Food was good as always, you can't really expect too much from dickeys as they are a chain bbq joint but hey. Little on the pricey side for the amount of food you get but when there aren't too many bbq places to visit that are this fast and easy I don't mind paying a little more. Best way to get "The bang for your buck" is to get the daily special. Improve the food portions and I'll give them 5 's!

Four stars for being good at what they are - chain barbecue. Well-priced daily specials (Saturdays' brisket sandwich combo with a drink and two sides is right on the money), good but not great barbecue, and friendly service keep us coming back. I prefer the aforementioned brisket sandwich, beans, and baked potato casserole with a big yellow cup of tea to wash it down. The beef is good enough for this born and bred Texan (and thus, bbq snob) to get a hankering every once in a while to come back! If you have time and want something a bit more mom & pop (and better), keep driving up 12th through Ogden canyon into Huntsville and get some Huntsville BBQ; for those needing a bbq fix in town, the price and service at Dicky's is tough to beat.

I'm still eating here so it might not be that well written. I will disagree with some yelpers, go out on a limb and say this IS damn good food. Okay I'm not a barbecue expert, I'm from California not the south or Midwest and I'm definitely not picky when it comes to something where simply walking in, I'm greeted by a smoky bbq smell. I got the two-meat with a drink. The pulled pork with original bbq, that was irresistibly good. It's gone. The Cole slaw and potato salad, delicious. Only Karens potato salad is better. The brisket with original, gaaahhhh. Pulled pork with sweet, harmonious. Brisket with sweet, I'm sweating. THE ROLL! Pity I only got one, but don't doubt before I leave I'll get a few more! The sweet tea!! Again, I'm not demanding with bbq, but I think this IS where I'll be getting my bbq fixin's from now on. And yes, I will gladly reuse my big yellow cup!

Based on the recommendations of others, a few of us headed over here for some lunch. As an East Coaster, I had never been to a Dickey's before, but tagged along to the Ogden location in a nearby strip mall. I noticed many of the BBQ Lunch Specials listed near the entrance and thought about going with one. But after getting up to the register I changed my mind and ordered the BBQ Two Meat Plate. My two meats of choice were the sliced beef brisket and pulled pork and my two sides were cole slaw and their baked potato casserole. Oh, and of course, don't forget "The Big Yellow Cup" for my fountain drink. Although I was impressed with the variety of the large plate, none of it necessarily struck me as spectacular. Good, yes. Filling, most definitely. Memorable, eh. 3.5 Stars.

It is fast food BBQ, so I wasn't expecting sit down eat at a table and be waited on. Now that I have said that I can tell you how it is. We have gone in a few times, and where we had up to 5 of us eating there, we opted for the family meals. There is a lot of food when you order the family meals! As long as you don't order the ribs, as they only give you a few ribs, and it is not worth it. We got the pulled pork both times and it was excellent. I like how you get your own BBQ sauce. I prefer the Spicy one, but I will follow it with Sweet and also the original. Don't forget to get a free pickle, they have a huge jar with huge pickles! We have gotten Fried Okra as a side and it was good, a lot of okra tho. Our favorite seems to be the baked potato casserole. The onion tangles are pretty good as well. Once you are done eating you can follow it up with a free ice cream cone. Compared to a few of the other BBQ joints in the Ogden area I tend to keep coming back here. I haven't had dry food yet.

Ribs were fresh out of the 'smoker'. They were nasty and so was the runny sauce. I cant believe this is a chain. Ice cream has funny taste too. Totally disappointed.

I have to echo the sentiments of other reviewers in that there is no reason to go here. It was my first visit and I had zero expectations and was still let down. I'm not a BBQ snob but the prices vs quality gap was surprising. If this is standard fare at all Dickey's chains then I have no reason to ever visit again. I got the 2 meat combo plate with the turkey and pulled pork. The turkey was very dry and seemed very much like processed meat "product." The pulled pork was very fatty and tasteless. I also got the coleslaw. Watery and tasteless and obviously from a plastic jug, not made fresh. I sampled a few pieces of my companions polish sausage and tasted nothing but grease, grease and more grease. Free pickles and ice cream I could care less about as well as a yellow "collector" cup. I would not want to walk around with this cup as it would be a testament of the shame I bare for ever eating there. The inside of the restaurant was clean and well maintained. The staff working the line weren't super friendly or attentive and the cashier yawned twice while ringing up my order. There seemed to be a supervisor and manager observing the goings on and were very attentive as to monitor the level of service but didn't seemed too concerned to do anything about it. Huge disappointment. I won't be going back.

A chain, yes, but good food. Order at the counter, and then take it over to the sauce station where they have a few choices and a barrel of pickles. Sundays kids eat free. I wouldn't choose dickeys over a local joint, but it hit the spot and the prices were fair.

The chicken was awesome! Some of the juiciest and best tasting I've ever had. The turkey and brisket was OK. Potato salad is Dill based; it was good. Coleslaw was great. Pie was not good at all. Clean restaurant, nice people, fast service after standing in line for 10 minutes. I enjoyed our dinner (I had the chicken & brisket), husband did not (he had the turkey). Even with a $10 off coupon it was $20 so it's not the cheapest place in town but it was good.

There are so many better BBQ places around, don't bother with this chain. I ate there for the first time today and was not impressed. The rolls are very good, but that's it. Everything is way too salty, the spicy sausage might as well have come out of a bar-s package and the service was horrible.

Okay so I will admitt when I heard Dicky's serves free pickels and ice cream with every meal I was all over it! After a lunch meal with some coworkers the other day I can see why they do that, to keep people from yelling at them for the nasty overpriced food! The food is average but way overpriced for a fast food resturaunt style dining room. The meat comes unsauced and the 3 sauses they have to choose from are runny and not very tasty! I had a pulled prk sandwhich and my sides were potato salad and onion straws. The only food that was good was the free pickle and Ice cream.

Meh. It was okay. The sauces didn't tickle my elmo, if you know what I mean. The brisket was decent enough, hey, free mediocre ice cream to finish it off. It was definitely pricey for what you get. I don't know what other people did, but they definitely didn't wait on us...
