The Coffee Shoppe

Excellent place to get great coffee. Very friendly staff The best place in town to get coffee.
Yelp recommended The Coffee Shoppe so we stopped by for breakfast this morning! I have seen in before but never stopped since I usually go up the street where I have been going for years. I liked the iced chai although I am sure it is the same stuff I poor up myself at home. Then again I do think most places brew their own. So it was good nothing spectacular. On the otter hand my husband had a white mocha and he was thrilled! Totally impressed! You have 2 new customers Coffee Shoppe!
Great place glad they opened, a lot better than the place up the street a lot friendlier .

Nigh-time has been my favorite donut shop for as long as I can remember. The glazed and blueberry cake are my favorite! The smoothies are super delicious too. You won't go wrong coming here! The staff is super friendly and they are always smiling!
Great bagels especially considering the options here in Tooele. My favorite is their french toast bagel with the maple smear. The prices are resonable and they have a great selection if you go in the morning. My children love getting their donuts with sprinkles. The staff must just be tired by the time I go in. They barely look at me, mumble and then grab my order hoping to not have to deal with me. The bagels are good enough it's worth feeling like an intruder most of the time.
It's worth the 38 mile drive.

Vista Linda Mexican Restaurant

21 E Vine St
Tooele, 84074
Reviews:
We were visiting from Phoenix AZ and very happy to discover some delicious authentic Mexican food. Very friendly service and a clean restaurant. Wife's chicken Fajitas came out super sizzlin and i had the cheesy chicken enchiladas. Fresh guacamole, tortilla chips and a tamale for appetizer. Great prices and will definitely come back when we visit family again next year!
Overall impression: I won't be back, but some of the food was good, and service was great. Food: The salsa was interesting. It had a flavor that (I'm sorry) I can't figure out and haven't tasted anywhere in Mexico, the Southwest, or elsewhere, but it was actually pretty good. The guacamole was superb! They used good ratios of ingredients that still let the (very good) avocados stand out. The carnitas were quite bland but very tender and juicy. Beans are very runny like they used oil or even water rather than lard or rendered fats. Service: The staff was always eager to help, refill, and clear our table and were super nice. Atmosphere: Let's just say lacking. Maybe take down some of the poster ads on the storefront windows and put in some dividers for the tables that are so exposed in the center of the small room.
Tooele, outside Salt Lake City is a poster child for what seems every casual dining chain in the U.S. You pass maybe 20 of them before you get to old town Tooele, which looks almost abandoned-- most of the life sucked out of it by the modern strip malls just north. But this is where you find golden gems like Vista Linda. It's run with pride by a small family and has very fresh, tasty food. We came in late, after the owner of the B&B where we were staying recommended it at the tail of his list of chain restaurants, almost apologetically, as a "local" Mexican restaurant. Prices were great. We stayed a half hour chatting with the owner and his daughter, originally from Mexico, who had a great life story. Can't miss here. Be brave. Go local for the best!

One of my favorite Dickey's. The staff was great. The Manager was working the line to help keep it moving. He was very friendly. The sandwiches were good, but just "good". I really like their links and brisket. That's where they really shine.
I was a bit reluctant to try this dickey's because the one on 56th south in slc is not good. But glad I did. My mom said it wasn't good, but I think there food is great, it has always been fresh and service has been good when I have been here.

Denny’s

925 N Main St
Tooele, 84074
Reviews:
I'm NOT usually a fan of Denny's by any stretch of the imagination, but this location was not a typical Denny's experience. Being Located in downtown Tooele, I thought that it might be crowded as hell since there aren't too many breakfast options in town, but I was pleasantly surprised to be seated and served right away (in my experience, this isn't usually the case at any Denny's). The server was very pleasant and attentive (weird for Denny's), giving us exceptional service. My mushroom Swiss burger was fantastic (I opted for brunch), but, sadly, some of my party's orders left much to be desired. Their pancakes were bland and, frankly, dry. I asked my party mates if they wanted to send it back, but they took the "grin and bear it" approach. If it were mine, it would have gone back in a skinny second. The prices were reasonable. However, since I live in Honolulu, most mainland menus prices are reasonable in comparison. All in all, for me, it was very good.
One of the best Denny's I ever been to. So good, that I had to write a letter to the parent company to let them know! Like some others said, this isnt a typical one. They do everything right!
Standard Denny's food. In my opinion the tastiest hash browns in town. However, service is terrible. Not the wait staff, but there must be something wrong with the kitchen. I have been here on several locations and waited 45 minutes or more to get our food after placing our order. This is unacceptable for a grill. Especially a family friendly establishment targeting kids in their marketing. Tough to keep kids excited about sitting in a booth for 45 minutes.

