It takes a few minutes to get your food but thats because they make it so fresh. My sandwich was very tasty and the staff was friendly too. Great experience and I'll definitely go back. Also they sell Kinder chocolates so if you're a fan then you can pick them up here!

Stopped in because I was in the neighborhood and I'm glad I did. The special was a cheese steak sandwich which was huge. Very tasty. The lemon bar for dessert was also very tasty. The staff is very friendly and fast.

I have been going here since it opened. I used to love the friendly staff, overall cleanliness of the charming deli. Its been a couple years since I had been to visit and now its run so poorly I wouldn't recommend even walking by the place. It's disgusting. Trash all over the floors. Napkins, rags, plates and plastic numbers left out on tables. I had to bus my own table just to sit down. The staff seemed annoyed that I came to eat there, like I was bothering them for food. The guy behind the counter was in dirty shorts and an unflattering Jazz jersey. He was busy talking to his friend while people waited to get their orders behind him. He also took a smoke break right in front of the doors and dragged his stench through the building when he came back in. The open sign wasn't turned on and they had stools still upside down on the bar, almost trying to turn people away. What was once my favorite deli is now a hangout for losers who cant grab a broom. I will never go back to Pazzo.

This place looked awesome and we were excited to try it. The food was alright, but rather expensive for the quality of sandwich. The bread on my Italian Special sandwich was dry and the sandwich could have used more meat. The Hot Chicken Parm sub was good, the chicken was moist and flavorful with good breading. The tomato and basil marinara was good and the cheese was good quality and non-greasy. There was the perfect amount of each. However, we both felt the sandwiches should come with some sort of side for the price. The service was slow, during the slowest time of the day when the place was empty.

I must have driven by this maybe a hundred times without noticing it and probably would have continued to do so were it not for Yelp. This is mostly due to its very eclectic and somewhat largely illegible exterior signage, but once you do find your way in, you immediately discover a true gem. The interior of this is frankly fantastic. This is a great place to relax for a lunch, with the right amount of brightness and only the excessively loud and obnoxious overhead speakers really serving to intrude. It's fine for reading the paper, but anything that requires any concentration is probably better done in another place. Service is extremely friendly, helpful and very efficient. Coke Zero on the fountain and a great selection of drinks really help things. They've added pizza and I wouldn't have felt right about myself had I not tried it (it's acceptable, but not much more), but the real star here is the sandwiches. Available on 3 different kinds of bread, the one to pick is the baguette, which is as near to perfect as any sandwich bread I've had. I had the NY Combo, which was excellent, though excessive usage of the vinegar wore me out. The meat and cheese were excellent and the lettuce large enough I could just discard the offending vinegar-soaked parts of the bread and just have a sort of cold cut lettuce wrap. Definitely want to tell them to use that balsamic as an accent rather than trying to wash the bread halves in it. It is a very good balsamic, but unless you're really a fan of that, better to have them use it more sparingly. This is one of those sandwich shops (I know, I know, there's a couple million of them seemingly in Salt Lake) that is well worth the effort to find.

I haven't had a bad dish yet, I love this place!! Staff is always so nice and helpful too.

Tried the Chicken Parm sandwich per other recommendation read, it was quite good. Also tried the "Pazzo! Grill", which both of us (friend & I) agreed that it was not something to order again. We added the orzo pasta, which was awesome (hint of citrus/lemon, light olive oil, and other herbs) which made that a hit on a hot summer day. Then picked up a lemon bar and brownie at the register for a little sweet tooth craving. Lemon bar had less lemon flavor than the orzo pasta, which it was tasty but fell below good. Brownie was much better, reasonably moist, thick, and chocolaty. All in, I would go back for sure and try more options to get more range of their food selection, but overall not amazing yet. side note, lunch crowd starts around 1150 with all the businesses around, it was packed by 12:05-1210... limited seating on hot days, either get there early to grab a seat inside or plan to take back to the home/office. if someone orders a smoothie, have ear plugs! It's industrial grade noise levels that OSHA would even crack down on as dangerous in that open area. NOT PLEASANT and NOT ACCEPTABLE in this setting for a deli.

