Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Loved the pizza. The staff were friendly and attentive. Moderate wait time but that seemed to be censuses they were helping customize the pizzas for the patrons before us. Frankly the pizza was quick and good. Surprised me that it was as good as it was. I said this is a place that I could return to. I have become more critical of food establishments. Maybe that's because my wife makes original and creative foods that are really good too.

Definitely not the best pizza place I've been to, but that doesn't mean this place isn't good. First of all it has a pretty nice price. $8 for an 11" pizza. You can have as many toppings as your heart desires and they have quite a decent amount to choose from. I made a completely custom pizza while my wife went with the Buffalo chicken and then added a few extra toppings. I really liked how they had multiple types of cheeses you could add on although they did tend to be skimpy with those. Most of the toppings they were pretty light on. When I asked for more of one however they added without any complaints or evil eyes. Overall, the taste of the pizza was pretty good especially for the price. The crust had a good flavor - I tried the "Firecracker" crust. Staff was very friendly and fun to talk with. Gave great suggestions for things to make my pizza even more flavorful.

  • Kody C.

I had the Buffalo Chicken Pizza and it was good. I tried the traditional pepperoni I ordered for my kids and it was fantastic also. I would have given the place 5 stars, but they had only 4 high chairs for children... In Utah County...Come on man! Now that is just silly. Everyone was eyeing them! Food is great, but space is limited. Get your pizza and go to the park people!

    (4)
  • Jessica H.

So awesome! I could get whatever I want on my pizza, the people working were so nice and you can really tell that the ingredients they use are good quality

    (5)
  • Jacob S.

How can I not give it five stars when I picked all the ingredients for my meal? I got the unlimited topping pizza and it was more than enough to get me full. In fact, I would suggest splitting one which would give you 3 pieces each. But I wanted to make my own and my wife is picky. At first, I thought they were a little stingy with the ingredients, but if I asked them to put more on, then they did. It was a bit funny how judicious they were with the toppings, but to me unlimited means unlimited, right? The taste was very good. Perfectly cooked crust and the ingredients I chose blended well. It was also a very peaceful atmosphere and the employees were very friendly. I will definitely be coming here again. It would make a great date night place. My only complaint is that it's a wee bit on the pricey side for what it is- even if you get the Unlimited.

  • London F.

My husband and I love this place because it is so fast, cheap, yummy, and they always have coupons for BOGO. Definitely join their member list, it's worth it.

    (4)
  • Aimmie S.

So, so good! They are an Oregonians dream place! Fresh pizza dough, fresh ingredients, and for a good cause. 5 stars all the way! And best of all, it's quick!

    (5)
  • Caitlin S.

I'm so impressed with this place! I love the idea of making your own pizza. They have a couple different options for crust, I chose the Rosemary. I picked the tomato sauce and pesto. They have mozzarella cheese, Parmesan, goat and feta. I got a little of each hehe. You can pick unlimited toppings and finishing touches all for 7.99. It's such a good price for what you get! I got pepperoni, spicy chicken sausage, artichoke hearts, caramelized onions, tomato, jalapeños, yellow peppers and a lil bit of garlic. Topped with arugula, cilantro and balsamic glaze WHOA. GO!

    (4)
  • Russell O.

Gooood pizza. Custom CPK quality for less the prize. Do all the ingredients you want for the same prize, you don't get that anywhere else that I know of. I also loved the different types of bread dough that they have and all the different quality ingredients that they had.

  • Whitni P.

This place was great! My husband and I both got the endless toppings and it was awesome. Totally worth it! We both got the firecracker crust. The meats are delicious coined with each other. Make sure to try their cookies at the end, too! So good. We never get one to share because it is just too good. We need our own pizzas

    (5)
  • Jerry P.

I'm a pizza expert. This place is awesome! My first time I noticed that they go very light on the pizza sauce. On my next visit I asked for more sauce only to find out that they don't nickel and dime you like most other places. The price isn't too bad either. This place is awesome and I think I'll be eating here a lot. Only four stars because they don't have regular black olives :(

    (4)
  • Hector A.

Healthy , fresh and tasty pizza. I recommend 100% it's great for kids too. You can have fun also deciding your toppings also

    (5)
  • Kade H.

Hard to understand menus. Had to coax the guy to put enough veggies on to matter. Asked for arugula and got a whopping 5 leaves. Soggy crust!!!

