Fuego is a spacious eatery in a hard to find location in the "downtown" area. That said, it is worth the trip "off the beaten path" to get some of the tastiest pie in Park City. Pizzas are in one size - and range from $9 (basic pie) to $15ish. Toppings are additional, so if you add black olives to your basic, it's $1.75 for that extra topping. I ordered one of the house specials: with feta, sundried tomatoes, fresh spinach, and garlic. The crust was perfect, the pizza flavorful. However, as I picked up a slice, it seemed to be swimming in a pond of garlic butter (!?). My son, a pizza critic (see his blog: thepizzakid.blogspot.com ) said his was "one of the best pies ever" but was not fond of the overly garlic taste. Waiter Andrew was attentive enough. Lunch special on Wednesday's only: Pies are 1/2 price IF you but a drink. Soda is $2.50 each. Good deal for a delicious meal. How to make it 5 stars? With that much garlic, it would be nice to be given some mints. Any kind of mints. Thankfully, vampires will keep their distance.

Tilted Smile by Uinta is awesome. The shrimp bake appetizer was excellent, the Prospector pizza was a winner with my daughter and the service was great. Next time we're out here we'll stop by.

Pretty low end pizza, the crust is the problem. There were absolutely no bubbles, it was completely flat. Pretty reminiscent of a tombstone frozen pizza. The toppings were fine, but I couldn't get past the crust.

We stopped in Fuego for Sundance 2013. We wanted to avoid the overpriced places on Main Street and Fuego hit the spot. The Wasatch burger was quite tasty. I also had one of the local Wasatch beers which was quite good as well. All in all I'd definitely recommend this place. Not the best pizza I have ever had but solid and reasonably priced.

I was looking for a Italian place to take the family and found Fuego on yelp. Upon arrival I thought it looked great. We quickly ordered a pizza for the kids and I had the Diavlo ravioli and the wife ordered the special chicken pompei. There is no house bread so that was not good when your starving..The pizza was undercooked and the pizza sauce no good. My ravioli was horrid...The sauce was like a Chipotle be mixed with hot wing sauce and nothing like a real diavlo. Had to send it back, share the so so chicken and chalk it up as a one time loss.

We visited while vacationing in Park City. The place was pretty empty when we showed up, but it was a Monday night. That said, the service was terrible for being only one of three tables. When I am looking around for the servers isn't it obvious that I need something? We split a Spinach and Arugula salad that was good, but I wish there had been more pears and other toppings. Five thin slices of pears was not enough. The pizza selection is huge and we had a hard time deciding what to get. Topping combinations were unique. In the end, the Wasatch was the winner and we weren't disappointed. The website says the pizza is cooked in a wood-fired oven, but it looked like a gas powered stainless steel oven to me. Regardless, the pizza was great and the crust was thin and crispy. We had a bit of a snafu after dinner when a different server took our paid check and didn't return with any change. Ten minutes passed before we flagged down the hostess and got our change back. It was awkward. The pricing was reasonable and the food was good, but the poor service ruined it for me.

Hi everyone, After having to decide which place we would eat we finally turned to yelp. We were a party of 12 so it was difficult to find us a resting spot. I must say this place lived up to their expectations. I ordered the focaccia bread and a soda beverage. After finishing a repeat episode of Star Trek I decided to have myself pizza, so I went to the bistro and pizzeria. We had a nice server by the name of Johnny I now will refer to him as Johnny on the spot. Because of our wait time the owner Kompass an appetizer or two they also offered to buy me a beer, but I told him that I was the designated driver so no thank you. It was a nice pleasant experience coupled with a sociable activity and atmosphere. I will be sure to revisit this location and bistro when I am back in the Park city area it's a long ways from Southern California but I felt right at home thanks Johnny

This was a great place to go during Sundance. You don't need reservations and dinner is priced well, which is hard to find in Park City during Sundance. The pizza was really good. In fact we went here once for dinner and once for lunch. Be aware that the portions are pretty big, so you can share a pizza and a salad and it will be plenty of food. Only thing I wouldn't give a high rating on was the artichoke hearts. It was not the best dish.

  • Lisa H.

Eh it was okay. Crust was too hard and not a lot of toppings. Couldn't taste much of the sauce. We also got the ravioli and it tasted like it had been frozen for a while. The sauce for ravioli was tasty. Based on pizza I'd pass next time.

  • Andy M.

Food is really good. Service seems off for the atmosphere, bit slow but professional. Prices are reasonable. Ended up having dinner there 3 times. The bistro chicken salad was good enough to have three times. I'd add some dried cranberries to it for a bit more acid, but that's all. Will likely go again on the next trip.

Went on a pretty slow night mid-week and it was pretty good. Brushetta was very good as was the pizza (lots of toppings). Alfredo was pretty good but the alfredo itself was just kind of bland to me. Nice portions and nice staff.

Unbelievable. Our server, CJ, was flawless. From the drink suggestions to the trained and honed table-side manner, he was amazing. His talents were overshadowed by only the food. Please, read this with absolute sincerity: the ravioli diablo was perfect. It was unmatched. Even through all my trips around Europe, including rustic Italy, I have never tasted anything like this. The lady had the risotto special, and it was great, but even that couldn't stand up to the ravioli diablo. The ambiance should also be mentioned. High ceilings, calming paint, comfortable seating. This has been a haunt of ours before, but usually just for drinks. After tonight's experience, we will not miss another opportunity to eat there.

