Have wanted to try this place since first seeing it a couple months ago - yesterday was the day. Nicely done interior and very friendly staff - made me feel like a regular even though it was my first time in. Had the Godfather sub which was kind of like an Italian sub and it really was excellent. The meat and bread were fresh, full of flavor, and the pepper stuff on it was absolutely out of this world. Definitely worth checking out, and I look forward to trying their other locations in Reston & Sterling which will save me about a 20 mile drive.

Came here during my hour lunch break because I've always passed this place to and from my work and its always busy! I was so certain this place would be amazing from how busy it always looks. Cars line the street this place is located even with their decently sized parking lot (which is always packed during lunch time). I got the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich, not bad but not something that that I would remember or crave again for that matter. Substantially disappointed for the crowded tables (inside and outside) that made Santini's seem like the place to be. Maybe I'll give it another try some other day after some of my disappointment starts to wears away...

I don't think I've every had anything there I didn't like, and I've tried just about every one of their "Favorite" sandwiches. The pizza is decent but not the best in the area. The cannolis are pretty amazing. The calzones are huge and really tasty!

Very solid place. Friendly staff, good food. The pizza is tasty (I may not be as picky as some) and the calzones are excellent. The sandwiches are worth a try as well. I like the fries there; they seem to be seasoned with an Old Bay-type seasoning. Also have had fresh cannoli there, which was great. Definitely a solid go-to place, although it does get slammed at certain times of the day with locals.

I live about 4 minutes away from Santini's so I come here a lot. I have tried many dishes from their pizza to steak and cheese sub to the chicken club. Everything I've tried here has been delicious! They are fast, very friendly, and always get the order right. Santini's has become my #1 spot for pizza because the dough is thin (not too thin), the sauce is delicious, and there's plenty of cheese on it. They also have a variety of cake slices which are homemade and exceptionally decadent. Yum! Go try it!

Have only been here once, but looking forward to going back again. Go early or go late, because they are packed during the lunch rush. There is a large menu to choose from and you can get sandwiches served hot or cold. The staff was friendly and the service was quick.

I visited during a very busy lunch hour. I ordered a chicken sandwich and Italian wedding soup. It was all good. I even ordered a few desserts to-go which were great. I have to say the best part of the visit was the desserts. The deli food itself was fine but nothing extraordinary. However, I do plan on going back to try different items and definitely the desserts!

3.5 out of 5 I went here last night with a few friends to try it out. The restaurant has a nice casual, clean feel to it. Theres some table and chairs, a counter, and a nice flat panel tv to provide distraction. There's also toons of bottled drinks and candy. I ordered the eggplant parm sub and some onion rings. The sub wasn't huge, probably 8 inches long, but it was relatively packed and well made. I do question the eggplant being used, as it didn't look or taste quite the freshest. They used restraint with the cheese and sauce, which while normally a good thing, I would have preferred more. The onion rings were perfect though. They had that cruncy rough coating, and and actual onion in the middle, not paste. The place seemed to have some interesting menu choices(sliders, chili as noted by Michelle, and pizza options), so I may try it again if I were nearby. However, when it comes to purely "New York" style delis, I would rather go to Chutpzah which is closer and has larger portions, or Celebrity Delly in Falls Church.

Service was good and attentive. Most of the food was very good. Bread was not to deli standard - soft and little texture. I will go there again for other meals. Good casual dining with easy access.

Ok.....when at first my friend was telling about how good this place was...I just looked at him and gave him the weird look. From the outside, Santini's looks like not much. But one day, we decided to go and he told me that their calzones were great and so I gave it a try. Well....I got to say....it was the best calzone I ever had. Since then, I've tried a few different varieties from other places and nothing compares to it. Not only the food was good but the service is great! They have been nothing than nice to us, always friendly, smiling, letting us come late...even tough I am sure they just wanted to close down the place after a long day of work! They always recognize us and are just great! I will definitely go back...mostly when the good weather comes back because they have a nice, big patio outside.

I love santinis! I boycotted it for a long time because i was still mad that the Friendly's left and i knew whenever i went in i would be met by at least five kids i went to high school with, but once i got over that fear and gave it a shot, it became a go to place. Believe it or not, my favorite thing on the menu is their chilli. I really like it. I think what i like about it is that its got the perfect amount of spice for me. I really can't handle spicy foods, but thier chili is awesome. You can get cheese and onions added on top and its even better. I think its the consistancy. They dont put a lot of crap in it so its a lot of meat and not as much "filler". On a cold evening there is nothing better than a cup of chili and a grilled cheese sandwich. Their pizza is great and i love thier curly fries! I also like that anything is made to order. While its not on their menu, i frequently get a house salad with griller chicken on it. And its reasonable priced even though its a custom order! I will warn that the cheese steak is fantastic but REALLY spicy. I can't even eat it without my mouth erupting into flames (but i do have a low spice tolerance). So be forwarned to ask for it without spicy peppers

Went there for the first time today. Its a little hectic walking in during a rush since it ordering at the counter, waiting and then finding a seat but the food was very good. The Godfather sub was fresh with more meat than I anticipated. The fries were hot and not greasy. There is a wide array of desserts. The cannoli is very tasty. A good place to go for lunch.

Decent sandwiches. Pizza is excellent if your looking for the NY type of pizza with gobs of cheese and droopy crust (heck every once in a while you need to do it). Don;t bother if you;re looking for wood fired oven crispy crust with all sorts of trendy toppings. I have to take one star away because somethimes they get kind of disorganized, especially with to-go orders. We order mainly take out and they frequently screw up the order. We'll order on the phone & they'll say the pizza will be ready in 15 minutes and we get there in 20 minutes and it's like "oh, yeah, ummm it will be up in a few minutes. Well 20 minutes later our pizza is up. Obviously, the phone guy had forgot to put in the order.

I am not a huge fan when it comes to deli sandwiches, but I enjoyed the sandwiches here. They have a huge selection of sandwiches to choose from or you can create your own. I had a meatball sub and it was pretty tasty. I had a slice of pizza as well, which I was not a huge fan of. The pizza taste better than the pizza from those large chains, but not in comparison to other places that specialize on pizza like Mama Lucia or Luciano's.

