Came here this morning for breakfast. Ordered the western omelette made with organic eggs. I can honestly say I've never had one much better than this. It is ham, onion, organic salsa, jalapeños and cheese. While it would have been interesting for the jalapeños to have been fresh instead of pickled, it tasted amazing as it was. As my side I got the breakfast sausage. I eat a fairly low sodium diet so the patty was a little too salty for my tastes but it was a good tasting patty. The decor is homey and the employees were friendly. The payment system of ordering, eating, then paying at the counter is not really that different from many a small town diner and the place was not terribly busy so this oddity was not an issue at all for me, but the prospect of waiting in line twice when it's busy might be a bit of a pain to some. Solid place. Would recommend and come again.

What a little gem! Everything on the sparse menu struck me as thoughtfully curated- and when it came to the table, deliciously prepared. I knew it was a good sign when I placed my order, I was asked many questions about the particular details of how I wanted my dish prepared. This is the kind of place that nails those little details often overlooked, and gets the big stuff right, too. Everything was delicious, and the coffee is excellent (as was relayed to me by my dining companions). I make occasional business trips to this area, so I'll be returning at every possible opportunity.

This is totally my type of joint and I've been looking for places like this since I've been back home from Richmond (where there are plenty of local, hipster shops) and stumbled upon this cute cafe for Saturday brunch. The Garden Variety Omelette was plenty of food and the side of potatoes were excellent. The Belgian Waffles were delicious too (comes with either bacon or sausages on the side). The Smoked Salmon breakfast sandwich was just okay but that might be because I prefer raw salmon much more than smoked ones. The ordering process is a bit confusing though, because you order at the counter, grab a table, then have to return to the counter to pay at the end of the meal. All in all, the 3 of us were very pleased with the food and the ambience.

30 minutes for 2 bagels?!?! Absolutely ridiculous and on top of that, they weren't very good. I am furious they even charged us for such poor service. We will never be back here. There were at least 3 other families that had the same issue while we were there.

Great and friendly staff. Self serve with the coffee and water so it's more like a bistro shop to me, but the food was very fresh and good. Great options for different meal flavor and juices. Will definitely be back.

Super cute little mom and pop breakfast and coffee shop eatery with fresh organic ingredients. They serve breakfast all day and are known for their juices. We ordered breakfast sandwiches (smoked salmon and bacon egg and cheese) everything was really fresh! Great customer service. We shall return!

We visited this amazing gem for breakfast and what a delight ! The shop is adorable and the food is probably the best breakfast/brunch we have had in all of NOVA. Keep up the good work guys , we can't wait to come back! One suggestion - for drinks that will be enjoyed while in , perhaps they should be served in glass cups to be more environmentally friendly ? Just a thought !

Almost a 3 stars but I had to bring it to a 2 FOOD: Definitely needs some help. I understand all is organic, etc... but my chicken sandwich lacked the chicken... probably one of the smallest pieces of chicken. The flat bread was not very fresh but it held the contents. As for our other dish it had ingredients that were not on the menu... very odd. OVERALL: Pricey for the poor quality of food. I love the concept and it appears they satisfy most.

Don't get the mean grean "juice". It tastes like cucumber water and costs 5 bucks! The latte's aren't great either. Overall, nice location, nice staff, lovely food.

First time here and it was worth the trip. I had the chicken soup, organic burger, and cream cheese bagel. Burger was very good. Chicken soup was also good. The bagel was a bagel...you really cant mess up a bagel. I will come next time to try the brunch/breakfast menu. I would recommend this place. The service is a little on the slow side but who wants to a eat microwaved fast food that is not healthy?

Had to try this place with all the Yelp love it was getting so we headed over there for Sunday brunch. The place is tucked away in a strip mall type location with a nondescript sign bearing it's name. It was fairly busy although we were handed menus promptly. The staff seemed friendly as well. The ambience is ok, clean but a little drab. They have a bunch of board games that you can take to your table to play that did give it a cozy feeling. There's a small patio with a few tables outside but the weather wasn't suitable. The ordering process is interesting: you wait in line to order, then grab a table while they prep your food, food is delivered to your table, you finish your meal and then get back in line to pay. This is even stranger considering they have checkout via an iPad if you're paying by credit card. (Where's the sense in this process?) Anyway on to the food. We ordered the Ashburn breakfast (croissant/egg/cheese sandwich) and a Belgian waffle. The wife ordered a side power smoothie while mine came with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Everything on the menu is set, and it seems like you pay extra for any small change you want to make the the dish. I asked if the sausage could be swapped (read substituted not added) with something else and I was told it would be extra. We felt both food items were absolutely average. The croissant + egg on my sandwich was good but the sausage tasted like it was straight out of a package. The waffle was decent but the best part of that dish was the side of bacon. The special smoothie was interesting but came in a pretty small cup for which we paid an obscene $5. Seriously? My orange juice was actually great, but same size as the smoothie. Total damage for two plates + two cups of juice: $30. It's not so much that the food was bad but considering how crazy overpriced the menu is, I give it 2 stars. Doubt I'll ever go back.

