Stopped here on the way back from Yellowstone. The cab driver, who looked like "the stranger" from the big lebowski, affirmed to us that Utah's achaic alcohol laws have been changed over the last few years. The drinks here are reasonably priced, but be prepared for 3% alcohol content beer and shots served to you in a thimble. I blew a hundred bux to get myself and my girlfriend drunk. The place was a trip, for a person who has spent little time in a small town. After midnight it started to feel like we were crashing at a high school house party. I don't know how people can get so wasted on such chincy amounts of booze . My girlfriend was attacked by seagulls (men) who found it strange that a purdy girl didn't have an engagement ring. We started walking to the motel and were offered a ride from a patron of this place. Overall, a memorable experience for us, but that's just because it was so far and away from sweet home, OC.

My brother and I stopped here one night last July. We were surprised they were still serving dinner since it was nearly ten. I give this place 4 stars based on an excellent steak, (overcooked) and the weirdest decor I've ever seen. So wierd it was interesting. (Interesting like Bobby Peru is interesting, if you know what I mean.) The bill was a bit high, but I only balk at price when I get low quality, and this was a really nice flavorful steak. You'd have to see the decor to understand, and I think it's worth the trip for those who appreciate the esoteric. Not for the family with youngsters!

We aren't from the area but wanted dinner and a drink. The place is restaurant on one side and and a newly added sports bar on the other. We only had appetizers and 2 entrees but everything was cooked great. The bar side had 4 pool tables and 4 Dartslive dartboards and the drinks were reasonable.

Stopped here in June for dinner before embarking on a river trip. A friend from Roosevelt suggested it and my father is VERY picky when it comes to a nice meal. So I read a few reviews from another site...one stating it was excellent even though it looked like a run down strip club on the outside. It was right! Don't let the outside aesthetics deter you! When you bite into your food, any amount of wait time seems to slip away as your mouth salivates. Huge win for my friend who suggested it! My father couldn't stop talking about how great his meal was. He still tells his friends about the place (you know, in person). So I found myself back in Vernal and a friend suggested XS. This time they meant the club (attached to the restaurant). Great drinks! Once it was time to pay, the bartender gave me a hard time for not having cash. I gave him a hard time back. At the time they did not accept credit cards for drinks. 3rd time is a charm. I went back a month later, they still would not take a card. I had a water and left to go bar hopping (I'll review those bars later). I came back at closing time to explain that I left their bar and spent hundreds more at the other bars...with my card...they have since changed their policy and now accept credit cards for drinks! You're welcome Vernal!

Steak was amazing but honestly the smoked potato was the best part it was so freaking good and I've never thought of smoking a potato. GENUUS!!

The filet mignon with a lobster tail was amazing also the green beans had a bacon flavored with them that was to die for also the fettucini alfredo fresh warm rolls excellent.
