From allowing us to check in a few hours early, Tom was an excellent host. Our family loved his welcoming persona, his food =D, the humming birds in the beautiful backyard, the view from the house, the little details and decor throughout the house, his recommendations on places to eat, his suggestions on hikes to take, and even suggested routes to take once we were leaving. If you are reading this, do not hesitate to book a stay with him. It will be well worth it !! HIGHLY RECOMMEND :)
Thank you Tom!!! Your welcoming Harvest House B&B made our short stay in Zion fabulous, from viewing the stary Utah sky from your lovely hot tub to your great breakfast frattata, everything was just right! Mahalo again!
Since the moment we drove up, until the moment we left we were welcomed into the Harvest House. Tom took time to give us a tour of the house and all the benefits of staying here. The house was decorated for Valentines Day. Cookies were laid out, the hot water was ready for tea or coffee. The hot tub in the backyard was waiting to be used. Waking up in the morning to the sweet smell of a well cooked breakfast was just like waking up at home. All of this made our stay one we will not forget. Plus one that will make us stay here again next time when we come back to Zion. We HIGHLY recommend staying here when you are planning a trip to Zion.

I enjoy B&B's and this one did not disappoint. It is welcoming, comfortable and conveniently located. My stay was expertly hosted by owners Larry and Liz. Their well-behaved dogs, Echo & Aspen, played co-hosts. The place houses an interesting collection of antiques (his) and American Indian items (hers) inside and out. A hearty breakfast, fresh OJ and French press coffee kick starts the day. At the end of a full day it was great to find self-serve hot beverages, assorted snacks and homemade cookies. There's also a utility room with a microwave oven, ice maker, ziploc bags and paper goods. I shared the Canyon Room with a friend. There are 2 Queen beds and plenty of drawers and closet space. It was her first time ever to a B&B and she loved it. We both loved it!
Friendly, well located b+b. Nice breakfasts and helpful advice. We stayed 3 nights in June 2013. Downsides: dark decor in our room- Master #100. Decorated with dusty artificial plants, horse collar, trunk, metal cactus, stuffed mountain lion, snowshoes, eagle wooden 3D wall art, driftwood lamp. Never did meet co-owner Larry, even though he was there. Upsides: Friendly people, especially Liz the owner and Mychal the caretaker. Cool and comfortable room even on 100 degree days in June. Pinball machines upstairs with free play. Huge room with king bed and view of the mountain.
This B&B is located just outside the west entrance to Zion National Park in the town of Springdale. We stayed here a few weeks ago in The Narrows bedroom. It was quite spacious and we enjoyed the double-shower as well. Our room had a balcony where we could watch the sunrise or the sunset from. We also liked the fact that the sitting areas in the loft and downstairs were actually quite cozy and welcomed you to spend time out there as well. And the massage chair they provided a welcome relief after a day of hiking. Breakfasts were homemade and were some of the best food I've had at a B&B. We also were greeted each morning to a small Pomerian dog named Dixie who would sit on top of sofa -- the first morning I thought she was just some decoration until I saw her blink a few times!

This was our first stop on our honeymoon. We absolutely loved it. Karen made us feel so comfortable. They deliver these lovely gourmet breakfasts in picnic baskets in the morning. We were in the brand new Gifford Suite which had its own patio. The room was clean and comfy with good A/C. Huge bathroom with nice jetted tub. Little kitchenette which was nice. Also they gave us champagne in our room to celebrate. Loved this place and would recommend to anyone going to Zion.
WOW!!! It's been so long since I've gotten as good of customer service as I did at the Red Rock Inn. It was my boyfriend's birthday and I had emailed ahead of time to see if they could hang up decorations. Karen got right back to me, and it was super easy to nail everything down before we came. She also offered to make us restaurant reservations AND provide apple cider in the room (at no extra cost.) I've got to admit, which customer service the way it is, I was really surprised to get this level of service. Once we arrived, the decorations had been hung, and chilled cider, with two flutes, was waiting for us, as promised! It's in a great location too, you walk just 5 minutes and there's all sorts of restaurants and gift shops. Of course there's also the spectacular view of Zion. It's so nice and refreshing to get great service anymore, not to mention the room was very nice and comfy as well! There's also a hearty breakfast served right to your door. Highly recommended!
I stayed here for 4 nights on a recent trip to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. As a single female traveler, I felt right at home and safe during my entire stay -- an important attribute in my view. Reservations and check-in were easily accomplished and the price was very reasonable as compared to the surrounding options and amenities. Breakfast was brought to my room at 7am sharp which was great -- I am an early riser and wanted to hit the park early to hike before it got too hot. Breakfast each day was SPECTACULAR -- there was always a main dish, side dish, bread selection(s), and fruit/yogurt. It was a ton of food but it worked out great. Each day I packed the extra bread or yogurt in my hiking pack so I had a nice snack for later as well as a good start to the day. My favorite dish was the cream cheese stuffed blueberry French toast...to die for! I also liked the dine-on-the-front-porch approach as I'm not always the best conversationalist at shared B&B tables. It was honestly just nice to sit outdoors and soak in the scenery as I enjoyed by breakfast and coffee alone. The location is ideal given its proximity to Zion, the park shuttle, Bryce, a grocery store, and the shops and restaurants in town. Karen and Lisa were wonderful inn keepers and very helpful in making suggestions on where to hike, where to get good pictures, and where to eat. I would definitely go back to the Red Rock Inn if ever in Springdale again!

