I am almost at a loss for words after coming out of this place. A friend and I went in because we saw the seafood sign, and it was new, so we figured, let's try this out. Immediately upon entering, we were confused. There were very conflicting themes going on in this place.. It looks like a bar, has signs about great BBQ with pigs, but serves fried seafood! What!?! To make things worse, the menus are printed in a basic Chinese food format, complete with all the grammatical errors one would expect. In addition to the 6 page menu, there was a bulletin board with a lot of other stuff you could order, a small sign that read "any noodle, just ask" and a long list of specials that were hand-written next to the register. The waitress could bearly speak English, but did get our orders. The food was very quick to come out... almost as if they were reheated in the microwave quick. Although the food didn't taste bad, presentation was non-existent. Food was literally thrown on a 3rd grade lunch-style throw away tray and handed to us. We had to ask for almost everything... forks, ketchup... (ketchup was brought to us in what appeared to be the communal monstrosity of a giant squeegee bottle)... The portions were very small. I ordered the fried shrimp and got 6 small pieces of shrimp and what would be equivalent to 1/2 of a small french fries at McDonald's for $6. Needless to say, I won't be going back.

Nothing to write home about, but I'll share it on yelp. I had lunch in here last month with fellow Yelper Lance F. and a co-worker. We had really been looking forward to it. The place is a bit of a dive, however it's cleaned up from the last proprietors who ran Brickhouse Pizza here. After looking over the menu our server came over and she was struggling with English to say the least. Bless her, she's in a tough spot. I decided to go with a chicken cheesesteak, which comes with fries, and some home made hush puppies. Then we waited... Eventually our food started to arrive. Everyone's entree arrived at the table in to-go containers. The appearance of the food also left a little to be desired in my opinion. The chicken had just been kinda tossed in the bread and American cheese had been used instead of the provolone I asked for. My sandwich roll was also a little on the tough side, not stale, but it would have soon. In addition the fries were semi cold, it had been a bit since they were cooked and they obviously hadn't been under a heat lamp. I gather appearance of the product isn't really a big thing here. I personally never would have served something looking like this or in these containers. BTW, I never received my hush puppies. I can see by Lances review that he felt pretty much the same as I did. My co-worker also had basically a frozen fish stick as a sandwich. Pretty weak. My sandwich was decent tasting, the chicken fully cooked etc... However King's needs to work on their organization which they were really struggling with that day. Presentation of the product would help too and trying something like using disposable plates rather than Styrofoam to-go containers. I'll wait a bit and give them another try, provided they're still open. We'll see.

This place took over a pizza restaurant that went out of business and since it's close to work, I had been keeping an eye on it to give it a try once opened. It recently opened and I went over to check it out with a fellow yelper and his colleague. I think I would like to try it again for something different but for a first impression, there was a alot to be desired. The place itself has maybe 6-8 booths, a few tables, and a bar area. It isn't big but when we visited on this day there were a few tables occupied. We took awhile to browse the menu which, as the name would imply, is heavy on seafood. We had hoped for more chicken and BBQ, also listed on the sign, but it was definitely a seafood place first. I went with the Philly cheesesteak with fries as my meal (picture provided for those interested). First off, the wait for the sandwiches was fairly long. Nothing to get terribly upset about but definitely longer than it should have taken. The sandwich, when it arrived, looked decent but the first problem was the cheese. It was not melted at all. They threw cold cheese on the sandwich at the end and that just isn't right on any hot sandwich (IMO) but particularly a Philly. The steak was not bad but the bread was not very fresh, it didn't seem. The ends were hard and the bread was served cold, as well. Don't get me wrong, I ate the whole thing but it definitely was meh. The fries were decent and the service was only OK. If I return, it won't be to get that dish again. I may go back to try again at some point. Since it's new, perhaps they are working out some kinks to start. So, I may venture over for some chicken and hush puppies, which they said are home made in house. As of now, however, I can't recommend this place based on this single experience. We'll see how things go next time.

This is a local joint for us that we've been wanting to try for awhile, and the great snowapocalypse of 2014 finally gave us that opportunity. There's not much to say about Kings, you get what you pay for. Cheap, fried seafood that tastes decent. The seafood certainly isn't the finest quality, but what can you expect when most of the dinners are under 7 bucks. Out of all the food, the hush puppies were by far the best. I might stop by just for them. Service was nice, warm and friendly throughout the meal.

Great food, especially when you factor in the low price. For a cheap seafood meal, you can't do better.