Some of the best pizza I have ever had and I consider myself a pizza snob and expert. I cooked pizzas in a mom and pop pizza shoppe during high school and college and we made a good pizza. Fuego has good prices, $16 for a 16 inch combo to go, or a 12 inch for $12 dine in. They use fresh ingredients including whole pitted black olives. Just say no to pizza restaurants that use sliced canned olives! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I had to amend my rating from 5 star to 4, and my review. I just had a terrible pizza, a 16 inch Hula carry out combo. It was undercooked and flavorless. I still have great dine in 12 inch pizza on a regular basis. The DV which is pesto based is awesome. I don't know if I will risk another carry out order.

Went here while on vacation..... server was really nice but the food was just eehh( AKA fake). I was disappointed with the pizza crust it seemed fake and pre-made. The Salad was basically a bowl of lettus. I have never been to restaurant that doesn't have carrots or broccoli especially one that serves pizza a salad. Anyways there has to be a better pizza place in Park City.

  • patrick m.

Not a good experience We visited an 80% full restaurant with 3 kids & had to flag down a server after waiting 20 minutes with no service and were told pizza would take 25-45 minutes and that we should order pasta- so we did- waited an hour for our pasta & in the mean time got a 1/2 full martini- food was average service was horrible . Despite the last minute efforts of the manager to fix the problem (gave us a free pizza) we would NOT recommend this place-

  • Bob M.

Great place for locals wide selection of dishes. The prices are reasonable the location is easy to find and not a battle and a friendly staff.

    (5)
  • Jeff B.

We love Fuego! The entire staff, management and ownership is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food is really good and there is a good variety of options, as well as nightly specials. It is a family friendly environment but also has a small bar area if you are looking to just enjoy a drink. I would highly recommend Fuego! You have to try the Fuego Limon for dessert as well!

  • Ian F.

East coast Italian. 'nuff said. You miss those pounded-flat chicken cutlets, perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside? Fuego is, what I consider, North Eastern comfort food and delivers all the favorites as well as some unique dishes that are sure to please. Prices are a tad high but, overall, well below pricey for Park City. I like the chicken dishes the best here but the pizza & pasta are better than average and certainly better than anywhere else on Main Street (Save cafe Terigo). Apart from some seriously flavorful dishes - the Pollo Pompei is one I'd recommend - there is nothing truly remarkable about the dining experience. Service, ambiance and wine/beer list are fine. This is one of Park City's better balances of good food and non-pretentious atmosphere. Will return.

Found this place in the Dishing Park City magazine. The photos made the food and ambiance look really good. Our experience of this place was disappointing. The layout and decor was awkward and inconsistent. The waiters all congregated at a table at the back of the restaurant hanging out and on their cell phones. The portion sizes were enormous and the sauces tasted store bought, not made from scratch. Food was not great. We won't be going back again. We were hoping to have a much better experience overall.

  • Suzanne A.

I always love the food here and would go back again, however, our waiter, Payne, was not very friendly.. Had to flag him down for service more than a couple of times : waited... Waited...waited...he mumbled, did not even look at me when I ordered... Acted like we were an inconvenience . You know, I'm not picky ( been on the business myself), this dude was not a happy camper... Sorry. Food was good but place needs to work on service... Not very attentive.

I ordered 3 pizza, and all 3 of them had their toppings slided to one extreme side as shown in the below pictures yelp.com/biz_photos/fueg… yelp.com/biz_photos/fueg… yelp.com/biz_photos/fueg… yelp.com/biz_photos/fueg… My order number was 8250, and I placed my order around 9:00pm March 20th, 2015. I tried calling the place as soon as I got the order around 9:45pm, but no one picked up. I would like to get either replacement for the messed up pizza or get refund, but I suspect that is not going to happen considering how non-responsive this restaurant is to yelp review...

Great food, great service. Priced right, especially for Park City. Their pollo Pompeii is amazingly flavorful!

The great thing about this place is that it's in walking distance from the place we stayed. The bad thing is The pizza and pasta are over priced for what it was.... Pizza, pasta, and drinks 49$ hmm yeah no thank you might as well gone to Dominos ... Good service from the servers though :D

My wife and I were looking for a reasonably priced place for dinner as we were tired from traveling all day. She saw this place which is in a small shopping center. We checked out the menu on-line and liked what we saw, so we drove over. We ordered a bowl of the tomato basil soup. It was fabulous. It came out steaming in the sunlight, but it wasn't overly hot. It plenty of body to it and it so tasty. I would highly recommend it. We both had the bistro chicken salad platter. The plate was piled so hush we couldn't finish it all. The chicken was grilled just right - warm and crisp, still juicy on the inside. All in all we had a good meal. One glass of wine, one bowl of soup, and two chicken salads for $45. Not bad at all.

  • DK H.

Sometimes the service can be very slow, but the food is always great. And the staff is friendly. My favorite food options are spinach salad, focaccia with cheese, Diablo ravioli & standard spaghetti & meatballs. To me, the red sauce is the key- theirs is yummy. The pizzas are good too- many are tasty. The Caribbean martini is worth it- often get it while I wait for take-out. Overall, I do highly recommend Fuego and I eat there often.

Over cooked cardboard bland pizza. Should have gone elsewhere. Now I see why the place was empty. Felt like the place is way past its prime.

