I've been here several times and have also utilized their delivery service.( A+ for service) The food has always been of good quality but it is on the safe side in regards to spices. (A for food quality, C+-B for spices) My wife and children love the food and it's a good place to take a family. (A- for family dining, A for a date and A- for business lunch) This is a great place for 95% of people but those who are looking for crazy authentic or really spicy will ask for more. I would highly recommend Pan Asian for families, groups and people who want to try a variety of Asian taste in a safe (spice wise) environment.

I went here this evening for dinner. As the name of the restaurant suggests, they specialize in food from all of Asia, not choosing to focus on any one country. As such, they have a fairly diverse menu. I was surprised, for example, to see selections from Taiwan, Singapore, and Korea which are typically missed by Asian fusion places. Of course not all of the countries are sampled well. For example, the choice of sushi from Japan was limited to American-style rolls, though they did have Udon and Gyoza. I ultimately had the Seafood Spice Noodle Soup which was labeled as a Korean specialty. "Spice", was unfortunately a misnomer as any intended heat failed to register. The soup consisted of a red broth with vermicelli noodles and a selection of seafood including squid, mussels, shrimp, and scallops. The squid was rubbery which means the soup was not cooked long enough. Similarly, there were only 2 thinly sliced scallops in the entire dish. The price point of $9.95 may explain the latter observation. The shrimp were good and the mussels were actually pretty good, maintaining a taste of the sea which is very desirable in a soup. In all, I wish the soup was better seasoned with more intricate and bolder flavors. Careful observations aside, I did manage to eat almost of all it, and it was enjoyable. The restaurant is simply appointed but not in an uninspiring way and the waitstaff were friendly and helpful. Overall 3.25 stars.

Yah, the menu online is sorta different from the menu they have printed for you to keep. The printed one has lunch specials and some other stuff like their most popular dishes (I think). Pad thai - everyone raves about it. It's quite good. Lots of sauce. Not the BEST I've had but probably the best in Fredericksburg. Massaman curry - SOOOO good. No potato in it though. Green beans. Lots of flavor in the sauce. Thai style fried rice - pretty good. Not available on the lunch specials menu. Only regular fried rice is available.

Sorry, this place has closed. The friendly family that ran Pan Asian has opened Asian Diner Restaurant (sic) in Southpoint II where Pho Huy used to be.

Pan Asian is one of our favorite resturants. The menu is from all over Asia, not just Chinese. The food is delicious and well prepared. The service is #1 with friendly wait staff. The owners run the place, with the husband cooking and the wife running the front of the resturant.

We've been meaning to try this place for a while, and finally got around to it last night. We went in and ordered our food to come back later and pick up. The hostess was very friendly, and the inside looked nice enough. It was too quiet, though, to eat in with our 3-year old, so I think we made a good decision to take the food home. We got 2 of the house salads with ginger dressing, then I got some vegetable gyoza (fried dumplings), Pad Thai (veggie version), and hubby got some miso soup and a spicy noodle dish (can't remember the name of it). It's weird, but when we were looking for their menu ahead of time, we found one online, and then we actually had a paper one, and they had different items on each. So when we go in to order and look at their menu, IT'S different too! They need to get rid of all the different versions floating around and make one correct menu. Anyway, the food was good. It wasn't the best Pad Thai I've had, but it was ok. It's nice to have a place that offers lots of different stuff.
