Holy cow. I was so surprised we by how amazing their food was. I ordered the biscuits and gravy plate and it was delicious. It was real down home cooking. The biscuits were light and fluffy, the bacon was burnt to a crisp (just like I asked) and the gravy was the best I've had. Under the pile if gravy was two eggs and cheese. The service was great too. I could see the service being slow if it was really busy. Based off of the reviews I was expecting good door with sub par service. What I got was way beyond what the other reviews had me anticipating. If you're in town definitely stop by, you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Very clean and service is great. Unfortunately I really wasn't a fan of the food. I had the Naples Junior and hubby had the Chicken Fried Steak. The Naples Country was better than the soggy, barely fried chicken fried steak. Just really average and bland. I likely won't be back since I can cook a better breakfast at home.

Enjoyed a BLT, everything was good. They were busy, which is always a good sign. Seems to be a favorite of the locals. Loved the welcome sign over the door and other iron works around the wrap around porch - want some like them for my house!

I can sum up this review with one single word....... MEH. Slow service, and just average tasting food. If you're a diner in small town America, I expect better than this. Very disappointing and pricey. One positive note. The ranch dressing was terrific!!!

I chose the Naples over Betty's just on a hunch. Great choice on my part. Spotless, friendly and excellent pancakes and eggs. This breakfast was delicious! The egg yolks were almost creamy and a deep yellow in color, like they'd just popped out of the chicken. Took a piece of chocolate cake to go. Clientele appears to be local farmers which is always a good sign.

I expected a sort of average down-home country breakfast and what we got sort of helped me gain an understanding on the nature of Vernal...more on that later. It is not a down-home country restaurant, first and foremost. While it features many of those same elements, it's not trying to be that at all. This, like the city of Vernal, carries an attitude, almost a perpetual chip on its shoulder, until one finally catches that this, despite appearances, bears no similariy to Midwest small towns, but is an old Wild West frontier town, rough and tumble and born of hardscrabble miners. Once that distinction is made mentally, it all starts to fall into place. As to the food, I didn't trust the town, especially after the mess at The Quarry (see review), to be able to execute corned beef hash or something as intricate as Eggs Benedict and had the smothered biscuits and gravy and my wife, daringly (foolishly?), went for the Eggs Benedict. My kid rode the pancake train (those were probably the best thing anyone got). My wife liked their coffee, somewhat unusually for her, but all they had for me was Lipton. No surprise there. I asked for eggs over-medium and got something much, much closer to over-easy. Her eggs were half-solid and half uncooked, almost like there was a heating problem in keeping the water temperature uniform. Hollandaise tasted to her like a mix. It probably was. I think she wound up leaving about half. She liked the hash browns, but to my eye, they were grossly undercooked as well. My country gravy was very peppery, but had no sausage. I liked it, but the eggs were a mess. Bacon was cooked well (maybe deep-fried), but bland. Biscuits were also pretty decent, but the dish itself was poorly thought out. Biscuits + a pile of bacon + somewhat undercooked eggs + shredded cheddar-jack cheese and all of it covered in a puddle of gravy becomes exceedingly difficult to easily eat. Eventually, I gave up, as while it was decent, it wasn't good enough to fight with especially. Perhaps the most off-putting thing was what was going on behind the front counter. Various people eating there would get up, walk behind the counter, do something and then resume their seat. Fully half of the wait staff appeared to be eating breakfast behind the counter in amidst serving tables and people kept wandering in and out of the kitchen. One of the guys in the back - I'm assuming a cook - had a wild and shaggy beard, but no hair net. All in all, it was exceedingly odd and probably will prevent me from returning, as the food, while acceptable for the area overall and priced mostly fairly, was not notable.

Best eggs benedict I have ever had! Great food...boyfriends pancakes were huge, fluffy and delicious. Small town feel, clean and great menu. Great place to eat. Gift shop has been closed for years but is still on the sign! :)

Good breakfast food. Love the pancakes and BLTs! Friendly staff and country style food. It can get busy though but my family likes coming here and always enjoys the food.

Wow! My BLT was huge! Layers of crispy bacon on a hogie! Ice tea in a big glass and the hospitality is great! I'm traveling the back roads of the west and this is one of the best restaurants around. Sitting at the counter I've noticed HUGE portions of breakfasts (the biscuits and gravy look delicious!) he ladies working here are very friendly! Stop by if you are on your way to Dinosaur Nat'l Monument or just driving on US 40.

Traveling through town on the way to Moab. Almost went to Betty's Cafe and glad we didn't make the mistake. Clean tables, good service, fun peg games and better pancakes than a chain restaurant.

The food was pretty good diner food. However, the service was awful. I had a tasty corned beef and hash. The waitress was inattentive to the point that I thought I was being deliberately ignored. My coffee was refilled once. I had to track her down to pay for my meal. I have 10 years of experience in the food service industry, so I try to be understanding if a restaurant is busy. I will not come back here until they hire some motivated servers.