I was staying outside Park City and was trying to find a place that would deliver. I found that this restaurant uses Speedy Fernandez as an intermediary. I should have read the reviews for this establishment closely. The four people in my group all agreed that this was the worst pizzas we ever had. We would have rather had burnt Stouffer's French bread pizza over this place. The dough, cheese, and pepperoni were all disappointing. I agree wholeheartedly with the reviewer from California. We were all hungry and out of desperation only had a few pieces each and rest ended up in the garbage.

Loved this place!! We came here because we had a coupon and were so pleasantly surprised! Our waitress was so nice and told us popular items on the menu. She was patient and attentive. Also, I don't think my water glass was ever less than 3/4 full, they were so on top of things!! We ordered the wasatch pizza and the BBQ chicken and both were delicious!!! Definitely will be coming back!

After a 12 hour drive from CA I just wanted to grab a pizza and get some rest. I ordered a togo pizza over the phone and went to pick it up. The told the hostess I had a pizza to go and my name, it was sitting in a box waiting for me. She handed me the box and I handed her a $20..she says "do you need change?", um yes...it is a $12 pizza and your entire involvement was walking 10 steps to grab the box...odd. Then there was the pizza, I would have better off with a DiGiorno frozen. The crust is a definitely a pre-made frozen slab. Completely flat and dry with the little dots punched into it from the mass production machine. Not a nice thin crust, nor a good and chewy regular crust..more like the 1/4" frisbee crust. Ate 2 pieces because I was really hungry, the rest went in the trash. Bad first culinary experience in Park City...I know, I know, it was just pizza...but bad pizza!!

  • Maverick K.

I would rate it 3.5/5 if there was an option, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and choses 4/5 stars. The service is FANTASTIC and the food is above average, this place is good to mix things up.

We tried the pizza, the lasagna and the spaghetti and meatballs. The only thing worse than the food was Yelp's delivery service.

I ate here twice last week while in Park City on business. Wednesday night, the CEO & President of my company and me had a business dinner. The food was great, service was great and the environment was also great. We were able to conduct a bit of business too. Friday, I ordered carryout. It was a very quick turn around for the food which was really good. I also ordered dessert (cheesecake) which was incredibly freezer burnt. It was so bad that I couldn't even eat more than one bite. For $8, that was really frustrating. Otherwise I highly recommend!

I ordered the Caesar salad and the Fuego Blanco pizza on a Thursday evening to be delivered to a hotel I am staying at. The food came really quick; in fact it said it would take 45 minutes but the delivery was here within 20 minutes. The salad was good and just your basic fast food salad. The pizza was interesting though. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't say it was amazing either. It has a sweet balsamic vinaigrette drizzled on top which was different. All in all, the online ordering was slick, the tracker for your order worked well, the delivery guy was pleasant, food came quick, and it tasted good but not so amazing that would make a point to order it again next time I am in Utah.

Service was terrible, but the food was great. The hostess sat us and promised to bring back some menus. Several minutes later we were greeted by our waiter asking for our drink orders. We still didn't have menus so he went to find them. When he returned he didn't bring the kid menus and disappeared again. We asked to split tickets(only 2 parties) and were denied. Our appetizer made it out about 30 seconds before our food. The Roasted Mozzarella Focaccia appetizer was great. The Meatball Sandwich, and the Chicken Italiano Sandwich tasted great, but the Pesto Penne was an especially good entree. Knowing that they won't split bills is big for us as we usually dine with other families or couples. The service being so lax and uninterested in helping us was also a turn off. The food was good, maybe next time we will just get some take out. I won't be dining there again.

Horrible service. Bland food. Wait staff disorganized. Staff will only run food for their tables causing food to sit for several minutes. Will not be back.

My friend and I were in town and saw the reviews and decided to check it out. We ordered the Spicy Sicilian and the Greek Pesto pizzas and were thrilled at how amazing they both tasted!! The service was nice and quick and we called in 2 nights later for delivery and had another excellent night of food! Highly recommend!!

  • Cassy G.

Great restaurant away from everything else so it was not that busy. The food was good. I had the spaghetti and meatballs, my husband got the alfredo, we also got the cheese pizza. The prices were decent for the amount of food you got. The service was horrible, after they took our order and they delivered just our pasta dishes, we didn't see them for about 5 mins while our pizza sat in the window. We were out of drinks for about half the meal. The waiter came by after we were clearly done eating asking how everything was but left before i could answer or ask for a box.

If you are in Park City for lunch on a Friday, you need to grab their lunch special of Chicken Piccata served with linguini swimming in butter with capers, tomatoes and the tang of lemon. At $8, it is an amazing deal besides being very yummy. Would have liked a piece of bread to sop up the sauce, but probably didn't need it. Their other daily specials are probably very tasty as well.

Hidden gem which I'm not so sure my sis wants me divulging. Hip inside, nice selection of brews and the food is highly recommended if you want to impress visiting guests in Utah. Our group ordered margarita pizzas, Italiano feast pizza and chicken Pompeii. The winners in order are the chicken Pompeii (you'll get you umami :) and Italiano feast pizza. You need to try this place!

This was a great find for dinner! I'm allergic to gluten so I was happy to see they catered to people with allergies! My husband and I went here after a day of skiing and it hit the spot. Loved the ambiance there! For appetizers: we had the Caprese Salad to split and the tenderloin bits. We should have just ordered the Caprese since it was a lot for the two of us. Both of those were very good! I ordered the gluten free Jupiter pie pizza for dinner. Yum! It was so good! My husband had the Chicken Pene Basil Pasta and he loved that! The prices were fair and we highly recommend going there! We will be back on our next trip to Park City!