Santini's doesn't kid around with its name as a New York Style Deli. Having been eating out of NYC delis for the past eight months, I know one when I see one, and this is the real thing. Santini's is no frills - you order your sandwich, sides (w00t to great onion rings!), and/or pizza and plop yourself down at one of the various long tables and eat some reasonably-valued grub. There's no messing around with haughty-nose-in-the-air-too-good-to-serve-you and/or ubiquitous-won't-get-out-of-your-face wait staff. In fact, you won't have to deal with wait staff at all (unless you sat yourself down and they have to walk around the counter and drop off your food)! It's simple fare. Their food will fill you up. If you're trying to eat healthy, this probably isn't a great option. If you're hankerin' for a taste of NYC deli dish, you're in the right spot.

The sandwiches are so addictive. Sometimes, the bread is hard to chew. They are so yummy desserts. The team at this location are total sweethearts.

Can't say that I've tried all the pizzerias in Virginia but for me Santini's is the closest thing to a NY slice that I've had in my 2 years of living in NOVA. My typical Sunday involves an 11am stop to Santini's to get the first two slices of the day. The thin crust, rich tomato sauce, oozing cheese and Yankees paraphernalia transports me back to 42nd St and Queens Blvd. Let's go Yankees 2009!!!

I am pleased that this is my neighborhood deli. My grandparents moved here from Italy, so I know a tasty eggplant sub when I see it. Santini's delivers a tasty eggplant sub. Their chicken Cesar salad has fresh romaine (not gross bag-o-salad), and nicely seasoned chicken breast. The dressing is good--not stunning, but better than average. The salad fills a plastic clamshell container and is a great deal at around $7. The Italian sub was also above average. I've been spoiled by the Italian Store, so I can't rave too much about it. One confusing item is the "Spicy Santini Fries." I'm not sure what I expected, but it certainly wasn't fries covered in Old Bay. I'm a big fan of Old Bay (yummmm Crab Chips!), but it tastes really strange next to a grinder. I'd stick with the onion rings or regular fries. I trust Santini's to deliver an enjoyable meal efficiently and for a reasonable price.

  • Kers J.

It's good...anyone from New York will tell you that the sauce still needs a little work on the pizza and a bit more work with the dough. But its a solid, cheap, quick fix at 10.95 for a medium..Suffice!

  • Leslie L.

You know, this place is pretty good as far as delis are concerned. Even when there is a line, one person helps you through the entire order so no one is ever confused about what you ordered or getting something in your order wrong. Even if you sit outside (in the ample patio seating) you can be sure that that person who made your sandwich/calzone/etc knows to look for you, and only you, until your order is received. The menu is huge and hangs from the ceiling- pizza, calzones, sandwiches, desserts. This place- since it's a New York deli- has NY sports team paraphernalia on the walls (and ceiling), which makes me a little queasy since I'm a big Boston/New England sports fan. Can't fault them for that, I suppose everyone is entitled to their own team loyalties... I guess. (Haha.) All in all, a pretty pleasant experience.

Great...Excellent...Super Pizza. NY style pizza rocks. I would say the Calzone is decent. I am not a big calzone fan but this one seemed to taste decent. However, try the pizza...it is great!

I love the Roast Turkey sandwhich on white bread. I also recommend the Philly Cheese Steak. Also try the Chicken Philly cheese steak. Don't touch the Red Velvet Cheese Cake, don't ask why, just trust me.

okay, so, the next time i was in the area, i did give this place another shot and i have to say, i was impressed. the same guy took my order, and this time he was in a good mood i guess. i ordered the "godfather" salami, proshutto and capricola, lettuce tomato onion peppers and dressing. pretty standard as far as a classic italian cold-cut sub goes, but it was everything i could have wanted and more. next time arround, i think ill be stopping by here not only because im in the area, but because i look forward to trying some more subs. what can i say? im a guy who likes a good sandwich

Great steak and cheese sandwiches and calzones. I've been to the Sterling location and had the steak and cheese there. Great flavor and just a hint of spiciness. A good amount of meat for the price $6.95 for 8 inch ($2.75 extra for 12 inch). I wish it had more grilled onions and an option for Cheese Whiz. The 8 inch portion size was good - I wasn't stuffed but I was satisfied. The veggie calzone was huge with a side of marinara ($8.50). Packed with cheese and veggies - they don't skimp on anything. We ordered 10 minutes out and it was ready when we arrived at the take out window. I liked this location better because of the outdoor patio area and the huge LCD TV inside. I read the Reston location has more TVs so it is next on my list. I also need to try the NY style pizza.

if the name doesn't sell it, when you step inside Santini's, you'll know you're in NY sports territory. The one in Oakton is outfitted with a huge plasma tv and a bar (i think they serve beer and wine, maybe liquor?). But i come here for the sandwiches. Their cold cut sandwiches are the best i've had in this area. They give generous portions of meat in the go-to "godfather" sub i usually get. I have not had the pizza yet, but my friends say its totally worth getting. I think i get sucked into the godfather too much. Anyway, this Oakton gem is a must-visit. Located in the old "Friendly's" building, it is definitely brand new on the inside.

I am sorry I never went here sooner. I guess I always had bad memories of when this used to be a Friendly's. I love that you can get a pastrami/corned beef sandwich with Russian dressing and cole slaw. Everything is made to order, so you know it is gonna be fresh. I will definitely be back.

I'm with Bryan B. The hot jersey boy sub is my new favorite deli style sandwich. Very simple, but awesome. I've been getting 2 o 3 a week ever since I tried it, about a month ago and have only had 1 that I was disappointed with. My only problem with the sandwich is that its kinda awkward to order a "hot jersey boy" if your a guy. I've tried the pizza which is pretty good and the club sandwich on croissant which is also very good. This review is based on the Sterling location only, not sure why it's not listed on yelp.

Everything I have ever had from here is delicious! Eggplant parm, subs, calzones, everything is fantastic and reasonably priced. The service is quick and friendly as well. 2 thumbs up Santini's!!!

Very large selection of sandwiches and very fast. However, it's not the healthiest of selections. Good for if you're on the go of craving something greasy.

Like the "godfather" in the 12" size. Tasty subs that are good for a change... but the system for check out is a little disorganized. Overall, a nice sub on good bread... not your typical chain!

  • Jeff W.

I gave Santini's 4 stars not because it's in the top tier of fine dining, but for what it is. It's good food when you're on the go. With so many restaurants requiring you to be seated and waited on, it's nice to have a good fallback spot for when you want to come in for a quick bite and get out. Their subs are delicious and their pizzas and calzones are quite good as well, though items prepared in the oven take much longer than salads and sandwiches. Subs usually get prepared and handed to you before you've even had a chance to sign your credit card slip or get your change. For slightly slower than fast food, but much more fresh and tasty, Santini's is a great neighborhood spot.

