The burgers here are homemade and very delicious. I would definitely recommend everyone to come eat here if you are in Provo. Much better alternative to Sammy's or other burger joints in the area.

Like a lot of others, I got the Stoneman Burger and it was INCREDIBLE! The patty was obviously hand made, and the flavor was awesome. The sauce on the burger was perfect. It didn't over power the burger; it was the perfect complement. The cheese, bacon, and avocado were included in generous portions, only adding to the burger. I got the sweet potato fries, and my friends got the Cajun fries. Both were good, but I enjoyed the Cajun fries more. The only thing missing was more people. I'd hate to see this place go away after eating such a delicious burger. Also, the negative review below saying this place is dirty is absolute crap. We were the only people there, so that may have influenced their ability to keep it super clean, but everything was spotless when we were there. Loved this place!

Having grown tired of chain fare, we've recently embarked upon a quest to identify the best burgers and best pizza along the Wasatch Front, and notably in Utah valley. Joes came highly recommend to us and has good marks on a number of services (including Yelp), so for the night's festivities, we thought we'd give it a try. Not bad--not bad at all. The Good: (1) This is a memorable, high-quality burger and sides. As in, they tasted good, portions were good, the ingredients were fresh and real, and--most importantly--the burgers can't be mistaken for burgers from anywhere else. I find that to be absolutely remarkable, given the number of places across the U.S. I've eaten and the number of burgers I've had. (Most people are probably in the same boat--lots of burgers in their lives, including "quality" burgers at local joints.) Impressive. Unique. (2) The staff is very friendly. They chatted with us, made recommendations, were generally of good humor, and so on. (3) Prices were very, very fair for what's on offer. The Bad: (1) Not really their fault, but has the "Utah valley" feel in spades. As in, mostly empty, zero ambiance, zero "experience" apart from the food. There's just no presence. Put this food in Berkeley or Brooklyn, run by someone from that area and with design, decor, and crowd to match, and they'd be lining out the door to pay twice as much. The food is sort of wasted given the innocuous location and general "big empty" that is this location. (2) No beer. Also a Utah valley standard, but how can you possibly have a burger without a beer? We had to eat, then adjourn to a nearby Center St. pub for drinks. We'd happily have stayed and spent our money here--but no option to do so. (3) Cold. Wife was shivering the entire time. We mentioned it and the staff helpfully told us that it was cold everywhere inside the building. Hmmm. Okay. So--bring a coat? Or a space heater? The Details: We tried the Stoneman and the El Bandito and two kinds of fries and all were excellent. The burgers are like no others we've had--the patties seem to be unadulterated beef and are far larger than the bun--they overflow on all sides and are of irregular shape and thickness. They're actually crisped on the outside and by all rights ought to be vulnerable to criticism of being "dry," but somehow they just plain work within the larger context of the burger as a whole. The toppings are beyond generous, the vegetables fresh, and there's a general "smoky" flavor to everything, as though it's been wood-grilled. Buns are perfect--sizable and substantial, not prone to disintegrate or sop, but at the same time neither dry nor hard. The fries seem to be fresh cut and from very large potatoes, and the spice combinations used were great. Wife found the fry sauce to be inferior, but I didn't think any sauce was needed. All in all, great food--but definitely no "experience" and, given the vast amount of space, spartan furnishings, general emptiness, and cold environs, what ought to be a five-star burger joint is left with four stars because--if we think about it--we'd never come to hang out with friends for these reasons. Instead, it becomes a place to get in, have a quick but great lunch, and get out again--yet this kind of food isn't exactly lunchbreak fare; it's 5-7pm fare, yet we probably won't come back again during those hours because it doesn't live up to the evening experience expectations. The food deserves the beer, ambiance, and environs to make that possible.

Amazing burgers!! Both the Stoneman and the el Bandito are fantastic. Fresh, juicy beef loaded with toppings. Haven't tried anything else yet, but I will definitely be back. Eaten there twice in two days already. Fun, chill place to just sit and hang out with friends, too.

It has a very eclectic interior: furniture and long benches instead of traditional tables. Really friendly staff. I tried the stoneman burger and it was delicious! A little messy, but an amazing blend of flavors. The sweet potato fries were tasty, too.

So good! Very laid back place, super delicious food. I got the hot dog wrapped in bacon (can't remember the name). This hot dog is life changing. So good. I wish I lived in Provo just so that I could eat here everyday. Every.single.day . Service is super friendly and welcoming.

At first I was uncertain about Joe's ambience, but I gotta say, after talking to Joe himself about his recipes, and tasting the Cali Chicken sandwich, fries and an Oreo Shake with real raspberries, my life is changed. This was seriously the best chicken sandwich I can ever remember eating, and Joe makes his sauces from scratch, including a very special salt that goes on everything. The Oreo Shake was so good I'm heading back for more 24 hrs later. Seriously, you've got to try Joe's, if even just for the shakes!

