Chiando's just opened Monday 3/26/07. They are still training their employees, and have a sign posted which states this and apologizes for any inconveniences. Which, there were. The food took 45 minutes to prepare, despite us being told it would take 10 minutes and being nearly the only people in the restaurant. Some of the food was actually microwaved and still took that long! The quality of the food was OK - the chicken was decent, the rice not so much. Almost everyone's meal was delivered with something missing -- a side, salad dressing, came with the wrong side, etc. The portions were on the small side, and the prices were on the high side ($10-$12 for fast food chicken is a bit much). I would say Pollo Inka on Eldon St is a much better bet for the same kind of food, at least until they get their act together. I would not recommend going, unless you treat it as a test kitchen with "cooks in training" (which was how the manager described it to me) and set your expectations accordingly low.