OK - if you are vegetarian/vegan, you'll find nothing mind blowing. Their veggie wrap was pretty good, asked to swap out dairy sauce for hummus, but they forgot so the wrap came out to be a bit bland and dry. Ended up adding my own hummus at home. Fresh juice is nice and I appreciate the 'organic' attempt.

Finally got a chance to visit this place and sadly it was disappointing. Located right across the fire station on Ashburn Road, I have been eyeing this place for a while. The menu is small so its a bit easier to decide. I decided on the turkey bacon sandwich with the mixed green salad and a chocolate chip cookie. The turkey sandwich was ok, not much turkey and the bacon was almost burnt. The salad was old, brown and soggy. This is what threw me off the most because they are suppose to be fresh and organic. The salad was gross, I had to throw it away after just looking at it. The chocolate chip cookie was for sure not fresh. It was very hard and it tasted old and a bit stale. I was not happy with that either so I threw it away. I might go back to try something different but I don't want to waste another $12 for some old food. Extremely dissappointed. Not sure if it was a bad day or just different cooks this day but I am scared to go back if this is how the food is.

The Cafe Cubano is excellent. I love that the owner came to our table to talk to us. Very nice guy. Friendly staff. Dying to come back for their food soon.

I really like this concept, and eclectic feel. I'm a sucker for their waffle too! YUM! My only issues are, the communication about your order is somewhat lost in translation. Both times I ordered maple syrup and got regular syrup and didn't feel like being "that one" in my group with an issue, so just kept quiet. But really, I go because I'm craving a waffle with real maple syrup...also, I know it's organic, but $14 for a waffle and sausage (and maple syrup) with no fruit just seems overpriced. All of this I got over, because honestly, I love a waffle!!! But this last time I went in, I had an iced coffee. I asked for a refill and was told they don't do iced coffee refills. That was really frustrating. When you pay $3 or so for an iced coffee (not latte/specialty drink) why do you not offer refills? Or at least a discounted refill? It's coffee that's been cooled, so I don't get it. I feel like they really should take a look at that and see that some things, like that are simply good for business. I've never been somewhere that you can't get a refill on regular coffee or iced coffee. Starbucks charges about $0.50 for any size refill, or free if you have their card. I want to support LOCAL and ORGANIC as much as possible, but that was totally frustrating because their "large" was maybe 16 oz. but had a lot of ice, so very little coffee there. Had to then go to Starbucks to get a decent sized ice coffee. I totally get not offering refill on lattes, etc. but iced coffee is just crazy.

Turns out this little joint is pretty great! I'll have to go back and try the breakfast sometime (although they serve it all day long) to see if it's as good as everyone says, but I can confirm the lunch options are tasty. I had the black bean wrap (for some reason I find that I want to eat vegetarian a lot lately), which had an array of veggies, hummus, feta, etc., on it. It's not loose black beans but instead a black bean patty that goes on it. I'm a fan! The service was good and the staff is friendly. The inside is clean, although it's very small -- if it gets busy at all I could see it feeling very loud and cramped. But it was quiet when I went, and I found a table easily. The tables have decks of cards on them also, so you can brush up on your Rummy skills while you're there. Also seems like a great place for tea time! I had some China green tea, and it comes in an awesome little potion bottle (I'll upload a pic). Also of note: They have a juice menu, or you can create your own juice out of a pretty exhaustive list of fruits and veggies! The only downside is that the non-breakfast and sides menu is very limited, but what's there sounds pretty good. I do recommend you get a side with your wrap, as they aren't super big.

I have been here a few times with various friends & family. I love the atmosphere. There are interactive games (ping pong, decks of cards, cornhole, etc.) which I love because it keeps conversation going in this generation of being so attached to our phones. The owners are very friendly & we're very accommodating when I asked them to make an exception on the children's menu. I love that the owners are even there & a part of their business. It's a very unique spot for the suburban wasteland of Ashburn, Virginia. And the food/coffee has been tasty, fresh, & hot every time I've gone. The reason(s) for three stars is based on a few things: 1) while the owners are very friendly & accommodating, the rest of the staff don't speak English. It's difficult to communicate an order with simple, special requests (example:: The very same kids menu accommodation that the owner had previously honored, the next time I went in & requested the same thing for the kids I babysit, the cashier didn't even understand what I was asking, & rather than trying to find out, just said no), or much else beyond simple menu items. 2) the prices for food are ridiculous. I can justify spending money on good coffee & fresh juice, but $13 for two eggs, sausage & toast? $9 for TWO pancakes?? It's a bit steep. Especially since the last time I was there, I ordered (for the second time, because it's delicious) the Cowboy - they completely skimped on the avocado. The food is delicious, but to charge those prices you better be offering something more. 3) lastly, the setup they have for ordering & paying is very awkward & counterintuitive. You order at the counter, (you don't pay yet), they serve you at your table, you get your own water, they bring you your food & clear your plates, then you go back to the counter (which means waiting in line twice to do something you could have done the first time) to pay. It's really awkward. Either make it sit-down service, or counter service, but both really makes it confusing as most restaurants don't work that way.

