The atmosphere was a little uncomfortable because of how quiet it was but the waitress was very friendly and once we got our food we felt right at home. I ordered the trout with mashed p's and veggies. It was light, flavorful, and satisfying. Fair prices. My bf ordered the elk burger and it was not dry and was filling. The apple pie is quite delicious and the ice cream was soft. If we're ever in the area again we will be back.

Delicious burger joint and really enjoyed talking to the lady who works there. We didn't get her name. She gave us tips about the area. We will be coming back here on our next visit.

Staff was so friendly. After 13 miles of hiking this place hit the spot. I have never had elk burger before and It was very tasty. We also got the fries, club sandwich and the pie is UNBELIEVABLE!!! I would opt out of the tacos again.

Went for lunch while visiting Zion. My husband and I both had the angus burger and French fries. It was a good meal. Service was good. Able to get in and served quick and get back to the fun in the park!

What a delightful little place outside of Zion. The options were very affordable, considering a lot of places on the street were a bit pricey. We came to camp and have a good experience, not eat at places where they charge you $20/plate. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the food was good, and it has the perfect Ma and Pop feel. Would definitely come back.

The service here was excellent. Everyone was very friendly. The first night, we had the fried chicken dinner and the elk burger. Both were delicious. The next morning we had breakfast here and ordered two omelets- sausage and cheese, and a meat lovers. The toast came came with homemade jelly which was delightful. As for the omelets, they were tasty and big. I had a hard time finishing the entire meat lovers... it was so packed full of bacon, ham and sausage. My husband loved the sausage. It was perfectly cooked and had a wonderful flavor. The last meal we had here was ordered to-go. After a long day in Zion, we just wanted something cold and quick, so we ordered the turkey clubs. Again, just what we wanted and quick service.

The desk person at our motel recommended this as one of the best places to eat in town, however, my friend and I felt it was just average, if that. The food was a bit on the greasy side, helpings tended to be small and there was cold air blowing out of a vent. The granddaughter of the owner was trying to be helpful, but one could tell she just needed to be in bed at that time of night because she was just acting like a tired little kid. There are so many really good places to eat at in Springdale, that I wouldn't really recommend this place unless you want to eat in a cute little house that has been converted into a restaurant.

For some reason, every time I go out of town to go hiking, I need to find some fried chicken. That's how I stumbled across Blondie's. I grabbed a fried chicken dinner to go. It took a little longer to be ready than promised and it was slightly over priced and the pieces were small, but it tasted pretty damn good. Nice moist meet and a nice crunchy coating.

Sometimes you just want to eat and relax and feel good about it. It's sometimes just about simple pleasures. Blondie's is a simple place that was once a family home and now houses a very quaint simple diner with really sweet service and good traditional food, and sometimes with an unusual twist. They have an extensive kids menu, which I love. My kids shared the 3-chicken strip meal, which was very good. I got the chicken cheese steak sandwich and was able to leave off the grilled bell peppers, which was a huge score in my book. It was also good, with a really soft roll. My hubby got the elk burger, which he liked a lot. The elk is brought in to them fresh, along with buffalo and beef. A great variety for such a little town! As usual we were drowning in fries at the end of our meal, but felt very well taken care of. I totally loved the vibe at this place! Way to make people feel at home!!

Welp, this is definitely a one of a kind place you can only find in small town America. Definitely a tried and true diner. Not much to write home about. Decent prices.

Great food, awesome staff. Beautiful location just outside of Zion National Park. Great quality at an even better price. One of the best places I have eaten at. By far my favorite location in Springdale Utah. Brought my dogs with me, but there was plenty of seating outside.

We came here while we were camping at Zion, so it was great just to not eat camp food. I got an elk burger and a hot fudge sundae. After hiking all day, it really hit the spot. The elk burger, while good, didn't taste all that different from a regular burger. The sundae was made out of soft serve, which I wish I knew beforehand (def wanted ice cream!). They also have a yummy rootbeer freeze. This place definitely has character and it was fun to look at all the knickknacks they had decorating the restaurant, and different things they had for sale (jams, souvenirs, etc).