Fantastic 3 night stay. Ciaran, the host, was so friendly and helpful. Even when we arrived late, he greeted us and showed us our room. Room was CLEAN, charming, comfortable and daily restocked with fluffy white towels. At 3:30pm, there was home baked cookies out with fresh lemonade. After a long hike, it was always nice to come back to the treats. Every room is named after a famous author which adds to its character. Would definitely come stay here again.
Your home away from home without the annoyances. This place is truly a find, tucked away in a side street in the heart of downtown springdale.Location is excellent since its close to everything!Breakfast is included!! Voucher is given thru out your stay.Innkeeper-Kern is very accomodating and helpful in every single way. Overall extremely satisfied with our stay. The rooms/dining/living rooms are very well appointed. WIFI available.
We loved our 3-night stay at the Novel House Inn! It was more of a boutique hotel than a traditional B&B. *Prime* location - "downtown" Springdale, less than a minute away from the shuttle, gear stores, supermarket, gas station, and a bunch of restaurants. It's also close enough to the Park entrance that we actually walked it a couple of times instead of taking the shuttle. Our room was great, spacious and clean and we loved coming back from long days out to hanging out in it. The breakfast vouchers also worked really well for us, because on days when we wanted to hit the Park for long hikes we could eat at 7am, and on the day we had a short morning hike (the Watchman) we came back to eat a great breakfast (at Wildcat Willies - our favorite spot in Springdale) at 10am. Friendly hosts, and nothing more we could have asked for!

We stayed here in our RV in loop A. We reserved 6 months ahead to get a riverside spot. We discovered that you can't actually see the river form the riverside spots. It has a large burmed bank to prevent flooding and it's 100 feet from your site to the edge of the river. You are also looking right at the hotel across the river, but not that big of a deal. People regularly cut through our site to get to the river too. The site (A-009) was very nice and did have shade and plenty of space with our little 23' RV (It would have fit a 30'+ RV easy). The bathrooms were VERY nice but lacked showers. They were clean and almost new. The visitor center is 100 yard walk, nice! You can walk across a foot bridge to the local grocer, ice cream, outdoor shop, etc. or even hop the FREE shuttle into town form right there. All in all I say this is a nice site except for the usual lack of showers. We payed $20 a night and that was for a riverside space with power hook-ups (no water).
Ugh, terrible campground. I don't get the good reviews. I suppose it could be nice if you are in an RV. Usually National Park campgrounds are nice with shaded sites, and most importantly - showers. At Watchman, the sites are extremely close together. Only a few have shade, and there is construction going on all over the place. As a result, we had to walk (I kid you not) about 1/4 mile to the bathrooms. This was also the only spot to get water or dump the trash. You had to walk through a construction site to get there! Full disclosure, we did have a different site booked but when we got there we found it infested with caterpillars (apparently that can be a problem this time of year). My friend was so grossed out we asked to be switched and there were only sites left right next to construction. Still, after paying $20 (no electricity, and no showers, or shade) I was very disappointed.
Sweet location for a sweet U.S. National Park. The park is extremely well maintained. The bathrooms are old and do not have showers or hot water. You have to go into Springdale to get hot showers and it's $5/person for a shower. The campground is set right at the base of Zion and the camp sites are very spacious. We had spot A8 and we had foliage between all our neighbors, so it was awesome. I'll definitely be going back to Zion and Watchman campground.