    (2)
  • Spanky D.

Just awful. Expected most slices to have all of the toppings on it. Only one did. The flavor wasn't bad but you had to eat 3 slices to get all of the flavor.

    (2)
  • Nate B.

This place is fantastic. Didn't even notice that it moved into university mall. If you love pizza try this out. Think cafe rio for pizza. Great toppings and fast service. Build your own pizza with their excellent toppings. Reasonably priced as well.

    (4)
  • Brian W.

This place is not your ordinary pizza place!! you can fully customize your pizza with any crust or topping and add as many toppings for the same base price. their price is super reasonable also!

    (5)
  • Trenton S.

This place is amazing. Pizza is good, price is great. Atmosphere is amazing. You can build your own pizza for the same price. The BBQ chicken is a must have.

    (5)
  • Jenny G.

I made my own pizza. The healthier crust with loads of veggies, extra chicken, and balsamic glaze. The crust is super thin and perfect for a lighter lunch. I loved it. I like it because the whole family can enjoy their own favorite toppings on their own personal pizza.

    (4)
  • Bravis B.

I love the crust of he pizza! You have many choices like the traditional and the wheat. It's a good pizza and a fast service.

    (5)
  • Richard C.

Pizza is good for the price. I am picky about my pizza. It's got to be full of flavor. This one is just average. They are quick to serve but the taste profile needs some work.

    (3)
  • Jayci U.

My husband and I love this place! It's really quick and they have a lot of options! It's clean and friendly and they support local artist too which is cool. I would definitely recommend this to our friends and family.

    (5)
  • Rene J.

It was fun to choose all the ingredients for our pizzas. The people were friendly and helpful. The pizzas were great and prepared quickly. I wish there was a restaurant like this in Virginia.

    (4)
  • Kyle H.

Hands down best pizza I've ever had. Balsamic glaze and pesto on a rosemary crust loaded with veggies and meats?? Yes please! My family's new favorite spot!

    (5)
  • Jordan L.

Quality pizza, lots of ingredients to make a tasty pizza. I really enjoyed the spicy buffalo sauce and also the fire cracker crust. One of the better pizza places in orem!

    (4)
  • Tia S.

Loved the pizza! Ordered the Margherita and was very happy. Great customer service! We had 3 different people ask how everything was tasting. We'll definitely be taking advantage of the online ordering! Very impressed by their Starving Artist Wall and Feeding America initiative.

  • Shawna L.

I couldn't decide between a 4 and a 3. I really liked the pizza. It's a neat concept. You pick your crust flavor, and any of the toppings you want for a fixed price. Then within a few minutes, they bring the pizza out to you. The pizza tastes really good. The toppings however, were kind of skimpy. I went on their website before I went there to get an idea of what they had. Their website listed a lot more toppings than I could see at the counter so I didn't get everything I really wanted because I couldn't see them. It was also really loud and hard to hear the workers over the noise. The noise wasn't necessarily from from customers, just the sound bouncing around the ceiling. So if you go, look online to pick your pizza toppings, and hopefully it's not too loud in there.

    (4)
  • Rob S.

I thought they were kind of stingy with the toppings, but I was buying the cheapest Pizza on the menu, so I should expect that. Still probably good value for your money, if you do a build your own for a few dollars more and load as many toppings as you want. Fun ambiance with some consignment art on the wall. I'll certainly try it again.

    (4)
  • Aaron S.

On point. Great pizza. Surprisingly awesome thin crust. Very customizable pizza. I had the Garden. it tastes awesome. Really fresh ingredients. Also the ingredients were things that you wouldn't normally expect, like artichokes. The process can be a tad confusing, however, there are a lot of personnel around to assist you. Definitely would go back.

    (5)
  • Emma L.

Fantastic, delicious pizza at a really great price. $5.99 for the best margarita pizza I've had in forever. You can customize a pizza to have different crusts and toppings. The Rosemary crust is so yummy. The service was fast and friendly. The setup reminded me of Cafe Rio, but with pizza. Go. You won't regret it.

    (5)
  • Drew T.

Great pizza. I didn't have super high expectations but my wife and I figured we would give it a shot. It was much better than I expected. Fantastic pizza. The toppings were great, the prices are great, and the atmosphere is great. I will definitely be back.