I like a lot of tomatoes most only put a few this one will put as many items as you want. They also have a large seating area which I like as well.

Stopped by here on recommendation of friends. The food is really pretty good and I was not disappointed. I understand this is a local place with the one location but it kind of reminded me of astro burger, crown burger or apollo burger. Food was great and I will eat here again if in Tooele. Would have been 5 starts but the tables were sticky and the floors and walls were a bit dirty.
This place is great Let me say it is not "fast food" it's a restaurant with a drive thru After working here I can say that everything is fresh. Every protein is never frozen and delivered every morning. The kabobs are hand sticked and marinated every morning, onion rings are hand battered daily, salads assembled before they open and pastrami is marinated all day and strained before placing on the burger so you don't get a soggy bun. Their side orders are picked very carefully before the owners serve them. They put so much care into what kind of food they serve. Even the French frys are only half frozen on delivery so they don't dry out and burn during cooking. If you ever find yourself passing through, definitely pick this place to sit and have a meal.
Small town, greasy fast food, and unapologetic as such. I had a mushroom burger that was delicious. The fries were good but they need to work on the batter for the zucchini and onion rings. Would not hesitate to eat at again, but wouldn't go out of my way for such.

It is very very good all you can eat hot pot. Super tasty. We order the 2 broths in 1 pot. 1 is spicy, 1 is not. They have variety of meats, vegetables and fish balls (which i LOVE). The server was very nice and attentive. She explains very well on the oder. Me and my boyfriend spent 2 hours and ate every single things. Lol. Very good place to eat hot pot.
I've lived in Tooele for 15 years now. I have tried all of the other Chinese places in town and a number in SLC. This is my hands down favorite. I liked it before, but now that it is under new ownership, it is much better. I eat here, on average, 4 X a month. Never disappointed. The service is outstanding, polite, fast and helpful. The portions are huge. I always have enough left for at least another meal. If you phone in for take out, your food is ready in just a few minutes. They always tell you "10 minutes", but I've never had it take that long. I always get the chicken salad...do not pass up this salad! I want the recipe for the dressing! My one regret in moving soon will be missing this place. My faves are the Curried Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken or shrimp, and Hunan Chicken.
This is going to be a new favorite. Enjoyed everything we got from here. We ordered to go. Orange chicken was good, almost up there with panda's orange chicken just not nearly as sweet but still very tasty. Broccoli beef, chicken chow mein, pork fried rice, egg drop soup all were very good! Crab cream cheese wontons were ok, flavor was good but the won ton wrappers were a little overdone for my taste...they were kind of on the chewy side. But all in all very good food, will definitely be eating here again.

Great food hearty portions well worth it. Have not tried the breakfast menu but the turkey avocado sandwich is really good.
Bad news, they changed the menu, they now precook there meats and warm it up when you order. Place went downhill, sad Apollo used to be good. Better just go to American burger. So I get home, and my steak sandwich is raw, called the manager, they are not really interested in taking care of it.
I had the Golden Burger, which is an Apollo on Garlic Texas Toast. With the toast and the pastromi, it is unique and quite good. The fries were good too. The one thing that was a dissapointment was the burger patty itself. It was thin, somewhat dry and unremarkable. Luckily, the other flavors are more distinct. With a larger, fresh ground beef patty, this would be a five star burger, and I would gladly pay a few dollars more for it.