Very small diner that used to be a house. The service was good. The prices reasonable. I had the 2 mini burgers with fries and thought very good. We went for late lunch so not sure what wait would be a lunch time as only a few tables. Would definitely come back again.

Food was ok, somewhat overpriced. I got a club sandwich and it was pretty small. The service was good.

The only thing we wanted after hiking Angels landing was a burger. Blondies was the first place we saw so we stopped in - and that was the best decision we made that day! The buffalo burger was cooked perfectly and was so tender & juicy. The staff made us feel very welcome and even blondie herself came over to chat with us.

It may have been partly due to being exhausted and starving, but my wife and I loved our burger and Philly cheese steak. We came back the next day for another Philly and a slice of banana cream pie. Super nice staff, great food and great location right outside Zion National Park.

We went looking for burgers on a Friday night, our hotel staff pointed us to Spotted Dog, but we took one look at their over priced fancy menu (and the hour long wait, since we didn't have a reservation), and decided we needed to go somewhere else. We drove down the road and found Blondie's, their buffalo burgers were to die for, and you will think you have died and give to heaven when you try the strawberry pie! Very welcoming home-y atmosphere (literally, as the restaurant appears to be a converted house), lots of tongue in cheek decorations. Service was beyond excellent! When one of our group was disappointed that they were out of the banana-cream pie, Blondie herself offered to make one in the morning and hold a piece for us to pick up the next day. Very cute and cozy family run restaurant, if you are looking for delicious affordable homemade food look no further!

Delicious surprise for dinner. 2 of our party were feeling under the weather and the very tasty turkey noodle was just right. I had the fry bread taco which was perfectly seasoned with all the right fixings, while my dad had the mini burgers. Everyone was very pleased with their food and the friendly service. Blondie, the owner is truly a great cook! We will be back!

We have made it a point to try as many eating establishments in Springdale as possible. We tried Blondie's Cafe and it wasn't too bad. I had a cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger was nothing special but the fries were pretty tasty. My girlfriend had the hot turkey and potatoes. Again not great but good. Blondie's Diner would not be our first choice for lunch or dinner but would not rule out a return trip.

    (3)
  • Ted R.

There is nothing special about this place. Had an $8.50 buffalo burger which was just average. It was somewhat busy for a Monday evening. Wait staff was nice and the food came out quickly.

  • Rex J.

I've been to Blondie's many, many times. It's one of my favorite spots to eat after a solid day spent in Zion! The only time I wasn't able to eat there was when they were literally at full capacity. And that was a disappointment because their food is fantastic! I love the Bison Burger, that was one epic meal. Not only are the portions large, but the quality is very good and the taste is fantastic.

This diner is amazing! Their elk burger is absolutely delicious! I can't wait to come back and enjoy more of their menu!

Their fries are disgusting, undercooked and not salted at all. Bad taste, although the veggie burger was ok.

Worst food ever, yuk. The waitress was pleasant so they get one star I wish I could give them negative stars but it's not an option. We came for lunch after exploring Zion park. My husband ordered the corndog and side salad, I ordered the roast beef sandwich with cheese which came with fries. First of all for the sandwich not much of a bread choice white or wheat only. The cheese choices were Swiss or American so I chose white bread toasted with Swiss cheese, with lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise and pickles. The tomatoes were old and squishy the cheese didn't even look like Swiss cheese there were no holes was a very thin slice obviously that pasteurized processed fake cheese product, it tasted horrible. The roast beef didn't even look like roast beef it look like some kind of cheap mystery lunch meat you would get at 7-Eleven. My husband ordered blue cheese salad dressing and it was some nasty stuff from bottle that did not taste like blue cheese and had a gooey medicinal quality to it. I am not much of a catchup girl I like tartar sauce or mayonnaise on my french fries I asked for tartar sauce I'm not sure what it is that they gave me but it was not tartar sauce. It seemed to be a mayonnaise and mustard blend with no pickle relish in it, it was disgusting. I did like the french fries though. Matt said his corndog was tolerable it would have been a little overcooked for my taste. For dessert we split a slice of apple pie à la mode. The apple pie was not bad a little sugary and very thin but tasted okay overall the ice cream on the other hand was a peach color. I asked the waitress what flavor ice cream it was and she said vanilla. I have never seen orange colored vanilla ice cream. And it did not taste anything like vanilla ice cream actually it was pretty flavorless. Pretty expensive considering the poor quality. My sandwich and fries came to just under $9. The atmosphere of tasteless kitch witticisms and hunting references all over the walls was really tacky. Be careful of the saggy floor in the bathroom!

