Sausage onion pizza was delicious. Service was friendly and attentive.

Stopped in here for breakfast on a Friday morning. The coffee was bitter and not very good. I ordered the traditional eggs benedict served with fried potatoes. They were quite generous wit the Hollandaise sauce, which is good, but the eggs were ever so slightly undercooked. Not bad; not great...just ok.

Baker's Crust is a nice restaurant with a wide variety of items and food styles on their menu ranging from Jersey Grinders to Margarita Pizzas to delicious desserts. The layout of the restaurant isn't fantastic, more of a cafeteria-style open floor set up. However, the bread is all baked in-house, which gains major points in my book. The food is delicious and the service is pretty average, but fairly quick and pleasant. The prices are more than I would pay for a sandwich, but not so much that I get turned away if going with a group or a date.

This place has survived long enough to be considered lucky based on its location and relative lack of ambiance (it used to be a Shoney's). You enter to find the best part of the place staring at you in the face, the bakers. Fresh cookies, brownies, breads etc. all of good quality but if I were a bread connoisseur I would walk 30 feet to the Montana Bread company or a half a block to the bakery close by. This said, one is probably more concerned with the actual restaurant experience. Overall, it is average. Service has been all over the charts, from seasoned and expeditious, to untrained and slow. It all depends on when you go, like most restaurants. I will say the soups are fantastic. I usually get the California Reuben and it is always done properly but nothing I am going to write home about. The fries are the tiny shoestring kind that are instantly cold once they leave the grease, never understood that.

Pretty good place for sandwiches in Richmond. Not my favorite spot in Richmond, but they have good food. It is very similar to a locally owned Panera with a wait staff.

  • Eeic G.

Great calamari, not too much batter. The meal was good. It is Panera with beer. A dinner Panera Bread, because each sandwich and flatbread has the bread as the star. One idea is More pizza and keep making bread better and this place will be a must if that happens. It's great service and prices (would pay more if there was more pizza from a place called bakers crust) makes it a solid choice.

  • Carrie L.

Everything was good. Eggs as an add on to a meal a bit steep at more than 1.50/egg, I could get a dozen for just a little more but food was pretty good. It was a bit loud in there but tolerable.

  • Kristen H.

The food comes not so highly recommended, BUT desserts...oohhh, go to town, my friends because that's where the goods are in this place. So I say, skip the lunch and dinner and head straight to desserts, you shall not be disappointed

This is the most "hit-or-miss" place in Richmond. The food can be great, or the food can be okay. The pizza can be burnt and over-topped, or the pizza can be delicious. The salad can be normal-sized, or the salad can be gigantic. The service can be awful, or the service can be fantastic. You will get bread before your meal, or they will just forget about your bread. I have dined here about 10-15 times, so this would be an aggregate rating. I really want to like this place because it is somewhat healthy, and very convenient. Well, as much as I hate to say it, I saw Panera Bread is opening in the new building at Elwood and Nansemond Street. Minus beer, wine, and liquor service, they will give Baker's Crust a run for their money.

Great food! Try the fried green tomato. They were very busy but the service was still good. Value for your $ 4 stars.

People either hate it or love it here. Personally, I love it. My favorite dish is the Shrimp and Crab Rockefeller, which is a savory crepe that has an amazing white creamy sauce, asparagus, and bits of bacon sprinkled on top. My boyfriend is a big fan of the Asiago Chicken, which is 2 huge slabs of chicken with an orzo pasta and asparagus as well. The Noisette dessert crepe is amazing and reminds me of Ferraro Rocher chocolates. The Salmon Eggs Benedict for brunch (before 11:30AM) is heavenly. Besides these dishes, everything else we've ordered is standard. I do not suggest getting their sandwiches because they come with regular sandwich bread and is like something I could easily make at home. The coffees and pizzas are nothing special. Overall, it's in a good location, there is outdoor seating (but dogs are not allowed), usually enough parking, and the service is friendly but can be slow at times, especially during brunch on Sundays and dinnertime on the weekends.

Although this place has become a chain, it still has some good value to it. The food is good and the baked goods are yummy! I'd recommend this place if you want a one-up of a Panera Bread, but I'm a little upset that it's losing its value as a growing chain restaurant.

  • Tonya G.

The service sucked. They could care less that I mentioned I was new and heard good things about the place. And half of our food was cold. Atleast wafflehouse would have given me hot food.....bakers crust is overpriced and overrated.

I cannot cook, but I can make omelettes. Very well. So that makes me an omelette connoisseur, by default. The classic Spanish, the smoked Gouda with baby portobellos and spinach, the mozzarella with tomato and onion, and the super duper breakfast disaster with cheese and maple turkey sausage and all sorts of stuff thrown in there. With potatoes. And ketchup. It's really good, I promise. But I guess there IS one person who has even greater omelette skills than I. And that's whoever created the menu for Virginia's Baker's Crust. The West Coast Omelette with avocado and muenster cheese and tomatoes and mushrooms and spinach and pico de gallo. Try it. I know you're probably thinking, whatever, I can do it at home, and maybe you can. But I swear it was the freshest and fluffiest sunny Sunday morning brunch I've ever experienced. And guess what! I also happen to be a bread enthusiast. It tends to happen when you eat a lot of eggs. SO. I will tell you. Baker's Crust's gooey cinnamon bread is the way to go (although it's difficult and goes stale quickly). Use it for French Toast. OH I am sooo tempted to Amtrak-it down to Richmond just to bring some of that deliciousness back home to DC!

We went for lunch on a Sunday after going to the VMFA. Parking in the shopping center was difficult and there was a 20-minute wait for the table. Once we sat down and ordered, the food came out fairly quickly and was tasty. We all had sandwiches with either salad or soup. We had the apple pie for dessert, which was really good but had been unevenly microwaved (some of the parts were cold, others were warm). Our server seemed a little bit overwhelmed by how many tables she had, and only one toilet (of two) in the cramped women's bathroom was working. Although the food was good, we would probably choose to eat somewhere else in the future.

Very fresh bread. Amazing soups. Fantastic crepes. A great place to dine with a friend or with the whole family. A vital part of Carytown. Grab a dessert on the way out the door....

This place is located inside the Kroger's parking lot at the very end of Carytown and I almost missed it but, I'm glad I didn't. I had a half salad, half soup combo. I have to mention they put dressing on my salad when I ordered it without but they fixed it efficiently. The French Onion Soup is so so so good. They put fried onions on top that are delicious.I don't know what kind of cheese they use but they put lots of it on and it's baked in. Honestly, next time I go I would just get this soup. The only negative is they didn't give us any rolls during the wait but, maybe it's because I only got soup and salad.