Ordered a Stoneman the other day, easily one of the best burgers I've ever had. Definitely earned a return customer.

I was super skeptical when I walked in. But these burgers are outstanding! I will definitely be back.

Awesome burgers! I'm not a meat fan and rarely have it but their burgers are fantastic. The owner and employees are really nice and the atmosphere is laid back.

Hands down the best burgers in Provo. Locally purchased beef, quality and unique ingredients, and skilled family chefs are what make the burgers so good. If you're into fresh-made french fries, you'd like the offerings here (they come regular, or with various seasonings). If you're into McDonald's style fries like I am, pick one of the other sides (I like the jalapeno poppers and the pork nachos). Employees are very nice and helpful, and the environment is laid back (they have pool, table tennis, and music).

The food alone makes this place worth it. Best burger is the area...I will say is again, the Stoneman Burger, is the BEST BURGER! I about fainted from the very first bite. The atmosphere in the afternoon is dead but I loved the burger. I will be going again. The original style fries were okay, i've had better. I want to try their sweet potato fries next time. My rating may increase as I keep going.

Joe's is "out of the ordinary" They take regular food like burgers and fries and make it.....Better. I personally love the Pico Burger in a Tortilla. Soooo Good! Can't wait to have another. It's all homemade and so fresh tasting.

Awesome hamburgers(get the stoneman!!!!), you can tell that everything is made to order too! The fries are super tasty too :) Defiantly two thumbs up!

The shakes at this place are incredible. Plus the ambiance is just so swaggy. Perfect for a date or bro night.

The Stoneman burger was seriously the best burger I've had in Provo, and maybe anywhere. And the shake was amazing as well. And the fries. Everything, really, was great! Joe's knows quality food.

Joe's is my favorite burger in Provo. Great price. Really great beef. There's really nothing they serve that isn't excellent. Their fries and shakes are also amazing. I wish more people knew about this place. There's hardly anyone there whenever I've gone. If you're in the mood for a burger, don't go spend 11 bucks at a gourmet restaurant. Joe's is better and cheaper. Way better :)

So delicious! There are so many different options that I'll have to go back and try something different each time. Just wish they would have been playing music in the restaurant, but overall it has a great atmosphere and the food was delicious! I'd prefer to go here over Sammy's, Smashburger, or In-n-Out.

Hands down best burger place in all of utah county! This place is a staple for me, my family, and my friends. Their milkshakes are like perfection in my mouth. Seriously, they have the best oreo shake I have ever had. Sammys "famous" pie shakes do not even compare. One of my favorite things about this place is that it is family run and you know that your burger is being made by one of the hilarious brothers. I also really appreciate that if they don't have exactly what you feel like on the menu they are more than happy to take special requests, so refreshing. SUCH GREAT SERVICE! They're relaxed and easy going atmosphere makes you feel like you're part of the family. I had the pleasure of talking to the owner, aka the dad. Great guy and very friendly. Lastly I would just like to recommend, what I think is the best meal, the sloppy Joe and ask for avocado on it, summer citrus mock-tail, candied sweet potato fries (I absolutely love the dipping sauce that comes with it), and for dessert a shake (they use fresh fruit in their berry shakes!) you must try them all. One more thing that I might menation, I found out yesterday that they are closed for lunch (they open at 4) Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday till the end of the summer.

This is my first review ever. That should tell you how impressed I was with the food here at Joe's. The Stoneman burger was Amazing!! My hubby said it's the best $6 burger he's ever had. My girls got the old world burger and I tried that too. Delish. They use quality meat for their burgers. And they are generous with the meat...none of this 1/4 pounder ridiculousness. The buns are amazing. The fresh cut fries are the best I've had. The sweet potato fries are my personal fave. I had the pulled pork nachos last time we were here, and I must say they were super yummy! This place has a cool vibe. I've been twice and will definately be coming back!

I am soooo disappointed. I am usually pretty easy to please. I can handle a little uncleanliness. I can handle a few canned or not fresh ingredients. But this place takes the cake. My husband and I came for dinner. We were very confused on where to go to order. I was talked into trying the Cali chicken sandwich and was told it was not spicy at all. (I have a chronic disorder that is made worse by spicy foods) we were talked into getting the "unlimited" drinks. My apple beer tasted like a mix of Dr Pibb and apple beer. My husbands cup was dirty. The tables were dirty and covered in dead flies. Our fries came out first and they were pretty average, except my husbands fries had some gross liquid or something on them. My chicken sandwich...wow. Where do I begin? FROZEN chicken that was obviously cooked while frozen. Very very dry. Canned pineapple, gross(probably bought frozen) guacamole, a sopping wet and burned bun. And I should have known better than tomtrust someone I don't know, but surprise! It was spicy. So here I am sitting on the toilet reaping my reward. I only ate three bites of my sandwich. My husband says he would have had a better hot dog from a nearby fast food hotdog place. Trust me, DON'T CHANCE IT. If I could give negative stars I would. $20 for mediocrity and unpleasantness. Go to five guys instead.