Warning: Do not order from their Yelp profile! Do not... What a joke. This restaurant has no idea what is going on and after two failed attempts at placing an order, they still didn't get the delivery right.... It never came. Eat24 is also a joke... They messed it up just as bad. I wish I was leaving a review about their food and not their messed up ordering process. It's too bad.... You'd think they would have delivery down... This is park city, lots of travelers from out of town. Wake up.

I had high hopes of getting an above average pizza. My hope was dashed and my sense of taste took a beating. I ordered their pizza and my company had their lasagna. The lasagna was good but the pizza was horrid. First the crust was thin but the problem was it was like eating a over cooked grocery store pizza crust. The BIGGEST problem was the over use of salt. It tasted like the cook put garlic salt on the pizza. My guess it with give it flavor ? The waitress was good. Oh and they automatically put a 18% tip on the bill....not cool.

Food is just fair. Need another pasta place in the area so we have a better choice. The two time have eaten there the food is just warm.. No idea why the only had 3 tables once and two table the last time... My first time the Bud was 3.00 3 weeks latter the Bud was 4.00???? WOW.... was told it was 2015 like I needed a hippy to tell my what year it was. WTF

Excellent food, excellent service, great prices, wonderful restaurant, one of the best off of Main Street. Excellent take out pizza as well. If you don't want to battle the traffic, tourists and prices of Main Street and don't mind slightly off the beaten track, this is a great place.

Came to Fuego's after a screening at the Sundance Film Festival. And because of a tight schedule between films, we told the wait staff we were in a rush to grab a light snack. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. We had our salads and soups in the blink of an eye. The Caesar salads with grilled chicken were excellent and the meatball soup was exceptionally delicious. We couldn't have been more pleased with the bistro. I recommend Fuego's without hesitation. There are no pretenses here of overpriced food. The food is good, the service excellent, and the price very affordable.

Not a bad little joint, ate at the bar and enjoyed a nice pie and a couple local beers. Pizza is thin crust which is how I like it, plenty of fresh choices for topping. overall a great experince

Nice lively atmosphere and good food. They weren't open for lunch on the weekend, but we were glad we went back for dinner. Seems like a great place for groups. We ordered the flat bread appetizer which was a little disappointing, but everything else was great. If you like white pizzas, definitely try the one with balsamic vinegar. It was my favorite. We also like the hula pizza and the wasatch. The pineapple wasn't quite ripe enough on one of the pizzas, but everything else was delicious. It was pretty busy when we went (even though it was an off week for PC) so try to make a reservation if you can.

My friend and I came here last night, and while everything was good, we weren't blown away. We were seated immediately and presented with menus, which featured sandwiches, pizzas, and entrees (mostly pastas). We chose to split The Big Italian pizza and pesto penne. Our food arrived in a timely manner, but wasn't especially exciting. The sausage on the pizza was bland, and the pizza itself was slightly cold. The pasta was okay, but the pesto could have been more flavorful. Our waiter was attentive, though I think we might have been his only table, as in between assisting us he was lounging at the bar with other employees. Our food was taken away almost before we were even done eating, and although there was still a reasonable portion of food remaining, we were not offered a box. Overall, I felt that Fuego lacked flair. Come here for a solid meal, but I doubt it will change your life.

We visited Fuego this past Wed night not knowing what to expect. The restaurant is quite large and nice. The menu not only includes pizza, but also many pasta meals and salads and apps. We went for some wood fired pizza so ordered one, but also ordered the lasagna. Prior to dinner, we had the caprese salad and also the tidbits. The combo of these two apps was awesome. They both came with really good garlic bread, so you could put some of the meat tidbits on the bread with the tomato and cheese and make a sandwich and it was awesome. The pizza was real good, but would have preferred sweet onions that were cooked a bit more. The crust was really awesome on one side, with a bit of a char...should be that way all the way around...but the crust was good. The lasagna was good and had a very thick meat sauce, which is critical for good lasagna. The service was great. There were many people flying around all the time, keeping our water glasses full all the time and ensuring we had what we needed. We left stuffed to the brim and took home lots of leftovers. Would visit this place again!

Ok - do not order through eat24 - it's horrible. I'm not sure if it is the restaurant or the delivery service - but it is horrible. Over 2.5 hrs for delivery of a pizza and lasagna. Yes - 2.5 hrs. If this is due to the restaurant itself - which is who eat24 blamed - then this restaurant should close down and they should find something else to do. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible.

This place is horrible. If you are looking to go out with your friends and split a check you can't do it here. Currently sitting here trying to figure out how we are gonna split this check. The manager is the least helpful person in the entire world to. So if you wanna have a good night don't come here.

My wife and I ate here on our honeymoon... one of the best dining experiences of our trip! Fun atmosphere and great food. The Fuego Limon desert is unbelievably good. Jason, our server, was outstanding and the service really was what made the experience so great.

I wrote Fuego a bad review a while ago. I had one item, it wasn't what I expected. Since then, I have had the chance to try it a few more times and it's really good! I stand corrected and I openly admit that. First off, my favorite lunch item is the Bistro Chicken Salad. How do the get the chicken cooked so tender?? Seriously Fuego, tell me!! It's a BIG Salad, with lots of toppings: candied nuts, blue cheese and a big, thin chicken breast on top. It comes with 2 dressings, a balsamic vinaigrette and a balsamic glaze meant to go over the chicken. So good. Next, the pizza. I've only had one kind, because it's so good I can't bear to try a different one. I always get the BBQ Chicken pizza, I love it, so tasty. I am now a big fan of Fuego! It's great families and groups of friends. And, it's great for to go.