People were very nice but my food was not :(. I ordered smoked salmon eggs benedict. Eggs were under-cooked on the bagel that was too soft. If it wasn't for yummy salmon and sauce, I would have sent it back. However, I will comeback and give them another try. The people and atmosphere are inviting,

Darling lovely place - perfect quick healthy tasty meal and juices!!! Ashburn is not the place you think of for San Fran esq healthy delicious food, but this is a gem in the heart of Ashburn! I had the hummus and veggie melt with Big Bang juice - it was absolutely delicious. I look forward to many more delicious and healthy meals here!

I love F&O. It's one of my favorite places in the area. Unfortunately I don't know how much I'll be going back now that they're getting more popular and can't seem to keep up with the crowds... This would be a 5 star review, but they have some problems to overcome. FOOD: The food is, as you would imagine, fresh and organic... And most importantly, very tasty! This is one of the only restaurants where I feel I can order food that is almost as healthy as what I would cook at home. He doesn't openly advertise as farm to fork, but I'm pretty sure the owner works with local farms to use as much local organic produce and meats as possible. The coffee drinks are also very good. I usually get 2 eggs w/ multigrain toast for breakfast, or a burger with mushrooms for lunch. My husband also loves the salmon benedict. There are a few consistency problems. I order my eggs over easy and have never actually received them with runny yolks. I suspect they wait under a heater while my husband's food is being prepared, resulting in over well instead of easy. They're still delicious though, and the jam served with the bread is yummy. SERVICE: Very very friendly, but slow and disorganized. They seem to be getting more and more popular. As the crowds increase the wait times increase (for both a table and food). Just the other day my husband and I had to leave before ever getting our food after waiting for 45 minutes for simple egg breakfasts. The owner wasn't there that day and we suspect he is pretty instrumental in keeping things running. We were told 3 times our food was on its way and eventually had to leave for an appointment. ATMOSPHERE: I personally like the atmosphere, but it is very haphazard. There are booths and tables sort of stashed wherever there's room. It seems they took furniture from other restaurants and made it fit the best they could. I think it gives the place personality, but it is probably hurting them the busier they get. If they made a plan and did a full build-out they could get a lot better use of the space. Hopefully that can happen at some point. The playing cards are a nice touch. I've never sat out in the courtyard, but I imagine that relieves a lot of the space issues on a nice day. All in all I really do like Fresh and Organic. I hope they can make some needed improvements to keep up with the demand. TIPS: Go during off hours. Avoid the rush. Pay when you order! They don't make you do this and it's frustrating to have to get back in line to pay when you're finished.

Not an actual full service restaurant.... You have to order at the counter. Their menu is small and limited. Not many people in there for sunday brunch and i can see why. Also seating is freerange so lots of couples sitting at 4 tops, itd be hard to seat 4 or more here. Not well managed. I left without ordering and went to the mediterranean place next door for a real, regular brunch

This is my spot. I've been going here for the last year or two. The place has such good food that you wouldn't think they would be located where they are. This place could have been a nice DC or Tyson's Corner brunch spot. However, I'm glad it's in Ashburn so I don't have to go far. The owner is very nice and he is just as much of a hard worker as the rest of his staff. I believe there is a new manager who is hired. He is very nice himself. He checks on me to make sure everything is good in the middle and toward the end of my eating. Perfect timing! Their French pressed coffee is amazing and I don't even want cream with it. Just the brown sugar. Waffles are yummy. Please note, you get whipped cream on it which I find good. I usually eat their Garden Variety Omelette which is on point. Fresh squeezed OJ is good but you don't get that much. Bacon... yum! It's all good. I've never gotten anything that tastes bad but I just wanted to mention a few of my personal favorites. Well I think this place is delish. It's a cute little ambiance for couples or some friends chillin'. I asked them if they would soon serve Mimosa's. They seem to be highly considering that option. So, please visit and enjoy!

Food here was ok, I had a open faced turkey sandwich. The place was a little small and crowded. What I didn't like was seeing little kids, children of the staff, in the kitchen where the food is being made. Did not get the clean vibe from that.

Based on the positive reviews on Yelp, we were excited to try this place for brunch. I am giving it 3 stars because the service was tremendous and the staff was incredibly kind. However, I was not at all impressed by the food and coffee. We had the (i) garden omelet; (ii) chicken and cheese sausage; (iii) Belgian waffle; and (iv) coffee for two. The garden omelet was no different than one I could have prepared at home on my own (which I found to be at lukewarm temperature, quite bland and lacking a variety of vegetables). Further, if you elect a side that is not the toast and jam (as I did, going for the potatoes, which were unseasoned, sliced, fried slices of white potatoes - equally bland and very greasy), then no toast comes with it. At over $12 I found this not worth the price. The chicken and cheese sausage, I was very very surprised by -- at $3 we got one (1) chicken sausage link -- which was (what looked to me to be) the exact same brand and chicken sausage that you can purchase at Costco for $12 for a 16-pack. Needless to say, that was upsetting. Finally, the waffle was fine, just a plain warm waffle with syrup. The French press coffee we received was lukewarm, which the staff kindly heated up for us. One note, we went on a very cold day and sat near the fireplace. When we asked whether the server could turn on the fireplace, she told us that we would have to pay extra for that service. I found this in incredibly poor taste. We ended up eating this very average meal in the cold indoor restaurant.