I have been here a few times with my wife. We both love it. They have great coffee, salads, pizza, bread, desserts. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I have eaten here a few times and have yet to be disappointed. The french onion soup is really good if you want something light. However I always order the smoked tomato and penne with chicken. Sooo good. I tried to create a knockoff recipe of my own based on this but it isn't half as good. Although I really love the food, I think the prices are bit high, but hey, that's just me.

Bakers Crust was once hit or miss for quality and service but over the past year they've really kicked it up a notch. On my past six visits I have enjoyed delicious food and great service. Kudos to the management and staff for the improvements!

In a town of unreliable restaurants, with uneven services and flash-mobs everywhere, Baker's Crust is always fast and the food has never actually let me down. More importantly, though, the bread is fantastic. You'd probably need to go to weiman's or another tucked-away specialty bakery to get anything better in Richmond.

  • Quang N.

Pretty good crepes (sweet and savory) and deserts. The rest of the menu is solid, but nothing to write home about. The sandwiches and wraps are really on the panera level, but at slightly higher prices.

Great place for groups but doesn't have as much character found in most of Carytown and the fan.

Good sandwiches and yummy soups for lunch. Make sure you stick around for dessert too. The Ultimate Chocolate Lava Cake is out of this world. I really enjoy this place...but I always forget about it when I'm in Carytown since it's way back in the beginning when you enter from the west.

Got the Buckhead ribeye sandwich with grilled onions and added mushrooms. The ciabatta bread that it came with was not good at all. The bottom slice of bread was soggy with the steak juice and oils...which is understandable. The top slice of bread was stale and tough...which is disappointing given that the place is touted as a bakery/restaurant. The flavor of the steak was good, but it was overwhelmed by the melted cheese. The side of shoe string fries were good though. I also tried the New Yorker sandwich with pastrami. The pastrami was very good but there was an overwhelming amount of mustard. The bar chips that came with the New Yorker were good. They were covered in finely grated Parmesan cheese. We got the apple pie a la mode for dessert and I have to say that it was the best part of the meal. It's a deep dish apple pie and is stuffed with good apple pie/cinnamon filling. If you're going to come to this place, eat somewhere first and come here for dessert.

The bruschetta with goat cheese, fig spread, prosciutto and balsamic glaze was absolutely delicious. If I hadn't already ordered a meal, I would've just ordered another as my main course. The arugula on it - which I generally don't like - didn't detract at all from the flavor. The panini was very tasty - oven-roasted tomatoes, house-made mozzarella, basil pesto, and spinach on sourdough bread. The house made chips were fresh and a great addition. My friend had the shrimp & mango salad (grilled shrimp, mango, avocado, red onion, almonds, cranberry pear vinaigrette) said it was delicious. It really looked good and I would consider ordering it next time sans avocado. My son had - surprise! - mac and cheese. He ate almost all, so I guess it was good. He liked the fries as well. I had the noisette crepe for dessert - Crêpe filled with hazelnut chocolate, toasted almonds and coconut. Served with Edy's Vanilla Bean ice cream and whipped cream. The ice cream was overkill (which isn't to say that I didn't eat it!). My friend had the brownie sundae - hard to go wrong here. I'll definitely return on my next trip to Richmond or another city that has a Baker's Crust location.

"The Fly's" It pains me to write this review. I used to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Baker's Crust and probably stopped in here at least twice a month. Over the last year or two they have made a lot of changes, and not for the good. Not sure if they are under new management, or what but last few visits haven't been good. Servers are still great, but the food quality, menu options (they took 3 of my favorite things off the menu), and most importantly the cleanliness of the restaurant have really gone downhill. Today - I'm being attacked by flies, not one or two but LOTS of flies - several customers around my table complained. Food was okay, service was great, but the flies were worse than eating outside. Clean up, repair damaged furniture, call an exterminator or equip the tables with fly swatters, but do something about the mass amount of flies!

Baker's Crust is a great place to go to if you're in the mood for a chill but classy place to dine. I like the environment and the location in Carytown is nice! I've been here many times and each time has been good. This last time I went, I got the combo of Wine Country Salad and Chicken Avocado Panini. I love this salad! Has a great vinegrette with fruit and cheese with good greens. The panini was good, but not amazing. I wish they had more panini options! Overall awesome place to dine! Definitely go for brunch! Mimosas are ONLY $3!

My husband and I love this spot for a weekend dinner out. Service is always wonderful and the food is reliably good and fresh. Not to mention the warm cookie with ice cream dessert keeps this place at the top of our list!

I have eaten here at least three times and have had great experiences each time. For a work week lunch, allow a little extra time, because the place can be very busy and occasionally a little show. I have also eaten here in the evenings and for weekend lunches when I've had more time to truly enjoy the meal. I also really enjoy being seated on the patio as it can occasionally get noisy in the main dining area. I have ordered the caprese bruschetta ($6), Bianca wood fired pizza ($11.50), chicken & cheddar sandwich ($9.70), and numerous desserts including the wonderful crepes. I have yet to have a meal that I didn't find thoroughly delicious. The portions are generous and the prices are comparable to other restaurants in the area. The wonderful bread from the bakery is definitely a bonus, too. I plan to return to Baker's Crust and would and have recommended eating here to a friend.

I'm surprised I haven't eaten here before despite having been to Carytown multiple times! Baker's Crust is located in the plaza at the 195 end of Carytown where the Kroger is. The restaurant is a lot bigger on the inside than it might appear from the outside. During the Saturday lunch hours that I visited, the restaurant was very busy, and I had to wait about 15 minutes. There is a separate enclosed waiting area upfront. The restaurant itself is very warm and earthly inside, with a wood-burning pizza oven visible in front. It reminded me a bit of a Macaroni Grill restaurant or Olive Garden's interior, although a bit more sophisticated. In terms of service, I had one of the friendliest waitresses that I have ever experienced while dining out. Lauren S. was so approachable and down-to-earth, that I almost want to give this review 5 stars due to service alone! Apparently, there is brunch from 10AM-2PM on weekends, so I ordered a dish off the brunch menu. I ordered an Eggs Benedict Pizza, which was so creative/unique that I felt compelled to try it. It was delicious with lots of oozing egg yolk, and was much larger than I anticipated in size, so I had leftovers. I also ordered a bowl of the mushroom & brie soup, which was creamy and not bad. Prices overall were moderate, and the menu had a lot of different options. I had a great dining experience here, and would not hesitate to come back!

