I couldn't be happier with my breakfast today at Little Wonder. Genuinely friendly service, great prices, delicious food. I had the $5.79 breakfast plate, which had 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, toast, and very good home fries style potatoes. This restaurant is located in a very quaint/cute area of old downtown Richfield.

My parents and I came here while on the road to Colorado. Little Wonder cafe looked decent, so we decided to stop for breakfast before hitting the road. The decor is very quirky and cute. Lots of old antique clocks and paintings as well as name placards of where famous people sat! (i.e: Selena Gomez and Stephen Kind apparently...) We were greeted by a nice waitress who immediately brought us coffee. All in all, the staff was very nice here, but unfortunately the food is not comparable. The coffee was very bitter and burnt tasting. I managed to drown out that taste with copious amounts of sugar and fake cream. We a decided to order omelets to hopefully tide us over for a while. I had the veggie omlet with peppers, mushrooms, onions and three different types of cheese. Well, the cheese ended up being several slices of Kraft singles and what tasted like Velveeta, yuck!!! The vegetables were overcooked, not to mention the mushrooms were canned. Everything was just very oily all the way around. Little Wonder Cafe, do everyone a favor and use real cheese and veggies in your food! It tastes phenomenally better! Sorry Little Wonder, I don't plan on visiting again.

We were driving from Moab to Zion and found this "restaurant" on Yelp. We are both vegetarians so finding food that fits our criteria while being on the road is challenging. I ordered the "veggie burger" which consisted of a "patty" that at best resembled a low end frozen version. It was tasteless and not fit for human consumption - hence I gave it to our dog. My husbands grilled cheese was better, but the American cheese or whatever it was, was also tasteless. If you're in a pinch and require food IMMEDIATLY (aka desperate) then go with low expectations.

To start the day off good I let my 7yr old decide between Small Wonder cafe and main street grille. He picked Small Wonder, big mistake! Neither kid liked the pancakes, and everything else was average at best....next time, Main Street Grille!

This place definitely deserves 5 stars. The Little Wonder Cafe is a small town wholesome little restaurant with quite a good amount of options on the menu. We came here for breakfast after searching the town for breakfast options and boy did we choose right. I had the ranch style breakfast which included -4 sausage rolls -4 bacon strips -hash browns -eggs (got mine scrambled but you can get it any way you want) I also got the French toast. All good choices. Now to review the food, Ranch style was a good choice for the money, at close to $9.75. -sausage rolls Good tasting but a bit greasy, but what can you expect, -bacon strips Good well cooked and crispy. -hash browns Tasty and great with ketchup -eggs Scrambled and also a bit greasy. -French toast Yummy and sweet good to offset the saltiness of the ranch style plate. Overall good tasting food that tastes better than most! The staff was friendly and they have these placards that show what celebrities ate there. Best part Selena Gomez ate there ;)

I enjoy restaurants that are #1. Not a franchise. #2 have a sense of permanence. #3 Have a local flavor as opposed to a corporate image. The Little Wonder scores on all three. It is a great place to visit for breakfast, absorb some of the local color of the assembled diners, admire the schlocky decor, and get a good value, large serving, hearty simple breakfast. I think it has been in business forever, when enroute from Arizona to Logan we always try and have a morning meal here.

Great breakfasts. Served all day as is Main Street Grill across the street. Love the hash browns, good ham. Good soups. Breakfast is around $8. Coffee is OK. Early Bird dinner specials are a good value. Try the tempura cod! Had the fried pork chop and it was frozen mystery meat.

Service great. Tried the pancakes this time..they were a little off. The kids said they are normally better. Today kind of salty and could be cooked more. I'll stick with French toast next time. Coffee isn't high grade, but not bad. The prices are GREAT. Don't forget the bacon =)

Very excellent service and a lovely, quaint atmosphere. I like all the clocks! The food was pretty bland though. I suppose it wasn't awful for the price and they likely cater to an older retirement crowd. Some locals told me they were great for breakfast but I had dinner.

Great home cooked meal! We had the chicken fried steak and the ribeye steak. I also recommend the homemade soup they had beef and vegetable, it was delicious. It was such a great value, we are going back tomorrow morning for breakfast.

I didn't have high hopes after reading a few of the reviews but was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. We had breakfast and it was perfectly good. The service was attentive and friendly.

We eat here every time we are in Richfield, UT, and it is always good! Just straight forward diner food. Great breakfasts, with the usual cast of characters- eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and a couple of omelettes on the menu. Lunch is also good, with your basic hamburgers, fries, BLT's and salads. It's nice to know that you can find somewhere that is always consistant, and reliable. This is such a small town, it's also nice to see how almost everyone knows everyone in this place, and when strangers like my family and I walked through the door they look at you like you have a third eyeball growing out of your forehead.

We came here in our way back home to California. The service was fast, but the food was just awful. We both ordered breakfast items. The eggs were undercooked and hash browns for the both of us, the bacon was way too salty - so salty, I had to keep drinking my coke to wash it down. They have a sign inside that reads out rules, one of which is "no complaining". Considering the quality of the food, I see this as an insult, since they're basically telling me that I cannot even complain about how raw those eggs were. I would not go back again, nor can I recommend it to anyone.

