Stopped here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered the Orange tofu and it was SO good!! And the portion size was huge. My sister and I shared it and still had lots leftover. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The second time I went I had the shrimp chow fun and once again was not disappointed. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the noodles were delicious. It's a 45 min drive for me but I think it's worth it!

Dear Maple Garden, The only non-meat item you seem to offer is plain mixed vegetables. May I suggest you add at least one tofu dish to your menu so there's something for me to eat? Or even a shrimp dish? Or just any kind of dish not centered around beef, pork, or chicken? Though I do acknowledge the possibility that no one else in Ogden would want a non-meat dish. Still, try it! Healthiness is on the upswing and I'm sure people would like the illusion that they are being healthy even if they're in a Chinese fast food place. We did like your establishment, though. I liked that most of our food was cooked up instead of sitting there for hours, my kids enjoyed their chicken, and the mixed vegetables were surprisingly tasty even though they looked really bland. Add a seafood or tofu dish and I guarantee you we will return. When we visit. Which is probably a year from now so you have a long time to develop a new dish. Sincerely, Angela

This place smells like a toilet as soon as you walk in. I suggest anything besides this place unless you want to eat while smelling poo I'd rather eat left over Panda Express

I ordered bang bang shrimp and I received bang bang food poisoning. It tasted better coming back up. Ham fried rice tasted like week old oil. Find some place else to eat. Ogden is not short on Chinese food and hopefully the alternative won't leave you praying over the porcelain the next day.

The food was great and tasted amazing. But the service was less than horrible. After my guest and I were clearly done with or food, the wait staff stood in the corner of the restaurant staining at us while taking care of the other parties. We had to grab a waiter and ask us for our check. Then waited ten more minutes for them to take our payment, then when the card and receipt were brought back, there was no pen nor any waitstaff to grab to ask for one. Then when one was brought over, the owner/manager was hovering over my shoulder to see how much I was planning on tipping. I had to stand back up and ask her to please stop looking. Again, tasty good food. Especially for the price, but the service is horrible.

This was out first outing. We enjoyed our meal for the most part. It would have been better with out the hiccup we experienced but they did make it right. They also gave us a free roll. Can't tell you which one but I enjoyed, my wife tried it and did not care for it but she don't like crab.

@Angela M. They have tofu and shrimp dish, you can ask for it. The manager will make any food you want, it might not seen in the menu but sometimes people do really need some item but it's not in the menu, you just need to explain your dish/diet. Info: Ba

Typical American Chinese joint. Food is greasy and that's the bottom line. Lunch special is great value, General tso was eough for 2~3 peeps. Comes with fried rice and soup. Service is fast and friendly. Parking is easy as long as you are heading North. Sounth boung probably has less luck making the turn to the parking.

Mr. Yu is one awesome dude! We told him we were in a bit of a rush, about 10 minutes after taking our order we were served. It was about 7 pm so not a down time here. Food was awesome

The Szechuan chicken and combination fried rice are some awesomely delicious dishes. A co worker of mine brought me here to talk business one day and it was very tasty. Tons of food to share and more than enough to take home leftovers. Prices also seemed fair and the food was fresh! The owner is a very welcoming guy and great to talk to. Glad I got suckered into going!

If you want fresh food, this is the place! Terrific Take-out!! After our usual "go to" restaurant went out of business we were forced to try a new place. With so many disappointments and poor quality at other restaurants, we took a chance at Yu's Maple Garden. I decided to order all my favorites to see how they would be. I was surprised at how fresh everything was, everything! It was late on a Thursday night. The wonton soup is bowl abundantly filled, no chincing on the shrimp or chicken, best I've had in a long time, but it's Utah. The fried rice is always freshly made, the bright egg in it was the tell. My Cashew Chicken was excellent too, the sauce was a little rich but very good. The service was great all the way through. I want to extend them the five stars because their food and the custom sushi I ordered was amazing. I made a request to exclude the tuna from the top of the Playboy roll, and they came back asking what else I would like to top it in its place, they suggested crab, and oh it was unexpectedly delicious. Nice size sushi roll cut to perfect bite size slices. We will order it again when we return. They took pleasure in accommodating the change in the sushi and we're very quick and thorough serving us. No, the place was not decorated perfect and they don't speak great English but at what mattered, they did great! Our bill was much smaller than we expected and our plates and servings were much fuller!! I highly recommend!! It was my first visit and only a few items tried, and I didn't enter the restroom so until I do I will hold back on the five.

We recently found out Maple Gardens has a Japanese sushi menu. I went to dinner with a group of 7. The sushi was great but the service was insanely slow. I didn't get too flustered because I was enjoying the company of friends... However, I later took my husband and again the service was really slow. We also struggled with trying to communicate need for soy sauce dishes, chopsticks, etc because one of the servers could not speak English. I really enjoy the food, the cost and clean restaurant.

Terrible service, and mediocre everything--overcooked noodles, got my order wrong and wouldn't correct it, and poor quality gray looking chicken.

The food here is always really fresh. I enjoy how friendly and helpful that the staff are. The Szechuan chicken is the best and a great price. For five dollars we have enough food to feed our family.

The food was greasy and mushy. It had no taste for the ham fried rice. Before when you paid $11 you got shrimp an egg roll and soup. Now u get meat and a carton of rice.

A favorite of our office. I'm sure Ogden will never have a Chinatown, and this place does the job. Good size portions, tasty. Wish they served beer!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