My bf and I came here for breakfast on our day off. Now I am a huge breakfast person, just call me Ron Swanson 2. Bakers crust has some really good variety of options, so they have something for everyone. I decided to get the mid-Atlantic omelet. The omelet had red peppers, onions and ham and it came with home fries and toast. The omelet was good, I wish the onions and peppers where a little bigger. One thing that kinda bothered me was that the toast wasn't warm when it came out, it's not a requirement just my pet peeve. My bf got their chicken and waffles. He loved it! To this day he still raves about them. I snuck a bite too and I kinda wish I got that. The waffle was fluffy and the chicken was moist and full of flavor. It was just awesome! I would definitely go back for breakfast. The service was good and fast. Plus if you go with a group they have many selections to choose from. Plus if you have never tried chicken and waffles get it!

Super yummy spot for any meal! I am a big fan of their brunch. A pretty casual spot right in Carytown. This time I had the waffle with Nutella and fresh strawberries on it, topped with whip cream and powdered sugar. It was a brunch special and certainly gave me a sugar high when I was done. They also had a special on mimosas for $3. The hash browns are great. They are more like breakfast potatoes. Bacon serving seemed small and came out in crumbled up pieces verses nice long strips. I have also had a burger here as well as dessert. The dessert case is simply to die for! Next time I think I want to try the chicken and waffles, was a little nervous as I have not done the chicken and waffles ANYWHERE before! I will let you all know what I think. STAY TUNED!

This review applies to their catered breakfast. Had a large group of friends in town for the Monument Ave 10k and was concerned about finding a restaurant that could handle us during the brunch rush afterwards. Instead of going somewhere I had it catered to a friends house from Baker's Crust. Called them up 2 days before and immediately got transferred to Alan. He was awesome! Immediately gave me good suggestions for the amount of people I had and recommended I save money on delivery by picking it up. Utensils and plates were provided with the breakfast! Now, onto the actual food. I got the following items Large Farmers casserole Large French Toast Large Patisserie Small fruit plate With ~16 people we hardly ate half of it, but it kept really well and we had an entire second meal out of it! The farmer's casserole was incredible with a great mix of all the ingredients (get it with everything). Pineapple Zucchini muffins are so good even though they sound weird. Try it out!

This location is better than the one in short pump. The brunch is excellent. The menu options has something for everyone. The food is prepared well and everything taste great. The price to portion is reasonable depending on what you get. The staff are friendly and professional. My only problem is that I would like to see more menu items that doesn't involve allergy foods such as diary or gluten. Overall, I must say, this place is as simple and good as it gets.

Food: 3.5 Service: 2 Walking into the Baker's Crust on Cary Street is like walking into a restaurant that should have been attached to a hotel in the 1970s. The interior is uninspiring and definitely dated. We were greeted warmly by a hostess who was funny and welcoming. Our waitress, however, was pretty lame. We waited a long time for her to come over and take our drink order. Waited even longer for some bread and for her to come back and take our dinner order. She was having a nice conversation behind the counter with another employee, though. Seriously, if you want to chit chat with another employee instead of taking care of your customers, can't you go in the back so the customers don't have to see it? Food was pretty tasty. I had a salad with goat cheese, shrimp, strawberries and apple. Everything tasted fresh. I forgot to ask them for the dressing on the side, so was relieved that when the salad arrived it wasn't overdressed. My son had a pizza, which was pretty delicious. Thin crust, just the right amount of cheese.

Baker's Crust catered my wedding and the whole experience was perfect. Alan was incredibly easy to work with, Leslie worked the event like a pro, and the guests raved about the food. Highly recommend.

I recently discovered the wonderfulness that is Baker's Crust. However a recent ordeal has dampened my enthusiasm. I called in an order for 2 half salads on Monday, April 13, 2015. A man who may have been a manager or not, I don't know told me "we don't do that". I told him I had ordered the same thing at this restaurant and at the Short Pump location and I was never told "we don't do that". He continued to tell me that I could get half a salad and half a sandwich but not 2 half salads. I said that isn't what the menu says, I felt that I should be able to order whatever is on the menu! He said I'll let you get it THIS time but you can't get it again. I said then you should change the menu. He said" it will be changed on the 7th!" I really enjoy the food at this restaurant. So much so, I got a friend who lives 30 miles away to come with me to eat there! But the way that man spoke to me was the worst customer service I have ever experienced IF and I do mean IF I ever return to the Baker's Crust, I hope that I do not encounter him and his nasty attitude and that i can get whatever is on the menu without an attitude.

I'm think I'm officially done with Baker's Crust. I called this morning to place an order for pick-up to take in to work with me. I asked for the half chicken grinder (as usual) and was informed that the only way to get a half sandwich is if you order it as a combo with soup or salad. I asked if that was a new policy since their menu clearly states that a half grinder is $7, whole grinder is $10. The hostess mumbled something about it being more expensive and that I'd just have to either order a combo or a whole sandwich. I agreed to order the whole sandwich (leftovers, right?) and specified that I wanted it VERY light on the mayo. When I opened it up at lunch - yep, drowning in mayonaise. I picked at one half and ended up tossing the rest...

Went there with my fam earlier today. It surely was not my decision to go here for breakfast, but I went along to get along. Surprisingly, upon arrival there was no wait to be seated. In my past visits, the wait around this time of day was usually around 30 minutes. Once seated, we were greeted by a server who appeared to be friendly and energetic until my family stated to ask him about possible changes to an order. His reply to each question was 'we can make anything happen as long as you are willing to pay for it" which was said in a playful way but was an inappropriate thing to say to paying customers. Fast forward to when the food arrived, when I ordered my meal, I also ordered a side of bacon which cost over $2. The bacon that I received was two strips that were overcooked. Half of the strip was burnt beyond recognition while the other half was the fatty part of the bacon. Another member of my party ordered a side of bacon and she encountered the same issues. We let the server know about our issue with the bacon and the server alerted the manager who came over to the table. The server told the manager about the bacon, he looked at it and walked away without saying one word to us. I asked for my bacon to be taken off my bill. From that point on, our server barely came to our table. He was observed asking other tables how their food and experience was but never asked my table. He was visible upset with my table... all over some overcooked bacon. Overall- In the past, I felt that there was nothing really special about the food at Bakers Crust, but the service was good enough to give the place a second try. This time, the service was bad enough for me to say that I have absolutely no interest in returning to Bakers crust. ONE STAR.

