. Just what we were looking for in Roanoke. My personal fav' in Roanoke.

I had the gluten free pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and pepperoni. It was so good I couldn't believe it. I am very picky about pizza and this crust was perfect. Thin with just the right crunchiness on the edges. My husband had the lasagna and he said it was very good. They have a very nice gf menu. The staff was friendly and helpful. Very good experience.

Other stuff on menu looks fine but go here for Pizza. Best pizza in the valley by far.

The food is so-so at best, the noise level makes it difficult to carry on a conversation and the service was very slow.

We sat outside, which was actually quite warm. We started with garlic bread, which was okay. We had the Hawaiian pizza. The pineapple tasted like it had sat in the can for a little too long. The pizza itself had too much cheese and wasn't cooked long enough, for our liking at least. Good staff though.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