Great lunch today. Had a hamburger and elk burger. Both great. Apple pie was awesome. The service was great and they were very friendly. Great food after a hike!

  • Izabel G.

Am thinking this place gets their reviews from the locals and starving hikers who just need food. They are most likely in business because they are one of the first places outside the park. It gets two stars for the charm only. Food was definitely frozen and the cheap generic brand type. French fries were pretty gross and the burger was over cooked. Would never go back nor recommend no matter how hungry you are.

Perfect place to come after a hike. The offer great service and food. Well had elk burger which were great!

  • Baptiste L.

A really average (If not amateur) diner. Went for lunch, had a very common hamburger : patty was dry, tasted like coal and slice of cheese was unmelted. I make better burgers at home myself. It came with unseasoned salad leaf. Quite basic and disappointing, but the price was low so I didn't feel cheated on. They probably could do better with minimal effort though.

I would say this place was ok but it wasn't great. "meh" might be an appropriate rating. We were STARVING from our hike and the boyfriend really wanted a bison or buffalo burger, and this was the only place we saw via yelp with an "exotic" burger, the Elk burger. As it turns out they also had a bison burger, so we ordered one of each with the chips and salsa to start. The FOOD: The salsa was pretty good but the chips were just a giant bowl of tostitos. If these guys made their own chips it would be a major improvement. The burgers were pretty good, we added shredded cheddar and bacon to them. The fries were a tad undercooked and looked like the frozen variety, but you got a lot of them, and I was famished so it wasn't great but it worked. OTHER The Staff was attentive and nice. The place itself has an interesting history, and there's lots of those folk art-quirky joke signs all over the place. It was pretty empty but that could change if they just upgraded a few things on their menu. Like not buying pre-made stuff. There was a bit of a fly issue. we had 4 hovering around our food. THE VERDICT: When we come back to Zion we will probably try another place unless they make some changes or the other places are too busy. Good luck guys, you have real potential.

While on a recent trip to Southwestern Utah, my girlfriend and I returned to Zion National Park from Bryce Canyon at a later than ideal hour. Rather than eat at our camp site amongst the mosquitos of Zion National Park, we decided to venture into town and came upon Blondie's Diner. We both had burgers and enjoyed them immensely! I had a double Blondie's Burger and it was just what the doctor ordered after a long day of hiking around Bryce Canyon. For dessert we elected to have some of Blondie's Diner home made cherry pie a la mode. Both my girlfriend and I agreed the pie was positively heavenly. The delicious food coupled with hometown style friendliness from the staff make this a must visit when in the area. The décor of the diner is also fun and definitely provides some laughs and enjoyment while waiting for your food to arrive. I love the little signs all over the walls in the eating area!

Small and cramped but delightful service and good food. We came in after 1 and it wasn't crowded but service was a little slow but the server was attentive and took in stride our eight diners with three checks! Kids got typical kids fare and were happy with it. Adults got omelets, French dips, tuna salad, and a taco salad. All were delicious. Fries were hot and crisp. Salad was fresh and yummy.