Amazing food. Have yet to be disappointed. About as close to homemade as you can get! My favorite is the Old World Cheeseburger and always add pickles. The Sloppy Joe is incredible as well. Sweet potato fries are always a must. If you love chocolate shakes be sure to ask for Blake to make them. He adds chocolate chips. I even brought my own the last time because I called ahead and they were out of them. There is an older part of the restaurant that has 4 pool tables. They are open till 1:00am which makes for an awesome late night snack! They are family owned and you can feel the love in every bite.

The fries are truly excellent. It's worth the trip for the fries. I like the idea of "gourmet" burgers, but why can't I just get a cheeseburger? Perhaps it's available as a special order. So, I got the Stoneman burger. It was pretty over the top and really didn't need the sweet sauce. I know that's sacrilege to say in a town that doesn't seems to make a food item that can't be improved without adding a sweet sauce. The patties are obviously patted out and made fresh. They are cooked completely, with no choice given when ordering. Likely, they purchase the beef pre-ground. It was not over cooked for fully cooked. It was moist. The bun is perfect. It's a place I'd go out of the way to get to. I have no idea where people park if the place is busy. Fortunately the time I'm interested in eating there isn't going to be times they are likely to be busy. No beer so no worries about me being there for dinner.

I LOVE spicy food and the stupid burger that tells you not to order because it has ghost peppers is soooooo tasty!!!! Only do order if you can handle 10 stars of spiciness! Staff are friendly and a great place to hang out there's a huge back room with pool and stage for shows! Ask about their sliders! ( mini burgers super tasty they even have asian inspired ones! )

At noon, the place was so empty I wondered if the sign was left "open" by mistake. Still I wandered in. I was greeted quickly enough, and there was chit-chat as I examined the menu. I was all too aware of how desolate the place was. Still, there is no courage without fear, so I bucked up and ordered a Stoneman and BBQ fries. I aim to misbehave. The wait wasn't overlong, and while I sat some other customers wandered in. When my burger arrived, the room had a bit of a vibe ... some vivacity that was so sorely lacked. But the real life was in that burger. The patty was thick, and gloriously crispy at the edges. A myriad sauces jumbled into a flavor cacophony to make a wild, but wonderful symphony of flavor. The fries were okay--they were fine. When I left I was happy, and Joe's seemed like a real burger joint instead of a mistaken "open" sign. The kind of place I'll go again.

Burgers: I really liked all the fun toppings and combinations that were available. The burger had the taste and texture of real meat like you would make at home, mmmm. My husband's only complaint was that his was too big :) Fries: Our fries were just ok, a bit over cooked. I'm pretty sure they would have made us new ones, but I was a bit too lazy. Shake: AMAZING! We had a nutella/oreo shake and it was delicious. I would definitely suggest that one, though I'm sure the others are good as well. Service: Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We ordered with Joe and he was great to talk to and helpful in suggesting things we might like based on our preferences. The food came pretty quickly. Ambiance: I was totally taken with the bowling lane tables. It's a quiet little place (though I think we went on a week night) that I think could be really fun with friends especially if you like pool.

Great Food! I had the Stoneman burger and it was amazing, plus the fries are very good as well. Its not just a restaurant, it has tons of pool tables and ping pong tables and darts. It is a great place to just hang out with friends. I didn't even know it was there but Im glad that I found it.

My husband and I have lived next to Joes for a year now and we had no idea what we were missing! a friend told us about it and it is spectacular. The Oreo hazelnut shake is amazing and a definite must. The staff is so friendly and warm to everyone that steps in! I have absolutely no complaints and nothing but good recommendations for this place.

The Hamburger I had was really good. Not a fast food burger at all. I went because my friend told me it was the best burger he has ever eaten. The day after I went there I found myself craving it again. I have been there 4 times in the last month. The fries were good too. My friend had the Joe Dog he liked it more than a Jdawg. The location is a bit odd, it is attached to a pool hall, but that's ok. When I feel like a good, quality burger it is where I will be going from now on.

  • Logan M.

This place is great and the price is unbeatable for a burger of this quality! The burgers and fries were delicious, and their selection of sides was impressive. I got BBQ fries and Chipotle fries, and they were both really good! Also, it was was fun to play pool while we waited. My only suggestion for Joe's is that they expand their entree menu a bit; otherwise, great place. I'll definitely be going back!

I love Joe's! Their burgers are amazing and I haven't had it, but I've heard that the sloppy joe is the one of the best. The oreo hazelnut shake isn't on the menu, but it's freaking delicious. Please go drink it.

Not restaurant quality. Overpriced. Not the worst burger I've had, but not anywhere near the best. Others in my party agreed.
