A new local favorite! Stopped in for lunch after seeing 50% Off All Specialty Sushi Rolls. The interior is extremely clean and the staff are really friendly. Refreshing to hear classic rock playing instead of traditional Japanese restaurant music. Comfortable seating and they keep the temperature nice and cool, perfect for an almost 100 degree summer day! We ordered Spicy Calamari, which was cooked perfectly. Pepper Jack, deep fried jalapeño peppers with cream cheese, spicy tuna, and eel sauce was the show stopper. Crisp peppers and full of flavor. I could eat a whole meal of these! Sushi Vampire, California Morning, Philadelphia Rolls - Tasty and Fresh! See photos of everything we ordered. We will be back. Just love finding a new favorite place. So glad we stopped for lunch.

Hubby and I stopped in awhile back for lunch. We did the All-You-Can eat deal. The rolls were pretty tasty....fresh tasting as land-locked fish can get, and the waiter and sushi chef were fun. The Pepper Jack is a MUST.

Everything we had was extremely bland. There was no real flavor. The Udon, the Tempura, even the Chef's Special Sashimi. It was a major, and pricey, let down.

Good! This place has good food, good service, good ambiance. You should try. if you have any complaints they will for free re-pair your food. We only had one one time and was pleased with that. love the rolls good size, good flavor, good price. Not your run of mill Utah sushi place.

I was a little unsure because the outside looked pretty old and it's real dim. I went inside and the waitress was real sweet! She gave my friend and I great service but the thing is...when we got our rolls...we barely had any meat in our rolls. It was not enough for that price! I'd understand if it was cheaper....it wasn't that great, I wouldn't go back.

Good sushi, but for the $$$ I would rather go to Sushi Ya in Layton which is yummy yum and isn't very pricey.

This place is not too crowded during lunch, so I didn't expect much on my first visit, but the food turned out to be a surprise. It was a lot better than the ones I had in Osaka Sushi down in the Layton. The tonkatsu was very good and was not dried like other places in the area. Their lunch box is decent with very good meats. The sushi rolls tasted ok and they didn't use fresh fish. The place is clean enough and service is fairly decent. I'm looking forward to try their other dishes and maybe other sushi rolls.

Took our college aged daughter and her friend there for her birthday. Had a great time trying the all you can eat options. Great place for a newbie to sushi.

Since I last ate at Midori Sushi, they have started doing all-you-can-eat. Warning lights went off in my head as I saw the all-you-can-eat sign as I pulled into the parking lot, but since we had eaten there a year or two ago and had a good experience I though it would be okay. I judge all sushi joints by their nigiri. This place failed. The size of the fish was unbelievably skimpy. The fish was about 1/4 of what you would expect. I give them two stars because they aren't as bad as sushi ya.

We go here at lease once a week. Awesome fresh sushi. The Funky Vegas is a delight for the taste buds.

My husband took me here for my birthday, and it was a pleasant surprise. We've done most of the other sushi places in the Ogden area, so he decided to take me somewhere new. I wasn't disappointed. The place is small and quaint, but it was very good. We had warm and tasty miso soup, and I tried the calamari roll and a salmon roll. Both tasted fresh and delicious. Husband had a bento box with grilled salmon (so good!) and grilled chicken, which was pretty average. We also shared the purple haze sake, which was a good recommendation from our server. Overall, I think for the price (our entire meal, including sake, came to about $40) you can't go wrong with this place. We had good service, a great meal, and cozy atmosphere.

I travel a lot and love Sushi. While at home I normally go to Windys Sukiaki (highly recommended) but thought we'd try something different this time. I'm glad we did. Midori is kind of just a little hole in the wall but the food was fantastic. Would recommend it to anyone. Fresh fish, moist rice, good selection of rolls. A new favorite for sure.

Who knew this would be such a gem!?!? Excellent flavours with superb prices! Try the Sushi Vampire!....not only for the name and presentation but well worth the price. They were very accommodating to substitute an item and it turned out so delicious! Small dining area yet clean. I look forward to returning soon.

Though very spoiled by sushi selection in SoCal, I was very pleased with my experience at Midori. So pleased in fact, that I actually took my time to write the review (time on the road is limited, you know). Sashimi was well presented, fresh and delicious. Prices were very reasonable. Sushi snobs will definitely enjoy. P.S. Amex is accepted, which is a plus.

I was pleasantly surprised. The menu was good and the service was great!! We had the sushi and a main entree. Our sushi chef was not as friendly as some other places we've been, but overall it was good and not too expensive for the amount of food.

If you have a craving for sushi on Monday (Tona in Ogden is closed) then this place may work for you. I don't think that I will ever return unless I am really hard up for some mediocre sushi. We had a spider roll that was inedible, the other rolls were not ggreat either. The service was good and the interior was nicely decorated but the sushi needs a major overhaul.

I love this place. Incredible sushi, so delicious! The best in the state. Very friendly employees. Fresh fish and beautiful rolls made with love. Would definitely recommend.

I had a client that said this place was really good so we decided to check it out. The place is fairly small and only had a couple of seated tables and one larger party of about 8. They offer a pretty extensive menu, which had a liquor section on it. We ordered Saki but they don't have their liquor license yet. I guess its nice to know what they want to carry. We ordered three sushi rolls, a hand roll and one appetizer. Overall I would say the food would get about four stars. Some of the rolls we ordered were over sauced, one had way too much cream cheese and not enough fish. My rating of two stars is because of our service. It was HORRIBLE! Food took a while to come out. We were pretty much ignored the entire evening. We both had empty waters when our food came out. It didn't get refilled until the end of the meal. I had to ask for a refill as our server ran by our table and it took them over 10 minutes to get back to our table. Which was served by another server. She asked if we were ready for our check, said she would go get it. We waited another 15 minutes, it never came. She even came over and bused the table right next to us and walked away with out even blinking an eye that we were still waiting. Our original server was at the cash station when we checked out and asked how everything was. We told her it was "alright". She immediately stated "because of the service". We were honest about our experience. She did take 10% off of our ticket. Seriously, If you see a problem then fix it. They only had two server on a Friday night. They really needed at least three. Please don't tell me that the servers want more table so they can make more money and that is why you only have two tonight. I don't care. You're not going to make good tips if you are giving crappy service to your patrons. Its unfortunate, the place has potential. We live in Ogden. Needless to say, we are not going to go out of our way to come back here.

I go to Midori's probably once a month. Service has improved greatly over time. I go to Midori's because it's close to home, and the sushi is pretty good. It's fresh, most importantly. My only complaint would be the portion of fish to rice. It seems they skimp on the fish. I say if you're going to do sushi, then do it right. I lived in Japan for a year and a half. They never skimped on the fish.

It is a not big Sushi bar-style restaurant, smaller than So-delicous nearby, but has its specialty. I did not try Sushi rolls this time, and ordered Seafood fried noodle instead. Maybe it was not a right decision, but it really stimulated my enthusiasm for cooking seafood fried noodles myself tonight. Although I am not a huge fan of this restaurant, I feel a certain group of American really like the place. And I feel a little bit weird to listening to the songs of Korea Drama in this Sushi bar place!

I like this place. I have been a sushi addict for years and have been to tons of places. They recently went half off. I love their quality and I have never had bad fish. The food is fresh and prepared quickly. I feel like I get a good value for the money. They have quite a few regulars. The manager always comes to chat when I am there.