Being a New Yorker and Italian this is no New York Deli when I ask for fresh mozzarella and get shredded cheese that's not NY. Then when I call and complain the manager didn't know what fresh mozzarella or Buffalo mozzarella is. And the bread is mediocre at best get some semolina. You can hang all the Giant and Yankee flags you want but your still a wanna be.

    Solid family spot

  • J S.

This is a great place that's not a big chain to get NY deli-style food. The menu is pretty expansive, sandwiches, pizza, normal deli stuff. The decor is typical NY, they have a TV and all as well. The food is pretty good, about what you would expect from a good deli. I'd recommend this any time you're looking for a good sandwich or slice of pizza and tastes pretty good.

    (4)
  • Bryan B.

I have to preface this with, I absolutely LOVE the Santini's in Sterling. It's probably one of my favorite deli's in the area. The Jersey Boy makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Having said that, I stopped in to this location early last summer expecting the same experience and was sadly disappointed. While the sandwich was "ok", it wasn't the normal fantastic experience that I was used to. It wasn't that warm, and just didn't taste as good. The person I was with (also a big Santini's fan) also commented that his sandwich wasn't quite as good either. Maybe it was just a fluke, I don't know. If you aren't that excited about this place, give it another shot at the location in Sterling if you're up that way, trust me, you'll love it. I actually live in Reston and am excited seeing them about to open a location very close by! I am hoping they turn out to be trained by the sterling store! (grin).

i love the santinis and the calzones. i see a lot of policemen and firefighters hang out here. friendly service and friendly environment although sometimes my friends and I get funny looks because we're all approaching 20 years and a little rambunctious. I guess the families with little kids don't appreciate the language we use or the topics we discus haha

It always grosses me out when I see food preparers sneezing and wiping snot from their dripping noses, so when the fellow behind the counter did this, I had to stifle a reaction by telling myself that he was just the manager, not one of the two food preparers. They were wearing gloves and seemed to be following normal sanitary guidlines. Unfortunately, immediately upon wiping the snot on his hands, the bare-handed snot man decided to pick up utensils, containers, and yes, actually handle the pile of pastrami with his slimed hands. He coughed and sneezed and wiped some more goo into the food and sandwich prep surface. Then he picked up an un-opened soda that he had back there and walked out from behind the counter to replace it in the drink fridge. His long hair, unkempt unlike the other felows, flowing around the area as he thundered about the premesis, his filthy hands getting into everything, proclaimed to the subordinate men that he was not beholdent to their menial chores but only indulged at his whim. For he was The Manager. All I could think about while I ate my New Yorker (pastrami and corned beef on toasted rye with cheese and slaw) was about his runny nose and the snot he put directly into the food and onto everything. Snot Man was not the one making my sandwich but he was all over the place. I hope I don't catch whatever he had. This was my first visit to Santinis, and I don't think I'll be able to bring myself to catch their menu again. This was the Oakton location, Sunday evening yesterday, walk-in take-out.

First time here last week. I have always heard great things about this place. In my opinion it is over priced and the food is not that great. I had the philly steak and cheese sandwich, I do not recommend it at all. Nothing worse than craving one of these and not fulfilling that craving.

  • Nia W.

Very poor service. The staff was unfriendly, the food took long, and for the price we paid, I really expected something more quality. I won't be returning to this establishment. I walked in with a big group, and the woman at the front desk looked annoyed. Unacceptable.

Sit at the bar area and you will witness how dirty everything is, from the floor, the windows, the burnt smell coming from the toaster. Flies. Gross.

Horrible Value! The only thing New York about this place is the ridiculous prices for pretty tiny portion sizes. Kids meal of chicken fingers - almost $6 and you get two little dinky pieces of chicken and maybe 2 dozen french fries. $3.5 for about 3 oz. of Curly Fries (or maybe 16 individual pieces). Do they care - not particularly - when I asked if this was normal, they answered "yes - but you can buy more if you like." The pizza was decent --- somewhat authentic - but my wife's sub wasn't anything special. Rude snarky staff - food took forever to deliver and even then, they delivered it as individual items - we didn't get two items together. This occurred on Thursday at 5:00PM - one order in front of us so it really wasn't that busy - they just didn't like to be questioned on what I felt was poor service and poor quality. Not returning - if you're in the 1% and you want poor portion sizes, feel free to go - Subway across the street actually seemed appetizing in comparison! STEER CLEAR!

Best Ever!!!! Their service is phenomenal, their food is fantastic and the Coke, OMG the Coke is so good! Idk what it is about their soda machine but it makes their Coke better than any other Coke I've ever had! I tell them that all the time too :) I love their steak and cheese but I'm sure everything is delicious!

I've been to this Vienna one several times. It's pretty good. Although all I ever order is the chicken philly with everything. This place is your typical dandwich shop....hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, salads, calzones, breakfast stuff. I do think their chicken philly is better than most other sandwich shops. Service is pretty quick.

  • Chris M.

Went with a couple of slices of pizza and a calzone. The pizza was ok, but I thought the calzone was better. To be fair, I just bought slices which may have been re-heated. That's never the same as a fresh pizza. 3 stars - it was pretty busy during a Saturday night rush. Staff was fast, but not too nice. Probably just stressed. The ordering was a little confusing/chaotic. Do I wait and stand around, or just sit and assume you'll remember who I am in this sea of humanity? They remembered. Def worth a try. Next time I'll rate their pizza on a fresh pizza.

A place to go to enjoy solid New York-style deli food while watching whatever game happens to be on the big screen. I can never pass up an Italian Sandwich, and this place fits the bill. No fuss ordering at the counter. Food comes out quick and hot. Eat and enjoy! I like how much dressing they put on the sandwich as some places can mess up this delicate balance and leave a sandwich tasting too acidic. We enjoyed a quick bite the other night while catching part of the Nationals game. We were joined by some hardcore fans which made it a fun experience. I have yet to try their pizza, but could be convinced to turn away from my hot sub in a moment of pizza weakness. UPDATE: I had the pleasure of trying their pizza recently (Pepperoni and Mushroom). Classic thin crust New York style pizza. Greasy and hard to hold yet oh so delicious. I would definitely recommend it for take out.

  • Ken B.

Great place to grab a sub or pizza. They have an enormous menu and it is all made fresh. They have eat in service or you can call ahead and do carry out. They stay busy during the lunch hour, which is a sign that it's a hot spot. It doesn't seem to phase them because they get you in and out pretty quickly. The food is awesome and I'm on a personal mission to try a little bit of everything. The prices can be a little steep but it's worth it because the taste is on point. The staff is friendly and even though they may be a tad bit short, it's expected when they're so busy. I'd rather them be short then talky and not getting my food out. I'll definitely be back to this joint because the food is silly good. *This business is gun carry friendly.