There are so many better experiences within close proximity. If I could give them 1.5 stars I would. Food was average at best (3 of our meals were average, 2- the portabello burger and tomato mozzarella panini, were so poor that they largely went uneaten). The service was nonexistent. I don't know if we did something accidentally to annoy our waitress, but she ignored us the entire time. We saw her to drop off the food and that was about it. We had to get up and walk to the counter once for salad dressing (which they forgot to put on 2 of our salads) and once for drink refills. We waited for 20 minutes for the check after our plates were cleared. We will not go back.

Stayed overnight in Richmond and found this place on a whim for brunch. The chicken and waffle 'wich with the sweet potato fries were great!!! The chicken was moist and tender. The waffles were light and fluffy. Also the breakfast pizza was really really good; the wood fired crust had just the right amount of char. Definitely hope to come back!

Stopped by to have a light meal and it was apparently closer to closing time than we intended. However, the server did not do the typical eye roll or even try to rush us in the least. She was very thorough and pleasant. The food was great and the portions huge for the price! Great service, great food... Carytown really has a knack for good places to eat!

I have been to this place for over 15 years and was recently blown away with the revamp of their menu. Everything on the menu sounds amazing. Our meals were outstanding. We had the special Carytown Pizza that was delicious and the pizza crust was perfect. And we had the chipotle gouda burger and fries that was the best burger I have had in ages. Their outdoor area is nicely done and feels like a hidden oasis. Wait staff is very attentive as always. Highly recommended this place to anyone and I can't wait to go back and check out more things on the menu.

We love coming here for a casual lunch or dinner. It's nothing fancy but the food is pretty good. I love their tavern chips loaded with cheese, bacon, and chives. The buttermilk dip is fantastic. Salads here are solid, as are the sandwiches. The pizzas are a relatively new addition (about a year ago) and are surprisingly good. Desserts are too sweet for me. Sort of busy on weekends. They have good deals throughout the week (half price wine, $5 pizzas, etc.) so check and see in advance Their breakfasts, to me, are their best meal of the day. Their waffles are the right sweetness and their breakfast potatoes are fantastic. Crispy and fried, they will make you want another order. Great place if you don't feel like cooking, but it probably won't blow you away.

The food here is amazing. My personal favorite is the chicken Asiago. The sauce is tasty and the bacon (for us bacon lovers) is always crispy how it should be. I highly recommend asking for Lisa to be your waitress. Very down to earth woman who will be honest about all questions you have concerning whatever it is you are thinking of ordering. Oh and $3 mimosas and bloody Mary's for brunch!

If you haven't ordered takeout from Baker's Crust lately, then you should probably get on that. Curbside to go is the best invention ever. Ok, maybe Baker's Crust didn't invent it, but I'm super stoked that they've jumped on this takeout bandwagon. I mean, really, who doesn't want to call ahead, pull up into a ready and waiting reserved spot, and receive the food brought right to their car window? To some, this may sound lazy, but to me, it's genius. Mostly because I often order from BC in the early am and would rather not have to shower/dry hair/dress in something other than yoga pants just to pick up some takeout breakfast. Being able to stay in my car means I can look as hot a mess as I want. Also, this parking lot can get pretty packed, so it also means not having to search for a spot on a busy weekend. I tested this out on Sunday while driving back up from Hampton Roads. I called about 10 minutes outside of downtown, and the timing ended up being perfect. The staff asked for the make and color of my car when I called, and they must have been watching out the window for me to pull up into one of the two reserved spots. The moment I pulled in, a server walked up to my car, traded food for credit card, then immediately came back with the receipt for me to sign. Super quick. Super easy. Totally painless. Yep, I'm officially sold.

I did used to enjoy coming here. Until I found out about the infestation of rats, yes rats! Not only was there a dead one behind the bar that I saw the manager bare hand, pick up, and then continue to work in the kitchen with no gloves. The management is terrible and the servers are being used as slaves. DO NOT EAT HERE! Unless you want diarrhea and osteo-plasmosis from rat droppings.

My mom and I came down to Richmond to visit my sister for labor day weekend. We were both excited because my sister had a knack of picking good places to eat, and for Sunday brunch, she recommended Baker's Crust. Our tea and coffee were served in these unique big mugs that made us want to buy a set (6 for about $40). We all immediately fell in love with our dishes. My sister had ordered the Mediterranean omelet which she claimed to be "damn good." My mom went with the West Coast omelet and was pleasantly surprised with its flavorful taste. I went with the Caprese Benedict that was probably the best out of the three. So if you're walking around Cary Town, definitely stop by Baker's Crust for a feel fancy brunch!

I don't hate this place, but I don't love it. I've been here many times for brunch mostly because my friends like this place but for me it's really hit or miss. The food isn't consistent really, it's either really good or really bad. My last visit was the first time I actually ate there for dinner. This was during their $5 pizza and $3 selected craft beer night. For one of the beers they sell (including some in cans) they don't offer a glass, even when I asked for a glass the waitress apologized telling me they were low. This was an odd statement because the place was barely half full. My two friends and I placed our order for our zahs. I got the pepperoni and my friends also got a pepperoni and the bianca. Their pizzas turned out fine, mine however was completely black, on the top crust and full black under the pizza. It was not a problem getting this taken back and refunded but in all honesty this place just seems to disappoint more than deliver. I want to like this place but in general it's over priced for inconsistent food and weak attempt to include beer in their portfolio with really no thought in having glassware especially when they have beer in cans. The waitress was wonderful at least, she not did not charge me for the pizza and even bought me a beer which was nice, but unless my friends want to go here I wont be coming back.

Bruschetta appetizer was pretty good except the food wasn't warm enough.. Had pomodoro pasta and lunch special with half sandwich and half salad. Foods were nothing special. It turned out to be a bad experience for me when they threw away my to-go box that had almost entire pasta in it. I purposelly saved pasta for later but they couldn't wait while we went to go get brownies to go at the front area.m I was little mad so asked hostess but they only apologized that they threw it away. When this has happened me before, most restaurants keep the box for little bit aside..it's not hard..

A 3.5. The reviews seemed mixed but my friend and I's experience was pretty solid. They did bring complementary bread which was ok, not super fresh. Waitress was nice and checked often. We both got pizzas which seemed like a safe bet. The fennel sausage with red onions was really good, reminded me in some of the flavors in a Pizza Tonight pizza (big complement). The Popeye pizza was a white pizza with a lot of spinach, was good but liked the sausage one better. Each pizza can be finished by a very big eater or enough for leftovers. There was a coupon which made the price even better. Location is good in Carytown (next to Kroger and Starbucks) and clean inside but nothing too unique.