Random find, and do glad we did. Party of 8 seated straight away, friendly and delicious pizza and beer and wine. Would have loved it if there had been bottled sodas too - they just have the "gun" sodas. Recommended.

Ok, my wife has been telling that I need to start telling the world what is good also. Well here is my first good posting. I love food and I love to eat a lot of it. This place has a awesome atmosphere and the staff was really good to us. The food was different from most pizza places I have been but still taste really good. My wife got a salad that was out if this world. We had pizza and some chicken pasta as well. Chicken was a little dry but had a great taste to it. I recommend this place. Really good!!!!

We decided to have 2 appetizers, 1 soup, and 1 main dish - and we shared. We started with the Buffalo Carpaccio. Excellent! Delicate flavor. Small plate. 4.5 stars. Next, the Sauteed Blue Mussels. Excellent. A huge bowl of mussels in a light broth. 5 stars. The soup was the Meatball Fagioli. Lukewarm. Hard, flavorless meatballs. Bland broth. Olive Garden outshines the soup. 1 star. Our main dish was the Shrimp and Clam Lingiuni. Very nice flavor. Nice serving of pasta. Very few shrimp (5) and only chopped clam pieces. 3 star. Service - slow. I actually typed that slowly! 2 star

This place was great and just what we needed after a long flight from the East Coast. The service was super fast and our waitress was very attentive. Like the other reviews have stated, the restaurant is off the main strip so it can be hard to find without directions. The food was great for the price and my husband I left happy and full for under $40. We actually ordered too much food so I would possibly suggest ordering course by course if you were like us and without a refrigerator to bring left overs home to. $40 bought us a pizza, salad, pasta dish, 1 beer and an italian soda (just so you know what that covered).

After trying 25+ restaurants in the Park City area over the past six months, I decided it was time to write some reviews. This is a short review, since I can only speak to the food itself. We used Speedy Fernandez Delivery Service to pick up a flatbread pizza and some pasta for the husband. Both were delicious, and the prices were reasonable. We enjoyed it enough that it's now on our list of places to visit. (And there were several enticing items on the menu.) I suspect that after we visit in person, the rating will go up.

(Jan 2013) I have to say upfront that my meal was gluten free pasta so likely not indicative of what they are known for at this place, pizza. That being said, sadly my gluten free pasta with clams and shrimp was like paste. There were only 5 shrimps and a few clams and the pasta was overcooked so much it looked like mashed potatoes/paste. The pizza looked amazing and the bartender was awesome. Not great for gluten free peeps but otherwise give it a go, but be warned your coat will smell like a pizzeria long after you leave and during busy season, like everywhere in Park City, be prepared to wait a bit for your table.

Food was pretty good. Salad had one piece of tomato which made it awkward for sharing. Pizza crusts were premade (and obviously not in house, think Boboli) Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Affordable prices, really good gourmet pizzas. When I'm feeling naughty, The Spicy Sicily is to die for if you like spicy. For something a little different, order the "Fuego Blanco" with Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, ricotta cheese, drizzled with balsamic reduction. I ask them to add pancetta to it which is a nice addition. When I'm looking for healthy, the Bistro Salad with the balsamic reduction is delicious. The kids always get the spaghetti and meatballs from the kids menu so it keeps it affordable. It's a great family restaurant and you will not walk away hungry. As for atmosphere, I love the nice open feel of it and it's nice to see the wood stove for the pizza.

Fuego was super-convenient, around the corner from the Marriott where I'm staying. Service was friendly, prompt and attentive. I had dinner with a collegue. The wine selection was pretty good. We ordered a bottle of 14 Hands Merlot (yes, I still drink Merlot even though the movie Sideways trashed it.) Kim had the Wasatch pizza. I ordered the Spicy Sicily with two requests: go easy on the jalapenos (doctor says no), and add prosciutto (which they offer.) We both thought the pizza was tasty and well-made. Kim thought enough of hers to get a to-go box. Mine was pretty much assassinated with the exception of some shards of crust. Net-net: a good spot. I could definitely see coming here after a day on the slopes and pigging out on one (or more) of their pies. So why not four stars? I'm rating this against pizza restaurants, not pizza restaurants in resort towns. If I recalibrated for resort towns, this place gets a four easy. UPDATE: Got in late from work on my second day in PC. Because Fuego is so convenient to the Marriott, I jus walked the half-block around the corner. JC sat me. Very upbeat. Nice at the end of a long day. I asked my usual wine-snob question: which of your reds has just been opened. JC smiles and says they don't like skunky wine and so all bottles are fresh that day. Winner winner chicken dinner! Well, actually it was another pizza dinner, but I was really happy. Had the Wasatch pizza this time. I would have liked to try it with just a leeeetle more pancetta on it. Regardless, I scarfed it down along with a couple--ok it was more than a couple--glasses of Terraconda. One more star for Fuego.

Dined here on a saturday night. The ceasar salad was a little over dressed and the carpaccio had way too many capers. The margarita pizza was ok. There was too much garlic and not enough basil. Great service, would dine here again.

