Solid food. Cafeteria vibe, but nice.

For my first visit to Jason's Deli, I thought it was okay. Deli food isn't usually my first choice for dinner, but we needed to grab a bite to eat before getting our evening started at Painting With a Twist just a few doors down, and this was the fastest and closest option. I went with a bowl of the broccoli cheddar soup, and it was decent. The ham and salami muffaletta that I had a couple bites of was pretty good, but I just wasn't in much of a sandwich mood. This place was surprisingly busy for a Friday night, but service was pretty quick.

Great salad bar. Tempting desserts. Comfortable booths. Delicious food. Reasonable prices. Good parking lot. Nice employees.

Not getting much better. They packed my food wrong, I didn't get my chips with my sandwich and the lady who took my order over the phone was RUDE. I only came here since it was requested by the boss. Humph. They used to be so good.

I wasn't always a fan of Jason's Deli, but they have added a new menu item, choose your own sandwich. I am not a fan of the whole grain oaty bread, I am a white bread girl all the way and I love turkey sandwiches so deciding what goes on it is wonderful. They are a bit pricey, and I would do the salad bar but adding that along with a sandwich would be too much money for me.

Besides the food being amazing and affordable (we always get the Amy's Turkey-O and the Club Royal, sometimes the salad bar), this review is going to be mostly about the service. We have recently left Utah but we used to go in to this specific Jason's at least once a month. Upon moving, we were surprised to discover that Jason's Deli is a chain restaurant. And I say this because who I assume is the owner or general manager of the Murray Jason's, has probably been the most kind and helpful employee we've ever encountered at any eating establishment! (I'm talking to you, tall guy with shoulder length brown hair! You've been nothing but awesome to me, my husband, and my parents). Because of the excellent customer service, we had always just assumed Jason's Deli was a local restaurant and we were happy to support it. We recently went to the Jason's in Boynton Beach, FL and the food was the same, but the feeling wasn't. We may or may not go back. That's what good customer service does, folks.

What a great place! Had a half California club and a French onion soup with chips and salsa. The guy was so nice and helpful since I had never been here before. He gave suggestions and was very patient :) The French onion soup was a little salty for my taste but overall pretty good. The California club was very tasty. I was surprised to get the purple looking chips but very excited. The salsa was also very tasty. Overall I loved my meal and the size was perfect! I'm excited to come back since they have so many choices that look great! Plus the feel of the place is also very comfortable. :)

Sandwich is fresh and love the chocolate spiced mini muffins. Plus, ice cream before, during, and after lunch? How can you go wrong?

I rarely give reviews, but the service here tonight was outstanding. I brought all of my typically rowdy kids and the staff went out if their way to make tonight's meal a success and help them feel comfortable. The good was fresh and great for a fast-casual. Great work, Jason's.

OMG! Prob one of my favorite pastrami sandwiches I have tried! I have tried pastrami sandwiches at which wich, the great steak, wienerschnizel, and a few others places and nothing has compared yet. The meat was stacked high, bread toasted perfect, and had such good flavor. You can make it to order so I got Swiss cheese, mayo, and mustard on my pastrami. It tasted so fresh and the pastrami was the stand out flavor unlike some that taste too mustardy. It's a little pricey. They charge more to add cheese and to upgrade your side. I got the potato salad instead of chips for $1.29 more. It was good potato salad but not my favorite. Goodwood BBQ has better potato salad. I cannot wait to go back and have the hot pastrami sandwich again! Sooo yummy!

Straight to the point, this is a national chain so it is not naturally in my wheelhouse when it comes to food joints because I pride myself on seeking out locally owned places but I am a fan of Jason's Deli. You can always count on everything being fresh, the salad bar is always well stocked, and the made to order sandwich's are very good. Now then, the reason that I keep going back ..................... the Chicken Pot Pie soup is to die for!!! It is so rich, thick, and tasty that I just cannot get enough of it, it really is good. If you are looking for a quick lunch or dinner that features soup, salad, and sandwich's you really can't go wrong with Jason's Deli. Until next time fellow Yelper's .......................... Be Local, Live Local, and whenever possible .............. BUY LOCAL!!!!!!

If you are a meat eater, you'll like Jason's Deli. Before I went vegetarian I loved eating here. Now that I am a vegetarian, this place has lost its appeal. All of their veggie based dishes are incredibly boring and flavorless. The other day I had their spinach wrap, and had to drown it in "salsa" to get a little bit of flavor. Jason's does offer free ice cream cones, but every time I get one I end up getting really sick.