Excellent place. The attention is great, and the food is delicious too.The breakfast, and the lunch menu are really good!! Also they have a gluten free bread is amazing.

Try the cafe cubano. The staff was nice, menu wasn't overwhelming, food was great. This place is tucked into a little corner. The restaurant is rather small though, but the quality of food and service makes up for that.

Love this little place! I wish it was bigger! It's a little eclectic and alot quaint, which I like. My favorite is the salmon eggs benedict. There is a gluten free version versus the bagel, but the gluten free bread is always dry and flavorless. Too bad. Also totally love the twisted turkey wrap and i know the western omelet is to die for (so I am told). They also have french press coffees here and fresh juices. It can be kinda pricey overall, but i will pay more for organic and portions are generous .. and there arent many choices! Service is a bit sketchy, but i think it is more a matter of a small kitchen that cant always keep up. Overall, if a cute little organic restaurant appeals to you, i definitely recommend stopping here.

Quick, friendly service, and tasty organic breakfast at a good price. Combine this with excellent company of friends, and you've got a great morning! I will definitely be back! Oh, and following the recommendation of other Yelpers, I ordered the chai tea, which as always been my go-to drink at new cafes, and I agree, it was delicious. My only qualm was that when they brought it out it was only warm, not hot, but the perfect taste, combined with the fact that my server made "extra" and brought it out for me in a separate container with my cup compensates for this. I look forward to trying it again next time, hopefully at a higher temperature.

Cute place, bustling this afternoon but quiet this evening. Delicious, fresh food - shared a turkey club with a friend earlier today then came back later for a garden omelette with bacon and fresh squeezed orange juice. Yum! Breakfast is served all day here, which makes me very happy! ...and after I submitted my post, they brought out a small dessert sample for the few customers there. Again, delicious! Very nice little place.

This is absolutely a great find in Ashburn. I find myself going back more and more often! There is no other restaurant like it. The food is "fresh and organic" and prepared to perfection. The owner is awesome as is the chef. Very family friendly and comfortable. We had breakfast this morning, I had the Ashburn Breakfast and coffee (always French Press) and it was no less then YUMMY! Will continue to go back. I HIGHLY recommend the Black Bean Burger. Thank You Kevin for bringing this wonderful gem to our neighborhood!

Nice atmosphere. Great music - and amazing and healthy food. We ordered a freshly squeezed juice and just could not stop ordering because everything was so fresh and tasty. If you like a combination of oriental spicy and fresh ingredient cooking this would be a good place for you to dine.

Once again, I've happened upon a great little local shop that has fresh, made-to-order food, and they let you be as organic or as gluten-free or chi-chi as you want (or don't want) to be about your food. Great thing about Fresh & Organic is that there's absolutely no pretense, no attitude, and it's very cozy and inviting inside the shop. Hubby and I drove up to Ashburn on a late Saturday morning, so he could get his "lunch food" fix while simultaneously satisfying my need for "breakfast food & coffee before anything else". Innocuous strip mall location with lots of free parking. Looked to us like the owner was at the helm of the little shop, chatting with what appeared to be local regulars and families; there are only about 7 or 8 2- and 4-top tables inside, so it was about half-full. Your senses are inundated with the sights and smells of beautiful breads, muffins, pastries, coffee drinks, and omelettes. There was a food runner/busboy who was incredibly "on" when it came to delivering food, clearing and bussing tables, all while managing to make conversation with customers - a nice change! You order at the counter - the cashier/owner enters your order onto his iPad ordering system (which also is his Square merchant checkout system where your CC is swiped, etc). There is a huge selection of omelettes, breakfast sandwiches, wraps, soups, coffee drinks, juices, and more. All are made-to-order, and there are gluten-free and "fully-organic" options throughout the menu. I made my own omelette, and opted for egg whites (no upcharge - thank you!) and four fillings; cost was only $9 which I found fair. It was served with two slices of gluten-free bread and homemade jam - although if you're put off by GF bread (theirs was some of the best I've had), there are other side item choices. Husband went for a "twisted club" sandwich on the flatbread, with grilled chicken, but you have your choice of many different meats and cheeses. He did a side salad. He was generally pleased with the sandwich, but didn't care for the spice rub on the grilled chicken. One other thing I loved about the cafe was that the coffee for one is French-press style, so it's super fresh, made-to-order and very strong! They also have a big old fashioned espresso machine - I will definitely try an espresso drink next time I'm here! They're super close to the W&OD trail (across the street from the Ashburn FD and up the road just a bit from Carolina Bros BBQ), so it would be a great place for cyclists to stop for a snack or a refueling juice/coffee!

I didn't find it anything special as far as the food. i had the salmon eggs benedict. i didn't like the bagel that they used vs english muffin - made the dish heavy. the bernaise sauce was avg. and it was expensive. service was ok. i had a much better breakfast at cracker barrel for much less.

