An absolutely fantastic little B&B! This is the perfect romantic getaway! It's conveniently located a few miles outside of Luray, set against the idyllic backdrop of a mountain landscape. It's near several hiking trails and there are a number of decent restaurants in the vicinity for dinner. We had a great time in the hot tub, hammock, and roasting marshmellows for smores at night. Betsy (filled in for the normal proprietor, who was on vacation) was wonderful. Very easy going and patient about a late check-in. Breakfast was great and we had a fun time getting to know the other guests. The rooms were beautifully decorated as well. We stayed in the "Princess on a Pea" suite, which I thought might be a little too "feminine" for my fiance given the title, but it was great! P.S. Do NOT go to Uncle Bucks for dinner!! (That was our only mistake and to the B&B's credit, it was NOT one of the restaurants recommended by Betsy!)
We stayed at her log cabin on 2/8-2/9/14. The drive, view, service and Christa and her dog, Willie, went beyond their means to assist us. The room was facing the mountains, so waking up to such a view made it worth while. Christa cooked dinner for us (pampered) and followed it up with a breakfast to remember. Thanks Christa. My husband and I are having a wedding reception in Luray in June. We took a little trip there a couple of weeks ago to "scout Bed and Breakfasts" and try caterers. We lucked into Once Upon a Mountain and LOVED it. The house and property were BEAUTIFUL. Think: sitting in a hot tub with a glass of champagne and watching the sunset. Betsy was so friendly and so helpful. She gave us SO many tips to help us plan fun activities and provide nice housing for our friends and family. I'd highly suggest this place! I'd also highlight that I am not a BnB person and the fact that I loved this place says a lot.

The best Taco Bell in the Valley by far! Great friendly employees, clean facility. I ask for subs on different things since I eat plant based and they are always wonderful on doing so.
It's a Taco Bell and serves the standard Taco Bell fare. That being said, the staff I've met are always friendly and the food comes out pretty good. I've never had an incorrect order or missing items. I like the Dorito tacos and we usually get the taco pack. A great place to get a quick bite to eat.

Emily was our waitress! She was awesome and our rib-eyes were great USDA choice cooked too order. We enjoyed the evening except the kitchen was backed up which lost the fifth star
Food was amazing. Service was spectacular. I could not have been happier. We stopped here while on vacation because it looked quaint and the yelp reviews seem to be good. But I was so blown away with how nice the waitress was. If we lived closer this would totally be a regular spot for us.
After seeing all the pretty grazing cows by the side of the road, I was naturally in the mood for a good steak! Dan's did not disappoint. Delicious steak, not fancy but perfectly prepared (I had medium rare). And the coconut cream pie is one the best things I've ever had. Huge portions. Tasty fries. Just about everything else is only okay but the overall place is completely charming and the servers lovely. Seems like a place for locals. I highly recommend it as a stopover. Seriously good beef. (And pie.)

Went a number if times on vacation. The staff were always very friendly. They were slightly inconsistent in what came with various menu items but it was always in providing extra free food rather than lacking in quality. The recommendations we received were spot on. The food was exactly what you would expect when walking into the place.
Stopped in for a late lunch on a very busy Saturday. Great menu, food was very good as were the prices. The staff was extremely busy but handled it well and still managed to be friendly while keeping up with all the customers. Nice place to stop with the family while visiting the local attractions.
We've stopped by a few times and the food is pretty good. Service is hit or miss. There were times we were seated and were able to order shortly after and then there were times it took 20-30 minutes even when there were only a few tables seated. They do have some items on the menu that no other place around does. Sometimes the food comes out cold, missing an item or after a long wait but overall it's fairly good. If the service level were to improve I'd give more stars.

Service was great! Food was ok. I got pork BBQ. I'm pretty sure it came from Sam's Club.