What a wonderful welcome to our visit to Richmond. Everything was great food, atmosphere, service and the price was very reasonable. Lisa our server was fantastic. To top it off free wi-fi. Worth the trip.

Went for lunch today, and all four of us in our party had their signature tomato-cheese soup as a starter. The soup was piping hot, seasoned perfectly and the side of bread was fresh and crusty. My Jersey Grinder was nice and warm, which contrasted with the crisp lettuce and chilled tomato. One of the best examples of this sandwich I've eaten. The table shared s strawberry crepe for dessert, which was light and sweet, a perfect ending. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, a perfect meal. Brave, Baker's Crust!

Baker's Crust feels like an upscale Panera to me and offers a wide variety of dishes. ---Breakfast/Brunch--- Most of the dishes are served with a hefty serving of fried potatoes. The omlettes are decent and they have many to choose from-- the Greek, Medierranian, and Chesapeake (has jumbo lump crab) are some of the ones that I have tried. I personally think that the eggs Benedict are the best items on their breakfast menu. The hollandaise sauce is rich, tangy, and does not overwhelm the other flavors of the dish. Try their jalapeno cheddar bread with your breakfast---it has plenty of jalapenos to perk you up and is good alone with some butter or to be used to sop up any egg-y goodness. When ordering the orange juice, always get the large! The small is a sad little shot size glass of juice. ---Lunch/Dinner--- Their menu is a hit or a miss so once you find what you like--- stick to it! I haven't liked any of the sandwiches I have tried here-- they just aren't worth it. The quality of their pizzas is inconsistent and they can come out burnt, but when they get the crust right, they are great. I personally like the fennel sausage pizza the best. I also like to get the shrimp and crab linguine-- they give you a good amount of food and there is a decent amount of shrimp and crab. You also cran't go wrong with a little bit of bacon either. There is a similar savory crepe that they offer but I prefer the linguine since I think it really holds up to all the cream sauce better than the delicate crepe. The asiago chicken is also another dish that I order a lot and they literally give you a whole [2 pieces] chicken breast. This dish is served with orzo, which I am not a fan of, so I like that they allow me to substitute it for penne. If you are looking for a good side, the shoestring fries are wonderful and so thin and crispy. I got these on a whim one time and I am glad I did. Their baked goods are nothing special so skip those and try their crepes for dessert. Though they are expensive, they are a good size to share. My favorite is the Jamaican crepe. It is like a tropical bananas Foster and I think that the crunchy toasted coconut pieces work really well with the other flavors and textures. The servers here are really personable but service can be slow during peak hours. Food: 3.5 Value: 3.5 Service: 3.5 Overall: 3.5

Sweet Potato biscuit sandwich with the fried chicken was incredibly yummy!! Tried the hand cut fries with all four aioli (sp?) Dipping sauces so delicious. Pizza here is also very delicious. And the warm apple and brie bruschetta was to die for. Ended lunch with the Jamaican crepe, also very good, just huge! Can't really remember service, but out waiter wasn't bad. Very quiet and not to crowded. Has it own parking lot which is nice.

I am rating this restaurant for pizza specifically but it has great food overall. I think it has the best pizza in Richmond, definitely within Carytown. Their white pizza is delicious as well as their sausage pepperoni. Please try whenever you are craving pizza! I found brunch to be expensive and sub-par when compared to can-can or the daily.

I would definitely eat here again, however the Doug's Killer Creation omelette was seriously the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten. It had some weird florally taste to it that still makes me cringe when I think about it.

Had a so called California "Reuban". It was some slices of processed turkey on dry "toasted" rye bread. Nothing about the bread was grilled. One side of the sandwich had just turkey , no noticeable cheese, sauerkraut or thousand Island dressing. The other side had a tiny bit of T.Island , 2 pieces of cabbage they call sauerkraut and I think I saw a tiny piece of Swiss!! Horrible!! Won't go back there again except for maybe breakfast! Uggghh!!! No excuse for that and it cost $12!!! Crazy. Next time I want a Reuban , I'll go back to Perlys!!! That's a Reuban!!

I like this place! It's a wonderful little restaurant around Richmond which is like Panera, only better. My mom and I went here and had the kale salad, wine garden salad, and the apple/brie bruchetta. The salads were good but what stole the meal was the bruchetta. I've never thought of pairing apples and brie together and it definitely works. This was on toasted bread and the brie was melted but not soggy and the apples on top made a delightful appetizer.

I recently had the brie and mushroom soup which was dee-lish along with the fig and Fontina grilled cheese which comes with prosciutto, fig spread, Fontina and Muenster cheese on grilled sour dough. The sweetness from the fig spread balanced perfectly with the creamy yumminess of the soup. The house made chips are also very good.

Breakfast. Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Our waitress Linnea is fabulous and I will always ask for her! Jamaican Fried French toast..... kale salad...... Crab stuffed omelet..... the location is beautiful and enough space for everyone. Not too posh but upscale, not a place for kids! This place is no where near Panera which is generic soup and salads, granted, i like Panera but come on, really?

Omelette was great and big. Biscuits and gravy were ok. Biscuits were a little dry. Chicken and waffles were not to good. The chicken was greasy and not real crispy. Coffee was good. Service was great. I would go again but not order chicken and waffles.

Bakers Crust has always been one of my favorite restaurants, I've been to all of them in Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. However, when it comes down to deciding whether going to the one at Short Pump or the Carytown one, always choose short pump. One day my boyfriend and I decided to go to the one at Carytown and we've never regretted anything more. We both got a burger and sweet potato fries. They gave us a burger that had no pico di Gallo (which is what his was suppose to have) and they gave me the wrong burger along with like 8 fries that were super soggy. The waitress was obviously faking her good mood and the minute she turned away to get us the right food her body language showed how she really felt. When we asked for a skillet cookie for desert, they gave us an oatmeal raisin cookie rather than the chocolate chip one that was on the menu. Everything was wrong. ALWAYS GO TO THE SHORT PUMP ONE

Good food, good service. Good atmosphere. No wow factor, but its a good family friendly place to go for some good food. I went with a large group as a second choice after other restaurants in Carytown had a long wait on Friday night. Bakers Crust was busy, but by no means packed. It was a good alternative if you want to get a little bit away from the hubbub of the main drag of Cary Street. It's also more moderately priced than many other Carytown restaurants. I like Bakers Crust because you can go in any time of day to satisfy your needs, whether its breakfast, lunch, mid-afternoon snack, dinner, dessert, or just drinks. After visiting once, I did end up buying a Groupon so I could go back. But the food is moderately priced enough that you don't need a Groupon. On my first trip, I ordered the avocado goat cheese veggie panini. (They do have some great vegetarian options for those who want it.). The bread that that served the table, as well as the bread on my sandwich was delicious. The cheddar bread was a nice change from the standard Boring white bread served everywhere else. But, don't worry, if cheese isn't your thing, there are other bread options ad well. Everyone at my table also seemed happy with the food. We even ordered dessert! My chocolate cake was fine, but I really enjoyed my friend's frozen cheesecake - delicious!!! I plan on going there next time I just want some dessert!

