My little family recently embarked on a cross-country road trip. We actually did not eat out at too many restaurants, as we were trying to stay on somewhat of a budget, but when you're in the middle of nowhere Ida/Ut and tired of consuming turkey jerky and granola bars, you'll try anything--and along came Mollie's! This place is actually pretty good. The service was friendly, the booths were clean and the food was satisfactory. They make their own strawberry jam--and it was tasty! Really, though, all I have to say is that as much as my Cattleman's breakfast hit the spot, complete with delicious sausage links recommended by our pregnant waitress, I wish I had ordered the fluffy pancakes that the guy two booths down was SO excited about that he felt the need to call home about it and rave ever so enthusiastically about how--and I'm paraphrasing here--he just had to find any excuse to get to Mollie's for the fluffiest, most tastiest pancakes around, which is not really saying much, since this place did not seem to be around much else. I don't know, if you find yourself on I-84 and passing through Snowville, UT, hit up this little dive...and order the fluffy pancakes!

If you are going by Snowville, UT Mollie's Cafe is a must stop. Food was good old home cooking with very friendly staff. I would stop there again.

The perfect diner. Everything homemade right down to the jam and salsa. The chicken fried steak breakfast is awesome. Then again so is the pork chops. I make a point of stopping regardless of if I have the time.

If you are driving along I-84 through Utah, do yourself a favor and get to Mollie's. This place has great food, great atmosphere, and it's run by 3 generations of spunky women who will truly make your meal, if not your trip, totally unforgettable.

I had a slice of their coconut cream pie in celebration of my birthday, it was the best ever!! The only thing that would have made it better was if they could have answered the lake level for viewing the Spiral Jetty nearby.....

Excellent breakfast with homemade strawberry jam. Good coffee. Friendly staff and customers. Don't discuss politics with them unless you are a Rush Limbaugh-Fox News type.

This is a classic diner, Coca-cola on tap, homemade pies for desert.... And a pleasant staff. The food is hands down excellent, and they serve real coffee that your grandad drank! If you are ever passing through, as the community isn't that large and doesn't offer much "entertainment", I highly recommend stopping as this is a definitive stop for myself when I pass through again!

This crazy little place gets a 4 because of the character and personality. They were slammed but they handled it like pros. The food was really good and a great value. The patty melt on marble rye was really tasty and the homemade cherry pie was excellent. There are several cons. It's a rural country diner and subject to flies. The men's room reminded me of a scene from the movie from dusk till dawn! Just not right. I will say that it looks like they might be doing some remodeling. Some of the locals gave us strange looks while we were there which seemed rude.

Unique little place in the middle of nowhere which makes the experience more exciting. The employees are friendly as well. This diner looks like it has been around a while which adds to its charm. Now, the food is good and you'll find some things you don't get many places but the real thing you wanna go for is the dessert. Homemade pies, cinnamon rolls, etc. The portions are good size too. If not maybe a little too large.

The quintessential small town cafe. I had the chili, my daughter had a cheeseburger. Good food, good price. Then there's the homemade pie...... Oh, yeah. We liked it!

My husband and I travel to a lot of small towns for our business so we eat at a lot of small town diners. We had the best home cooked breakfast. My husband's sirloin steak was cooked to perfection and was juicy and delicious. My bacon and eggs were cooked exactly the way I like it. Jenny our waitress, she took our order right away and kept our coffee cups full. She had us in stitches, she was very quick witted and funny. The food and service was great. Our food took maybe 10 minutes longer than normal but was worth the wait. We would eat here again.

Typical small town dinner in the middle of nowhere. Food was average, but dessert was delicious!

Just delicious, fresh, prepped-and-cooked-to-order, home style cooking. Hot coffee, perfectly brewed. Yes, there is a short wait but this is not 'fast' food from the microwave. This food is as good as it gets in a tiny rural town. Can't wait to stop again! AND the customer right before me bought my breakfast, unknown to me, and so I also 'paid it forward.' Wow--I think this place is terrific (but not much to look at.) Take a chance--it's worth it.