Let me start off by saying I had a false expectation of what this cafe is. I was under the impression that it's a small restaurant which you can get a full breakfast. One morning we were deciding between driving out to Reston to have breakfast at Silver Diner (it's not the good old greasy place that you are imagining... you should try if it you haven't gone there in the past 2 years) or try out some local places that offer breakfast, we stumbled upon the Fresh & Organic Cafe and Bakery. The name looks promising, the reviews seem encouraging, so what the heck let's give it a try. When we got there, it did not look like a restaurant but it's really a coffee house. They sell bakery items but we didn't have any. We had the smoked salmon egg benedict and a traditional breakfast. They were really just OK (and that's already got the added "it's organic" bonus point). The coffee was pretty decent, but nothing really stands out. The ambiance was very cafe-ish as I said earlier. It's very french-themed, which some of you will enjoy.

My husband and I moved to Ashburn about a month ago and we've already been here twice! Love that they have organic ingredients and that it's a local business -- I'm always more inclined to give my business to local places. I love even more that they have fresh squeezed juices and they are DELICIOUS (in particular the orange). My only complaint would be that since this is called "Fresh and Organic Bakery," the majority of their ingredients should be organic instead of upcharging for their organic ingredients. Regardless, will be back!

We came here for brunch and I had the Ashburn breakfast, croissants with egg and chicken sausage (I don't eat pork but can exchange with chicken), also I got fresh Orange juice. Everything was very tasty, and the Oj was so fresh!! Very good dish. Definitely will come back if we're around the area.

Starbucks is great and all. But I've really been wishing a for quality coffee shop in Ashburn for a long time. I don't know how I didn't know about this place until now! I hadn't looked up anything in a while and on Saturday I Googled it to see if anything new had come up. Fresh & Organic appeared and it sounded exactly like what I have been waiting for. The Yelp page brought us to the Ashburn Village center, where it used to be located. We were bummed when we couldn't find it. But we decided to drive though old town Ashburn to get back to our house and thankfully I spotted it from the road. It's right near the W&OD trail off of Ashburn Road, next to Mediterranean Breeze. It's got a great interior, quaint decorations and booths and tables. I wish we hadn't already eaten breakfast because everything on the menu looked divine. Breakfast sandwiches, waffles, you name it. I got their caramel latte and my husband got the Cubano. We sat down to enjoy our coffee and both were delicious. The owner was very nice and welcoming. We will definitely be back for more coffee and hopefully breakfast too. We are glad they're in the neighborhood!

Thank you, F&O, for giving us a healthy option in NoVA! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our omelets (available all day), mine was made to order with fresh jalapeños and my husband ordered the chicken sausage with his. Both the carrot and orange juices were fresh and delicious, the service prompt and courteous, and the condiments were even organic. We can't wait to return!

I'm not sure what happened, but the quality seems to have diminished. I hate to have to write an updated review that's poor, but I wouldn't feel right if I left a review up that I no longer believe to be accurate. I was excited to find a place like this and had high hopes; however, the lack of consistency has been quite disappointing. Hubby and I used to go weekly, but after being served less than satisfactory meals every single time after our second visit, we've chosen to give up and try other places. Food tastes like it came out of packages. Also, coffee is awful (where is the whole milk option??). Lastly, if you're thinking about ordering the mean green juice, don't. It tastes like overpriced cucumber flavored water. So sad because it had so much potential.

Found this place on Yelp last night and went there the next day for brunch with my friend. What a great find! Their website wasn't working (or doesn't work) so I just went off of reviews. There food was delicious. Everything is organic and fresh (as the name implies) in a very small restaurant feel. We arrived right as the breakfast crowd was finishing up. I was worried we wouldn't be able to get indoor seating but it quickly cleared. You order first at the register, then sit down and they bring the food to you. Then you pay when you are done. I got a bagel with spinach, sausage, egg and cheese and my friend got a croissant with egg white, organic spinach and goat cheese. Tasted great and filled me up for a good portion of the day. The hot chocolate was creamy and the OJ tasted fresh squeezed with the pulp to prove. I will be visiting this place again.

Finally a great brunch spot in Ashburn that's not a chain! Food is awesome and such a cute atmosphere. Garden omelet was fantastic.

Bottom line: Wonderful food and service! Would go again in a heartbeat. Walked in based on all the Yelp reviews, and have to agree. The cook and staff are rated 100% AWESOME! I ordered an egg white omlette, wife had egg sandwich, and daughter had a Belgium Waffle. All was awesome, and the lattes were fantastic too. About the only thing I didn't care for were the potatoes. Sort of slice, boiled, steamed, grilled things that just didn't do it for me. Perhaps others enjoy these, but I am an old time hash brown or grilled potatoes sort of guy. These were just kind of limp and well... oily. But other than that, I love the place. Even had games for the kiddos.

Love this place. Came across it one morning when me and my brother wanted breakfast and didn't want to go to ihop. Small cozy coffee shop but it has a full menu and has a kitchen that will cook up breakfast or anything else. I had the eggs Benedict and it was really good. Their Cuban coffee is sooooo good. They have almond milk and gluten free as options here too which I like. The omelette and potatoes were yummy. Also the gluten free sour cherry cake is amazing. Nice place to chill, read, have a bite to eat, hang out. Will go out of my way to eat here.