I went only for coffee & dessert but it was very pleasant. The dessert menu wasn't huge but had appealing array of the bakery basics like cakes & cookies as well as crepes, sundae, cheesecake on a stick! (chocolate dipped, mind you) We had a gigantic eclair and white chocolate coconut mousse cake and they were heavenly especially with the perfectly brewed coffee! The server was friendly and attentive, the restaurant was artistically decorated European street cafe-ish, big windows allowed lots of light, an overall pleasant and comfortable cafe. I would love to spend my coffee & dessert break there every day if I could!

Used my voucher tinight to have a meatloaf on ciabatta sandwich. The whole thing was tasteless. The meatloaf had no taste at all. The homemade chips needed salt. My companion had the gluten free pizza margaretha. It had practically no sauce at all. We asked for a side of sauce. The crust itself wan't bad, though- for GF. I liked the crust alot better than Stuzzi's GF crust and about the same as Domino's GF pizza crust. I really like Baker's Crust's cakes but this meal was a total disappointment.

I went to this.location for a quick late lunch. I had to seat myself wait for a menu and then wait for a drink order and wait to have my.order taking. It was like the waitress wasn't interested in working also there were only 2 other tables in their. Food was better than the service and the food was only okay place needs.a.serious update. Also I noticed another waitress constantly running her hands through her hair. Not impressed at all. Will I go back NO I would rather spend money at another restaurant in Richmond.

I love the salads here. Their Cobb is big and chocked full of good stuff. I also love the tomato, avocado, and cheese. The calamari with sweet chili sauce is excellent as well. The pizzas are ok, try them on Thursdays when they have the specials. They also have a good chicken breast sandwich served on a sweet potato biscuit. Sometimes the service here is hit or miss, but overall a good spot for a date night, or a meal with friends.

The Baker's Crust is delicious and the pricing is good for the quality and quantity of food that you get. First things first, my boyfriend and I went because we heard awesome things about The Baker's Crust and because they offered a LivingSocial deal that was just too good to pass up. Our first visit was on a Saturday night, so it was very busy. My boyfriend and I started out with their fried mozzarella, which is two large pieces of breaded mozzarella atop marinara sauce. I really enjoyed this appetizer and thought the mozzarella was fried to perfection. Next, we shared the Bianca pizza. It was unlike any other pizza I have eaten to date. It was very cheesy and delicious. The cheeses did not overshadow the olive oil, the flavors are awesome. Lastly, we finished with the Jamaican crepe which was delicious. It is a warm crepe with bananas, coconuts, and ice cream with chocolate drizzled all over it. What more you could want in life? I also wanted to note that the ice tea there is also brewed very well. Since we had such a good visit for dinner, we went back the next Sunday for brunch. My boyfriend ordered chicken and waffles and said this was a very good dish. I ordered the Southern Breakfast or something like that. Anyways, it came with eggs, bacon, hash browns and a biscuit smothered in sausage gravy. Again, the meal was very good and very filling. The hash browns and sausage gravy were the standouts to me. The hash browns were delicious small fried potato cubes and the sausage gravy was the perfect comfort food. Both visits, I thought the wait staff did a great job. The only downside to The Baker's Crust at this location is the parking.

Not our best Baker's experience. I haven't been to this location in a while, but like a lot of places on Cary, there was a bit of attitude today. This time from the hostess. I was in line behind a small group of people, waiting to be sat with my son. After they were seated, the hostess came back, and went to seat the people who had come in after me. It was an honest mistake, but I was standing in front of them, so it was odd. I guess she didn't see me bc I'm so short...? Not sure. Luckily the people after me, informed her that I was there before them. That's when my son and I received an eye roll, and she told the other hostess that we were there first. Not sure why the situation warranted an eye roll, but whatevs. Maybe she was having a rough day. They were definitely slammed with their lunchtime rush, as it was 12 o clock. After being sat, my son and I, weren't greeted for over 5 minutes. Those of you who have worked in the service industry, know that this is a complete no-no. It was probably more like 10 minutes, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, that my time conception is off. This wasn't the biggest deal, as we were waiting for my husband to accompany us on his lunch break anyway. After being greeted, I ordered our food and drinks, at the same time. I was trying to save time for my hubby, who was on a limited break. I had asked for my side Caesar, and son's meal, to come out first. 15 or so minutes later, all of the food comes out. At the same time. Except for my side salad. When my husband inquired about it, the server said he would bring it right out. Unfortunately, he brought out the wrong salad. I didn't say anything though, and just ate it bc I was hungry, and not willing to wait. It wasn't completely wrong...it WAS a Caesar salad, it just had chicken on it as well. I think he confused my order with my hubby's, bc I actually DID order a (full sized) chicken Caesar salad for him. Not a biggie, but I definitely don't want to be charged for something I didn't order, or the chicken that I took off of it. When our bill came, it was on there. He quickly took it off, after having it called to his attention though. On the whole, our food was good. Their Caesar salad dressing is pretty watery, but that was our only complaint, as far as their food goes. The Bianca pizza, and my tomato and cheddar soup, were both delicious. I had never tried the Bianca before, and I was glad I ordered it. My son's food was simple, but also very good. He had The Gobbler, which is a half of a turkey sammie, and a cup of their tomato and cheddar soup. My husband had a full sized Chicken Caesar salad, and he thought it was ok, but only bc of the dressing. The lettuce was fresh, and the croutons and cheese atop it, were just fine. The service, on the whole, left much to be desired today. However, with that being said, our server had way too many tables. At least in my opinion. As a server in the past, I was usually pretty comfortable with 4 tables. But that depended a lot on the people who were sitting at those tables, and whether there were any errors made. Whether they were on my end, or the kitchen's end. He had 5-6 tables. I felt that we were a relatively easy table, but I can't speak of his others. When you're trying to deal with that amount of tables, and incorrect food, it can be a struggle at best. My advice, would be to have more servers during their lunchtime rush, and better distribute the seating rotation. However, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that someone called out, which left them understaffed. We will definitely continue to come here, but hopefully next time things will go a little more smoothly.