The service was good, however the food was very mediocre. The beef tornadoes dish with medallions and meat was a sad display of meat. Everyone that ordered it had to salt their meat. The pasta on the side seemed like something from a buffet. A 4 Star Dish however, is the Gorgonzola Linguine, it is pretty amazing. The baked rigatoni was horrendous if you get the meatballs, it is only two, they are really stretching that 's' at the end. Everyone else was dissatisfied with their dish besides the lucky soul who for the linguine.

Absolutely fantastic! We ordered garlic bread, spaghetti with meatballs, and pizza. All of the items were amazing! I would highly recommend this restaurant. Very casual and friendly.

Went here with a group of about 30. They knew well in advance that we were coming but were sorely understaffed. The pizza, shrimp & clam linguine, and pasta frittata were very disappointing. No one at my table ate more than a few bites. At another table, I heard that the lasagna was very good. I would not go back.

I came here for dinner, food was great and reasonably priced for Park City. This place is not on Main Street, but still in a nice area of Park City. The Meatball Fagioli soup was delicious and hearty. Perfect starter to warm up with after being in the cold snow! I had the Gorgonzola Linguini with Portobella mushrooms. sooo delicious!

Good food, mediocre service and prices average. Kid-friendly. The individual pizza sizes can be split amongst two adults. Pizza is wood-fired. Restaurant is spacious and nice inside.

  • Lisa B.

A delightful restaurant, a bit off the beaten path, but if you want good eats at good prices you really need to stay away from Main Street. We ordered the Wasatch pizza that Brent recommended and it was amazing. The kids ordered pesto pie, which was also tasty and not at all skimpy on the pesto. That plus an appetizer filled us up nicely with enough leftovers for lunch the next day. Yelp is mighty handy to have around when you're traveling, isn't it?

Yummy wood fired pizza thin crust delivered to the hotel. Small is enough for two if you have a salad unless you have a husband or mate with a really big appetite. Pizza was still warm and delivery was speedy. they got the ordered right! yay!

Go somewhere else!!! To be fair, food was great. Had clam & shrimp pasta. Service on the other hand was horrible. Waiter was soooo rude! Unless you are a regular, don't expect to have your drinks refilled, get to go boxes, or even have your waiter check on you. Also, when we finally flagged someone down to get our check, we sat there waiting another 20 min just starring at each other.

Stopped in here on a Sunday for lunch while I was in town for Sundance. Had a garden salad with balsamic and the spicy Sicilian pizza. Both were delish. Pizza was the best I've had in a while. I'm a fan of thin crust and this pizza had a small amount of black coals from the wood fired oven. Perfect crust. Nice assortment of wine. My bill was $25. Lots of parking. Great date place or a place to take visitors. Not good for kids. Only 4 stars because they didn't have peccorino cheese and my pop was flat, but my server Nate was really nice and attentive and quickly fixed it.

Yum. Before we even walked in you could smell the yummy aroma. Everything was delicious. Prices were great, for 3 people an app, entrees and desserts it was only $50. A great find, would suggest to anyone.

Well- I am from Texas so I just ventured out to find some good grub in Park City during my ski vaction... I read about Fuego while I flipping through a city guide and thought that this menu would fill my need for yumminess and warmth!!! To be honest I was nervous because on a Saturday afternoon it was EMPTY...... But, I was pleasantly surprised! I started with a cup of Vegatable Fagioli Soup and was impressed by the generous serving of broth and vegatbles. It was vvery much like a minestrone except here you could get shrimp or meatballs added so the basic soup can defintly be dressed up. I then ordered the Prospector Pizza- it was a basic marinara pizza with mozzarella, garlic, oregano, crushed red pepper, black olives and topped with Italian sausage. Best part- BAKED IN BRICK OVEN!!!! Definitely hearty after skiing in the morning. I tried the polygamy porter? beer which is brewed locally in Salt Lake City- All in All this is a great way to change up the typical burger and fries menu on the mountain. I will be back here for sure!!

Fabulous pizza! We got the Jupiter pie and loved it. Also, this is a $ place, not $$. Our 12" pizza was 12 bucks and it fed both of us. Not huge portions but service was good, the food was fantastic, and we loved the ambiance. Shared the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake as well, which was very good. I'd HIGHLY recommend it!

This restaurant gets 4 Stars, not 3, because the Fuego Blanco pizza is the best pizza I have ever put in my mouth...and I'm from the East Coast, which says a lot. The service is okay. Our waiter was a total dipstick and the restaurant is pretty loud, but when you have a 2 year old and a 9 month old (both screaming) in tow, loud is A-OK! Want a good "white" pizza? Go to Fuego!!

Though I wanted to check out more spots in Park City once I found this one I couldn't help myself and kept going back. The pizza is a MUST try! Ownership very cool and a wait staff that is very easy on the eyes. Not the hugest menu but I found that even better. It was crazy busy with locals and still had amazing service.

Ordered the Prospector pizza and my wife ordered the ravioli special. The food was excellent. My only critique is that the entree did not include bread or soup/salad. For the price, I would have expected some dinner bread and a salad.