Chicken fried steak kicks butt! Fries and Utah fries sauce a must. Cafe Wonderful as far as I'm concerned. Yaaaas!

Food is just ok, open on Sundays and pretty cheap is this places selling point. I just ate one of the specials, biscuits and gravy with some eggs. The gravy was runny like water and flavorless and the eggs came out cold. I had eaten here before and mostly because its open on Sunday. The food is a roller coaster of ok and so-so like a lot of small town Utah town restaurants. It's not that the food is bad it's just not great.

While stuck in Richfield with a broken down truck we stumbled upon this place in the cute downtown area. I got the Swiss omelet and biscuits and gravy . The hubs got the meat loaf lunch special. I love places that serve breakfast all day. I'm taking a way one star for the cramped atmosphere and horribly uncomfortable booth benches. Don't come here if you have a bad back!

2nd time. 2yrs ago, stopped for breakfast, this rated high, as my over medium were cooked perfectly. Usually my eggs are over easy. Today, stopped at lunch. Had the patty melt which was the special today. 10 stars for the salad only because it had sliced beets instead of cukes. Only issue was the "fresh cut" french fries were not cooked very well. Limp and soggy, kind of like missing the second fry step. Otherwise, this coul be a DDD stop.

I love this place! After being on the road for ~8 hours my wife and I were looking for a place which wasn't a chain and had home style food. This Cafe was a short walk from our hotel (Quality Inn) and was just what we were looking for! We walked-in and felt like locals, maybe because we were surrounded by them (a good sign in my book!) We had dinner and had no complaints (good Chicken Fried Steak, though not the best I've ever had). Staff was friendly, service was quick and we left feeling full, satisfied and a little sad we don't have a place like this where we live!

The Little Wonder Cafe was one of the few places recommended by AAA travel guide but honestly I didn't leave feeling like the cafe was anything spectacular. It's really just your average basic local cafe serving the basics at pretty cheap prices without the fancy shmancy stuff. I think that it was nice to try out but I don't think I'd want to stop by again for just regular American food, i.e. simple salad, spaghetti and meatballs, BLTs. Service was very slow, but when food finally did arrive the portions were sort of on the large side. Booths seemed all filled up but then again I wasn't sure if most people were like my party, i.e. just passing through town or not.

One star should say enough. Driving through the country on our way back home to California. One waitress for a full-house, and I think she was about to explode. The food was awful, the wait was awful, and wanting to commit murder after a meal has never been so palpable. The menus smelled like nasty cologne and the coffee was salty, even with substantial amounts of cream. Also, we felt nauseous, and the bathroom was creepy as well. Though they do have a nice collection of mermaid pictures. GO TO THE PIZZA HUT or bring your own grill. Not that I've heard anyone say, "YEA, Utah has some great food"... but still.

Not your typical chinese american food kind of place, although you can order that stuff here. branch out a little and try the more chinese items, lke the hot pots. very affordable, and come as you are, whatever that may be. a simple place for good grub!

Possibly the worst food experience I've had. After a day of driving through the beautiful scenery of southern Utah, this meal was a sour end to a wonderful day. We ordered a vege-burger and a regular burger. The vege-burger was moist, dank, and tasted like what vege-burgers tasted like 14 years ago before figured out how to make them palatable. The regular burger was obviously frozen, as it had the edges of a squat cylinder. What was left of the disc after the cooking process was a tough disc of carbon. My wife and I returned to our hotel room to recuperate after this meal. Our stomachs were left in tatters by this meal. We went out of our way to give a local non-chain cafe a chance, and were not rewarded by our efforts.

I am from California and we stoped in Richfield on our way to Colorado. All of us were very hungry mind you so even blah stuff would taste better. I had pasta which kind of tasted like pasta roni and over salted chicken. My mother and her friends were excited about eating chicken fried steak. Sadly to say it was way to heavy and the gravy wasn't even the white gravy. It was gravy out of the can. Even the carrots were caned carrots. Yes it would be like my mother's cooking only if she cooked like a typical LA mom and put anything in the microwave and from a can. My father had the fish and chips. It wasn't to bad. In fact I think it was the best pick out of our dinners. The breakfast items looked a lot more yummy then our dinners.

I've eaten at this little home town cafe many times over the years as my travels take me through central Utah. The atmosphere hasn't changed and the food quality is consistently good. Went through Richfield two weeks ago and enjoyed another good meal. I suggest the Kurt Russell booth or the Robert Wagner and Jill St. John booth.

This restaurant is listed in the AAA TourBook as a viable dining option, so we exited the interstate and stopped here for a family meal. Good food at extremely reasonable prices, they serve breakfast all day, and while nothing really stood out as spectacular (wasn't sure that anything was made from scratch), this cafe is a GREAT alternative to the fast food options along I-70.