Omg, this place is so good!!!! Everything I have ever ordered has always been fresh and hot! My husband loves the calzones and I love the pizza. You can never go wrong coming to santinis for a meal.

Called my food in and still had to wait. Got the veggie calzone. It was OK. The marinara was very good but the calzone had too many tomatoes and not enough everything else. Will probably go back to try the pizza.

My first couple of visits, I ordered the Jersey Boy. Their portions are very generous. I can say a sub lasts me lunch and dinner. While I was waiting for my sub one time, I noticed a man at the bar eating a beautiful salad with chicken all over it. I asked him what it was, and he revealed what has become my new favourite order.... A large house salad with grilled chicken. The chicken is perfectly cooked, and well seasoned, with a variety of herbs that include some red pepper flakes, but not so much that it becomes spicy, merely zesty. When I get it for take away, I usually bring it home and add a little more lettuce to it to make it a solid 2 meal deal. I love it! Also, I really like their steak fries.

I always go after the lunch rush on weekdays. Service is quick and to the point. A bit pricey, but well worth it for knowing that the quality of food. Everything comes out hot and fresh. I have eaten here 50 times and never left disappointed. Onion rings are mandatory (hot and crispy). Club crossaint is my favorite sandwich. Santini's Calzone will leave you stuffed. So good.

Me and my family went to to dinner here the service here really sucks they really need to understand what it is about customer service I will never go there again.... These guys were so much in a hurry to get out of there they kicked us out of the restaurant of course they made us pay and yes we did give them a tip but I will never ever in my life take my family here again

    (1)
  • Karen W.

As a vegetarian, there is not a lot I can eat here. But both their Greek salad and veggie pita are very good with generous portions. My only complaint is that they often get the order wrong. The staff that take the orders refuse to write anything down (extra peppers, no tomato, whatever) and if you order several things, they always forget it by the time they give the order to the kitchen. Sometimes they come out to ask you to repeat the order while you are waiting, but most of the time you will find out when you get home that they forgot to hold the olives or whatever.

It's actually insulting that they call this is a "New York" style deli. After an initial underwhelming experience, I gave this another chance..nope, I was right the first time. The sandwiches are horrible. The meat is bland, no flavor at all. The bread is dry. They don't have nearly enough filling. God knows why they are so overpriced. Don't waste your time here.

For this area, it's the best spot for pizza, calzones, and desert. The price/quality is fantastic. I had the Stake calzone and it was as good as it gets.

Wasn't too busy on a Sunday afternoon but there were a few customers, one was a family. The big screen had football on but the volume wasn't deafeningly loud which was greatly appreciated. This place had a real local feel, comfortable and laid back. A place that we could frequent if lived in this area, the burbs. It's got plenty of seating and well lit, tables were cleared, and ordering was a breeze. You can't miss it there's a big sign next to the soda machine that hangs from the ceiling that says "Order here". A plus someone brings out your order which was great. Ordered a basic pep cheese medium pizza which took about 10 mins to cook. It's a thin crust, generous with the topping. Also got the New Yorker which is like a Reuben but they added an additional layer of yumminess--pastrami on top of corned beef. It comes with your choice or sauerkraut or coleslaw. Lastly, tried the fries seasoned with yummy Old Bay. Next time I'll give in to a gyro and gargantuan-looking onion rings. Lots of comfort food at a good value in a place you can slow your pace and enjoy time with lived ones.

This place is not even remotely similar to a NY style deli. The only things "New York" about this place are the too-high prices and Yankees/Giants memorabilia hanging on the walls. The food is not good, the service is worse. I have given this place several chances but am always disappointed, whether I have ordered sandwiches, pizza or salads.

A common lunch spot with NYC charm (or so I'm told). I come here often when I have a hankering for a big sub and some curly fries. My favorite items on the menu: Steak and Cheese sub or Eggplant Parmesean. Both these subs have kept me coming back for me. I haven't had their pizza yet, but I've heard good things :) The portions are big, the restaurant is clean, and they understand how to put on fast service without losing the friendliness.

I used to live within walking distance of this location and loved it. the portions are huge so i always have leftovers. pricing is a bit high but well worth it. customer service is always good too. my go to is actually the BLT on a croissant

I was disappointed in the food and the cleanliness at the Oakton location. I ordered a salad and had gyro meat added. The meat was dry and old, flavorless. The greens were plain. Not the best salad. I had my one year old son with me. Every high chair was discusting. One had a pickle on it that was whole and molding, which tells me it had been there for a long time. Each chair, I looked at all of them to pick the one that was the least filthy, had not been cleaned in a very long time. I requested a manager, however there wasn't one on duty at that time. I told the person who was working the condition of the chairs and he didn't seem to care. I can say the potatoe salad was good and my husband enjoyed his BLT. We've eaten at the Chantilly location many time and have been every happy. However this location is seriously missing the mark.

I give the cheese pizza slice and Italian sub 3 stars. The taste was ok but not a NY deli quality sub to me. Service was nice and pleasant. It must be a local thing because it was crowded. With that I say try it out at least once --- you may like it.

Santinis is a favorite for me and my husband. The Greek salad with homemade Italian dressing is amazing! I've also had the deli calzone and it was delicious as well. My husband likes to eat the hot sandwiches and we both love the NY cheesecake. The service is always fast with both dine-in and carry out orders. The place really feels authentic.

My husband and I couldn't decide on what to eat so we decided on Santini's. I think that it fits the bill for something relatively fast with variety. My husband got his usual calzone but I decided to mix it up since I was a little under the weather so I opted for some chili and fries. My meal came out first and that would be my only real complaint about Santini's is the fact if you dine here with another person food will come out at different times depending on what you order. The chili had a nice spice to it that satisifed my taste buds. I wish I would have ordered the boardwalk fries since it would of have been better for dipping into the chili instead of the Santini fries I ordered. Another Santini success! I will like to note that depending on which way you are heading and time of day this location could be hard to get to. There is plenty of parking and places to sit outside in the summer time.

Pretty plain deli in suburban Virginia trying to be an Italian NYC deli. Pretty good selection of sandwiches, service is fast and friendly, however eating there is a little hectic as the line for food will end up being in your lap. Really no charm to the place but good for take out and reasonably priced

Been here three times since it's near my friend's place, and he and another in the group recommended it. The first two times I got pizza slices, which were delicious authentic New York style. The most recent time I got a corned beef hash sandwich since I had pizza that previous day, and it was very good. My friend was right that you can't go wrong with this.