I had a bowl of chili and my companions had the elk burger. They enjoyed their elk burger, though the giant amount of accompanying fries were completely forgettable, like supermarket frozen fries. The chili was hearty and came with large amounts of shredded cheese, perfect if you would like a hearty meal. The tiny restaurant has a cozy nook in the back and all sorts of whimsical signs on the walls. The tight booths are from a bygone era and you sink way, way, down into them. I had a pie for dessert which was quite similar to all the other pies I had in UT, with a flaky crust but not a ton of flavor in either the pie or the crust.

We stopped at Blondie's for our last meal before leaving the Zion area and we were mad we didn't come earlier. The service was terrific. The food was really good. My kids had the pancake sticks which they really enjoyed. I loved my chicken sandwich. Nice diner atmosphere and definitely home cooking. We enjoyed it.

Stopped in for a quick lunch before doing Zion. Met the town centurion, who's brother built the house presently used as the diner. Had Navajo Taco and fries. Staff was so friendly and place so unique, I went back for dinner. Had burger and fries. Scrumptious!! Wish I lived closer so I could go more often. Definitely worth a try.

Very cute setting...looked like it used to be a house. The food was tasty, though a bit pricey for what you were given. I got the philly cheese steak. The sandwich was a bit empty but it was still quite delicious.

  • Dan S.

Very friendly service but food was overpriced and ordinary ($7 for a grilled cheese sandwich I could have made on my own).

I came with my husband and two friend's after spending the day hiking Angel's Landing and playing in the river. We were tired and on our way home. I had a tuna Melt, my husband had fish and chips and we shared. They were both delicious. The tuna melt was not super flavorful, but it was still good. Service was great; our waitress was friendly and prompt. Prices were very reasonable. Selection was also good. We also had a chocolate shake, it was kinda weird; not creamy, more like a chocolate icey.

Spent a few days in Zion and wanted to grab a nice little dinner. Saw this place and wasn't sure what to expect but gave it a go. It was awesome! I was so glad I stopped in. The food was amazing and the service was super friendly. It had a nice small town friendly kind of feel to it.

Blonde burger. Get it. I don't care if you want to try something else. If you're hungry, get the Blondie burger. Two patties, four slices of cheese (2 cheddar, 2 Swiss), bacon, lettuce, tomatoes... Fries... It will definitely hold you through to your next meal.

Awesome burgers and fries. The kids Mac is lacking (made from a box) but my two year old didn't complain! Had the turtle pie, special of the day, which they say was homemade by Blondie. Was very rich and sweet! Guess that is how pies should taste! Again, the burgers were perfect. Juicy, not overcooked, bun was fresh, etc.

  • Luke F.

Unique atmosphere. Regular burgers are decent but seem over priced. Elk burger is fairly priced. Salad consists of iceberg, spring, romaine, and one slice of a tomato.

We finally ate here one day. Never again. My husband had a greasy cheeseburger that he didn't finish, tasted terrible. My kids had grilled cheese, how can you go wrong with that. They were super nice, but Oscar's is the only place for a burger.

    (1)
  • Rebecca W.

High priced, low quality, frozen food. Think elementary school cafeteria/rest home. The 2 stars are for the cute old pioneer home that it's located in.

  • Flaming H.

I'd like to rate this place better because of the nice staff and lovely place. But as it comes on food, it's an average fast food place. Burgers are fancyless but with a variety of meat. I recommend Elk and Buffalo. Steak was mediocre, fries as pale as a Goth who caught a glimpse of Utah summer sun. Blondie's is ok for a quick snack after a long hike thru Zion, but I'd always prefer something better.

Came here to reward ourselves after a successful hike to the Subway (in Zion National Park - Utah). Ordered the Buffalo burger. I never tried it before. It taste like beef! It was good. Came with standard fries too. Then got a homemade cherry pie. it was delish! Came with a big scoop of ice cream. As for the service, it was good. Very nice people. Come is you want some good food after a trip in Zion. Cant go wrong here.