Items I've had are the Bianca pizza (best white pizza I've had in Richmond, 5 stars), their calamari (could be crispier, give it 2.5 stars), their bead pudding (pretty decent actually 3.5 stars). Food wise, pretty good, I'd come back... What makes me hate this place is their customer service. Waitress took 30 - 45 mins to get our check and no one working there seems to know what is actually on their menu. I don't think I've ever had a pleasant experience with their staff. They need to update their online menu so that there is no confusion when ordering over the phone.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Richmond - but I do advise that you have to know what to order! I disagree with other Yelpers that their pizza is the best. After giving it a shot three different times (I go here a lot), I've come to the decision that I will stay away from the pizza here. Maybe I've just gone on a few off nights when the wood-fired oven wasn't working right or new employees were training on some poor pies, but 2/3 times the crust was soggy, and the other 1/3 it was burnt. HOWEVER - everything else makes up for their pizza disasters! Here are the winners in my book! Brunch: Steak and Eggs Benedict, Zucchini Pineapple Muffin (off the "Morning Traditions" part of the menu), Doug's Killer Creation Omelet (Me and my crunch! Gotta love crispy fried potatoes folded into fluffy eggs!), and when they ask you what type of bread you'd like (which comes with any of the omelet or classic dishes) - you absolutely MUST get the jalapeno cheddar!! It's probably the most happiness and joy you will get baked into a perfectly spicy, cheesy loaf. Lunch/Dinner: Hand-Carved Turkey Cobb Salad, Shrimp and Crab Rockefeller Crepe, and Herb-Crusted Eggplant. All incredible. The sandwiches, eh. Similar experience to the pizza. DESSERT: Get the Crepe Noisette if you're a fan of Ferrero Rocher!! I have gone here just to get this before. The Jamaican crepe is also delicious! The only way you can really go wrong here is if you go for the pizza or sandwiches. Other than that, Baker's Crust is a Richmond star.

The food is good and the service is passable. It's the food which keeps me returning. They do a great brunch. Love the frittatas. The Jamaican french toast is large and sweet but you have to love the taste of banana to really enjoy. Their dinner menu is just as good with great salads and entrees. I especially love their pizzas.

I've eaten here many, many, many times; breakfast, lunch, dinner, brunch, coffee---I've been pleased with all meals and service. The wait staff is attentive, the food consistently good, and recently the menu has had some great additions. I'll always visit, especially on Sunday for brunch. Tip: Get there before 11:45 if you don't want to wait too long.

I love Baker's Crust, and so does my boyfriend. I come here every two weeks for either breakfast, lunch, or dinner. And thanks to the groupon deal, my boyfriend walks out happy paying half of what he usually pays. My absolute favorite is the crab and shrimp linguine. What I love the most is that they don't skimp on the portion. There's plenty of crab lumps, big shrimps, and asparagus. It's creamy and rich and totally satisfies my craving for carbs. My boyfriend's favorite is the caramelized onion and sausage pizza. He loves the oven brick baked pizza from there. It's a good portion, but he's a big eater so of course he finishes it. I manage to sneak a piece or two, and I must say, it's one of those pizza that I'm willing to break my diet for. Other than that, I must recommend their bruschetta. I love the salmon, mozzarella, and fig ones especially, but the waitresses recommend most of them. And of course, their crepe desserts are amazing (only if you have room for it after your filling mains). The perfect analogy would be that it's an upgrade to panera. The atmosphere is casual enough, but it's definitely a place to go with people whose company you love. Good food for good company.

Good place for breakfast or brunch. Lots of menu options, including omelets, benedicts, pancakes, french toast and more! Make sure you get a cup of coffee. The mugs are the coolest things I've ever seen! Well, that might be an exaggeration, but they are pretty nifty. Good service and nice atmosphere. They also had an enticing list of dessert crepes, unfortunately we were too full to try one this time.

I was assigned to find a meeting place that had good parking and good food. I've had a take out sandwich from Baker's Crust so I was unsure about what our experience will be eating here. It seemed hit and miss from most of the yelp reviews. Met my co-workers for lunch and was very pleased with the food and the service. I didn't feel rushed even when the restaurant was busy with their lunch crowd. I ordered the Manhattan Panini with a side of shoestring fries and co-workers ordered the BLT and Chicken Salad Sandwich. There were no complaints from them and said their food was good too. We had table envy when we saw that the adjacent table ordered fried mozarella. Jessica, who is a Louisiana native just had to try it and ordered this yummy treat for us. It was good... 2 freshly sliced mozarella, looks more like a patty with a thin marinara sauce on the bottom of the plate. This was not the typical fast food/chain mozarella sticks. Jessica had a complaint about the sweet tea which for her was not sweet enough... "us southeners like tea on our sugar"... or something like that. I thought it was just right, any sweeter and I would've asked for water to dilute my drink! Dessert was another delightful part of our lunch. Cheesecake on a stick dipped in chocolate, Chocolate lava cake which my adorable pregnant friend, Lorena was very happy about, and Noisette crepes which is great for Nutella lovers, Jessica loved it. I ordered brewed coffee with my dessert (cheesecake) and it was good coffee that was served in a cool and unique mug. I didn't expect to have such an enjoyable lunch in this place and can't wait to be back and try other items on the menu. Thanks for great food and great service!

I frequently use Bakers Crust to cater for my job. They deliver a hot, delicious breakfast and box lunches for 55 people with a smile. Alan is the caterer that I deal with. Today he delivered and set up by himself and was really friendly and professional.

Three times, I have ordered a burger cooked medium-well. Two of those times, it came out medium-rare. That's not really a problem, but when the server tells me that's what a medium-well burger is supposed to look like, that's just insulting. With that out of the way, Baker's Crust has installed a new pizza oven. WOW! I had the Margherita Pizza and must say it is awesome! Crust is not too thick or thin... chewy. Sauce and cheese are ample and appropriate. All around perfection. (Picture Stuzzi with better flavor and service).

You know, I know a lot of people who love this place, but I've never quite figured out why it has such a following. The food is fine - certainly not bad, but nothing special. The service is, well, serviceable. I do like the crepes, and the portion sizes are generous. It's one of those places that's nice for taking groups because there's something to please everyone on the menu.

From the outside looking in, the place looks great. Staff are friendly and the place is very clean. Looks like a great place to eat. Probably a great place to do the working lunches. But the food is lacking. The portions are small. I may try it again but with so many other local choices, probably not.

