This is a great place for lunch. The beef taco and tamale lunch special is delicious. They have daily lunch specials. The service is fast and friendly.

The service was fine, friendly; it seemed like a nice little family restaurant. However, the portions were small for the price, and the beans tasted like they came out of a can. The rest of the food was just okay.

This is the second Patricia's Restaurant in Ogden, I have now eaten at both. The 2nd on 24th has a nice decor, very clean and comfortable, not sure I can say the same about the first. I received very good service and my food arrived promptly. I got one of the lunch combos with a chicken enchilada and a verde burrito. The food was good, not the best but I had a decent lunch at a reasonable price. Regular salsa is very mild, if you like spicier sauce ask for the spicy option, they brought me two green and red, both good.

Good Mexican food and lots of it for the price. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews... the food I had was good and the waitstaff was friendly and accommodating. The chips and salsa were better than average. The tacos larger than normal. The carnitas I had was a little dry but it all went together nicely.

Crap. Another one goes down. Ogden has a large Hispanic population but it can't sustain a great, or even a very good Mexican dinner restaurant. Note: If you are doing lunch, the Patricia's downtown on 24th is still a good choice. Señora's is the last refuge for supper. This Patricia's used to be decent. But the service has aged, they lost their liquor license (even though they still have beer signs in the window) and their dishes are soupy. I'm pretty sure the chile rellenos I ordered were previously frozen. If its supper time, and your craving great Mexican, you should consider Salt Lake City.

Kind of a hole in the wall Mexican place. but honestly the amount and quality of food for the price is great!

The absolute worst Mexican food I've ever had! I had one of their lunch specials and it was such a small portion that they had to fill my plate with watery refried beans to make it fit the plate...and it had zero flavor... I will not be going back...

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