The atmosphere was a little uncomfortable because of how quiet it was but the waitress was very friendly and once we got our food we felt right at home. I ordered the trout with mashed p's and veggies. It was light, flavorful, and satisfying. Fair prices. My bf ordered the elk burger and it was not dry and was filling. The apple pie is quite delicious and the ice cream was soft. If we're ever in the area again we will be back.
Delicious burger joint and really enjoyed talking to the lady who works there. We didn't get her name. She gave us tips about the area. We will be coming back here on our next visit.
Staff was so friendly. After 13 miles of hiking this place hit the spot. I have never had elk burger before and It was very tasty. We also got the fries, club sandwich and the pie is UNBELIEVABLE!!! I would opt out of the tacos again.

Absolutely amazing steak! Best I've had in a long time. I pulled over into this place not expecting much, but wound up ordering a rather competitively priced filet mignon. The (huge) plate came out and it was a good sized filet (7-8 oz) that had a massive amount of fries and an additional huge order of onion rings for good measure that were just offered up as a surprise and not mentioned on the menu. The onion rings were made from scratch, in-house. I was completely blown away by the quality of the food here. The one thing I would change is that they have a fake great white shark head on the wall and that was kind of cheesy given the rest of the decor was 'hunter's cabin' with buffalo, elk, and other items of a western motif.
We stayed at the majestic view lodge and it was very convenient to just walk on over before heading out to hike through Zion. Although the food was average, it was just perfect to start a long day - and frankly, we were all pretty ravenous from the day before and almost anything tastes good. While I would not suggest the food snob come here, it is a good family restaurant. Tyler, our server was particularly pleasant, and very helpful suggesting hikes and was very attentive. We really enjoyed starting the morning with his cheerful attitude. All of the waitstaff seemed equally pleasant and attentive, which was awesome!
The main attraction here is the view; arguably the best of any restaurant in the area. The breakfast and service were good. French toast made with cinnamon bread was very tasty and portions generous. Buttermilk pancakes and eggs were standard. Prices were in line with other area restaurants.

This was a great campsite for staying in Zion. We camped so it was only $30/night. They have bathrooms with showers, but be aware showers are limited to 6 minutes and it works on a "token" system. You get tokens from the front desk at the Quality Inn at the entrance. If you can, request a camp site on the river, it's nice to walk into the river to cool off a bit, you can also go tubing down here. We only had a problem with one noisy neighbor, but after we chatted with them and let them know that they were the only ones being noisy, they quieted down. There are quiet hours at this campground, so asking someone to quiet down after these hours should do the trick if you have any problems. Also, best tip I would have is to head over to the bathrooms near the RV portion of the campground, they are less used and cleaner. I also went up to the lobby at the Quality Inn to charge my phone, nobody seemed to mind. Great site for a great price.
I went here two years ago in July and had a great time. There was excellent hiking, climbing, and good "swimming" in the river, although I don't know what the swimming is like at this time of year. Also, there was horse-back riding. The whole area is beautiful and surprisingly diverse as far as the types of hikes. There are beautiful hikes along and through the river, and more perilous hikes where you walk across a long, windy pass, that is 3 ft. wide and has a 1500 foot straight drop on both sides but leads to an awesome view of the whole park. Plus, Bryce Canyon is nearby, and that is also a beautiful place. There is good camping and a nice hotel at Zion as well as some bed and breakfast's. There is very little as far as restaurants or nightlife. Also, it's a bit far from San Fran but no worse than Arizona. Anyway, I highly recommmend it!!!
We stay here for over 20 yr. but this time the people in the office were rude . The bathroom were very dirty. Sorry to say I think it is time to find a new RV park . Witch makes me sad. Ever sense Quality took over it gone down hill