  • J B.

Awesome pizza and extremely friendly service. The pizza is customizable and comes out fast and tasting delicious. My husband and I shared one and were full. A great place to stop at for lunch while shopping at the mall.

    (5)
  • Camille T.

Great bang for your buck. I was pleasantly surprised with my deliciously cheesy Margherita pizza--and only $5.99. If I wanted to pay a bit more for better pizza, I could go to the other side of the mall to Terra Mia. But I'm happy to spend less for something that is satisfying. I'll definitely come back. I'd like to try their "unlimited topping" option for $7.99.

    (4)
  • Jon B.

I guess this place is ok for the taco bell equivalent of a pizza place. The pizza did get cold fast, and the crust didn't get very crispy either, but it's an ok once in a while place. I liked the cookies better than the pizza.

    (3)
  • Kristen S.

Really liked this place. I love how you get unlimited toppings for $8 and that includes meat! I REALLY wish they had normal black olives as a choice. That's why they get 4 stars. But I really do love this place.

    (4)
  • Nancy R.

They got really good pizza, they make it so fast and they got a lot of ingredients to choose from, their crust and sauce are really good

    (5)
  • Carlie B.

My first experience was this past Saturday. I went all by my lonesome, and when I told the guy at the counter it was my first time being there, he explained how it worked. I ended up getting the BBQ chicken pizza without onions, and added feta cheese, on the Rosemary crust. Holy delicious. The BBQ sauce was so delicious!! There are so many options there, definitely going back to keep trying them all!

    (5)
  • Gregory R.

Is was good but not near the 4 and a half stars that it recently rates. I love the concept, it was fun. But the pizza is just better than average. But, with that said I'd go back because the concept was a little different.

    (3)
  • Weston C.

First time here. Found it on yelp. The entrance is on the south side of university mall. It was hard to find, as the address was for the mall in general. The pizza was good and cheap. $6 margherita or pepperoni. $8 build your own. I built a pizza that would have been $11 at Malawi's. Same wood fired, thin crust style. Easy for kids- $6 cheese pizza = 2 slices per kid.

    (4)
  • Medo A.

Cheap, very customizable and delicious pizza I've ever had. Tried the traditional crust and its awesome. Loved this place :)

I finally had a chance to try out the new pizza studio and to be honest I liked the concept more than I liked the pizza . Since it was my first time I decided to have the margarita with a side caesar salad. The salad was average and for 3 bucks that's about what I expected. To have a great pizza you need to have a great crust and my pizza dough was soft and flavorless . I did order the firecracker pizza dough maybe I should have started with the original. I did not think that the firecracker pizza dough had any kick to it it and was probably about the worst pizza dough I have had in same time. The basil on the pizza did not seem fresh and overall the pizza was tasteless. Maybe it was just a bad day and they usually make great pizza but I'm not sure I'll ever go back to be able to find out. The service was fine and the atmosphere was good so I did give it 2 stars but the pizza only deserved 1 star.

GO!

Gooood pizza. Custom CPK quality for less the prize. Do all the ingredients you want for the same prize, you don't get that anywhere else that I know of. I also loved the different types of bread dough that they have and all the different quality ingredients that they had.

This place was great! My husband and I both got the endless toppings and it was awesome. Totally worth it! We both got the firecracker crust. The meats are delicious coined with each other. Make sure to try their cookies at the end, too! So good. We never get one to share because it is just too good. We need our own pizzas

Hard to understand menus. Had to coax the guy to put enough veggies on to matter. Asked for arugula and got a whopping 5 leaves. Soggy crust!!!

Just awful. Expected most slices to have all of the toppings on it. Only one did. The flavor wasn't bad but you had to eat 3 slices to get all of the flavor.

Really liked this place. I love how you get unlimited toppings for $8 and that includes meat! I REALLY wish they had normal black olives as a choice. That's why they get 4 stars. But I really do love this place.

Is was good but not near the 4 and a half stars that it recently rates. I love the concept, it was fun. But the pizza is just better than average. But, with that said I'd go back because the concept was a little different.

Loved the pizza! Ordered the Margherita and was very happy. Great customer service! We had 3 different people ask how everything was tasting. We'll definitely be taking advantage of the online ordering! Very impressed by their Starving Artist Wall and Feeding America initiative.
