We were in the area ordering something from Tay Do when we chanced upon Ming's Garden. The place is really nice and from what it looks like it's a family business. We saw a kid setting up tables after customers and he's quite busy and lovin' what he do. We ordered several items from the menu, namely, Hot and Sour soup, Rock Cod in black bean sauce, Mixed Vegetables, Kung Pao Tofu and Pork Chop with Spicy Salt. The Hot and Sour soup taste different in the sense it's in a little sweet. I'm used to the sour taste and I guess that's why they called it Hot and Sour soup. This is a first for us. Both the mixed vegetables and rock cod dishes looked and tasted almost the same. We were assuming that the mixed vegetables will be in white sauce but it still had soy sauce and had it not for the black beans, the two would have been the same. From the five dishes we ordered, only the Kung Pao Tofu and Pork Chop with Spicy Salt tasted great and original. The tofu complemented the pork chop in the sense they were like yin and yan. We really love them both. Reading from the review, it looks like lunch is their specialty. Too bad, we came for dinner.

If you're looking for delicious Chinese food, look no further! And, they deliver! We stopped in for dinner on a Friday night, and the service was prompt and fantastic. We have been having trouble finding good Chinese food lately, but this is the place! Full flavor, fast service, hot, and nommy :)

Great lunch prices, and the quantity of food is great. The flavor, however, certainly needs improvement. I chose egg flower soup (bland), BBQ ribs and snow peas (loved the amount of veg and sliced meat, but lacking flavor), fried rice (two tiny bits of ham for a lot of rice that had no flavor at all), egg roll (decent if it wasn't so greasy... Couldn't finish). We were served promptly with our food. The service was good. The amount of food was good. The quality, had anything been seasoned, was good. We won't, however, be rushing back.

The food is very good here. Location is across from sl community college. Orange chicken was crazy good and don't forget the lo mein noodles. They are excellent as well. I will be coming back.

Had delivery, came within 20min. Ordered orange chicken, Vegas roll and chicken chow mein. Loved the sushi roll. The orange chicken wasn't bad but it had a ton of breading.. It tasted more like sweet rolls of a hint of chicken. The chow mein was okay.

I love this place! I have never eaten there, but hope to for lunch someday. I have used their delivery system, and they're fast. The food was hot and delicious. I recently moved and had to use their services since my fridge was empty. Had enough for supper at night and lunch the next day. The chow mein was good but I loved the Mongolian Beef and Gen Taos chicken. I had the spicy shrimp sushi, and it was very good. I would use them again, but still want to see the place in person.

We are new to Salt Lake Valley and just found this restaurant, what a great surprise! The food was great, good prices, service was fast and friendly, it was well maintained. We ordered family style and the portions were very good size. Honey Walnut Prawns, BBQ Pork Fried Rice, BBQ Pork Egg Foo Young, Chicken Chow Mein. Soup was really good as well. We will definitely be eating here again. We enjoyed our dinner.

When they were renovating the building, I was overjoyed to see that they deliver. Love the 5.99 and 6.99 lunch specials (over 30 entrées!), including Egg Drop or Hot & Sour Soup, Egg Roll or Paper Wrapped Chicken, and Fried or Steamed Rice. The decorating choices work well and the fish and lotus blossom motif glass dividers are lovely. The shiny new tables are great, but I wish they wouldn't spray Windex when bussing them--the scent of ammonia wafted across the restaurant and interfered with the delicious smells, my appetite, and breathing. Both the servers working today were polite and helpful. The parking situation is a bit unfortunate--small lot makes it easy to get in, a little tricky to get out. Oh--and they don't use MSG. My Cashew Nut Chicken had large chunks of vegetables (delicious carrots, zucchini, and celery), plenty of meat, and a flavorful sauce. No veggies in the fried rice, but it was OK with the ham and a few pieces of egg. Mom had Prawns with Scrambled Eggs, an unusual meal which she enjoyed. Prawns tasted fresh. The 20% Grand Opening discount was appreciated! I'm sure we'll return, and I''ll be ordering delivery when I can talk Mr. H into Chinese.

I'm new to the SLC area and kinda stick to places close to my home for now, i passed by this Chinese restaurant when looking for a quick lunch spot, the banner outside said they were having a grand opening special of 20% all menu items. i tried the sesame chicken lunch combo which came with your choice of hot and sour or egg flower soup along with fried won tons w/ sweet and sour sauce. the combo included your choice of fried rice or steamed rice and either an eggroll or paper wrapped chicken all for 5.95 prior to discount applied!!! My boyfriend got the sweet and sour pork combo. we both were pleased! after two combos @ 5.95 each along with hot tea service and a soda our total came to just $12 bucks!! way cheaper than any fast food place and we were in and out within 45 mins! the owners were prompt and very sweet and answered any questions we had about the menu... they cater and offer a very extensive dinner menu as well as sushi, i can't wait to come back and try those out!

A lot of food for the price, but definitely not my favorite place. I had the orange 'chicken'. The chicken was in there, but buried under lots of breading and barely any chicken. The sauce was delicious though, you can tell they use real oranges. The egg flower soup was not very flavorful. Good price, lots of food.

So nice to have a decent Chinese place close. Prices are reasonable. The sweet & sour sauce a bit more thin then other places but still good. I ordered over the phone and it was ready in less then 10 minutes. I'll be back.

This was our first experience at Ming's. We ordered the Bravo dinner. Lemon chicken, broccoli beef, BBQ pork chow mein, fried prawns, pot stickers, Kung pow prawns. We didn't get any steamed rice (that's supposed to be included), Kung pow prawns were not spicy(they're expected to be), and the BBQ Pork chow mein was really terrible. That BBQ chow main had a very strange flavor and the pork was over-cooked, dry and flavorless. Overall, we did not enjoy our food here. I would not recommend this restaurant, nor will I be going back.

This should be 3.5 stars. I ordered take out via their website, mostly because their phone went right to VM. The website was convenient but they gave me an optional pick up time and I waited another 15 minutes at the restaurant for my food. Wouldn't it make more sense to make it a standard time, what if I'd picked 15 min earlier as my pick up time? The food: Cashew chicken was as good as any I've had at other places. The big veggie pieces tasted quite fresh. The Singapore style, soft noodle chow mein was listed as spicy. It was full of meat, the peppers were flavorful and it was just spicy enough. The California roll was nothing special but hit the spot. I was interested in trying one of the specialty rolls but they were not listed on the website so I just went with the reliable ol' California roll. They lost the half star because of the extra wait and while I was there I noticed they had only 2 servers, one of which was also the hostess AND cashier. I'm super glad I was not dining in, it would have taken forever! I'll likely order delivery or takeout again but will expect my order to be ready in 45 min to an hour.

$25 for dinner, appetizers and drinks here. We have been here four times, once with our friends. I was only $60 for 5 people. SO DELICIOUS. SOOOO Delicious. I love the General Tao's Chicken.

Great food. Utah roll is delicious. I have been twice and fear both times. Plenty of choices on Sushi and other rolls. Spicy Tofu is very good too.

Great service, friendly staff. The menu did not disappoint as the variety was spot on. We ordered the won ton soup which was brought out to us in a serving bowl to share. It included shrimp, pork, and good size won tons. We also ordered a few slices of nigiri and a few rolls which was ok. The chicken chow fun good too.