We were visiting and my sisters recommended this coffee shop, as they know I like cute local coffee shops. I found it to be sub par compared to other unique places that know how to make coffee better than Starbucks. Behind the counter was a mess and disorganized, but I still ordered. I ordered two iced vanilla lattes and they looked more like chocolate milk than a latte, with a solid later of grounds on the bottom of the cup. They poured the coffee/espresso out of a container in the fridge so I thought they misheard and were making iced coffees so I clarified, and she confirmed she was making a latte. I suppose you can cold brew espresso, but haven't seen it done that way before. They also filled the cups about 3/4s with the coffee....so it didn't seem like it was very concentrated. Anyways, maybe my expectations were high because of the recommendations or they were having a bad day as clearly most reviews are good. I'd say make fresh shots of espresso for iced espresso drinks.

This place is a great start to healthy eating. They offer a wide variety of fresh and healthy foods combined with the right spice to make you want to come back for more. I discovered this place while juice fasting, and although other places may offer more variety of juices, this place offers great combinations and very affordable prices. I believe there is something for everyone on the menu and I look forward to trying more items.

This is a great alternative to bbq at mile 27.5 on the W&OD trail. Staff is very friendly, service is good. Not an organic person, just like the sandwiches here & the healthy aspect.

What a cute, friendly place. I ordered a cafe americano and it was delicious! They had agave nectar so I used that to sweeten it just a touch and it was perfect. I ordered the black bean & egg sandwich. It was a black bean veggie patty with salsa, egg and I added cheese. Delicious. And made to order. Came out fast, too. I got my items to go but it there were nice dining tables there. The woman there gave me a small slice of what I think is buttermilk cherry cake as a welcome to the neighborhood since I recently moved here. It was totally worth the extra 20-minutes at the gym. Not too sweet and very moist. I don't care too much about the organic and gluten-free aspects but it's nice that they cater to those who do. I would like to go back here for brunch. Or when I feel like having breakfast for dinner because they serve breakfast all day!

Best chai tea I have ever had started my first experience at Fresh and Organic off nicely, then following that with amazingly delicious gluten-free sour cherry cake and friendly service made my day! I ordered "Smoked Salmon and Eggs Benedict" and got a really good bagel with cream cheese, smoked salmon, fresh capers, onion and Benedictine eggs and it was spectacular and my partner's Belgian Waffles were delicious too! She would not share her bacon but it looked perfect. We liked the cake so much we ordered A whole one to go.

I just finished a veggie omelet, cherry cake, and a chai tea latte from Fresh and Organic! I'd like to give 3 1/2 stars- the omelet was certainly fresh, and I'm sure it was also organic, but lacked the flavor I was hoping for. It was topped with avocados, but they were not quite ripe, so again, they lacked flavor and the texture wasn't quite right. My cherry cake is delicious. I THINK it is gluten free, and they topped it with a tasty cherry sauce with a side of whipped cream. Chai tea is also tasty, not too sweet, not too spicy, and nice and creamy. I think these guys are really good with their sweets and so I will most likely return for their other desserts and sweet breakfast items. Ambiance could be cozier, but I am enjoying the fireplace!

Great spot for breakfast and lunch, though they really need to improve how they run their business: Ordering/Payment You order by walking up to the counter to place your order. They hand-write your order on a notepad and bring the food out to your table. The odd thing is you don't pay until after you are done with your meal. After our meal I went back to pay, but the lady did not remember what I ordered and asked me to recite my order again so she could ring me up. I think that note she used to take our order goes to the back of the kitchen then thrown away. Payment was through an iPad with a Square payment system on it. Seating The place has a decent amount of seating inside, though the ventilation was not great and I hate smelling like food, so we grabbed a spot outside. There were no umbrellas so we were seated in the sun. Outside there was a full-sized ping-pong table and corn hole game set-up for patrons. Inside, there were chess boards and other games for diners to play. Service Service was fine, we received our food in about 15 minutes from ordering. While we were there though, we overheard several other tables missing items from their order. They actually forgot our juices. While in line for payment, a woman behind me had her table accidentally bused. She had a half sandwich left she was in line asking for a carryout box. The restaurant apologized and offered her money (in cash) back. Food Excellent. I ordered the Chicken burger which was amazing. My wife ordered an egg scramble with sausage, also very good. The juices also tasted healthy. Overall, their food is excellent, but they need to learn how to run a restaurant to really make this place great.

I've been wanting to stop by this place since seeing all the great reviews on yelp. It did not disappoint! My husband and I stopped for lunch on a Saturday. There's no menu online, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect when we got there. We were pleasantly surprised to find they serve breakfast most of the day on Saturday, along with lunch options! The owner was pleasant and didn't rush us as we decided. The restaurant has a great ambiance, some you wouldn't expect from a strip mall. The inside is bright yet cozy. Each table had a deck of cards. You could see right into the kitchen from where we were sitting, and everything looked clean. I ordered the Ashburn breakfast - a croissant, eggs, cheese, and bacon with fresh squeezed orange juice. My husband ordered a Belgian waffle, which came with sausage, and asked if they could add eggs on the side. He also got orange juice, and we split a pot of coffee. I'm a former barista and coffee snob - the coffee was fabulous. The breakfast itself was actually beyond my expectations. The croissant was soft and buttery, the eggs were clearly just cracked and scrambled onto my sandwich. Normally bacon is just bacon, but this was a step above normal breakfast restaurants bacon. It tasted like it'd just come out of the frying pan. My husband loved his eggs, waffle, and sausage. The waffle came with a dollop of whipped cream that was hand whipped. I did manage to sneak a bite of the waffle - it was soft and delicious. I want to go back and try some of the other juice combinations. The fresh squeezed orange juice was perfect, but their menu had very interesting suggestions! The owner also said they would juice whatever combination we wanted. Friendly, delicious, satisfying - go check it out!