    (4)
  • Anna S.

Great coffee, hash browns and pancake dippers. Prices and service was great! The buffalo burger was good, but I must remember that in Utah and other parts of the country, your burger comes dry with no condiments - I only discovered that after taking a bite. I'm used to thousand island sauce or mayo. I Just had to ask for mayo. Fries were typical fries. Small place, but I love that this place used to be someone's home. Next time I'm in the area, I will stop to eat.

  • Nebuchadnezzar Z.

Ok place. We all had hamburgers and elk burgers. I had an elk. Was very gamey tasting, more so than normal for game meat. I think it may have been a little old or something. I've had a lot of elk in the past and did not particularly enjoy this one.

  • Kim S.

As a local, I would say that I eat here a couple of times a month. Not only is the food good and made with love (try the steak - tender and tasty!), but the service is so warm and friendly. There really aren't many places that treat you like you're important to them, but the gals at Blondie's Diner do!

The kids ate here with the family while the hubs and I went out for dinner. They consumed everything they ordered and some of the kids are picky eaters. Later in the evening, on way back from dinner, we stopped here for dessert. We had their turtle pie and boy was it made for a sweet tooth.

I was skeptical at first: 1) no evidence of others going to this restaurant (albiet winter storm..but other restaurants had business), 2) home turned into restaurant, and 3) the American Cheese option for hamburgers was suggestive of nothing special to expect there (so, I aborted my plan to have a cheeseburger). We ate there anyway and was very pleased with our decision to do so. We ordered the Chicken Dumpling soup, an egg dish, and cherry pie (the best I have ever had) - all of which were good home cooking! Service was friendly and respectful. We also felt we were closer to experiencing the life of the locals (ie. visit/conversations between locals and restaurant owners). All very reasonably priced - Great value. We would definitely go again.

  • Emily N.

Pretention be damned, this is a good place to go if you are tired and sweaty and looking for good American food. The jalapeno poppers and elk burger were really good. The navajo taco was a bit below average.

Starving and decided to give this place a shot because it was right next to our hotel. Checked yelp first and saw several unfavorable reviews. Went anyway. We had burgers and fries and followed with apple pie. The burger had great flavor and the veggies were fresh. The fries were great and I recommend the fry sauce with them. The pie was tasty and the crust was very flaky. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. I recommend this place if you are hungry and happy. The negative reviewers must have been having bad days.

I loved this little place.... It ha a homey feel and the service was friendly! The signed everywhere were fun to read too... I have to watchout not to eat too much wheat so I ordered the elk burger as a lettuce wrap and it was no problem they were happy to make it they way I wanted:) The food was good and the service was fast... Would come again:)

The Elk Burger was good, the home made apple pie (a la mode) was FANTASTIC!! If we ever make it back to visit Zion National Park, we'll definitely be eating again at Blondie's.

It was 10:45 am when I was looking for a place to eat, and decided to wait a few minutes until 11am when this place opened and try the breakfast options. Great omelettes. My girlfriend got the veggie omelettes sans toast, because she's gluten free. I opted for a sausage and veggie omelette without cheese. The staff seemed a little confused why I didnt want the cheese. The toast came with a superb marmalade jam. The hashbrowns were freshly grated potatoes, done just perfect and not fried to an artery clogging crisp. Cute restaurant, with a table outside on the patio.

After a morning hike in Zion we were hitting the road to Bryce and wanted a take out sandwich for the road. We decided to try Blondie's. It is a cute place, not very big inside but were greeted warmly. On the recommendation of the waitress we decided on the turkey sandwich w/ fries. We were out of there before we knew it and on our way. The sandwich looked like the kind your Mom would make with leftover from Thanksgiving. It hit the spot and was perfect for our afternoon picnic.