I can't believe it has been two and a half years since I first reviewed Santini's, I guess time flies when you're not paying attention. Everything that I wrote in my initial review still holds; the pizza is my meal-of-choice at least 50% of the time, and the other 50% is spread across a number of sandwich options. I've been on a chicken-parm kick lately, and Santini's is excellent at maintaining that crispiness in the crust rather than going soggy under the sauce and cheese. The Godfather is one of the best italian cold-cut sandwiches I've had in a long time, and the Bogey is a good alternative to the chicken parm if you want a hot sandwich. They have also recently aded boardwalk fries to the menu, and I do love me some boardwalk fries! Finally, don't miss the cannoli, which are the best I've found in the DC area by far. The key is that they are freshly filled with a lighter filling than most, so they stay crunchy on the outside but with a light and sweet filling. Now if they would just switch their allegiance to the Red Sox rather than the bloody Yankee's...

I'll admit it. I boycotted this place for a few years because it took over the space formerly occupied by Friendly's, and I have extremely fond memories going to that location as a child to get a conehead. Finally, a few years ago I caved and stopped in, and woweewow. Best eggplant parm sandwich I have had in my life (thinly sliced, perfectly fried). Portions are generous, service is extremely friendly, and restaurant is clean.

I have finally found it! I love Katz Deli in NYC, and have been on a quest to find a reasonable local substitute. Well, I surpassed my expectations! Santini's is to die for, and I don't have to wait until my periodic visits to NYC. The pastrami on rye with sauerkraut is first-rate. The meat is excellent quality, tender, moist, and truly of the NY-delis school. The cakes are wonderful. I am so glad I don't have to travel to NY. Brava Santini!

  • Jenni B.

I could smell something burning from my table. Turns out it was my calzone. It smelled like charcoal and was inedible. The Santini fries were cold and dry. I sent the Calzone back, the 2nd one was perfect. They could use some quality control.

Good food, fast service. Maybe a bit pricy for my budget minded taste and feeding kiddos, but a pizza can be good value for them. Overall, I would recommend.

Santini's has the freshest deli meats and cheeses. Their New Yorker Sandwich, corned beef, coleslaw, russian dressing, with cheesed grilled on rye, is amazing. As a Philadelphia born Jewish woman, I neeeeeeed my deli food and this place does a good job with a sandwich and some chips. It's also super fast, pick-up in 10-15 mins! Also..their lemon coconut cake is AMAZING.

I don't know about this place. We went in and asked for a steak and cheese, a turkey sub, and fries. The small amount of fries were finished in 2 seconds. The steak and cheese was not overflowing with meat like I'd usually expect. The steak and cheese at the Tysons Food court (far left) is amazing!!!! (I don't know the name of the place) And the turkey sub was only "okay". The girl at the register isn't that great at customer service either I went in another time and ordered chili, the chili was actually very good.

Quick lunch as we were in the process of packing out the apartment. Fast, efficient place. Wide selection of sandwichs. Had the Italian and it was great. Just hot enough to get your attention. Roll was fresh and not overly chewy. All in all a very delicious meal, quickly made and moderately priced. Recommended.

I used to be frustrated with this place, mostly because of the too-few parking spaces and the high prices. Recently, though, I went to a restaurant across the street and ordered the eggplant parmesean. At the other place, it was completely soggy and nasty and tasteless. I went to Santini's the next day and ordered their eggplant parmesean. Oh - so good! If I'm in the mood for it again, I'll be going to Santini's! It helps a LOT that I can walk here on a nice day and often do. My kids and the neighbor kids all like this place. The prices are still pretty high so we don't go too often. They sure aren't suffering from lack of our business, though. It's always crammed full every time we go. The line moves quickly and the food comes out fast. Consistently good taste too. Friendly staff.

I'm surprised to see only one $ on Santini's Yelp page. I'll certainly be adding one more to that because it's just false. I don't think people realize how much they're spending here because maybe they're thinking, "Oh, it's just a sandwich place." It's very easy to spend upwards of $30 here for two people just nabbing a quick lunch. The prices already start out very high for what you get, and then they nickel and dime you for every little customization you want with your meal. There also aren't combos that would normally cut into the price, so if you want a cup of chili with your sandwich, you're going to pay an arm and a leg for it. That being said, this place is always bumping for a reason. Most likely it's the nonchain, hometown feel of it. Even though it's decked out in NY sports memorabilia, it just has a very mom-and-pop feel to it. Santini's is very kid friendly and usually quite crowded on the weekends with young children coming in after soccer games and such. The food is definitely not super amazing, but it's pretty good and breaks up the monotony of a Subway. I think too many people confuse Santini's for an authentic Italian place because of its name. However, it's really just more of a glorified sandwich shop. Yeah, they sell pizza, but it's greasy, messy and not that tasty. Where Santini's really shines are its sandwiches. I personally am a huge fan of the chicken philly, which you can't find at many places. If you want a fast bite to eat and like a good selection of deli sandwiches, give Santini's a try. But don't go here if you are very hungry because it will cost you a lot of money when you could get even more good across the street at Subway for half the price. I'd recommend everyone try Santini's and see if there's something there you like that you might want to treat yourself to once in awhile. But I can't say it's an absolute must for you to check it out, and I personally won't be going here a whole lot. Note: Santini's does have a bar, but it's mostly just for sitting at to watch TV while eating. They have NOTHING on tap, just overpriced bottles.

I've tried it several times. Better pizza in the area (pomodoros, lucianos, church st). Better sandwiches in the area (Italian gourmet). If you know what you want I feel you can get it better somewhere else. Though, I will say, everything I've had has been at least good, so as a group or family the large variety can meet almost everyone's craving. As for decor, I'm from ny and while they have the sports memorabilia it doesn't feel ny. I think they could do a bit more to enhance the space if they really are trying to sell that image.

Like any deli, Santinis can be slightly hit and miss, but mostly a hit. I love the Italian sub, club, and grilled cheese. Service is fast and friendly. Prices are slightly higher than they should be, but that is ok. Great atmosphere. Perfect place to grab a bite and watch 20 minutes of a game.