Went there for the second time and we really enjoyed it. I had the Belgian breakfast and my husband had the Cowboy Benedict. They were both excellent. Service is great. Waiting less than ten minutes for our breakfast. Highly recommend fresh and organic! Kevin and his wife are doing a great job. !!!

I am SO excited to have found this cafe! I went there yesterday to get some juice and it was really good, quick, and reasonable priced The place is clean and they have a few good options for vegan/gluten free protein bars as well as some other Gluten Free baked goods and other snacks. I'm looking forward to trying some of their breakfast & lunch options. They also offer free wifi and have a few tables available. I will difinitely be back, I would much rather give my business to small businesses like this as opposed to the large franchises in this area.

  • Jessica S.

I love this place and wish there were more like it. Only concerns I have are the prices which are a bit extreme, especially for the juices. Which you can't see them make. They also up-charge you for gluten free/ organic... which I thought would be why they are expensive in the first place... It can get a bit crowded for the small establishment which is why it may take a bit for your food to come, but worth the wait... very yummy!

This place was good but nothing special. I was in town visiting my mom who lives in reston and suggested we go out to breakfast. She's been disappointed with most options in the area so w turned to yelp. The good was pretty good but nothing memorable and certainly not worth driving out for.

Glad to see them back in business and in this space. This new location and format look to be working better than their old Ashburn Village location and concept, it was nicely crowded Sunday morning.

Very cute place with amazing food. Owners serve you and make you feel so welcome. Kids meals look like what I make them at home. Ping pong free outside. Love this place. Only suggestion is to add some more breakfast options to the kids meals. We will be back!

Yo. This place is good. Yo. Go here. I got the smoked salmon eggs benedict and it was definitely the best breakfast meal I have ever had. While we were eating I overheard someone else say that their sandwich was the best they had ever had. I do not know what they got. Sorry. Ask them yourself. Sheesh

I have recently found this gem in Ashburn VA and let me tell you if you want good quality food at a good price and amazing service then I recommend Fresh & Organic. The omelets are delicious, the breakfast sandwiches are also delicious! Never had a bad meal or bad experience! The place makes me feel like I am at home and is very cozy!

I've been looking forward to trying this place based on all of the positive reviews. Unfortunately I didn't have the same experience. We went for brunch and ordered the Belgian waffle breakfast. The waffles were soft, not crispy and golden brown, and were bland--like eating wet cardboard. The bacon wasn't much better. Nothing about the dish was fresh or organic. Our drinks were the only positive note; fresh squeezed orange juice and a delicious Chai tea. Overall very disappointed with an unapatizing, overpriced breakfast.

This is a must try place! Definitely not your average cookie cutter sub par Ashburn restaurant which is a HUGE plus. This is our go to place for Sunday brunch. Everything is super fresh & delicious. You feel full for longer without that crappy feeling afterwards. Still planning on trying it out for lunch/dinner just haven't gotten a chance to yet. This place has the perfect amount of service in my opinion. You order at the counter, they bring you your food/drink, and you go up to the counter to pay at the end. Meanwhile- all the condiments, napkins, & water are available at a near by stand so you are never left waiting around for anything. It's really a place where you can enjoy at your own pace, whatever that may be.

We came for an early dinner and it was a little bit eerie with no other customers. I ordered a black bean burger with side salad and my husband ordered a beef burger with chili. The food was ok. Not bad but nothing special. None of the entrées came with sides so we had to purchase them separately. Our burgers had huge chunks of hard romaine leaf in them which I took out. Would have given it a neutral 2.5 stars if we could have. Probably won't be coming back.

We stopped in here when we heard they had great coffee and gluten free options. The owner patiently read ingredient lists to us, as my kids have several allergies. Since we didn't have the kids with us, we ordered the gluten free brownie topped with whipped cream, a coffee for my husband and a decaf americano for me. My husband's coffee was an individual French press. Both coffees were great, and the whipped cream was clearly homemade. They have fresh juices as well. What a great addition to the neighborhood!

This place is amazing! They have a great juice bar and a great menu. I have NEVER been disappointed. I would eat here every meal, every day if I could! I only wish they had better advertising or signs so more people could enjoy their great food & juice!

The absence of breakfast options in this area is sad. We decided to try Fresh and Organic as a hope to find an option rather than driving 30 plus minutes out. Service was quick and friendly. We had the Ashburn breakfast and the smoked salmon bagel. It took about ten minutes to get our food, and everything arrived hot and was very good. I opted for the carrot juice which was fresh and delicious. Eggs were well cooked, bacon not super greasy and crisp, salmon fresh, and bagel and croissant both soft. The owner came to check on us and was super friendly. Our only complaint was the coffee. We went with a French press and the coffee was too weak and watery. There is also limited options on the menu. We will certainly add this into the rotation though, and I would tell others not to hesitate to check this place out!