I work very close to Pazzo Vita, so I find myself eating lunch there frequently. I will say they have a very good menu. Most everything I have tried has been well above average. That being said.... I am not a big salad eater. I do enjoy an occasional salad from time to time. Pazzo Vita's Buffalo Chicken salad has to be the best salad I have ever had. It is hands down my all time favorite salad. It is truly an amazing salad. Give it a try you wont regret it.

Not very sanitary at all and they also forgot to make half of my order. Definitely not coming back, ever.

One of my favorite lunch places. The owner Frank is always there ready to give menu suggestions. My favorite is the meatloaf entree.

Great little place. I love a good deli and while Petrone's isn't doing anything too mind blowing, they are doing the deli thing quite well. Nice boar's head products, good bread, and nice service. It gets pretty busy but who doesn't like a good sandwich for lunch. I had the proscuitto sandwich on ciabatta which was lovely. I mean, you can't go wrong with proscuitto! My friend loved the egg salad and returned 2 days in a row after our visit. If you live or work in the area, you definitely need to make this part of your rotation. Huge menu so your palate won't get bored!

I like this deli, went in late afternoon so they weren't busy. I had the Italian sandwich which was good but was not a fan of the soft roll - next time I'll ask for a different kind of bread but overall it was a well made meal. Hubby order a pastrami gilled sandwich which he enjoyed but not too crazy about. We will need to return to try other items on the menu. Breakfast options and price looks great will need to try breakfast someday soon. The one killer at this deli is the person who takes your order also makes up sandwiches not sure if they remember to wash hands before touching food. I would really like to see them wear gloves or at least have someone who only does food. This is the reason for 3 stars sanatation is so important when handling other people's food. I sure hope the owner see this and does something about it.

Burger is amazing... it is absolutely one of the best delis I've ever been to. I recommend it to anyone! Avoid the lunch rush by going a little after 1pm-1:30pm.

Absolutely delicious food in ENORMOUS servings. I was stuffed and half of my food was still left over. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Definitely coming back.

  • A C.

Even if the food here is amazing I don't see one person wearing gloves and a lot of food being handled. I didn't know this was legal. Service is also slow but I get the feeling today has been crazy for them. The back food prep line is a mess. Lady taking money also taking care of food. I am going to assume she stopped to wash her hands but I doubt it. I will say that despite the sanitation and worn out staff, this wrap is crazy good!!

A friend recommended this place for lunch. I ordered the Antipasto Salad which came topped with Italian meats, cheese, kalamata olives, red onion, tomato and a delicious balsamic vinaigrette - seriously one of the best salads I've had - and boy do I love my salads! Came with a roll which had the perfect density and not dry. While we waiting for our order, I got one of their brownies - ohhh my, perfect way to start a meal or end one, if thats your thing :) Service is just that of a deli, nothing over the top friendly but the boys are VERY quick! Cleanliness was fine as far as tables but it was 2pm. I wouldn't jump to order anything from the deli case. Overall, def. recommend!

Not only great lunch options but their breakfast sandwiches are excellent. The egg, bacon and cheese on a bagel is my favorite. Highly recommend this place for anyone.

Still a solid 4 star establishment. I finally got back here to try the NY combo cold sandwich and it did not disappoint. The NY comes with prosciutto, sopressata, salami, pepperoni, roasted peppers, lettuce, tomato, provolone and balsamic vinegar on a fresh baguette. Very tasty and they were generous with the meats. My lunch date had the hot meatloaf sandwich and I tried a bite of that, too. It was also good and very ooey-gooey cheesy. I also scored some German candies I didn't notice last visit. They had about 15 different flavors of Ritter Sport chocolate bars and some Kinder Chocolate as well. This was the legit stuff with the German labels, not the made for the US variety. I stocked up for my fam for Christmas since we lived in Germany for a few years when my dad was stationed there in the Air Force. If they had carried mini dickmann candy I would have bought the entire stock out, but alas no dickmann for me. I was pretty pleased with the surprise find and left giddy. I really like this authentic east coast style deli. If it were located downtown I would visit much more often but since it's tucked away in an odd part of Murray I don't remember it's there sometimes. Definitely worth a visit if you are a sandwich lover like me.