Since moving to Fairfax three years ago, I have really enjoyed Santini's. They offer fresh ingredients, excellent service and a great menu variety. Sanitini's is also fairly priced with decent sized portions. I have had the pizza, fish sandwich, turkey sub, club croissant, health nut, and three cheese sub, as well as their three types of fries. Everything is always consistently good and well priced. They also have a really good selection of homemade desserts. My personal favorite is their chocolate cake cheesecake. It is rich, not too sweet and huge for sharing. Their brownies, blondies, and cookies are great, too! They draw a big crowd on the weekends and for lunch, so you know they're doing something right. The only downside is that they are sadly Giants fans in Redskins country! I suppose that ties into their NY Deli schtick.

This is a very solid casual neighborhood pizza and sub shop. It's a nice quick reasonable meal that's a very good alternative to fast food. Some of the better menu items: the thin crust NYC style pizza, the chili, chicken cheese steak, the italian sub, chicken parm sub, the santini fries(shoestrings with Old Bay). Calzones are also decent. The hot chocolate is great in the winter time with whipped cream. The salads are serviceable, but not exciting. All in all, a great place to grab to a quick bite with your buds or family.

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile (that seems to be a common theme with me :-) so decided to combine it with a quick shopping trip to the nearby Giant. I haven't had a steak and cheese in years, and since it gets high marks I decided to try one. Ordered it to go with everything except the mayo (I prefer to add my own from home, and a little Dijon mustard) and it was very good, plus not at all greasy like a typical S & C sub. I saved the other half for dinner. Being the fry freak that I am, I had to get an order of the seasoned shoestring fries. Loved those! And now I have to go back if only to order the curly fries. I'm looking forward to trying another sub or sandwich and also their salads. One thing I thought rather odd: I arrived there around 1:30 and there was ONE parking spot left. I thought the place would be packed and there would be a line. Not so. There were some empty tables and I placed my order immediately. Hmm...

One of the best sandwich shops in Northern Virginia plain and simple. The expansive menu contains a wide variety of sandwiches like the tasty corned beef, pastrami and sauerkraut filled New Yorker, the Italian deli meat filled Godfather or even a classic chicken or lamb gyro. There is sure to be a sandwich to suit whatever you're craving. In addition to a wide variety of sandwiches, Santini's also offers fresh made pizza and salads which are good though not quite as good as their sandwiches. No matter what you order, you must get either the seasoned Santini's fries or the crispy curly fries. An order of either is more than enough to share. if you're in the mood for dessert, there is an entire display case of cakes like red velvet, carrot and even strawberry shortcake. My personal favorite however would be the cannoli; a crisp shell filled with rich pastry cream and powdered sugar and only for $1.95. You'll be hard pressed to find a cannoli nearly as good at that price in the entire DMV area. Parking is limited and at lunch there is usually a line but things move quickly.

Simply not the best pizza I've had. Dough was lackluster- flat, flavorless, and not underbaked, but just white without nice brown crustiness. Not enough sauce.

Hit up Santini's with a friend on a rainy night because I've read all the rave reviews. Moderately crowded with families with kids and people getting to go orders. Got into line and ordered a steak and cheese and an Italian, two orders of curly fries (I love, love, love curly fries), and sodas. By the time we had paid, we already had our subs. Grabbed drinks and the curly fries were brought out a little later. Subs were tasty, I liked my steak and cheese. A lot. It was almost gone by the time the curly fries came out. And speaking of the curly fries... I loved those, too. it was hard to stop eating them, they were crispy, hot, and delicious. I will be back to try new things, though it will be hard to stray from my steak and cheese...

I highly recommend the Godfather sub! Three different types of meat -- Prosciutto, capicola, and genoa salami -- along with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, hot peppers and homemade italian dressing served on a toasted sub roll combine for one delicious and flavorful sub! The tasty italian dressing, generous slabs of meat and the slight kick from the hot peppers are sure to leave you satisfied!

Santini's has yummy Steak and Cheese Subs, as well as a Chicken variant of the Steak and Cheese Sub, and their Gyros and Steak fries are also very good. They have tables and chairs to sit and dine, and there is also a counter area where you can plop yourself down and watch the football game on a large wall mounted TV in glorious HD. They also offer a limited selection of wines, and beers - but mostly American beers - nothing exotic going on here. The food is uniformly good, and the food comes up very fast. I've eaten in here 3 times, and gotten subs to go several times.

This place just rocks. Great service, great food, and sports on TV. Easy in and easy out. Nobody can touch their grilled chicken (in the Caesar salad) , something about the way they slice, shred, grill in olive oil....amazing! My kids and husband love all their subs, sandwiches and pizza! When my dad is in town he gets the liver wurst!

YES!! YES!! YES!!!! I am soooo glad the wife saw this place and suggested we stop there for lunch after my haircut and before heading out to Fair Oaks/Fair Lakes for some shopping. This place is AWESOME!! This is as close to a decent NY Deli that I have found in this area and the food is amazing! The pizza they serve is the absolute closest I have found to the ma and pa style Italian places I grew up eating at back home in the Lehigh Valley of PA. This is pretty darn good NY style pizza. Love. It. The deli sandwiches are amazing also. I love the New Yorker with the corned beef and pastrami, the melted provolone and the cole slaw piled on top of it. Nom!!! The Godfather is also a wonderful sandwich with all of the tasty sliced Italian meats. O...M...G... sooooo good. Overall this place is just AWESOME!! You MUST go here and try the food. I order you... get going... now!!

I wish I could say I was impressed when I went to Santini's but I wasn't. This place is exactly what one would expect - which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Over the few times that I've been I tired a few different items from sandwich to pizza, and I'd say it's good but not great. However, there are not many places at all (at least in this area) that can claim to be a NY style deli, so if you're in the mood for that type of fare definitely check this place out.

  • Bobby R.

This place is a Kit Kat when you were craving chocolate covered cheesecake...it fills the need, but leaves you feeling like you missed out. The owner never remembers me, which is bad for a local joint and, no, Hidden Creek isn't really a country club. The food is not at all authentic New York, but that said, it's not too bad. The best parts are the huge TVs, the NY atmosphere, and that I can ride my bike there. Do NOT speed past this place; I think cops get free food or something...they are parked here more than the Dunkin' Donuts up the street.

I like Santini's but I wasn't terribly impressed with the sandwich I selected (the chicken parm sandwich). However, with plenty of other sandwich options, salads, pizzas and calzones, I'm willing to say that I chose wrong and that a 2nd visit is necessary. The space is cute - lots of tables, TVs and interesting paintings about the place. The service is fast and friendly. If I lived closeby, it's possible I'd frequent this place often.