Great place. The entire staff is super friendly and makes sure their customers are happy. Had the Eggcellent Breakfast with a caramel soy latte, which were very yummy. Will be coming back for sure. They also have games, so you can eat and play all at the same time.

It's almost impossible to find organic selections when dining out. This place has organic choices and the food is great. You might not even realize it's a cafe based on the sign out front (we thought it was a small grocery at first.). Support this great local business and give them a try for breakfast but be aware that they don't open until rather late in the morning.

  • Casey R.

For me, a place that serves good breakfast must first serve great coffee. I was excited when I saw the obnoxiously large espresso machine at the front counter because nowhere else in Ashburn even pretends to care about making espresso. Ordered a single shot. No fresh grind? Zero crema? Tasted stale and bitter. I'm no aficionado, and at $4 for a single it was so bad I couldn't finish it. The food is actually pretty good though, so I went back a second time with my wife. Got a large coffee which arrived as a French press carafe for self-plunge and self-serve. It was better tasting than the espresso, but I disagree that serving a fresh press in this way is good for the customer. For $6 I hoped YOU would make and pour my coffee, not me...

  • Abra F.

Really terrific menu, there were almost too many choices for a Saturday brunch. Pretty much anything on the menu can be made gluten free, and the kitchen was easily able to tell me about ingredients, which is extremely helpful for those of us who are gluten intolerant (or any other allergens). They also offer organic options for a small surcharge. Will definitely be returning there for another great meal!

Quite possibly the best breakfast I have had in years. Charming environment that reminds you to take your time and savor the meal. Very flavorful, rich, and fresh ingredients... and the perfect cup of French press coffee. Bee Good & Eggcellent Breakfast are must haves.

This is a wonderful little cafe for breakfast, coffee, and sandwiches. It is so cozy (yay, fireplace!) and friendly and feels like a European cafe. The food is fresh and delicious. I got a breakfast sandwich on a croissant and my boyfriend got a club sandwich -- both yummy as could be. From the road, you'd never know this place was there. And the name on the sign "Fresh and Organic" looks and sounds like it's a small health-food store. It's a shame because better marketing and signage would help draw customers. This place deserves to stay open and thrive, as it's a true little gem. Great food, reasonable prices, and lovely environment. I hope it stays open, as I want to keep coming back.

I just held a meetup here today and it was a really great experience. The cafe was very accommodating (we had 9 people in our group) and the service was exceptional. The food was delicious and healthy. They serve gluten-free food and ordering gluten-free was very easy! We started with fresh French-pressed coffee and the spiced chai, delicious and comforting! My husband ordered one of the owner's favorites: salmon burger, florentine style. He said it was tasty and healthy. I ordered the smoked salmon, egg, and onion breakfast sandwich on gluten-free bread... delicious! I want to order another one right now. We also tried the gluten-free brownie and we devoured it. It was gooey, moist, and very chocolatey... perfect brownie in my opinion. Another plus, free wifi and decent parking. We will definitely return!

I love this place. Great decor inside, reminds me of a European cafe. French press is a nice starter. Salads and sandwiches are fantastic. Food is very fresh and healthy options abound. Cobb salad was amazing. Just finished a apple, bacon and Brie wrap, incredible! Owners and staff alike are very engaging with customers. Chef is fantastic.

This place is awesome! Love that they serve fresh, wholesome foods and it tastes great. The first time we stopped in there looking for dessert. There wasn't a huge selection, and I'd say it's more for sandwiches and such, but the gluten-free brownies we took home were delicious! The owner is super friendly, too. Makes you feel like you've run into an old friend when you stop in. He was so sweet that he offered us a cookie to try (which was also delish!) and I asked for some tap water on the way out because the sweetness had me thirsty. He handed me over a full bottle of water. We've returned for dinner and experienced the same friendly, social service and great food.

Went here for brunch. Lots of vegetarian options which is great for my wife. I got an omelet which was very flavorful. And they even have us a free slice of the cherry cake which was freshly baked, gluten free with less sugar and was simply amazing.

Excellent food and service! Easily the best tasting restaurant in Ashburn. It is also great to know the food is made from wholesome, organic ingredients. Every tastes homemade and fresh. The owner of this small family owned business is super friendly. I will definitely be back.

5 stars?!? Yelpers you let me down. I could easily make the food I had at home. Had an omelet - not worth $10. I was given a decent latte, unfortunately I ordered a cappuccino. Good service, but I don't think I'll be back because of the food.

This place has amazing soups and sandwiches. I stopped by there earlier tonight and ordered a burger for my daughter. The order was mixed up and I did not realize it till I got home. When I called, the owner was very apologetic and offered to personally deliver the burger to my house which he did ( glad that i did not have to scrape a last minute dinner for her ) and also brought some free cookies and brownies, which I thought was very nice as he did not have to. We will definitely keep going back there for the food and amazing customer service! Thank you again!

Very courteous service, excellent coffee, and I am a big fan of the fresh vegetable juices - juiced to order for you. They have a nice variety of fresh juice choices, and you can request custom combinations. We come here often to chill out and relax. Haven't tried the main dishes, but my kids have loved the sandwiches. A nice place to have in the neighborhood!