This is a great lunch spot in Taylorsville. The staff is friendly. Pazzo's has great selection to choose from as well. Chicken Parmesan Sub ($6.95) is great! I get this just about every time that I go here. The menu says "Covered with marinara sauce" which to me implies that it is dripping in goodness. Not the fact here. It is lightly coated in marinara. Despite that I still enjoy it. The 6 Oz. Fresh Pastrami Burger with Swiss cheese ($6.95) is also good. It has a nice flame grilled flavor. I am a creature of habit so I have not ventured past these good eats. But I am sure that everything else is equally as good.

I work across the street so I go here a lot. The variety is good. My favorites are the Buffalo Chicken salad and the grilled cheese. The pizza is really good too. Its a little pricy but its all really good.

Absolutely delicious sandwiches... Amazing deli items... Huge drink selection... Full menu of coffee drinks... AND the nicest people you'll meet :) My favorite is a fully loaded breakfast sandwich on ciabata bread. 5-stars for the win!!!

Just ate here for the first time and I will now be a regular. The Reuben was perfection! The marble rye was grilled just enough to give each bite just the right crunch. The corned beef and sauerkraut was piping hot, and it was smothered with what must have been a house made thousand island dressing. Maybe the best Reuben I've ever had!

Wonderful place to grab a great sandwich or salad. Their buffalo spicy chicken is a favorite in our office. We have to get in regularly to get our "fix".

Ugh. I had such high hopes for this place. Walking in and seeing eggplant parm, lasagna, and chicken cutlets in the cold case (along with Boars Head meats), I was immediately brought back to Brooklyn - to all the wonderful places like this that had these little homemade gems. I ordered a chicken cutlet - it was so bland and it was dry on one side (air dried). I could overlook that though - there's always salt and I could have just asked for one from the bottom. I noticed that the eggplant parm and the lasagna were dry on top as well. I bought a lemon bar. Some of the lemon bars by the register were stale (hard), which I had to point out to the kid working the counter. The worst thing was how disgustingly dirty this place was. It was 3:00 in the afternoon. There was one table with customers, one person on the counter/grill, and a second person who went into the kitchen. I had to pass two dirty tables to find one that was semi-clean. Looking around, I noticed crumbs on top of the deli case - not just be the bread, but clear over near the register. I noticed that the floor was dirty. Peeking beside the Deli case, I saw all kinds of crap on the floor, along with a mixing bowl with remains of a salad in it. It felt like someone just gave up. If you can easily see all that mess in the front of the shop, you can only imagine how much worse it is where you can't see it. The cleanliness of the place doesn't seem to matter to anyone that works there. I tried to wait for the owner (who had gone on a run to one of his other businesses) but had to leave after 15 minutes of waiting. Serious bummer because they promise NY pizza too and it looked like they might be able to deliver what they promised. You have to care enough to be sanitary in a restaurant.

I has been coming to this place many times thru the years since they opened and everytime I order somthing for lunch and I am always pleased the foods I ordered! Now, I has been slowly becoming an Vegetarian since few months and I went to Pazzo's with co-worker. I was debating on what to eat since most of them have meat and I don't want to have just soup or side salad. I asked them if there's any way that they can make Veggie Sandwich and they did!! Oh my it was AMAZING!!! Ciabtta Bread with drizzle of Blasmic Vingear, Olive Oil, Peppers, sun dried bell red peppers, yellow bell peppers, cooked mushrooms, eggplant, tomatoes, purple onion, cucumbers, and lettuce. I am HAPPY!!! :) Not just foods that are BOMB but the workers there are always friendly and amazing!

I'm a fan of the deli scene, so when the LDS Missionaries told me this was the best place to go in town, I decided to check it out. Whether you're Mormon or not, those guys know every freakin street and local eatery in the area so I'm inclined to trust them on THAT. Service wasn't great, food took forever, workers didn't seem to care much and I've seen a better deli 'ambiance' but holy freakity the Philly Cheese Steak I ordered was worth it! I'll definitely be back to try other items. I'm saddened there wasn't more variety in deli style soups though.