I dont make it to this place enough unfortunately! I kind of forget about---not that its not good but simply because i try to avoid going that direction on Maple Avenue. Their fresh deli sandwiches are AWESOME, the bread is fresh (many different types to choose from!) and the deli-meat is always fresh. I havent tried the pizza myself but I have heard it is delicious. They have a VARIETY of options on the menu that are perfect for lunch. Their waffle fries are to DIE FOR, very crispy and not overly salted. It is order yourself (sort of like Subway) and the people working will bring the food to you. Other than that its really serve yourself (drinks, condiments etc.) The staff is always friendly. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is laid back for a nice relaxing feel.

A solid 4 stars.... I like this place. I've been to lunch here a few times now. Their calzones are amazing, very good. I've had two different kinds of their calzones - the santini calzone and deli calzone - both were very good and they make a full meal. The sides/appetizers are pretty good too (pretty much standard fare). Today our office of 15 went to lunch here and it was great, we brought back cannolis to the office for dessert (yum yum dee lish). My only complaint is that it can be a bit on the pricey side for a deli. There usually is a line at lunch time so be prepared to wait. A big plus is they have outdoor dining here too. Today the co-workers and I soaked up the Sun and had a great lunch. If you work in the area, this is a can't miss place for lunch!

This week's find is Santini's, a great deli located in the Oakton/Vienna area. It definitely doesn't look like much from the outside, but walk in and you'll be greeted with a comfortable, family-friendly space that makes for an awfully pleasant lunch space. I had the Godfather sandwich, which was a pile of meats and cheeses covered in Italian dressing; my girlfriend had the pastrami sandwich which was maybe even more delightful. Prices were reasonable, with two sandwiches and one fountain soda clocking out at about 16 bucks. The joint seemed to be regular-friendly, but still didn't make a new patron as clueless as myself feel all too uncomfortable, which I always appreciate. Definitely, at Santini's, anyone's welcome to walk right in and enjoy a delicious lunch special. Next time I'm here, I have my sights set on a calzone...

Food: Great Location: Excellent Service: Great Recommend: Yes Before I start my review I just want to clarify that this place is walking distance from my home and despite that + all the awesome reviews for this place, it still took me over a year to finally see what all the hype was all about. I've thus far only tried the Santini calzone but boy was I in for a surprised treat. Lots of Yelpers commented that their calzones are the stuff of legend and they weren't kidding. This is one hefty calzone that I think would definitely satisfy a man's hunger. I managed to scarf the whole thing down myself because it was JUST. THAT. GOOD. Too much so that I quickly had to redefine the meaning of stuffed (in a good way)! The staff were all very friendly, patient and helpful enough with my order (there were a lot of things on the menu that sounded pretty good and I was as usual being indecisive). Both the interior and patio area were kept clean and neat. The restaurant has a huge sign right outside so it's hard to miss coming from either direction on Chain Bridge Road. I'm also biased again to the fact that it's walking distance for me. I can work up an appetite walking to it, and then burn a few calories off walking home :) It lost a star because although it's a deli, it doesn't have the price of one. Other than that, I would still highly recommend this local eatery.

One of my offices is in Oakton, and I quickly found that the immediate area surrounding my building is devoid of good lunch options. Sure, there's a Jerry's and a McDonalds and a putrid CalTort, but I was starting to get really depressed about the local restaurants. I had driven by Santini's, non descript looking deli on Chain Bridge Rd. several times but never thought of stopping in for some reason. I saw a menu hanging in the lunch room and decided to give it a try. After all, after a recent trip to Philadelphia, I was craving a non-Jerry's cheesesteak. Santini's is pretty nice inside, and features a counter to eat at with a large plasma with ESPN on. It would be a good place for the solo eater to go. I ordered the Bogey sandwich, which was basically a cheesesteak with hot peppers and marinara. It took about 10 minutes for the sandwich to get prepared and I took it back to my office. It was very tasty, and a huge portion. The steak was good, clearly fresh and not frozen Steak-umms. It was spicy and the marinara was tasty on it. It was a little pricey, but at least it was tasty. On a subsequent visit, I tried the Jersey Boy. I was much less impressed with this. The roast beef was chewy and the mayo was not to my taste. On the whole, the Jersey Boy sandwich tasted about as appetizing as the water in the Hackensack River. I'd stick with the steak-related sandwiches. Santini's offers a wide variety of beverages, and also has Italian desserts like Cannolis, although I haven't had a chance to try them. It gets busy at lunch, and since most items are made fresh, be sure to block off enough time for a lunch trip here, even if you're getting it to go. All in all, one of the better options in the devoid of good eating Oakton area.

Get the calzone, avoid the cheesesteak. The dough on the calzone is so good. Yeasty, soft, fluffy and almost brioche-like. Fillings are good, and the sauce is decent. Cheesesteaks, on the other hand, leave something to be desired. No good beef flavor, sauteed onions were minuscule and played no part in flavor. I've had better steak subs from a mall to be honest. Italian sausage and peppers sandwich was pretty good. Almost insanely good I would say. This place has a nice local feel, and is very clean. There are always Fairfax County cops hanging out here, so you know the food is good. There is indeed an HD tv, and the service is decent but not the best.

My family always orders pizza and salads here. The Chicken Caesar Salad is actually really good - the chicken is seasoned and I liked the spicy flavor. We always order pepperoni pizza, and sometimes we get pineapple and pepperoni on another. Just overall well done! Reheats great in the oven.

Our friends from Virginia took us here. I had an Italian sub. It was ok, but I'm from Texas and we don't have very good deli there. I was hoping for more. It was at best mediocre.

We have lunched here several times and I just cannot go back. The food is tasty. Our attendant was busy sticking his hands in the fries and eating them while waiting on us, making our sancwiches, talking to the crew, etc. Of couse, my sandwich was not as requested, as he gave it no attention. The place was filthy. I always check other reviews and am amazed at all the five stars. Guess I should try the pizza.

This place is the best. Always been my number 1 place for steak and cheese, chicken philly, the new yorker, and their gyro. Its pretty fucking fantastic. It is pricey for a sandwich, but my investment to go into a consistent and quick turnaround shop. Its pretty awesome! This is my second review also cause its that awesome!

Satntini's is overrated and overpriced for what it is. Their sandwiches are just okay. I've had a few of them and never been too impressed. However, I do really enjoy their calzones. All of them are good and they're enormous. They also have a huge selection of desserts. I've never gotten around to trying them, but they look very good.