We couldnt stay, there was a 90 year old looking lady working the kitchen and the service was incredibly slow despite a lack of customers. We sat and waited, deciding to leave and keep heading down the highway by the time the waitress came to greet us with menus.

  • Patrick S.

Yes, the clearly experienced gal in the back is Mollie and she cooks great chow. Really great chow. We made out way in before the dinner crowd, which began trickling in before we finally finished our pie. Not sure there is fast food in Snowville, should stop in Ogden if that's the extent of your dining expectations. Everything awesome. Will stop every time we are passing through.

Stopped here on the way to Texas only place open or within miles. First it took waitress 20 minutes to even give us menus or water! It was 95 degrees out in a non air conditioned restraunt. We then ordered and it took them an hour to bring us our food! It was blan and not good! For 2 adults and 3 kids it came out to $45 dollars it's over priced and not worth it! Keep driving on to next town!

This is absolutely my favorite restaurant in Snowville, Utah... population: 167. Two eggs, two sausage, toast, pie, coffee. Exactly what I needed.

  • Robert D.

Came based on the great reviews, and the place deserves every bit of them. Our group had omelets, chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy. The omelets included the veggy omelet (which was rated 5-stars plus), the snowville omelet (5-stars). The biscuits and gravy got a "first rate". The chicken fried steak didn't work for one of the party who was from South Carolina. The fruit pies (cherry, strawberry-rhubarb and boysenberry) were all awesome. The coconut cream was good.

Stopped in Snowville because there was a sign that said "Food". Mollies was not on the sign, but when we got into town we spotted Mollie's and essentially flipped a coin to choose where to eat. The place was like something out of a movie. Country music in the background, a bunch of ranchers replete with cowboy hats and leathery faces at one end of the restaurant. The requisite kitsch and cute sayings on the walls. We were seated by a friendly woman and got down to it. The menu says everything is home made. We tried the chicken noodle soup. Yes, it was homemade, and the best I've ever tasted. Even the noodles were homemade. Had the chef's salad - good but nothing big city frou frou or stellar. The hamburger steak was good - with homemade mashed potatoes and gravy. And the dinner roll - we nearly fought over it. All excellent! Then there was the pie... Homemade cherry pie. Oh, Honey... So good that we took also ordered a piece of the strawberry rhubarb pie to go. Great portions - we had enough leftovers for another meal - and fairly priced. We come through this area about once per year, and next time we *will* stop again. Wish they were closer to home.

I've been going to this place about once a year since I was 8 but more recently there has been about a 5 year period that I haven't been. I just made it back and I was surprised. It seems as thought they have upped their execution of the food. Before, maybe it was because I was young and didn't notice, but it seemed like just your typical diner food but they have upped there game from what I remember. In that part of Utah you don't have much choice but there are two restaurants here to pick from. Mollies is the only one that is open on Sunday though. If you want to see a group of farmers that go to one side to eat everyday, this is the place.

This is the place where I ate the best hamburger I've ever had. And I don't even like hamburgers at all usually. While I was there, there was a big table of ranchers discussing various bovine issues such as the hormones to inject into their cattle to make them fertile and the right kind of bull semen to buy. Even so, that burger was absolutely delicious. This place is about as real as it gets.

Love this place! I am a long haul truck driver and stop at Mollies every chance I get. Great food, good price, truck parking in the back. You may even be lucky enough to catch Molly in there harassing the local cowboys. Thanks Mollie's staff for a kitchen away from home and great value. Car Hauler

On our cross-country trip, needed breakfast and LOVED this place! I'll admit (reluctantly) that I can be a little snobbish about food when I've been on the road too long. I was tired, grumpy, and needed a pick-me-up, and this place delivered. Great food, quick and friendly service - highly recommended to fellow travelers.