Starving after hiking and looking for a place to order to-go to eat in our rv, my bro looked this place up. The menu is simple: burgers, fries, hot dogs, shakes, etc. There wasn't much that sounded too great so I ordered the chili dog that came with a side of fries. I heard there was a hype about the fries, but when it came, it was regular steak fries similar to that of what's provided in a general cafeteria. The chili dog, though, was large and flavorful with loads of chili. But then again, it was about equal to the chili dog that I got at AMPM the drive back down the next day. It was about $4.49 and $1 extra for chili. It did fill me up and I even had left over. The shakes were pretty good. Kind of thick to drink in the small straw provided. It was decent food; but on our next trip back, I would try some other place.

I asked one of the locals for some good places to eat and she directed me to Blondie's with the promise of good food and shakes. It's kind of like a boutique store and diner rolled in to one. You can eat in or take out. It's mostly burgers and sandwiches. We started off with some cheesy potato and jalapeno bite size things. I forget what they're called. They we're nothing special, rather bland actually. Like something you would get in the frozen food section of your grocery store. I ordered a veggie burger and my sister a turkey sandwich. It was good but nothing to go gaga over. They do give you a heaping side of fries which were actually pretty good. Also, it was not busy at all (one other table was occupied) and we were sitting there forever to get our check. The place isn't that big so we could hear our waitress just choppin it up in back with a coworker. All I want is my check!! Would I go back? Probably not. Unless it was to go around back to see the domestic Elk. That was nifty!

  • R F.

Efficient, extremely stoic staff - seated us all the way in the back - maybe because we were two scruffy guys. Located in a house that was decorated with frilly, Holly Hobby-esque and western stuff. The cheesy potato and jalapeno things were deep fried - but seemed like they were out of a box. My chicken sandwich did not agree with me. Partner had a burger that was ok at best. Would definitely not go back.

Went to blondies while vacationing at Zion's! It was absolutely amazing! First the girl serving us was so nice and sweet. The honey mustard was so good, had a nice kick to it. But what really got my 5 star rating was the APPLE PIE!! You must stop by this place for food and pie if you are in the area!

  • Paul W.

After a nice day of burning calories in Zion, this is a nice place to replace them and then some. This is not your average burger shop as it is an old converted house. As an appetizer I recommend the scones. They are not scones in the traditional sense but kind of like a flat doughnut. They come with a squeeze bottle of butter/honey sauce. For dinner I chose the elk burger with two types of cheese and bacon. The burger came with fires. The elk burger was not gamey tasting and much more heartier than your average beef burger. Try and get the table on the patio, it's a great place to enjoy your meal.

  • Arielle A.

  • Michael K.

Perfect place to come after a hike. The offer great service and food. Well had elk burger which were great!

  • Sam G.

Very friendly service but food was overpriced and ordinary ($7 for a grilled cheese sandwich I could have made on my own).

    (4)
  • Laura C.

Ok place. We all had hamburgers and elk burgers. I had an elk. Was very gamey tasting, more so than normal for game meat. I think it may have been a little old or something. I've had a lot of elk in the past and did not particularly enjoy this one.

    (3)

  • Allison H.

We went looking for burgers on a Friday night, our hotel staff pointed us to Spotted Dog, but we took one look at their over priced fancy menu (and the hour long wait, since we didn't have a reservation), and decided we needed to go somewhere else.

Quaint diner, service was fantastic, food was average. We were freezing after coming off Zion and wanted anything HOT!

  • Michael K.

Perfect place to come after a hike. The offer great service and food. Well had elk burger which were great!

  • Sam G.

Very friendly service but food was overpriced and ordinary ($7 for a grilled cheese sandwich I could have made on my own).

  • Laura C.

Ok place. We all had hamburgers and elk burgers. I had an elk. Was very gamey tasting, more so than normal for game meat. I think it may have been a little old or something. I've had a lot of elk in the past and did not particularly enjoy this one.

There is nothing special about this place. Had an $8.50 buffalo burger which was just average. It was somewhat busy for a Monday evening. Wait staff was nice and the food came out quickly.