We went here two times this weekend. It's in the same parking lot as our hotel. It seemed like the staff was a bit stuffy when we came for dinner. They insisted we sit out on the patio an then it was kind of putting them out when we asked them to turn on the heater. It warmed up nice once it was finally turned on. I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and my friend ordered the seafood salad and we shared them. The food was ok not like the best thing ever. Our bill was over $80 for my husband and I with 2 drinks, 2 meals and a side salad. Kind of pricey but ok if the food is good. I'd call it more if a $50 meal ;) We came back this morning for a free breakfast buffet that we got through the hotel. We got seated in the same seats as last night but this time the window was closed and the heaters were blazing. Once we got them to turn it off so it wasn't 900 degrees it was great! I was excited to see melons in the buffet until I tasted them. Watermelon was old and kind of slimy. Ick! Cantelope wasn't food at all. The cute little waffles they had were good but would have been better if they were warm. The potatoes were fantastic! Overall it's not a bad place but I'd recommend somewhere else for dinner unless you like snooty staff and overpriced meals.
I took my mom there tonight for dinner. It was pretty good. Service was fairly slow. They were in no hurry to get us out of there that's for sure. I ordered the new York steak. If I pay $40 for a steak, I want it to be just damn delicious. They out McCormick steak seasoning on it and call it good. I made the same steak at home last week for $7. My mom got the pork chops which she says were really good. By the time they got us our food it was a little later than we expected so we are fairly quickly. I handed get my card right when she brought the bill and mentioned politely we needed to go. I got the bill added the tip without hardly looking and, signed it, and we were on our way. I got home a few hours later and looked at the bill and they had added 18% gratuity to the check for a party of two. Are you serious? I called them and they apologized but could do nothing. I don't mind tipping and tipping well, but not almost 40% on a $70 meal with service that is mediocre at best. I will probably but be back for a long while because of this. If you go, make sure to check the bill.
The good: Great views from the restaurant. Really great breakfast which is free if you stay at the best western. omelet station gets a little busy but it's worth the wait. Everything seems pretty clean and the place is nicely decorated. The only reason why I gave it 2 stars instead of 0. The Bad: Evening customer services sucks. I order a steak medium well and it came as rare. I posted pictures on how bloody this steak was. It was mostly fat. For a $$$$ the quality of dinner was like sizzler's. I took half of it back to the hotel to microwave it but when I saw it the next morning, I almost hurled. I had to wait 10 minutes to get a steak knife. It's not like they were busy, being the most expensive place in town, there was no one really there. The wait staff just doesn't care about you. It was impossible to get service. When it came time to write the tip, the philippino waitress stood right next to me while I was adding up the credit bill and started making excuses why she should get more. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!

Recently renovated and it shows. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Our room had a decent size fridge and microwave which is very convenient if you are looking to save some $$$ on dining. The only thing preventing me from giving four stars is the fact that the rooms don't have coffee makers, so I have had to shell out about $5 a day for a coffee and a refill. One perk you might not find elsewhere, is that you can use their WiFi in your hotel room; even though it isn't advertised. (That is where I am Yelp'ing from now)
This is an average place to stay for a good price. It's in a good area, the rooms are clean and you will feel safe enough. We stayed with kids and there is a nice petting zoo next door which actually turned out to be a highlight for the trip (for the kids, at least). You will also get 10% off at the Pioneer Restaurant which is again - average - or maybe better than average if you stick with hamburgers and fries. The pool was nice and not crowded and the morning coffee on-site (at a cost) was good enough too.
This was a surprise find for us as we booked this via Travelocity. The room was small and quite squeezed (as compared to the other 4 places we went through) but VERY well decorated, furnished well. We love this place and will be back. There is free WiFi (no password needed). There is a microwave and a mini fridge so we can store cold drinks for the hikes in the Zion National Park. The room looks new and very well made. They have good cable TV (Sony Vega 27" CRT). The room is well lit and very good air conditional machine. Bed was big, high and perfectly firm, soft pillows and all. By the way, the front office has a small coffee shop too and an Internet cafe for those with no laptops. There is a nice big pool (12meter) the back with hot tub but no wifi signal back there. Negatives, water is too soft which means we waste much more water to get the soap off. We got the top floor luckily because the floor squeaks. Sorry for the folks downstairs. Although this place has a restaurant across the parking lot, breakfast is not included but they do give us a 10% discount coupon on any thing served there. We had dinner and it was ok. Big portions if you like that. Restaurant review will be a separate entry than this. We would go back there if we make another trip to Zion. We paid $110/night in late June 2010 By the way, this review is for the lodge, not the next door restaurant.