Very friendly staff. The food is fabulous. The first time I went here I was unsure how I felt about them because I stood at the counter waiting for service for several minutes before someone saw me. They made up for it in good food and friendliness though.

I come to Jason's Deli for their salad bar. It's a great deal at around $8 and a lot of people don't know this but it's all you can eat! If you finish your salad and want more, simply go back up to the counter and ask for a fresh plate. This location's salad bar is usually well stocked and has the standard ingredients (lettuce, spinach, peppers, broccoli, zucchini, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, sunflower seeds, tomatoes and lots more). The deli food is just okay with lots of processed luncheon meats and cheeses. I do applaud Jason's on their myriad bread choices (including whole wheat and gluten free) and they don't serve anything with trans fat! Bonus if you are trying to eat healthy! Kids seem to dig this place too and they have special menu items that cater to kids in particular. If you come here a lot, consider their refillable mug. You buy one and then get refills for life for 99 cents. The staff here is super friendly but if you have a special order you'd better have patience because they get it wrong 99.9% of the time. No biggie, just plan for it.

What a great refreshing place that serves a great twist on food. Every time I have gone to Jason's Deli I have really enjoyed it. I usually get the California Club (which has always been great) and the family usually gets something different that they enjoy. They have a good salad bar and a variety of different entrees. They also have a free soft serve ice cream area where you can get a cone or a little cup of ice cream and you can go back as many times as you want which is great for the kids. Give this place a try when you're either near Fashion Place mall or the Gateway mall downtown and I hope you'll be as pleased as I have been.

Great Salad Bar. I feel safe eating here, things are usually fresh.

Man, I could eat here every day. Jason's serves good food in a nice way. Their pastrami, Ruben's sandwich are generous and have everything you'd ever want in a sandwich. The prices are good, and they bring you the food at your table. Don't miss it.

Right when I stepped into this place I was impressed at its size - Pretty big for a deli! Good simple and open layout. Obviously I had to try the salad bar, so I opted for the half sandwich + salad bar combo for a reasonable $9.29 or so. A chalkboard at the register was advertising a limited time only asiago pot roast sandwich so I jumped on that and hit the salad bar straight away. Fairly standard greens and veggies at the bar, all nice and fresh, along with some not-so-typical items like spicy black bean and roasted corn salad. Good stuff. Some mousse for the sweet tooth customers too. As I'm digging into my handcrafted salad (complete with artichokes, red peppers, and hummus) my half sandwich arrives. Hmmm.... Did I order baby size? I glanced around and noticed in envy the robust sandwiches at the tables around me. Feeling rather cheated, I finish the half sandwich in five average-sized bites. It was so delicious I considered going up and ordering another half, but I reluctantly went back to my now less than awesome-looking salad to top off my stomach. Food was great, I obviously just ordered a mini-wich off the menu and was therefore kinda bummed. I'll come back but next time I will be wary of the limited time only option if I'm feeling hungry.

My favorite of the soup and sandwich places. I'm always disappointed when I go anywhere else. Their souls are the best, but everything else is great too!

Enjoyable sandwiches. I come here when I have a little more time, that way I can enjoy the 3-6 free ice cream cones. I love the muffaletta and would recommend it with no reservations. I understand that it's made by a comissary and shipped, but it works for me just fine. Plus they have free ice cream. They have soups, salads, potatoes. Plenty of variety. Also they have free ice cream. Pro tip: Every few times I go, something is off. The muff comes out with a soggy bottom (giggity) or the soup is the same consistency as glue. Just bring it back. The kitchen is exposed so you don't need to worry as much about added DNA when complaining.

Their sandwiches and pickles are excellent. I'm celiac and their always very kind and aware when it comes to that. I still get a wide variety of choices, and have been happy with all the sandwiches I've received. My boyfriend is a sandwich fanatic, and he loves their sandwiches--he seems to really like their Papa Joe sandwich (not gf). They offer free ice cream, but I'm not really a fan of it. It's more like ice milk. Their chocolate sauce is scrumptious though! They also have a currant iced tea, and I gotta tell you, I always get it and mix it with the lemonade for a tasty Arnold Palmer. All in all, I really dig the place!

Jason's deli has always been a favorite. I love the sandwiches, the baked potatoes are superb, and the salad bar is amazing. So fresh, and so delicious. Also - free ice cream!

  • Paul L.

I have been here several times and they do a rather good job at everything. The prices are a good value and there is a little bit of everything on the menu, or you can customize your order. The atmosphere is a little busy for a lunch meeting, but just right for a quick lunch. They do a good job of getting your food done in a timely manner and have free soft serve ice cream while you wait for your order. I will continue to go here periodically because overall they do a good job and make a good lunch.