That's it... 5 stars!! We stopped in here again for carbo loading pre-half-marathon. I got the Italian Combo sandwich on a baguette. Lisa ordered the smoked turkey on wheat. We shared the pasta salad and macaroni salad. My sandwich was fan-freakin-tastic!! The meat was sliced to order and this sandwich was LOADED with meat! Wow! Once again, I could only eat half of my sandwich because it was so much food (and it cost a paltry $6.75). The pastas were both very good. Macaroni salad was very simple, but I couldn't find anything wrong with it. The pasta salad was loaded with big chunks of meat. Yum! The turkey sandwich was also very good, but I couldn't really eat any of it due to the stuffededness from my own gargantuan sammie. We also picked up a couple of bags of kookaburra licorice from their ample selection of imported candies. The service was extremely prompt and friendly. When we asked, "what's in that salad?" we were offered a sample before buying. Pazzo Vita is a true Italian deli in the mid-valley. This place is awesome!!

This place has yummy breakfast and lunch! We have been here a few times and I love how the food is always fresh! But there are a few things that could improve. The wait time to get your food is a little long, and the cleanliness could be better. But overall this is a good place to eat. Every time we go there the place is packed, so they must be doing something right

This place is my stand-by for a consistent sandwich. Both the italian sandwiches and the rueben are great. Also, surprisingly good pizza. Sometimes a little slow when it's busy but always great food.

Say what you want about those Italian Socialist, pasta eating, Vespa riding, gold chain wearing, Italians but they make a hell of a breakfast sandwich. Went here for breakfast before a road trip and remembered why my wife took me here the first time. The food is awesome. I'm sure they have other things on the menu besides a breakfast sandwich with sausage and bacon (don't judge me I have a thyroid problem that's why I look like this it's not the bacon and sausage). My buddy tried to order a breakfast burrito (heathen), but fear not my friends I set him straight, you order the breakfast sandwich with the soft bread grilled on one side and all the cholesterol goodness loving cradled in the center. Eggs slightly gooey on the inside just enough to smother the sausage and bacon (I said it's a thyroid problem dammit). The tattooed people behind the counter are, courteous and helpful (you hear that Vapors? not douchebags). You may wait a couple of minutes but it is all made fresh to order it is not sitting there in the back waiting to be ordered. My only complaint is that they are not on my way to work in the morning so I could grab a sandwich on my way to work (I SAID IT"S A THYROID PROBLEM).

Food is great! Quality sandwiches. Great soups. Seen a few salads that looked really good. Some reviews state there is a wait, and yes there is but not much more than if you were getting a Subway or similar (and these are WAY better).

Mmmmm, pastrami and swiss on toasted rye with mustard. So simple, yet so hard to find! Happily, i now have this deli to satisfy my all consuming craving for corned and smoked meat sandwiches. While i have yet to abandon my beloved pastrami, my wife has tried a number of different sandwiches which means i have had the pleasure of sampling a good number of their offerings and they have all been delicious. They excel at fried offerings. The french fries are some of the best i have ever had. They are thick with a crunchy exterior and a light fluffy interior, heavenly. The chicken parmesan sub was wonderful, again possessing the perfect balance of crispy crust to superbly cooked insides. I have also tried one of their salad offerings which was a cucumber and tomato salad with a vinaigrette dressing. This too was delicious. On top of all this culinary goodness, they sell Ritter Sport chocolate which is an amazing German chocolate that my wife got addicted to while in Germany.

Best Italian food that not many know about. Get the 5 cheese lasagna it is epic

Very slow, the food is ok, they use boar head meats so its like getting a sandwich at Harmons, nothing special meat inside of a bun, nothing to make them stand out. Not very customer friendly. Tomatoes and lettuce and meat on a bun. Also has a coffee shop but its like they have forgotten about that part of the business.

A real East Coast Italian deli. Gotta love it - Taylorsville got lucky with this one. Sandwiches are as good as those I've had in NYC, CT, NJ, and PA. The NY Combo is my perennial favorite.

Known as "The Deli" in my office, this is favorite and frequent lunchtime stop. They have a wide variety on the menu and everything I've tried has been fantastic and generous. The service is quick and friendly. Highly recommended to those near and far!

  • Shane S.

Don't get me wrong the sandwiches are amazing but as for the soup which tastes like it was reheated in a microwave and the coffee that he may or may not have strained through an old gym sock I was not impressed. For the atmosphere I got to watch the man who just handed me a sandwich walk out into the parking lot hit a pipe and walk back in. Not that I have a problem with smoking but please wash your hands.... I wanted to like this place because I have heard so many good things but all my Orders will have to be just sandwiches and to go from now on.