I agree with some of the other reviews - it is very much hit-and-miss, but becoming mostly "miss". We've been here twice in the last couple of weeks for breakfast and having the same food quality issues. I won't be returning soon. Beware the bacon - as others have noted it's either all fat, burnt black or served cold. For a place with such a nice menu, you would think that they could offer decent quality bacon and cook/serve it properly. Most everything else we had was flavorless. A lot of money spent for a poor quality meal and drab atmosphere. The glory days of this venue are past, unfortunately.

YUMMY YUMMY. This is my new fave spot to eat lunch. I had the pear pizza - yes, I know, it sounds off, but the mixture of sauce, cheeses, arugula and pears - YUM OFF THE CHART YUM!! My friend got the corned beef Reuben sandwich and it was awesome too. I am heading back ASAP!

Well well, this is a pretty good place to eat. The food is solid, I've tried some crepes and salads here and overall satisfied. The actual restaurant is not really my scene though. It's for the retiree and aging upper middle class Richmond crowd. The type of place you go with your work mates who dont like big chain restaurants. Has an air of a cafeteria. Its pretty generic but in a good way, I have no bad things to say about this place.

BEST PIZZA IN RICHMOND!! I eat a lot of pizza. Apparently, without me noticing, Bakers Crust installed a wood fired pizza oven about a year ago. I just noticed it on my last trip and had to give it a try. Amazing. There are a lot of new wood fired pizza ovens in town and I've tried them all. As much as I love the pizza at Belly Timber and Stuzzi, and even the traveling road show of Pizza Tonight, this one beats them all.

The Pear pizza is delicious. You can't go wrong with that order, but you can with their handcrafted latte's and coffee drinks. disgusting. I didn't get to try the famous apple pie, but I'll save that for another trip when my wallet is feeling happy enough :) I'm rating this place down one star because of how pricy it is and how disappointed I was by their coffee drinks, but otherwise the service was relatively fast and friendly and the place itself had a very cozy feel to it.

Best apple pie in America, hands down. I am still waiting all these years (after being in Richmond for grad school from 00-02) for Baker's Crust to be able to ship their pies to the Left Coast. Please, for the love of your fans, ship to us.....! My Thanksgiving table awaits your service patiently....!

I have only eaten here a few times...the service has always been really spot on, and the food is fresh! I read a couple reviews where people said its like an upscale Panera..I don't necessarily agree with that as Panera is really more like fast food, with a "chain restaurant" after taste to it. Baker's Crust is not fast food, not even close to fast food. However, it is a great place to get something that isn't overly involved. Like, simple food put together really well. And, no freaky chain restaurant after taste.

I got breakfast here this morning (Short Pump location) and everything on my plate was very hit or miss. The silver dollar pancake was too crunchy and the biscuit too salty but their hash browns were pretty good. It wasn't the worst breakfast ever but I was still disappointed. I don't think I'd eat breakfast here again; based on what other reviewers have said, it sounds like coming in for lunch or dinner would be a better choice. On the bright side, my meal was only roughly $10, so.

Had 2 misses at the Short Pump location so I decided to give Carytown a try. I love their food, it's fresh and delicious. We tried some of the new bruschetta. I had a Veggie Panini with goat cheese which was so flavorful and totally worth tearing up the roof of my mouth on the crusty bread. They were accommodating to my children's requests as well. However, the server took 5 minutes to get to the table, another 10 min for drinks. Appetizer was wrong when delivered. Kids' meals came out next, a full 20 minutes before the adults. The server was pleasant but non-attentive. All in all the meal took 2 hours. Quick? Not even a little. Like I said, the food has always been delicious. It's a shame the service doesn't rise to that level as well.

Contrary to the other reviewers, I went here for dinner and found it left a little bit to be desired. The bread basket presented as a starter did not match the expectations of a place named "baker's crust." The entrees were large in portion size, but we found them to be standard fair. In summary, if you're looking for a middle of the road place to grab some down to earth food without a fuss, this is the place for you.

I just ordered the double chocolate cake and a brownie. The cake was barely edible. The cake was not moist at all, it was dry and crumbling apart. The only thing holding it together was all of the icing they layered into the cake. The brownie shares a similar description. These were Pieces we're taken directly from their display counter. I won't return be returning here

Breakfast. Amazing! Amazing!

I love the salads here. Their Cobb is big and chocked full of good stuff. I also love the tomato, avocado, and cheese. The calamari with sweet chili sauce is excellent as well. The pizzas are ok, try them on Thursdays when they have the specials. They also have a good chicken breast sandwich served on a sweet potato biscuit. Sometimes the service here is hit or miss, but overall a good spot for a date night, or a meal with friends.

Omelette was great and big. Biscuits and gravy were ok. Biscuits were a little dry. Chicken and waffles were not to good. The chicken was greasy and not real crispy. Coffee was good. Service was great. I would go again but not order chicken and waffles.

What a wonderful welcome to our visit to Richmond. Everything was great food, atmosphere, service and the price was very reasonable. Lisa our server was fantastic. To top it off free wi-fi. Worth the trip.

I would definitely eat here again, however the Doug's Killer Creation omelette was seriously the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten. It had some weird florally taste to it that still makes me cringe when I think about it.

I've taken many people here for breakfast or lunch and everyone has enjoyed it. It has become a "go to" spot to catch up with friends and visitors to the area. Can't say enough about the breakfast though. I've had some really good omelettes there. Parking is a pain, though.

  • Alida H.

The food, service and ambiance (it's an old Shoneys) here are nothing special, indeed. The reason you go here is for the dessert. OMG! Beautiful and delicious.

I ordered Mediterranean Shrimp which was ranked highly in their menu - it was 4 shrimp on a small bread and it costed $19. I rank this place a complete rip off, very average taste but good waitress.

Really 4.5 stars. Went in for breakfast on New Year's day with two small kids (under 3) with no wait. Great service and the good was awesome. Perfect kids portion sizes. Potatoes and biscuits were fantastic. I usually like to go to local places, but this placed felt local. Coffee was very good as well. Only issue was that it was a but cold.

Everything was good. Eggs as an add on to a meal a bit steep at more than 1.50/egg, I could get a dozen for just a little more but food was pretty good. It was a bit loud in there but tolerable.

Their roasted tomato and house-made mozzarella panini is the best sandwich I've ever had. If you go there, order it. You won't be disappointed.

The only crepe worth eating in Richmond!

It's ok. Great chips with cheese and bacon. Wish breakfast was served later. Overall good place for Richmond!