  • Elisha W.

I love the plain jane baked potato. It is huge, my husband and i share one. And you cant leave without getting a free ice cream cone

  • Chris W.

3 star food, minus one star for being overpriced. Tried the turkey avocado and the Reuben. Both were subpar given the price paid for them. And i was even using a special birthday coupon--which was only a couple dollars off. some places give you a decent deal for your birthday when you do the online signup. so that is laughable they only gave a couple dollars off for a birthday coupon that isn't in some mass market mailer. not a memorable sandwich and not a good value. Won't be returning.

Best franchise deli period. I always get the salad bar but everything else is good too. The baked potatoes are so big it can feed two people. Sandwiches, soup, and wraps comes with many options. And to cap it off; free ice cream!

This Jason's Deli is located just south of the Fashion Place Mall, across the street in a strip mall. The atmosphere is light and they have TVs with ESPN on in HD so you can catch the game in a pinch. The art is mostly pictures from internationally well known cities like Rome, Paris, and London. You order from a queue at the front of the restaurant and they give you a number for your table and deliver your food to you. If you elected to eat from the salad bar then they give you a plate immediately and you can dig right in. The salad bar is two sided but the salad and the dressings are not so this causes you to have to go to each side in order to get all the parts of your salad. This is especially a problem if you are tall, there is very little chance you can reach the other side of the salad bar. To further complicate the matter, if there are people on the other side of the salad bar you have to wait until the move past the area they are in to get to the bits you need to complete your salad. They might consider raising the sneeze guard as well because it seems lower than is normal. As a tall person I usually notice this sort of thing because I have to bend over to retrieve my food from behind the sneeze guard. The menu has a wide variety of salads and sandwiches with a sprinkling of pasta, chicken and other assorted dishes, so there should be something for everyone. There are many items you can get that are served hot. Many items are taken from cuisine available in New Orleans. This is a popular lunch location so sometimes you may not be able to get a table. Usually the line moves quickly and tables are constantly opening up with only a short wait if ever, at the most crowded lunch times. Also available is free soft-service ice cream. They have the usual chocolate and vanilla or you can combine the two. Small bowls and sugar cones can be used to hold the ice cream. There are many sugary toppings you can choose from to top of your ice cream. Service was good with no complaints about the staff. They were quick to clear tables and refill the salad bar. Overall this is a pretty healthy alternative to fast food, and the prices are not outrageous. Very enjoyable.

Love this place! Everyone in our family finds something they like and still get ice cream at the end!! The staff is very helpful, and the food is great. I love the soups and salad bar!

I like this place a lot. Food seems fresh and tastes good. Prices are decent. They seem to have something for everyone. People who are watching calories, people who don't and vegetarians. This location is always busy at lunch and can be hard to find a table.

Jason's Deli is a hidden gem that really caters to all sorts of people. I got started with Jason's deli when I worked at Nordstrom in Fashion Place mall. It opened up across the street and I thought I'd give it a try. The menu honestly hasn't even changed much since then, which I consider to be a good thing. There are tons of items to pick from, many of which are clearly marked as vegetarian, which is nice. After much thinking, I chose a baked potato... boring, yes... but you can't go wrong with a potato! How do I even begin describing this thing? First thing I noticed: it was the size of my head. I'm certainly not complaining, but I had enough for 3 people. TONS of broccoli and cheese... just the way i like it. Since then, the potatoes have gotten smaller and my taste has changed as my normal thing to order is the Chicago Club and Texas Chili. The price is good, the employees are nice and you get free soft serve :) Giddy up!

Let us base this review on logic: 1. Corned beef must be made from brisket sliced across the grain to be any good. Jason's is not. 2. Ergo, this place does not have good corned beef. 3. And a deli sandwich place with no good corned beef is worthless. There's your logical proof.

    (2)
  • Shannon E.

Staff is very helpfull in trying to determine if there is any corn in specific foods I requested. My son is allergic and we wanted to make sure there were no corn products in the items he could be eating. Our food was great but I did upgrade my regular chips to salsa and chips and did not recieve them and didnt notice till i arrived home opened the bag and began eating...ugh i hate when that happens!!

  • Alyssa F.

Jason's Deli is a personal favorite of mine. The oven- roasted turkey is delicious. Every sandwich comes with potato chips and a pickle, but I would recommend upgrading to chips and salsa at least once because their homemade salsa is to die for. The only reason I am not giving Jason's 5 stars, is because getting take-out there can sometimes take FOREVER, depending on the day of course. But overall, their food is definitely worth the wait.