First time there with a friend who recommended it. he ordered the club sandwich with chicken and it looked delightful....I got some sandwich named for the mafioso, it wasnt bad and with some fries. the fries were ok, a little large it has many choices for sandwiches and calzones and was packed with people, sports memorabilia....and all the tables outside were taken expect to spend around 8 dollars for the calzones and sandwiches, will return to try more things on the menu beware, this place is popular with the locals

I love this place. The pizza is decent. but the Italian Sub is perfection! Melting tender cold cuts and cheese, and painfully spicy!! The bread on the sub is that crisp, tender yeasty yumminess. Glad it's so close.

I live across the street from this place so when I'm feeling lazy to cook or drive somewhere else to go eat I visit here. The deli food is above average but nothing to really rave about. I have tried all the subs and my favorite by far is the Sicilian. The only soup I ever get from here is the chili which is extremely meaty which I like. However the last few times I have had it the soup has been extremely salty to the point where towards the bottom of my bowl/cup I have to drink a sip of water after every bite. The only thing that really draws me to this place everytime is their desserts. Between the cannolis and the various cakes/pies they have it makes me feel like a glutton because I always have to get atleast 2 desserts. The decor is all decked out in New York stuff so if you live in New York or like the sports teams from there then this place is for you. They have flags and banners for every sports team from that state. As you are waiting for your food you can grab a nice cold beer and drink it while watching sports on their very large TV behind the bar. Also their beer selection is very nice.

Finally went there yesterday after my friend raved about their subs. I ordered a Prosciutto sub with their spicy fries. I LOVE prosciutto so needless to say, I LOVE THIS SUB! The spicy fries make the meal a little too salty but it was still delicious. Definitely big enough for the "small" sub for me so I had to take the rest home. My BF ate it for a snack and also loved it. I told him my coworker ordered the steak and cheese and said it was amazing... and so here we go to Santini's for dinner too. LOL. He got the steak and cheese with everything and I ordered the Godfather. Both large with a side of steak fries. We were NOT disappointed! The peppers in both subs made it! Can't wait to try the other stuff.... Just wish they had prosciutto pizza! Pricing wasn't too bad either! Mouth is watering as I'm reminiscing! =)

They make some excellent sandwiches. Very much like a New York deli as the name states.

Ok, if you've spent a lot of time frequenting delis in the NYC area and you try to compare what you've experienced in NYC to Santini's you may be a little disappointed. BUT, compared to other sandwich shops in the area, this place is great. I came here for lunch with some co-workers a few weeks ago and have been back at least three times since. I don't think you can find better pastrimi around DC and definitely not in NOVA. The steak and cheese sandwich is yummy too! I haven't had their pizza yet because their sandwiches are just so good but I definitely plan on going back for a pizza tasting very soon.

Don't judge a book by its cover. I was hesitant to eat something here but when I tried their pizza and a calzone, I said "Hey! Not bad!" I would come here time to time. It gets busy during dinner hours.

Drove by it so many times and finally went in today. It is so nice in there and the steak and cheese sub with everything was so f'n good. I can't wait to try everything in there, especially the calzone which everyone talks about. I plan on gaining 10 lbs from this place.

This place is as awesome as it gets! None of the food is pre-packaged, everything's fresh cut. No processed gray-matter meat, which is so nice for a change! The food is reasonably priced and the service is quick. It's a great hole-in-the-wall deli and they've made me a loyal customer. I'll take Santini's over chain restaurants any day.

It's too bad that this is what passes for good deli in NoVA. The bread was good but there was nothing on the sub. Ordered the Jersey Boy and my wife got the Steak and Cheese. Was just slightly better than a Subway sandwich. Kinda pricy for what we got I thought. I may give them another shot but anytime soon.

Luciano's is very strange. You walk in and there are these cheesy new york posters and memorabilia all on the walls. They don't look like a typical New York deli, but they are trying very hard. Still, it does give that certain feel, which one doesn't normally feel in the VA. Then you quickly notice this place is all about good deli food. Several fridges filled with beverages. Several cases of chips. 15 foot wide menu. Desserts, cake, canoli. There is even a bar with a large HD flatscreen showing sports all the time. Tables for everyone to sit and often families in their eating. I have seen people order everything and anything in there. Chili Dogs, Cheese Fries, Pizza, Hoagie, Salad, Calzones. Me, i go to this place for the calzones. They are some of the best I have ever had. No particular one is my favorite either, all depends on my mood. Call ahead though cause they make it when you order (takes about 15 mins). Comes with large marinara and lots of goodness. Gonna go get one now :)

First time coming here and I liked the ambiance and the food. I had the Sicilian and it was pretty good! I will definitely come back if I'm in the area and try some different menu items.

I've been going to Santini's since it was Jimmy G's in Sterling - yeah, that's a long time. It's their bread, I tell you. They deliver consistently delicious sandwiches, pizza and calzones (haven't tried their breakfast, but I hear it's good) and you're always in and out in a flash. Even when it's super-busy, they're good about getting the line moving quickly, clearing tables and making sure everyone has a good experience. Really doesn't get better than this in NoVA.

Its an excellent deli relative to the areas that Santini's is located. A very high level of consistency for the food, service quality is good, and the food is excellent. Their menu is vast, and their calzones and sandwiches are generally good. There is a good volume to their pizza slices; though I find their pizzas to be slightly oily. But relative to their pricing, I don't see why you would go to another deli in the area.

I've passed by this place numerous times especially since I use the driving range at Oak Marr from time to time. The thought of anything that says New York in the title makes me cringe. Just check my New York reviews. I got myself a New Yorker sandwich. Yes, I'm well aware that I ordered a sandwich with a name that makes me cringe. In my defense, it had corned beef, pastrami, and provolone with cole slaw and Russian dressing on rye bread. It was a tasty sandwich but the main problem I had with it was that it was tiny. For 7 dollars, I expect to eat a sandwich that will fill me up. This did not put a dent in the bottomless void I call my stomach. The service is basic deli counter service. They had a pretty nice HD tv over the counter seating. I'll probably be back to try one of their subs. Hopefully it will be more satisfying than their sandwiches.

Ordered take out from here twice. First time no issues, but on the second order, they left out a cheesesteak - that we paid extra for. We discovered the "miss" when we got home, but we didn't want to drive back to get it as it would have taken 1/2 an hour to get it and get back. After a short phone call, they reversed the credit card charge for the sandwich. I was skeptical, but sure enough they reversed the entire bill. I was pleasantly surprised. And, based on this customer service, I plan to go back - but we will check our order more carefully when we pick up. Regarding the food, the chicken cheesteak (1st order) was very good and juicy. The chef salads that we got both times were also very hefty and chock full of greens and meats. The Italian sandwich was good also. All in all, the food was good, and hit the spot for us.
