OK I have to qualify this review with a couple of things... First, I used to cook and tend bar across the street in Niki's Nook in 1991-1992. Roman's opened while I worked there... So they are doing something right staying in business for about 20 years where other businesses have changed hands multiple times. Second, I was happy with my visit here but also disappointed. The bartender on duty Pat, was a lovely Thai girl with a ready smile and genuine enthusiasm for attending her customers. Full bar with a decent selection of beers. personally like to see some craft beers but that's me and not what may sell where young Marines want quantity over quality. The food is still prepared fresh to order so it takes a bit to get it but it's usually tasty. I ordered the Mantle Chicken sandwich. Mom goofed and made it spicy, no worries, I love spicy food so I asked to take it anyway. I noticed portions have changed, the sandwich is on the menu as Chicken with Bacon and Cheddar. It came with weak processed cheese slice, I'm guessing mild cheddar/american and one piece of bacon. Years ago it would have been more bacon and freshly sliced sharp cheddar. a few more fries wouldn't have hurt either. Once again they are doing something right they are still in business in a town where most others have come and gone multiple times. The food is fresh and tasty, and the menu is not overly cluttered. Pat is a joy to chat with while you are there. Check them out they are worth a visit. Sláinte!

Here's the thing about Roman's: It's owned by one woman and ran from top to bottom by that very same woman most of the time. It's important that people understand that entering the restaurant. With that being said, a little bit of a wait is going to be expected. The food is good for the price you pay, especially the wings. Like it or leave it. It's a QTown landmark.

It's kinda telling when you're one of two bars in a tiny town absolutely surrounded and closed off by a Marine Corps base yet you're almost empty on a Friday night... To some it might be a sign you're doing it wrong.

This place seems to have gotten some undeserved scorn. We went here for lunch today, were served promptly, and enjoyed our food. The wings were fresh, spicy, and just the right amount of crispy. The burgers were real beef and cooked as ordered. The fries were just okay, but who goes to a place for the fries? Anyway, I can't speak to how the nightlife here is, but as a lunch establishment it was perfectly adequate and the prices were fair.

Came in for lunch around 1ish and it was completely dead. Typically you would think it would be pack because of the lunch rush. It kinda worried me. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was not bad. Soda came out of a fountain which I hate because the carbonation is not there. Portion size is little, place looks clean and so is the bathroom.

Worst service ever. I waited 35 minutes for my drink. When it came, it was wrong. Had to reorder and waited 15 more minutes. When my "medium well' burger came, 45 minutes later, half was still mooing and the other half was charcoal. I think they are cooking on a single-wide George Forman grill. I should've paid with Monopoly money.

I really wanted to like Roman's. I'm the type of food anti-snob that seeks out holes in the wall & this place meets all the requisite criteria. Was stoked to see a sign on the door for the "best buffalo wings in town." I was pumped. I'm not going to draw this review out. The wait for the food was long, the chicken sandwich I had was unremarkable. The fries were meh. There's no way that the best wings in town claim can be true... and Quantico is a SMALL town. I think the entire town is 3 blocks. The saving grace of Roman's is that they serve 32 Oz draughts. Aside from that, I'd steer clear. I now know from other reviews that Roman's is a Qtown staple, and is ran solely by the nice lady that poured the beers & took my order, but this is the kind of establishment that has only survived because of the small market. Small fish, small pond.

I agree with the previous reviewer that this place has gotten undeserved scorn. I think the reviews for bad or slow service are unfounded. it's not a fast food establishment, it's a mom and pop restaurant run by a single sweet woman. "Mom" always greets you with a smile. As for the food, the wings are actually really good. fresh, crisp and made to order with a good homemade sauce. the sandwiches I have tried are also good with fresh quality ingredients. Beer is also really cheap here. Everything is relative. For the location and price, it's a good value and good lunch option on base. I'd give it 4 stars but added one to offset the unnecessarily unfair critical reviews.

Stay AWAY..... A nasty dive with little to no service. The place looks like it has not been cleaned in ages. and a mystery why anyone would eat there. The same drink never costs the same thing twice, and although I have no proof, my sense is that the name brand bottles contain a lesser quality product. That only matters if you can get someone to come out from the kitchen and serve you. If you must go there, I would highly recommend you not pay with credit card. My advise it that you do yourself a favor and go just a little farther down the street to Sam's, it's a real bar with good staff and good food. You'll be so much better off.