Went Fuego last night as part of a locals' (live in a suburb 1/2 an hour away) night over in Park City. Fuego was recommended by a waiter at the Westgate Grill. Great recommendation and I highly forward the recommendation. We had cheese bread app- very good, perfectly seasoned and with a variety of cheeses that complimented each other well. The side salad was just fresh greens, but they were good greens and I liked the balsamic vinaigrette on the side (always on the side for me...restaurants ALWAYS overdress for my tastes.) I was with a group of 5- our entrees included the Wasatch and Jupiter pizzas...really really good. The Jupiter was my favorite- spinach, red pepper mix of cheeses- olive oil no sauce. The Wasatch was pancetta and a honey chipolte sauce- a new and very good take on a BBQ chicken pizza- could have used a bit more cilantro. We also had a gorgonzola linguine...a bit rich for my tastes but a couple of my companions raved about it- probably personal preference. We had a Hula pizza too- nothing fabulous. The crust on all the pizzas was great, really light, thin crusts, but heavy enough to eat like a piece of pizza (vs. falling apart because there is not enough structure to hold it). We had dessert- hot fudge sundae... this needs work, not enough ice cream...maybe they were running low? but the crunchy bits in it were good. My friends had beers- porters and lager and they were happy with the selection... I drank a concoction with honey tea vodka and gingerale. Love the tea vodka and will be buying some for my home cupboard. It'd be great with a strong ginger simple syrup and soda with some lemon?? Decent prices- we had several drinks, split an app, had 4 entrees for a party of five, plus a dessert..$56.00 with a 15% tip (only 15%? see below) The bad things- service was crazy slow... the waiter was nice enough but didn't keep waters filled and we had to ask for refills. Kind of dumb on his part because we were happy to order plenty of drinks. The restaurant was busy, but it looked like he only had a 5 or 6 table section, certainy manageable. A bit hard to find, but that's fine- it's in prospector square...I'm not that familiar with Park City, but could find it again easily. The sound level was good- it was high energy, and a bit noisy, but not bad. Overall, I'd recommend it...I wouldn't drive from Sandy (25 minutes away) to go there, but if you're in Park City, it's a fine place to stop.

Think Pomodoro, a slightly better version of the Olive Garden. Mediocre, reasonably priced food. Warehouse space like. Don't get the Pasta Frittata. Right next to the Marriott Park City.

Totally exceeded our expectations. We all had pasta so we can't vouch for the pizza, but our dishes were awesome! Ample portions and very reasonable (for a resort town) prices. It was a fairly slow evening, but our service from "Johnny Utah" was spot on. Glad I ignored the other Yelp reviews about bad service. If you are looking for a casual Italian meal with great pasta, give Fuego a shot...

After a hard day on the slopes and lots of pub food all week, Fuego Bistro sounded like a nice change for our vacation. The restaurant is off of Main Street near Prospector's Square. It is warm and nicely decorated. The menu is online and offers an impressive list of pizzas, a few pasta and sandwiches, and a small sample of appetizers. To start off, we tried the Shrimp Bake, which was good, but not special. I got the Wasatch Pizza after being attracted to the Chipolte sauce, pineapple, and cilantro on it. Despite the fancy toppings and sauce, the crust was my favorite. The others in my group enjoyed their food as well. However, not all was well at Fuego. The wait staff was very lacking. They definitely were unresponsive and seemed more consumed with flirting with the hostess. We asked for refills several times and had to remind him several times. When paying the bill it took us almost 30 minutes to pay out. Again, delays are okay and if busy, I would have understood, but the wait staff cared more about their evening plans than ours. It is a shame that rude service can ruin a good meal. With the bad service I have to downgrade the review one star. 3 out of 5 and next time in Park City, I will probably explore somewhere else.

For Park City, this place was good. Hearty, authentic Italian food, fresh ingredients and they don't even rip you off. The Lasagna is super delicious as is the Gorgonzola Pasta. Pizza's pretty good too. Service is so-so, but I learned to pick my battles in PC!

THE *BEST* PIZZA! Fuego is the one restaurant we visit when we vacation in Park City. Besides the pizza, we haven't tried anything else on their menu and probably never will. It's a nice, clean restaurant and the prices are good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Not so hot. Ravioli plate was small and some of the ravioli were a little bit cold. Flavor was so so. Way too much $ for what you get. Won't be back.

I've never Yelped about anything but the service here was so terrible I needed to express it to anyone thinking of going there. We were down here for the Little League World Series and decided to give this place a shot since it looked pretty good. It took almost 2 hours to get our food and they got 3 orders wrong so we had to wait an additional 20 minutes to get some spaghetti without cheese on it. We tried to ask who the manager was, but to our dismay the guy we asked pointed at our waiter. We asked if he could split one of the dinner portions into two plates for the kids, and the manager/owner said that he could give us plates to do it ourselves or charge 3.50 to seperate it for us. We also asked if we could have seperate checks, but he denied us that as well. We ate in about a party of 12, half of the people in our party finished their food before the other half even got served. Other people in the resturaunt literally just up and left because it was taking so long to get served. The only positive thing I have to say about this place is that their salads are pretty good. The guy who owns this place definitely needs some people skills.

DIsclaimer: I'm no restaurant or food critic, just a traveler who loves food and has reasonable expectations. This review is based on a delivery order of Pizza only. We didn't visit the restaurant or sample the menu at all. Basically, the pizza from here was only a step above a Digiorno. It was extremely doughy, the toppings were unevenly spread and the ingredients were generally unimpressive. I'm a big fan of pizza, could eat it every day, and I find it easily satisfying. So the low grade here speaks volumes. Maybe it's better in-house. Who knows.

