I've eaten at the Salsaritas in Knoxville a million times and love it so when I was passing through Bristol on a road trip I decided to stop at the one there. WORST experience ever. This restaurant is filthy. Everything is sticky. The floors. The tables. And then we got our food...the guac was brown and had large chunks of the avacado peel still in it. The service was mediocre at best. I regret eating here and hope that the health department puts them out of business.

Worse salsaritas I've ever had!! Cold chicken, out of rice and wouldn't make more because they closed in 45 minutes, cold chips, no napkins in containers, food on tables and floor. This place is disgusting!! and staff obviously aggravated because they closed at 9 and people coming in after 8 so they would give silent attitude looking at you like what do you want?? Will never go back to this location.

Walked in, read menu, appeared reasonable prices, THEN looked around! THE FILTHIEST RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER SEEN. I have eaten dirt floor restaurants in India, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand and MANY other places that were far cleaner. The place didn't look like it had been swept in well over a week. Paper on the floor, chunks of new and old food, old napkins, food on the tables....yes, plural! On the seats, virtually EVERYWHERE. If I had been the food inspector, I would have shut their doors PERMANENTLY! m

Horrible. The floors were sticky. Tables and chairs were disgusting. The lady taking my order was wearing sweatpants that had holes in them and the other other employees looked like they hadn't showered in days. Dust everywhere and to top it off the trays they gave us to carry our food smelled like a dirty bath towel that hadn't been washed in months. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

We eat here often, but last night's meal was probably our last. The restaurant was unkempt (sticky tables, trash all over the food prep area, Napkins and straws were not stocked), the food was nowhere close to fresh, the steak in my burrito was so fatty, I threw it away after 2 bites. My husband's burrito fell apart after his first bute. My son's cheese quesadilla had burnt bits of food stuck to it because the machine probably hadn't been cleaned since sometime in 2009. The chips were stale. The queso was thick - not good thick- like a week old thick. We just threw it all away and went somewhere else to eat so we wouldn't get sick. I understand restaurant's have tough night's, but our experience over the last few visits at this location is that the place is going down hill. No matter what time of day or day of the week, last night's visit is the norm at the Bristol, VA Location, not the exception.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