My rating is for take-out (more on that at the end of this post), not dine-in. We ordered two pizzas, the HULA (Hawaiian) for my son, who was condo-bound due to some unforeseen issues) and a "THE DV" for me (the only one of the family to stay at home with my son, as I volunteered). First, I have to say "THE DV" was a shocking surprise for me, because it is exactly the pizza that my wife and I have, for years, special-ordered for ourselves at home, having never-before found it on any menu. It's Artichokes, Black Olives, on Pesto (no Tomato Sauce)... for Arti-lovers like us, this is damn near Nirvana and Fuego's version wholly satisfied somebody for whom this pizza is such a passion (REALLY!) The HULA was exactly what my son needed, being his favorite type of pizza, after a difficult day. If that was all that I could say about Fuego, that would be enough for me to completely recommend them. However,... I used Speedy Fernandez for delivery (it wasn't exactly "take-out") and had a negative experience with them. You can read my account of that by looking up Speedy Fernandez on YELP, so I won't repeat it here, but for Larry (Fuego's owner)'s attempts to make right something that should have been addressed more directly by Speedy Fernandez. Larry and I spoke twice via phone (he called me back after I called him to let him know how his product, in which he obviously places a lot of his personal pride, was delivered). I did not call him for any special treatment by him, at all, and I will not take advantage of what he offered, because (frankly) that'd be penalizing somebody for something that they didn't do. But, he obviously was willing to go well beyond any level of expectation to make right by us, despite my telling him that I wouldn't take him up on his offer. For all that he knows, I've been there multiple times without his knowing it.... :D I will just say this--- First Class Pizza by a First Class Place, run by a First Class Owner.

Great wood fired pizza, good food with affordable prices. Excellent service with nice ambience. We had the mussels appetizer which was very good along with house salad and tomato-basil soup. Then the wood fired pizzas for entrees. Great dinner after you've skied all day in Park City.

This was a first-time visit to Fuego for us, and it won't be our last. The creative and tasty menu items are enough to bring us back, even if the service was at times slow and inattentive. We went on March 15, 2008. Once we were seated, It took a pretty long while (over five minutes) for the wait staff to realize our drink orders hadn't been taken, so we sat there for a while admiring the other patron's meals. Finally, we got our drink orders, and we were set. We decided to sample the tomato basil soup and the Wasatch pizza (chipotle, mozzarella, pancetta, pineapple, cilantro...creative, no?), and both were excellent. The soup was just right, and the pizza had a lot of great flavors: sweet, spicy, cheesy, salty. Even though our waiter wasn't too attentive (I don't even recall his name, and we only saw him when he took our order and brought us the check), Angel, one of the servers, was fantastic. He was extremely intuitive to our needs and even brought us a box for our leftover pizza without us having to request one. That was a nice touch. Our overall experience was positive, and I'd recommend Fuego to anyone who wants good, well-priced food, particularly in Park City.

Yelpers were so right on. Food was good. We had the gorgonzola linguini based on reviews. JC was our waiter who was MIA most of the time even though we were one of only 3 tables. Sad, huh?

    (3)
  • Christian S.

After trying this place one more time, with the first being about the same as this visit, I will say I will never come back. JC was our server and couldn't remember our order to save his life. He took my drink order and never came back until the end of the meal to ask if i wanted another one. Very unattentive, the busser touched our table more than he did. He seemed more interested in chatting it up with the guys in the kitchen and the owner then being at one of his tables. The artichoke appetizer was not very good. The pizza was doughy and undercooked. I struggled through the only 2 pieces I ate. I wish I never came back! If you want good pizza, it's not here.

We were in the mood for a good salad, pizza, and glass of red vino post skiing. I would say that Fuego hit pretty well on two out of the three and we managed to salvage the last for a good meal. The salad was actually exceptional for this kind of restaurant -- super fresh with great toppings and dressing. The wine recommendation was really good and well priced. The pizza I am afraid was a mixed bag. We ordered two as they are supposed to be "personal" size. Honestly we really should have split just one. That being said, it was a good thing we over-ordered as one out of the two pizzas we really liked and one we really did not. We had a sausage pizza that had kind of an overwhelming sausage taste but not in a good way at all. The BBQ chicken pizza was actually pretty yummy with a crispy in all the right places wood-fired crust. The service was a little short-handed that night but they were pretty good about it and apologized more than once for that being the case. All around us people seemed pretty happy so I would go back to Fuego but I would order a bit more carefully.

Yuck! Soggy pizza, under cooked steak, frozen vegetables! Pretty bad when you bite into a carrot and it's still frozen...and sausage on a vegetarian pizza!

A very nice pizza & pasta shop a bit off the beaten track in Park City. A rather large room with nice table spacing. Offers Pizza, salads, grilled sandwiches and pasta dishes. A dish called Pasta Frittata was unique and quite filling with Mozzarella cheese and ham grilled under the broiler and served with choice of red or white sauce. The pizzas are 12" so are intended as an individual pie.

This place was so good, and saved the day! We had a group of 16, and I called ahead and asked that the food be ready at a certain time so that we could just start eating. We got there, the food had just come out of the oven, was hot, and so good. We got all pizzas, which were delicious and we did not leave one piece on that table. The service was awesome and they were so accomodating to our schedule. Definitely a find. And, the prices were great. Go!

This place has the best meatball ever!! its seasoned to perfection and you must try their grilled chicken salad!!!

  • Patsy B.

Although the location was extremely convenient (right next to the Park City Marriott), the food left a lot to be desired. The salads were so-so, the pasta was overdone and bland, and the kids cheese pizza was also bland. The atmosphere was pleasant as was the staff, but if you are looking for good Italian food, you might want to try another place.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
